N96's terrible playback noise during video playbac...

I am extremely angree to nokia n96 designers.I have been using noıkia for years.But didin't hope to have a problem like this in the most expensive mobile.Please do something and correct the mistakes.!!!!

"Noise" during video recording, normal?

Is it normal to hear a hissing/"noise" sound for lack of a better word during video recording on the ipod touch 4? I could be in a perfectly quiet room and I can still hear it. Is this normal or should I return it to a Apple store for another one? I ordered it online but figure going to the local store would be faster.

It has nothing to do with low light at least not in my case. I'm returning it to Apple, I think it's a bad speaker as I ran the memo app in a quiet room (Didn't say anything) and on playback it still made the sound (A shhhhhhhh sound)

S90 Static noise during video recording

Everytime I do video recording on my S90, I can hear static noise during playback.
Does anyone else face this problem? Is this hardware or software related?

Update the S90 via OTA
Once that is done then try again. If problem persist then open dialer and press ####1111#.
In engineering mode, select back mic test in Item test. This will record via back mic and will playback. If you still hear static during this time then bring it to the service center.

FCP audio noise during video transistions

Hi. I have a strange problem with FCP Studio 2.I captured HDV video onto my scratch disk using ProRes 422,and i finish all basic edits and use Livetype templates to generate lower third titles and drop a few seconds of AVI video to which i also add text using Boris text scrambler to superimpose text onto the AVI video in FCP. Once all is done and rendered on the timeline in FCP i can hear strange audio noise/interference a slight distortion of the audio track during any part where a LiveType title or AVI video has a intensive transition used with a audio track associated with the transition. The more intensive the video transition the more distorted (like a slight pop) the audio gets, it is noticeable. when there is no transitions, the audio is normal. Is this just lack of CPU power on my MacBook Pro causing this audio probelm?

Is everything rendered -no colored line above the video clips on the Timeline?
You might also need to check that all the render options are checked on.

Samsung TV-HDMI Cable Crackling noise during video play

I have a Samsung Plasma 50inch. Just connected the HDMI cable and audio/video works great except when they're working at the same time. If I watch any movies/videos, there is a crackling noise coming from the speakers. (If I mute the TV, the crackling noise disappears.) Any suggestions on what I should do? New cable? TV issue? I'm currently using a Belkin HDMI cable.

It could be a problem with the cable box. Connect your cable directly to the TV and see if you still have this problem, if you do call Samsung, if it goes away call your cable company.

N8 noise during video recording

When a Video Recording I hear the noise, but when I play on computer then:
-> left channel noise + sound
-> right channel normal sound (no noise)
Any solution?

Have you tried making a recording, covering the microphone and playing back the recording to see if it is still picking up noise?
The built in microphone must be damaged in some way, please take your phone to your local Nokia Care Point to repair your microphone in the N8.

Freezing with iTunes 7.6.1, thumping sound,especially during video playback

Hi,
Has anyone noticed a decrease in system reliability after upgrading to iTunes 7.6.1, especially during video/videopodcast playback in iTunes on their MacBook Pro's?
Specifically, the entire system locks up. Reminds me of the days of OS 7.5.5 when the mouse cursor freezes, keyboard stops responding. The only way to proceed is by holding down the power button.
This has occurred about 4 times now. The trackpad will become unresponsive, keyboard buttons such as caplocks and nu lock will be unresponsive too. Most interesting is that the sound output will loop, usually a short bit of the last audio played back over iTunes.
Videos which have triggered this:
- Podcast: Diggnation
- Podcast: ABC World News Now
- YouTube video's converted by Tooble
Here's a video I recorded showing the thumping noise. It sounds like the last audio dump before the crash looped. It's not coming from the hard drive. Definitely from the speakers.

In the video you see I had World of Warcraft up, but I don't think it is the problem, because this kind of crash has occurred while using other programs.

External second monitor attached: eMachines 15" LCD
Prefrence panes additions: Application Enhancer, Divx, FinderPop, Flip4Mac WMV, Perian, Teleport, WindowShade X.
Have NOT installed Security Update 2008-001 OR AirPort Utility 5.3.1 pending user problem reports.
I never had such a complete system freeze until about the time I updated to iTunes 7.6.1. Repaired disk, permissions, cleaned up virtual memory, cache's using AppleJack.

First, create a new user account and see if you can replicate the problem on that account.
If so, start by killing all the running daemons that aren't OS X-native apps. In other words, Window Shade X, Application Enhancer, divx, etc. Quit all that junk and use Activity Monitor to make sure those apps aren't running background tasks. I'd be willing to bet that Application Enhancer is the culprit.
See if that solves the problem. If so, you can add the applications back one by one until you find the one that's causing problems.

IPod 5G Freezes during Video Playback

iPod freezes during video playback. Does anybody else have this problem?
Usually freezes up about 10 minutes into a video, and then complety locks up. This usually requires 2 to 3 restarts untill it comes back working properly.

Mine does the same. It really only happens to me when I try to navigate thru menus when video is playing. I usually have to do a forced Reset. I truly think that introducing video on the iPod was not ready for primetime as it is very sluggish, buggy and sensitive during playbabck of video. No problems with music whatsoever but I am frustrated with the very finicky video qualities of this thing.

Skips & Scratch Noises during playback ...

I am all of a sudden getting skips & scratch noises during playback on certain albums during playback on Itunes and it transferred over to my ipod ... What could be causing this and how can I get rid of it. ( No it is not the CD it was burned from cause it sounds perfect playing on other devices)

I have observed this with my 4th gen Nano. The sound is pristine through the headphone jack, but when connected via some (older) dock devices there are little bursts of static every few moments.
I have tried this with a Bose Sounddock and a Tivoli iSongbook. Same thing. The little static bursts are NOT repeatable (random), and do NOT appear in headphones. Most people would probably never notice this noise, especially if they play only rock music. Music with less percussive sound reveals the problem more easily.
The very same files played through the dock devices on my old 3rd Gen iPod sound perfect.
I was getting ready to ask Apple to exchange my Nano for another to see if that has any effect. Other than this issue, I love it and it works great.

IPhone 4 rebooting during video playback

My new iPhone 4 is rebooting whenever I play a video. It can be a Youtube, a podcast or a video I recorded with the camera. Sometimes it does it a minute or so into the video, sometimes when the video ends. I am also getting artifacts on the screen during video playback. Any help? I have Genius Bar appointment this weekend to see if they have a solution.

Went to Genius Bar and it was a hardware issue. Brand new iPhone 4 in my pocket.

IPad 2 screen becomes unresponsive during video playback

I just purchased an iPad 2, and one of the first disappointments I've seen is that the screen becomes completely unresponsive during playback of a video with the "Videos" App. This happens after the video has been playing for several seconds. Is there a fix to this problem? My only recourse was to shut down the application; however, the problem is persistent. This means there is NO control of video playback, i.e., pause, FForward, Reverse, Skip???? I have already updated my iPad 2 with the latest OS. What gives???

What quite often works for people with problems with the Videos app are the following.
Try searching for the name of one of your videos on the iPad's spotlight search screen - swipe your first homescreen to the right, type in it's name, and if it finds it tap on it to see if it plays.
If that doesn't work then try closing the Videos app completely : from the home screen (i.e.not with the Videos app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Videos app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option if the two above don't work is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

How do I stop notifications/reminders during video playback?

I need to use my iPad to show some videos at work. I am showing videos to large crowds in an auditorium. How do I prevent notifications/reminders from stopping the playback of my video?

Seems like there should be a global Notifications switch to turn all off temporarily when watching video or for other situations where you don't want to be interrupted. It is crazy/very unfriendly to have to individually adjust each notification item every time a non-interrupt situation arises.

after updating my ipad 1 to ios 5.11 the sound on my ipad sometimes stops suddenly. it happens during video playback, music listening or just text typing on keyboard.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

Docked iPod only outputs sound during video to TV

I have a 5G iPod in an Apple dock, connected to my TV using a Monster audio cable and an S-Video cable. For some reason, it only outputs sound during videos or a photo slide show - not at all for music only playback. I'm baffled! Any idea why? It's a Panasonic plasma, and I've tried three different inputs. None work for music, but video is fine.

The iPhone 4, unlike iPod, doesn't ask you to set for PAL or NTSC. In fact, in the SETTINGS/Video menu it only asks if you want to "Start Playing From Beginning", "Closed Captioning" and "Home Sharing". I was surprised it had no settings like the iPod at all.

Problems with audio during video after itunes update

Recently updated to the new itunes and now there is no audio only during video playback. Tv shows and movies that previously played fine other than synchronization issues now have no audio. Help!

If you installed "dreamrecorder" on only one of your Mac laptops, you can use the other Mac to test your iSight to ensure it is functional. Try the suggestions in the " iSight: How to Troubleshoot" link there, too. Once you know that your External iSight is working correctly, you can concentrate on repairing the problem apparently caused by your "dreamrecorder" installation.
Third party applications can sometimes cause conflicts with iSight, especially if they are not installed or uninstalled properly.
Some applications provide "uninstallers" or specific instructions for all steps required to do a proper uninstall. If your "deinstalling" was accomplished by simply dragging such an application to the trash, some changes made when you installed the software may remain and be the cause of your problem. Check the Help or readme documentation for the "dreamrecorder" to be sure you uninstall correctly. Follow those instructions exactly.
You may need to reinstall the software to find the Help or readme info. If you do not want to reinstall to find the Help or readme files, or if they do not give you the help you need, you should be able to get the answers from the software developer's website. The developer may have FAQs, online documentation, or a support forum dedicated to his specific software. Many developers also offer technical support contact information to give you technical assistance by phone or email.
If none of those help you, the best suggestion I can offer for your "dreamrecorder" questions is a Google Search.
