N96 text messaging Problems auto change from sms t...

N96 text messaging changes from SMS to MMS when delivering to more than so many people how do i stop this
i create a text and when i select add recipients if i select so many people it changes the text to a MMS if i add a group of people it does the same too. How do i stop this?

roll on the firm ware updat from what i can see there a hell of alot of bugs. and i dont know how there logic works out with the MMS being cheaper.
You send a 1 -3 page SMS text to someone it costs 30p (or free if u have free texts) you send 1 MMS it costs roughly 35p.
ok the text will be reduced to 1 message when changed to MMS but still cost u 35p instead of 0p.
Also the N96 at 1st is only available on CONTRACT which means people going to have free texts so i the long run its going to cost people more money the way they have it set up plus if you dont know about this feature and send texts that it changes to mms (WITHOUT IT ALLERTING YOU) it costing people money they got some kind of commision going with the service providers?
a simple feature would of been to have it so it goes to change it and comes up with a message and the option to keep the same or convert but that would be too simple wouldnt it lol.
Dont you just love big companies ways of thinking (they dont!!!)

You will need to purchase the upgrade CD for 10.6 from the Apple Online store, OR you can likely get one at an Apple Retail Store.  It is the last version that was available on CD.  After 10.6, the upgrades are available in the Mac App Store.

Why can't I send or receive text messages to some users from my iPad mini while there is no problem texting them from my iPhone?

With the Apple iMessage app, You can only Message with other iOS users - iPads, iPod Touch, iPhone users and Macs running Mountain Lion or higher. With your iPhone, you can send standard SMS text messages to any phone, including Android phones.
The iPad cannot send SMS messages or receive them either.

You are only as young as you feel......
This is an example of how you can select the exact content that you want to sync to your device. You do not have to sync the entire iTunes library. You can pick and choose the music, apps, books and so on that you want to sync. This is using music as an example.
Connect the iPad to the PC and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Music Tab on the right.
Click on only the albums or playlists that you want to sync.
Click on the Sync Music Heading.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
You can do this with apps, books, movies .... Whatever .... You have the freedom to sync whatever you want.

  • Is it possible for sms text messages to be forwarded from one iPhone to another

Hi I'm looking for a bit of help please? Is it possible for sms text messages to be forwarded from one iPhone to another without the use of such app as mysms or google voice as neither of these seem to work. Apple sugested that my network provider can usually assist in such maters with a few simple setting there end. Does anyone have previous experience in these matters. Thanks Matt.

Do you mean forward them automatically?
As you can manually forward any SMS or iMessage to any number you want directly from the iOS Messages app.

  • Fraudulent text message claims to be from Verizon - a scam.

Be advised of a fraudulent Verizon message offering a $20.00 off your monthly bill.  This seems to be a scam (not confirmed).  When I called they requested information that could be a used to access my account.  I didn't provide any information.  The phone number provided in the Verizon message was 855-238-1597 which I later found to be a scam.

... don't assume. As a rule Verizon will not automatically change a customer's account. There have been some offers that allowed customers to reply to text message thereby approving changes. There are some current valid offers from Verizon that may match this offering. When in doubt call *611 from your cell phone. Be aware that any call TO Verizon they will ask for your name and SS# or password to verify your identity.

  • I have an iMac desk top, iPad, and two iPhones. Someone (a family relative) has somehow copied text messages, and possibly emails from our iPhones, and sent them to other people. He has had access to my wife's iPhone numerous times. Can I check our iPhone

I have an iMac desk top, iPad, and two iPhones. Someone (a family relative) has somehow copied text messages, and possibly emails from our iPhones, and sent them to other people. He has had access to my wife's iPhone numerous times. Can I check our iPhones to detect any surveillance apps(bugs) on them?

Whose Apple ID are you using? It sounds like whoever co-opted the account may have changed the security questions as well.
    Follow the instructions here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5665
What should I do if I don't remember the answers to my Apple ID security questions?
Try answering them at least once to see if you can get them right, even if you are not sure you remember the answers to your security questions.
If you are confident you can't remember them, try one of the following:
If you have three security questions and a rescue email address
sign in to My Apple ID and select the Password and Security tab to send an email to your rescue email address to reset your security questions and answers.
If you have one security question and you know your Apple ID passwordsign in to My Apple ID and select the Password and Security tab to reset your security question.
If you have one security question, but don't remember your Apple ID password
contact Apple Support for assistance. Learn more about creating a temporary support PIN to help Apple confirm your identity when you contact Apple Support.
Note: If you have forgotten your password and answer your security questions incorrectly too many times in a row, you will be unable to try to answer your security questions for a period of time. During that time you will not be able to reset your password and will not have access to your account.

    Thank you!!!

With no backup? No. Are you not syncing your contacts either over-the-air or with a supported application on your computer?

  • Text messages and phone calls from March 2012 to date are missing after activating iphone5

text messages and phone calls from March 2012 to date are missing after activating iphone5. I backed up my 4 before activating my 5. Can i retrieve them somehow?

i would not want to bet on nokia ever releasing a patch or update in the software to allow this function on this particular phone.
if you look at nokia phones over the years, they have added functionality like this across a wide range all at once, take for example timed profiles on symbian phones. these have only just been phased in.
i do not think it is a development cop out, more along the lines that nokia is a huge company and as such would have a huge effor in market research. if they didnt pick this out through their market researc, why spend the money adding it?
the comment on annoyance is entirely personal to me, as it is important to you - you may want to consider moving to a symbian (series 60) based handset as these give you a lot of expansion for this sort of need.

  • Why am i having problems since changing from snow leopard loading maverick

why am i having problems since changing from snow leopard downloading maverick

Yes you solved your own question, use printer handles color, whcih shodul have been the default. If you do want to experiment with Photohsop manages color, try the CMYK profiles, and send a cmyk file. Only exception is if you print to one of the few RGB printers like a lambda.

  • Restoring Only Text Messages and Phonecall History From Backup

    Hello,
I just restored my iPhone and I was wondering if there was a way to restore only text messages and phonecall history from my back up this morning.
The backup is located on my Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard if that helps. Thanks in advance for any help.
    Rgds,
    ValeraPRP

    Welcome to the discussions,
you can only restore the whole content of the backup, at least that's what is supported by Apple. There is software out there letting you read and extract parts of your backup, for example photos, but you'll have to use this on your own risk. One example can be found here: http://supercrazyawesome.com/
Whatever you do, make sure to back up your backup folder before, or use Time Machine to do it for you.

  • When selecting SMS/Text Message iPHone 4 changes it to MMS message!

I am having a weird problem with my iPhone 4 - when I select "text message" either by starting a text from the "messages" menu or from within "contacts" it sometimes (about 50% of the time) tries to change the message into an MMS. If I don't attach an image it won't allow me to send even though there is only text in the message.
I can't seem to find a wqay to change it from an MMS to a standard text message so end up cutting the text, switching the phone off and on again and trying to paste the same text into a new message. This only works some of the time .. very curious to know if anyone else has this problem as I LOVE this phone but this particular thing is driving me crazy!! Thanks

May be that it has become necessary to swap out one application module for another to initiate the SMS Application.
With all the new features recently added by Apple such as the iTunes Store, Apple may have had to implement an application switching algorithm to keep the maximum memory available for videos, music, ringtones, etc. storage.
Just one possible reason for a delay - application switchout (paging).

  • Problems with text messages due to changing to galaxy s5

So I'm not receiving any text messages from iPhone users! I had an iPhone, and recently swapped to a galaxy s5! If anyone can help!? It will be greatly appreciated

    Hi cabs007,
If you have recently switched away from the iPhone and are having issues receiving messages from iPhone users, you may find the following article helpful:
    iOS: Deactivating iMessage
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5185
Also, if possible, you may want to see if your contacts can delete any current message conversations they are having with you to ensure that their phones recognize that you are no longer using iMessage.
