N96, USB Connection Problems.

Iv Used the USB device before to transfer films and music to the handset but whenever i now put the USB device into the headset the Internet connection option pops up and when i cancel it it just pops up again. anyway to fix this ?

When you plug in the usb you should get the standard 4 options
PCSuite
Media Transfer
Mass Storage
Image Transfer
Did you install anything before your phone started behaving in this way
Which version of the firmware are you using
Have you tried a restore factory settings

after ios upgrade to ios6 i am not further able to use the iPhone 4s as music device - having usb connection problems ("not readable"). I am sure, that the upgrade ist the culprit; worked fine before. My car stereo is built in a Volvo XC 60; the device is connected via the standard usb cable by apple.

N78 USB CONNECTIVITY PROBLEMS

Hy guys,
Since i've bought my N78 i've been able to connect the phone via cable only one time. After that, every time i've tryed to connect my n78 via cable my computer doesn't recognize my Phone.
When I plug USB cable in one of the USB ports, Windows XP gives me back an error that says "USB devices not recognized - One or more devices connected to the computer has not worked correctly. Windows is not able to recognize it".
I've reinstalled PC suite thousands of times,but nothing changes.
My phone has the 12.046 software version. I know that there'e a newer version but how I can update it if my PC does not recognize the phone, and hence, PC suite is not able to connect to the phone.

you have another option in updating via Firmware Over The Air. you can do this by entering *#0000# in the standby screen and selecting Options > Check for updates. if an update is not available over NSU, then it may be on FOTA instead for your product code. this method of updating only takes about three to five minutes anyway. remember to do a hard reset (three-finger hard reset) after updating your phone to the new firmware.
so you can probably update from 12.046 to 20.149 or 21.002. USB connectivity problems are probably due to problems with the USB cable or the computer, i have had no problems at all with USB connectivity in all the time i've had my N78, even under 12.046 firmware.

Nokia N900 USB connection Problem

Hi,
Nokia N900 USB connection Problem.
I am very embarrassed to admit this but.......
I removed something (I cannot remember what) and now when I connect my Nokia N900 to my pc using the data cable it starts charging only.
Previously I could choose between "mass storage" mode and "PC Suite" mode.
Now I cannot access any files on my phone from my PC.
can anyone help please?

N96 Usb connection

Hi guys just a quick technical question.
When i try to connect my n96 to media player it will recognize it as a n96 but on the phone it will have usb connecting an will stay that way.
It also does the same thing on pc suite can any of you shed any light on this problem?

What do mean connecting to media player? Please explain furher. When you connect your N96 by usb to PC/Laptop you are presented 4 modes of connection. Namely Pc suite, mass storage, image transfer & media transfer.
If it stays on connecting, it means it could not establized proper connection & loading the drivers.Did you have previuos version of pcsuite when you install that of N96? If yes, you should uninstall it & all pertaining to Nokia. Then run pcsuite cleaner reboot & install the pcsuite for N96.

N96 USB connection issues

Hey all, new to this whole forum posting thing.
I bought a n96 (optus software installed) and have been having no end of problems with the USB connection. everytime I connect the phone, it comes up with connect to and give's you some options (wlan,internet....) when I go to device manager in windows it see's the phone but nokia PC suite can't find it. It works fine through Bluetooth just not USB.. Is this a common problem? Anybody please help

You could check that you haven't a Remote Drive Setup incorrectly: Menu > Tools > Settings > Connection > Remote Drives
If you have anything in the list, hit the 'c' (clear/cancel) and delete it.

E66 usb connection problem

Hello,
i own a Nokia E66. Since i updated my phone i cannot connect it to the pc using the usb cable. There is a file in the phone called 2002aa97.sis and after the update it says that this file is corrupted. This file is responsible for the usb connection. Is there a way to download this file?? Or any other solution??

Ovi Suite/ PC Suite USB Connection Problem

I had problem connecting the phone through USB selecting either PC Suite mode and Media Transfer mode, (the phone will display the USB logo beside the battery status for a few seconds if i select the modes mentioned above, then the logo will go missing as if no USB connection, can't browse the files through Windows Explorer and the Ovi Suite didn't detect the phone)
however i can connect through Mass Storage mode and browse the mass storage and also view images in Image Transfer mode
P.S. previously it is working normal, but today it started to act like that
may i know what is the problem?

Thank you for posting and welcome to Nokia forum!
To use your phone as a modem to connect a compatible PC to web.
Install the Nokia Suite to your PC. The latest Nokia Suite includes the compatible drivers.
Connect the data cable and select Connect PC to Web. The confirmation is displayed: Connect PC to web mode activated.
When the necessary Windows software is installed to your PC, accept the installation. If asked, accept the connection as well and the internet browser of your PC will open.
Check the connection settings (Internet Access Point) from your phone for your PC. Select Web > Options > Settings > General > Access point.

Nokia 3710 - PC usb connection problem

I have the latest firmware on my 3710 and the settings on Connectivity are set USB Data Cable to PC Suite.
When I connect the USB Cable from my PC to the phone, my PC which runs Windows 7 Home Premium does not even recognized that there has been some kind of USB connection. Is my phone faulty?

Nokia doesn't supply USB cables with all its phones. So it may b the case. From where did u get that cable? And is it new or used? If its a Nokia Original & its not working then u can check the compatibility on the Nokia Website of ur region.

Acura USB Connection Problems After iOS 8.2 Update

I have a 2014 Acura MDX and prior to the iOS 8.2 update, I could play music either via Bluetooth or the USB connection through the iPod "source" (though the USV connection had far superior sound). After the update, the USB connection doesn't work anymore. Same cables used and the iPhone picks up a charge so it is not a bad connection. Anyone else having the same issue?

i was sold a ca-50 usb data cable to connect my phone to pc. ive downloaded pc suite 7.1 and its just not working. Any ideas? Have I got wrong cable? Or do i need to change the settings on my phone?

You have the Nokia 2330 classic? I don't think that model has a usb connection other than a special connection to use for Nokia care points.

USB connection problem

Whenever I connect my tab to any PC or laptop with the help of USB cable, it doesn't get connected. It doesn't show pop up window regarding USB connection. USB slot is working very well. Tab gets charged through it well. Functional trouble it is. Will anybody solve it ?

Hello, and Welcome to the HP Support Community! Need a few details. Which tablet are you asking about? What OS is on your PC? Tried another cable? Usual suggestion is to disconnect the devices, and reboot both the computer and the tablet. Check the settings on the tablet in Settings/Storage/ <options icon, top right corner - looks like 3 blocks stacked vertically>/ USB computer connection. See if MTP is checked. It should be for transfer of all file types. Connect the devices. If still no joy, try unchecking MTP and try PTP. This should make the tablet appear as a Camera. I had to do this with an old Win XP computer to get it to "wake up" and make the connection. I then switched back to MTP and all was good! WyreNut

Pple 24" LED and Mac Pro usb connection problem

I'm having issues with my Mac Pro 8 core (2008) connected to an Apple 24" LED. I have a Radeon HD 4870 graphics card installed in the Mac so I can use the Apple LED mini displayport connection. The video works perfectly fine but to use the built-in speakers and iSight in the Apple LED I have to use the USB cables and connect them to the USB sockets of the Mac Pro. This is where the problem seems to be as after a time using the Mac it crashes in a strange manner and I get a few lines of coding and the Mac shuts down on its own. I've used Dr Botts extension cables to extend to reach of the USB cables which I thought maybe the issues and taken this off and I've also unplugged any devices plugged into the extra USB sockets on the Apple LED. I think it's something to do with using the speakers as playing video seems to crash the Mac also but once I unplug the USB cables the video plays fine, but without speaker sound. Has anyone had similar problems and have any solutions?

Desktop manager 6 USB connection problems with BB bold 9780

Hello,
I am running Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit on a DELL XPS 8100 PC.
The latest version of the desktopmanager 6 is 6.2010 (Bundle 21).
The desktop manager is not able to connect to my BB 9780 bold via USB.
It short of partially connects to the device. It is able to display its model, PIN and device software version. However when I go to the organize tab and I press the "Configure settings button" an error message is displayed telling me that the device is not connected.
In the control panel there is a device "BlackBerry 9780".
I have tried various things so far without success
1) Uninstalled/ installed desktopmanager software
2) Tried different USB ports
3) Tried to connect via HUB
4) Reset my 9780 device by removing the battery
When I connect my 9780, the device pops up a menu with 3 choices:
1) mount as USB device"
2) synchronize media"
3) charge only"
I tried 1 and 2, no luck.
I just had the BB 9780 for one day. Without a working synchronize option
I can not use it.
Is there anyone who can give some advice ?

I finally solved the problem. The USB mass storage device failed to install because of a conflict.
The conflict was caused by the software package NTI Shadow&Ninja. After removing NTI Shadow &Ninja and reinstalling the BB desktop software, all the USB drivers installed correctly.
The bold is now recognized by the BB desktop manager. It also shows up as a drive in the explorer.

USB connection problems... help??

Ok, i have no idea what the **** is wrong with my Ipod.. I connect it to the USB wire and it lights up, but it refuses to connect to Itunes, nor does it wish to synchronise any of the songs/videos/pictures/etc and its stubborn arse also refuses to charge up.
I know for a fact its connected since my PC tells me so (this USB device would work faster in a 2.0 Hub) ~ I got that in the past, ive had my Ipod for quite some time now, almost a year i'd say... and this is the only problem i've ever had with it but its starting to irritate me now..
I'm not too sure if this may be the problem as I was recently deleting unused hardware from my PC and may have accidentally removed a software that my Ipod needed to connect to Itunes, but on saying that, i downloaded the new Itunes 8 as I assumed any missing hardware etc would be replaced/added back in, and in turn, would re-connect the Ipod.. and still, nothing..
so im not sure if its something ive removed by accident, or if its something else (reading some of the topics/threads i see some are having similar problems so im not entirely sure if its my fault, or itunes8).
Any help anyone can give me would be gratefully appreciated.

If you have a Push email account (such as Mobile ME, Exchange or Yahoo) go into Settings/mail,contacts,calendar, tap on the account, and switch it OFF. Then press home. Reboot (Hold HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears). After it finishes booting go back to settings and turn that account back ON. Note that your are turning the ACCOUNT off, not turning PUSH off.
