N96 - Video player crashing
Watching the video player today and for some reason it has started crashing.
I hear an error beep and the screen goes white but not like a reset, can still see the black outline for stop or options in the corners.
I can hold down the menu key and go back to standby after awhile though.
Any ideas? Using v12 firmware and have done a hard reset just a couple of weeks ago.
Thanks
Nokia 5800... probably the best Nokia I have ever owned.
Bizarely, the same thing happened to me for the first time today. I restarted to be on the safe side. I am on v11 firmware (haven't bothered to update yet). It was a show I downloaded from iPlayer, but have watched loads before with no problems...

Video Player crashing when trying to play videos
I have some videos downloaded to my iPad. Some of them play fine. However a lot of them will not play - when I try to play them the app crashes. I have tried restarting my iPad, deleting the videos and re-downloading them, and closing everything to make sure nothing is going on in the background, but this doesn't work. My only other idea was to return it to factory settings, but I wondered if anyone had any other ideas so that this would not be necessary.

Built in video player crashes?
After playing videos from iPhone and Canon point-and-shoot camera the player will stop playing and displays some message and I have to reboot the program.
Any ideas why it does this?
Thanks. If you are using the FLVPlayback component, you need to assign it an instance name and then use that name to target it to tell it to stop.
You assign an instance name to it by selecting it on the stage and entering a name for it in the Properties panel where it says <Instance Name>. THen in your button's event handler code you use that name to tell the player to stop... if you name it flvPlayer, you'd use: flyPlayer.stop(); -
Movie Yellow Submarine crashes video player on iPad
On my iPad 3rd generation the video player crashes every time I want to play the movie Yellow Submarine (HD and SD). All other movies play ok. Also Yellow Submarine plays fine on my Apple TV and my Mac. I tried deleting and new syncing all movies on my iPad, but that didn't help.

Where do I find the shuffle to turn off in the music player?
Start playing music from your music library, then when the album artwork is full screen, tap the artwork to bring up the controls. Make sure that the shuffle indicator, two intertwined arrows, is NOT blue. It should be to the right of the scrubbing bar. -
Hi,
I bought a new laptop maybe 2 weeks ago. It worked fine up until 2,3 days ago. Videos online (ie. youtube) no longer work. I either get a green screen (other videos online, random sites) or the video player crashes and asks me to send the error report (happens whenever i click a youtube video).
I'm running windows 8 (64-bit) and the latest flash player is installed (the .117 one)
Someone please help,
I can't watch any videos and my laptop is brand new!
Thank you in advance."green" indicates an outdated graphics driver; see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/945765
Or you could disable hardware acceleration. -
Flash player crashes on certain videos/websites.
I have no idea why but when i try to load a video on some video sites my browser crashes. Ive tried it in Firefox and IE and both of them crash. For example www.liveleak.com crashes for me. If i want to watch a video like this http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=ac6_1242783089 everything on the page will load up except the video player. As soon as it tried to load the video player it crashes.
Another website the same thing happens on is www.ebaumsworld.com. For example http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/80638734/ everything loads fine except the video/video player. It doesn’t have a chance to load the video player before it crashes. Ive disabled my flashplug in and the websites will load fine (well with no video)
Other websites such as youtube.com work fine. I have no idea what i causing these problems. I have uninstalled + reinstalled flash correctly 6 times now and still no luck.
Maybe some relevance. I updated my windows messenger live to the newest version and this crashes during the sign in process. Anyone have any ideas what’s going on + how to fix it.
-Many thanks.I posted earlier in this thread. Flash continues to crash regardless of browser, though I have settled on Chrome as when flash crashes it only drops that element out of the webpage rather than dropping the whole browser.
I believe I have found a solution! I have an ATI 4650 HD card and I was setting up hardware HD video decoding and came across a post about Flash 10.1 Beta, that allows compatible video cards to use hardware acceleration for embedded flash apps. After downloading and installing I have not experienced another crash, when normally I would have between 5-10 by now.

Flash player crashing in all browsers for live video
The Flash video player is crashing all browsers when I try to watch live video (specifically, live feeds out of Egypt, notably Al Jazeera's live feed).
I'm on a MacBook Pro, OS X 10.6.6, using Safari, Firefox and Chrome browsers. In Chrome, I can hear audio for about 60 seconds - no video - and then it crashes. Safari & Firefox crash almost immediately. They all give me various messages about Flash crashing the browser.
I uninstalled Adobe Flash Player, then re-installed it, rebooted my laptop, etc. I checked all the player settings, and they're apparently set as they should be.
Any ideas? The same thing is happening to me in Safari, Chrome and Firefox. I cleared my cache, deleted my flash cookies, and reinstalled Flash. None of those worked to bring it back. It was working on a PC running XP yesterday.

Flash video player is crashing my computer.
Since the end of March my computer has been crashing / hard shutdown whenever I play a flash video on sites like Hulu, CBS, Youtube and so on, -if the video has HD options.
I did a fresh Win 64 install on this PC in January.
This has not happened on this PC before
I tried
- on new IE and FF
- uninstalling a reinstalling flash, and installing an older version (v10)
- uninstalling and reinstalling video card drivers to older versions
- running it with no firewall and/or no antivirus enabled (MSSE)
- a mem test
to no avail, everything ( games, adobe reative suite, MS offive) works perfectly except for flash video player.
I have
Win 64
AMD 62X2 Core 6000+ 3GHz
8 GB ram
Nvidia 460 GTX
WDC 2TB Cache 64MBHave you tried disabling hardware acceleration in Flash Player?
How do I disable or enable hardware acceleration? -

Flash Player Crashing every time it is opened
About a week ago I decided to remove the trial version of PSE from my computer. The trial period was over and to be honest I like Gimp much, much better (even more so now given all the problems I have encountered this past week.) I had a very difficult time getting PSE removed from my computer; even running my system as an administrator with full permissions granted, I kept getting the message that I did not have permission to change this file, it required an administrator. WTF big time! I contacted tech support to find out why I was having this problem, but unfortunately poor Gilligan was so lost all he could do was imply that I must be lying. Yes, that actually happened folks. I asked to be connected to a higher level and was supplied with a dead link. I finally got this Adobe crapware off my computer using brute force-yes Virginia, I did try using uninstall utilities of several flavors. There was no uninstall feature with the PSE software which led Gilligan to tell me I did not know what I was doing or talking about; I don't work for Adobe so I do know a little bit about what I am doing, sorry Gilligan. In cleaning the registery I was shocked to see what Adobe had placed in my system and even more shocked to see where it had been placed; why does Adobe feel the need to hide data miners in their crapware?
Since this issue with PSE, Flash Player has completely stopped functioning; prior to this everything functioned flawlessly. However, now every time I encounter flash content on a web page I am greeted by that familiar greyed out message, "Adobe Flash Player has crashed, send an error reort." I am not exagerating when I say that I have submitted well in excess of 100 error reports just in the past day alone. I have uninstalled and reinstaled new copies of Flash Player several times now, the latest version, 11 I think it was, as well as some of the archived older versions; after every install I have been directed to an Adobe web page telling me that Flash has been properly installed. My drivers are up to date on EVERYTHING, I utilize a utility that checks for updates regularly. I am running Windows 7 in a 64 bit environment (and yes I know for a fact that it is 64bit as I installed the 64 bit OS, and have verified it.) Using the latest version of IE, 9.0.8112.16421 (both 32 and 64 bit versions), when Flash Player crashes so does IE, every time. I open a web page containing flash content and poof, adobe error message followed by the IE error message, "something has caused IE to stop working properly." Using the most current version of FF, 8.0.1, this happens about 50% of the time and wipes my RAM completely clean clean when it crashes. I have removed everything branded as Adobe from my computer, and attempted starting from scratch. The only option I know of that is left is to wipe the drive clean and reinstall everything from scratch (yes Gilligan, that really is the only thing that has yet to be tried that I personally know of.)
So do I just give up and resign myself to never again see an online video until web developers realize just how crappy Adobe software has become and cleanse the web of flash and all things Adobe?? Or is there by some slim chance someone out there that has found a work around? What would really be nice is to have an alternative to Adobe Flash; I guess this shows why monopolies are a very bad thing as it allows for this sort of crap (trust me, I want to say so much worse right now, I really have come to despise Adobe) to go unchecked as long as they can turn a profit. So, any suggestions????I dont know what's happening, Abode crashes all the time. I installed the latest version of Java, Mozilla, all updates on windows XP. Ca you help me?

This is my problem:
The newest flash player crashes everytime I open certain web pages like failblog or tinychat which requires a webcam
I'm not sure what is causing it but it's only when i'm on those webpages that it crashes...
I can go on youtube kongregate steam and I can play tons of games the only thing I cant do is go on certain websites that messes with the newest version of flash for some reason...
I can use ANY other version of adobe flash and it won't crash at all but the problem with using the older versions is that I can't use my webcam on certain sites.
Will there be another update release for adobe flash that will fix this problem? The previous version was fine I don't know what was changed but will it get fixed?
And yes I have also been into the error logs but it doesn't show anything and the codes that it does show, people don't know what the hell it means lol just a bunch of binary number like data...I could post that but I doubt it would be of any help it's just a few short lines of numbers on each crash...I have purposely crashed my computer about 2 times to check if error logs popup and to see what is crashing the flash player but nothing changes in the crash log..
So to sum my problems up into a short paragraph....newest flash player crashes my computer when I go on webcam/webchat/certain websites with flash videos on it, also if I right click and try to tamper with the settings it also crashes my computer...I would like to know if there's a possible fix for this or will there be another update released anytime soon?
Please help and thank you for all future responses I will continue to use older versions of flash player till this problem is resolved, also on my newer i-7 620 processor 5850 ati laptop it crashes but rarely although I can use my webcam on msn on that computer but this is one has problems....Sorry I wasn't able to respond for a while I work two jobs so I really don't have time for this although I would still like to get this solved very much.
In the event viewer all it says is that there was an unexpected shut down.
I have checked and updated everything on both computers I tried to disable hardware acceleration and that still didn't change anything.
Sometimes when I try to just right click on a flash player and change the settings it crashes, if I try to load certain pages it crashes, if I try to use a webcam chat on a webcam site it crashes. Though I can still view other people's webcams in chat ex: tinychat I could be in there chatting away with some friends from across country and nothing will happen until I click webcam and flash player asks to allow, it will crash if I try to right click anywhere and that little flash settings popup it crashes.
All of this happens when I use the most current version of flash player any other previous version will not crash when doing any of this although I can't use my webcam since the website is running an updated version which is why I would like to get this problem fixed.
The new firefox update didn't help at all it still just freezes. There is no blue screen, no crash error report, no event log. The event viewer just says it was shut down unexpectedly.
I also tried uninstalling all webcam applications unplugging my webcam and that didn't affect it at all. I've done everything that people have been doing on here to solve there problems, I used the search button and tried options from various threads but none work for me.
I can do everything normally that requires flash player like play games, watch videos, and other stuff but it just crashes when I do those certain things as stated above. It's weird that there is no log, no anything just a freeze and I can't do anything to the computer i've tried letting it sit for about 15 minutes but it didn't respond. I used ctrl alt del after a while, alt tab, alt f4, holding down certain keys, holding the power button in for a while and nothing will happen. It just sits frozen untill I unplug it.
Is there anything I can do to get an error log of the crash since event viewer isn't working? -
Flash Player crashes on every browser?
I know this topic seems to be common, but a lot of the things I have seen in other posts really has not helped me at all.
So, I think it's my turn to ask.
I am on Flash 11.2.202.235.
My OS is Mac OS X Lion.
No matter what browser I use, or at least the three that are on this computer, they all don't work and there's no crash report that could help me at all. It crashes every so often after maybe, 2 or 3 youtube videos or 5 or 10 minutes of seeing anything that would require flash.
First, when Flash Player crashes on Google Chrome 19, the whole webpage turns white, and I have to reload the page countless amounts of times until it works again.
When I try in Firefox, an error pops up that says "The Adobe Flash Plugin has crashed. No report available. Reload the page to try again." With a very depressed looking lego block.
When it crashes in Safari, the area of what is supposed to be the thing using flash becomes white and nothing happens.
I've tried reinstalling, clearing cache, deleting the browsers and reinstalling, and all of that, but, it continues to crash and I hope someone could help me!
Thanks!Hi,
Sorry for cutting in. I have exactly the same problem too and all things have been done, but no luck. I am using a Mac Pro with OS X 10.7.4, and here comes my about:flash results:

Flash player crashes in every browser
Hi everyone,
3 weeks ago I bought a HP Pavilion g6-2052sd laptop. since the first day i used it I haven't been able to play any videos on the internet (youtube, facebook etc.)
For example when I go to youtube and click on a video it starts loading and then it just stops loading and my browser and operating system freeze. It stays like this for about 5 minutes and then I get an error message saying that my flash player crashed.
After that my browser and operating system start to function normally again but I still can't play any videos because when I do everything freezes again.
I have updated all my video and audio drivers and even re-installed my browser and flash player. I have also tried using different browsers(Internet Explorer, Google Chrome) nothing i've tried works. So I am hoping that someone here can help me out.
I am currently using:
HP Pavilion g6-2052sd laptop
Windows 7 home premium 64-bit
Firefox 15.0.1
Flash player 11,4,402,278
Video driver AMD Radeon HD 7520G version: 8.941.1.0
Audio driver IDT High Definition Audio version: 6.10.6381.0there was an identified hp security driver incompatibility. crashes seem to happen more frequently on HP laptops with fingerprint scanners. depending on the driver used, users would experience the constant crashes. if you fall under this... you can do 1 of 3 things.
install flash player 11.5 beta
install flash player 10.3
wait for the next official release

Adobe Flash Player crashes on Firefox (NetSteam, Stratus)
Flash Player version: 11,8,800,97 (last)
OS: Windows 7
Browser: Mozilla Firefox 22.0 (last)
Problem: Adobe Flash Player crashes on Firefox, when runnig project with such elements like NetSteam, Stratus.
When problem happen: Only when some streamed data is incoming, after random time. Time before crash can be 4 minutes, it also can be 2 minutes. Memory leaks or disk space usage didn't change and don't seem to be a reason. Problem happen when I was testing my voice chat together with few people. At one moment it crashed at few computers at the same time (which were using Firefox). Then we had luck with repeating this problem several times - simply by asking one of us to play any music into Microphone. Then Firefox Flash Player always crashing.
Here you can see repeating of problem: http://youtu.be/BdkoQxloyDA
It also show that it does not crashes if nobody is sending audio stream in created group, but it does when somebody is sending audio stream. In that video I'm repeating problem by myself, with help of one computer and 2 tabs of Flash Player. First is running in Chrome, second in Firefox. Player in Chrome is used to send system sound from speakers to peer group. Player in Firefox is listening and playing everything he hears (this is why I set it's volume to near 1).
Here is .swf :
http://www.plazmaburst2.com/vchat/vchat.swf?1375377116&l=ANY_LOGIN_NAME&g=b1a2e6f17f339b63 6382b2d6cccadb21
It's very simplified voice chat which only displays streams which are being heared. It's adding " is talking" when stream is sending data. "g" parameter is a group name, I think you can choose any, but tests were made with this one.
Hope it helps. If you will need .fla file - just tell me.Your issue is distinct from the original poster's issue about a crash on Mac. I've branched this out to a new thread so that we're not confusing everyone.
Firefox on Win8 isn't very stable. We're collaborating with Mozilla on improvements, and my test results with the daily development builds are really promising, but it will be a few more weeks before they actually make it to production releases.
In the meantime, you're way better off using IE or Chrome. -
Flash Player Crashes In All Web Browsers
Dear Adobe,
For months now when ever I visit a site that uses flash, wever it be in Google Chrome, Internet Explorer 9 or Mozilla Firefox. Within about 5 minutes the page I am on will crash and report to me that, the flash plugin / player has crashed. It does this without fail, every time I go online. I mostly play zynga games on facebook. I also use fullscreen whenever possible, and always using the latest version of flash thanks to the cool flash updater.
I have just today checked and updated to the latest nvidia graphics drivers with a clean installation.
I followed advice about disabling hardware acceleration and going through the steps for uninstalling Flash, and emptying the folders associated with it. Sadly though the problem still remains.
I would love for this long time problem to be resolved!
My system is Windows 7 64-Bit, with an Nvidia Geforce 7600gs.
Please find dxdiag results.
