N97 customers should get a discount on LUMIA

Hi All,
Wonder how many of us N97 users out there.
I personally think, because we were badly let down by NOKIA's N97 both in terms of software and after care we should get some sort of discount on new windows phone.
I pre-ordered my N97 a month before on a £45 contract for 18months .. now God knows how I have spent that time.
I swore that after the experience I will never buy a Nokia again and do everything in my power to dissuade others.
So, Nokia if you are reading and you care, please right what you have wronged. give us some sort of discount on windows phone or at least let us try it out for a month to change our opinion of you.

I too will never recommend a Nokia device after many years of using nothing but Nokia.
My N97 is going to be retired this weekend after way too many GPS problems, a badly scratched camera lens (even after getting their "factory fix" for this problem!), and now too many spontaneous reboots. The rebooting problem in the AT&T network is well-documented and is part of the reason why they are no longer carrying Nokia 3G phones. Something about the switching in the network causes Nokia 3G phones to reboot on-their-own frequently--interrupting calls and running down the battery.
Even looking at Nokia's new Lumia series--the VALUE that you get compared to other manufacturers is non-competitive. Nokia prices themselves out of the market at sometimes TWICE the cost of comparable handsets in the upper end.
What bothers me the most about the initial reviews of the Lumia is that the main selling point was the word "pretty". Nokia's own promotional video doesn't really show the phone in action--instead you see a big composite picture wall with moving shots--they MUST be trying to hide how disappointing the phone really is.
I just wished that I'd recognized the lack of real value in the N97 when most of the reviews focused on the "flip up revealing" keyboard and not on speed, features, reliability, etc.

Hi Vikas,
You can check in Promotion Criteria, if such provision exists,
But I suppose 2 option exists:
a. Promotional prices for a single PLU
b. Promotional prices for a group of PLUs
Defining of range also talks about defining a range (high-low ) within which the price of the items must fall to be eligible for the promotion
You can tweak on some other things, Pricing Method section,Pricing Target Type field or others to see this scenario of your's is possible or not in SAP POS.

Veterans are no longer getting a discount

I am very disappointed to find out that US Veterans are no longer getting a discount on our service plans. I can not believe that this is just another company who is no longer helping their veterans.

The point is BEYOND the "employee" part of the discount. The discount should be extended for years of loyalty. For telling friends and coworkers about Verizon and what a great company it is and give a wholehearted personal recommendation. Word of mouth recommendations are worth far more to me that a company ad on TV. I expect it's that way for most people. But that won't happen if the company ignores the loyalty of it's customers and treats them in such a shabby fashion.

You'll need to do an Assumption of Liability. The parent that is the account owner and your boyfriend will both have to be at the store to do this. Your line is actually your parents and it will be your fiancee's once the change is made. But you should be able to get your upgrade and you definitely get to keep your number. Also depending on your fiancee's credit history there may be a security deposit required.

1) All duties ( Basic customs + cess + CVD + SAD) should get loaded to Inventory at the time of Goods Receipt.
2) And also, Excise registers should get updated as all the materials are treated as excise materials!
3) If for any customer, we want to treat the sales as non-excise (considering the above 2) sales, then how.
Any thoughts how to achieve all the above 3 for one imported material. Note that its only trading goods.

In case of trading u will not be able to avail any credit, but you can pass on to customers.
Please follow below steps.
01. Create a pricing procedure in such a way that it should calculate all the duties as per your requirement, and complete schema determination
02.In Vendor master select a schema group that triggers this Pricing procedure
03.Create a Purchase Order , against the conditions of customs etc. enter the Vendor as " customs " ( customs office need to be created as vendor)
04.MIRO with planned delivery cost option for Paying the Customs
05.Goods receipts (MIGO) , the values of all your duties will hit material cost ( inventory) counter entry to the key attached in pricing procedure
06.J1IG - Create Depot entry , Use Material document as reference and select CVD indicator update the required fields and save this will create RG23D register entries, and Folio numbers
While invoicing the products to customers you can select the required invoice from the Depot, the duty amount will be passed to the customers.

Why do you need a expensive MacBook Pro?
Your attending high school and unless everyone else is rich also your likely going to be a target by the more poorer students for theft or damage to the machine.
You could keep it home, but if you need it for class then your exposed again.
Also at that age your not very careful yet, a MacBook Pro is a expensive and easily damaged machine.
Unless your made of money and so are others at your school, I would recommned a low profile, just does the job cheap Windows PC.
If it dies, gets lost, stolen or damaged because of your inexperince handling senstivie electronics then it's no big deal.
You can buy a Mac later on when your sure you have a need for it, currently there isn't much advantage of owning a Mac compared to a PC, they do just about the same things now, one just looks prettier than the other.
Since 95% of the world uses Windows PC's your going to have to install Windows on the Mac in order to keep your skills up there or be unemployed, so it's a extra headache and expense.

I want a macbook,i really do. But its getting closer and closer to the time that im planning on buying one, and im not sure if i should get one yet. Im a sophmore in highschool, and i need a computer for highschool. I know im going to end up getting some bias answers but--Should i get a macbook now, or should i get some other computer? The computer that im going to get is going to have to last from now till--hopefully--the end of collage. So is there another computer that i should get, and get a mac sometime in the future? maybe even before collage and just have some cheap thing for highschool. I used both Mac and PCs during college.
As a recent graduate, it was very important that I paid attention to my major and class requirements. Several classes I had required Internet Explorer, MS Project, and Visio.
At the time the best choice for me was a PC. However, as a owner of a MacBook, I now dual boot and have the best of both worlds. However, dual booting does require a Windows XP Pro "SP2" disc.
*Getting Windows XP*
Around college you should not have a problem getting this. A single XP license actually allows you to install the OS on (1) PC and (1) Notebook. Finding another copy shouldn't be that difficult. And if worse comes to worse, you just call Microsoft (some place in India) and activate the copy over the phone. Just tell them the copy is on one PC to make it a quick phone call, they can't understand much more let alone any explanation of the license and if it was uninstalled off another computer.
*Word Processor*
I use Word 2004 for Mac. It functions well, but I feel Word 2003 is still better.
*School Software*
I would also check with your school and see what software you get with your tuition. Some schools just give out AntiVirus crap, others provide entire Office Suites. So if you are going for broke, keeping software cost in your plan is a good idea.
*Final Opinion*
If it were me, I would go with the MacBook. Because I know how to hunt for software, I don't figure it paying for any. The MacBook is actually a very competitive price. Since Apple provides the option to run Windows, why not get a MacBook to take advantage of both OS X and Windows environments.

So first I'd say that it's not a good idea to start a new apple id if you have a large purchase history. You may not transfer purchases between apple IDs. You should consider some other options listed here http://support.apple.com/kb/HE37 Primarily the option where you or your children have seperate icloud accounts/email accounts that sync their contacts apart from yours. You may use your apple ID for purchases and use a different one for icloud/email/etc.

Can I get Education Discount On A Mac Mini?

I am going to uni soon, from which I want a mac for, but i am looking for a mac mini for the obvious lack of space, I have already looked at what discounts Apple offer on their over macs but i couldn't find any discounts for the Mac Mini, I was wondering if the Mac Mini is included in their Education Sceme?

Variable used in FOx formula should get value from user

Hi Gurus,
In my fox formula I want to multiply a keyfigure (say quantity) with a factor. For example if the factor is 10 then all records should get multiplied by 10.
But the requirement is user shpuld be able to give the factor that should be multiplied. That is the l_factor used in the fox function should be a variable which gets value from user. I know we can give variables in filter and planning functions in IP. But can we give values in Fox formula.
I would really appreciate the time and effort.

I think you have create a dummy character info-object(Z_Number) of same data type interget number.Create variable for Z_Number and restrict in filter(ZV_NUM).

Just received an email from the business dept. saying that I am no longer entitled to my employee discount because I have retired. I was told in one of the stores that retirees did still get the discount. I received an email asking me to update my employment status. Anyone out there that has receive this email also...BEWARE......... you too will be losing your discount soon. If you upgrade or extend your contract, you will also be screwed for two more years. My contract is up next July..... Time to check and see if Sprint still offers discount to retirees. Bigger discount anyway. Just one more example of a big company sucking every penny out of us they can. I am now on a smaller fixed income and my bill is going up 20% Thanks a lot.................

I called Apple technical support in Denmark, but with no positive reply.
She couldn't do anything, and said that They had sent a recall Email about the problem and with their offer to repair the Macbook Pro, but I'd never recieved an Email about the problem. She wasn't in power to make an exception. It can't be true that i paid a lot of money, for a product that can't barely stand on its own feets, Apple didn't tell me that the product I was about to buy, would restart every 5 minute. and now when they know the problem, they wont repair it? it just don't make sense for me. If a car seller discovers that all the brakes in a car he had sold, will crash after some years he will call all the cars back to repair no mater what. i just don't understand how Apple will make good service for their custumers, by extending the warranty from 2 to 3 years, but wont take the computers there is a little bit to old, 4 months will make the difference. i can't believe it.
What can i do now?
