N97 FM Radio Pause function

I thought about this a few months ago - why don't Nokia implement a way to pause the FM radio o the N97? There's plenty of storage space on drive E:
What reminded me of this was an e-mail from Apple about the new iPod Nano which does have this feature.
Just an idea but I think it'd be pretty cool.

Brilliant idea, but it comes with problems of it's own. Apparently there's a developers forum on this site. I'm sure if you mentioned this there it can probably be done. Unfortunately I don't know the link to that forum

After update to Firefox 8, the pause function on videos no longer works

I updated both my desktop and laptop to Firefox 8.
The laptop is a Toshiba and it's OS is Win 7 with Kapersky AV. The laptop has no problems.
When using Firefox on the desktop, which is a clone, with Win XP as the OS, and Norton AV, all up to date, the pause function on videos often does not work.
I have been able to play the same videos on this desktop computer using IE 8 and pause them with no problem.
I need to have the pause function work, because I am interrupted a lot, and it can take me 3 hrs. to watch a one hour video due to that.
Can anyone help? If not, I'll just have to use IE, though I much prefer Firefox. Thanks.

The Statusbar is gone and the "lock" with it, as of Firefox 4.0. Security information about a web page is shown by the Site Identity Button.<br />
The old padlock could give users a false sense that a site is secure by not supplying all of the information about a site and only showed that there is a secure connection that didn't guarantee that you are connected to the right server. Officejet Pro 8500 A909g (all in one) wireless radio not functioning

Ran network test report and received an Error message: Officejet Pro 8500 A909g (all in one) wireless radio not functioning.
the menu screen says its on and the blue light is on, but no connection.
Appears to be a hardware problem, any ideas.

I understand that your wireless radio is not working on your HP Officejet 8500. This could be a hardware issue if the wireless card has failed completely, but I would like you to try the HP Support document: Performing a Partial Reset of the All-in-One. If resetting the printer as the document gets you to do does not fix the issue, it would be recommended that you contacted HP technical support for repair options.

Where is the pause function in scout?

Where is the pause function in scout? I want to pause the monitor, then restart the same one. But it only gave me a new session.

There is no pause function at the moment. For most of the data settings (especially if you only use low overhead settings like basic telemetry and the ActionScript sampler), the amount of data is very low, so you can run Scout for a long time without running out of memory (I've run Scout profiling content continuously for more than a day, with it using only about a gigabyte of memory).
For the high overhead settings, memory is more of a problem. For Stage3D, you can start it in "delayed" mode (choose from the dropdown - "immediate" is the default). This still captures all the Stage3D commands, but doesn't load them into memory until you click "start recording" in the Stage3D Rendering panel. When it does, it constructs a condensed version of the earlier commands, so you can still replay subsequent frames (it has all your textures, etc), but without using as much memory. You can only do this once though - there's no way currently to start and stop Stage3D recording.

How to get a Pause and un-Pause function into my vi

2) Flow control
To pause:
Pressure to high
Pressure to low
Flow to high
Flow to low
When it is in pause:
-> the power should be cut of and the valve should be closed
and the remaing time should stay.
Un-pause:
Time start to run again, valve opens and the power on.

This is easily done with a state machine architecture. There is a simple example written in LabVIEW 5.0 that can be found here. The state machine is a very powerful way to write programs. There are numerous examples on NI Developer Zone and a couple examples that ship with LabVIEW. Do a search in either to find them.

I'd like to program a LOCAL ACCESS NUMBER, then insert a WAIT or a PAUSE function, followed by a constant string of numbers [international code, country code and the destination phone number]. Dialing the local, US access number is not an issue, but I can't find any info in the manual on how to insert a WAIT or PAUSE or how to insert the remaining string of international codes and destination phone number. Pause function works, but I loose soundTransform

I am stumped on pausing a sound and keeping the volume sound transform on play again. Pause works, but when I play again it plays correctly from pause position; however, the sound transform vol reverts to 1 (100%)

If you look in the Help you will see that each time you call play a new channel object is created and assigned the variable - so you lose the old transform. You just need to reassign it...
channel.soundTransform = sndVol;

I'm setting up HP office jet Pro 85000 A909n, wireless radio not functioning.

I/m using Window 7 and have printer connected to my desk top. Now I wish to print for my lap top to the printer and can not get the connection, when I run the test I get:
wireless on Pass
wireless working Fail
Messasge: the wireless radio is not functioning. contact HP support

The wireless radio is broken. Try restoring the network defaults and check.
If the wireless radio shows as failed then printer needs to be serviced

N97 FM Radio Application - Lost

I had to reinstall the firmware of my Nokia N97 and restore the factory settings of the phone. After reinstalling the firmware ( note this is not the newest firmware because it is not yet available in the Philippines ) and restoring the factory settings ( I can't remember which came first ) ... I lost some apps. One of the apps that I lost is the FM Radio App.
Question? How can I reinstall the FM Radio App? I searched the nokia site and didn't find one. They have the internet radio app - which I don't need. I also searvhed Ovi Store and didn't find one. I also searched for it in the internet and could not find one.
I am tempted to reinstall the firmware and to restore the factory settings ... but I'm afraid of what other supposedly - out of the box app that came with the phone will get lost. By the way --- I submitted this question to the support site and this is what I was told:
- I lost it because I restored the Factory settings. I was confused with this answer because I thought part of the features being marketed for N97 is it's capability to play FM radio. So if it's not part of the factory settings --- why market it?
- Nokia does not have a copy of the app - and I have to search the internet for a copy of the app. Again ... this is a confusing answer ... it came with the phone when I bought it ... so a copy of the app must be found somewhere. So why can't they post it in Ovi store? Or why can't they e-mail the app to me?
I hope an expert Nokia user out there can help me.

i was really upset why this phone does not have a radio.
i really needed it for special purposes.
now the only problem i have is my phone freezes alot (when there is an incoming call i cant answer it and the phone freezes untill the caller hangs up and it turns to a MISS CALL)
and its a bit low speed too.
other things are great. ilove it

I have now owned the nokia n97 for 2 months, in this time I have spent 1-2 hours per day trying to find a work around for internet radio so I can listen at work or in the car/ on foot.

during my intense googling and trial and errors using various links with various players I have only been able to make a small amount of progress, and the fact that I have bothered to write this is testament to my anger and building frustration at nokia and the so called flagship n97. it is especially painful when my previous phone the n95 did almost everything asked of the device, ok you get the point I am very very angry.

As an update to this post, I've just loaded a beta version of the Skyfire web browser (S60 v5 - http://www.skyfire.com/), which plays the video content on the BBC Sport internet pages & the Listen Live media player on the Talksport.net website. Definitely worth a go!

Sleep or pause function

I am just starting out learning how to program applets so I am not familiar with this. I am creating a maze program which can be found here:

My problem is that I want to the show step by step how the maze is traversed. I am trying to slow the process down using the foloowing function in between steps through the maze:

    }But when I use this, the applet locks up. It never comes back to life. Is there a way top pause the applet for some amount of time WITHOUT using threads? I don't want to use threads because I don't completely understand the way they work and I am under a dealine to get this completed. Any help would be appreciated.

Threads are the way to go. You create one and have it sleep for a number of milliseconds. The other way is the time honored but poor practice if creating a huge for loop that chews up CPU time. for ( int i=0; i < 1000000;i++) {do something} but you'll never know how long it take on a client machine.

Pause function when dialling via 3rd party

I use Planet Talk, a cheap rate international calling service, to dial international numbers from my Nokia N80. It's a bit of a hassle, because I have to first scribble down the number I'm going to call, then go through the PT number, and then manually type out the friend's number. My old Windows Not-so-smartphone did have one great feature, which was being able to insert a pause into an extended string of numbers. So I could amend my overseas friends' numbers as the PT number, "p", and then their number. When dialling them it would go to PT, pause for 3 seconds - which was enough time for the rerouting to kick in - and then dial the contact's number automatically. Does anyone know of functionality like this in Nokia phones?

HP Photosmart 309a - the fix for not printing black, resulted in wireless radio not functioning.

My HP Photosmart 309a printer was not printing black, trying various ideas from this forum, I used the #6 reset (after replacing cartridges etc etc). This was successful and the black printed out on a test page, but then I couldn't reconnect wirelessly to the PC.
The Wireless Network Test Report says the Wireless is on, but that the Wireless radio is not functioning. (It seems that the #6 did something to the Wireless on the printer.)
The #6 reset turned the wireless radio off. After I turned it on again its search still did not find any wireless routers.
I have tried various printer resets, #3, #6 to no avail. Would appreciate any further ideas.
This is my second HP printer. I got rid of my last one recently, when I couldn't get it to print black, even though it was stilll quite new. This one is certainly not a year old, but because we are selling our house and have put almost everything in storage I don't have access to the receipts, so cannot get the printer replaced.
