N97: making voip calls via the GSM mobile

Hi All;
I am facing a problem that my Nokia N97 that is working with VoIP (via the SIP), is only working if I am using my wireless internet in the home (via the access point), but when I try to do the call using my GSM internet service provider (we call it EGO and in some countries it is GPRS).
Some other mobile, they support VoIP using the wireless access point or the internet via the GSM (mobile) service provider ...
So how can I fix this issue on my N97?
Regards
Bilal

I have the same problem: I can make and receive calls using my router but not through GPRS allthough i did set AWCDMA' and 'UAWMAC' to ON

  • Making a call via iPhone to mobiles and landlines ...

Hi I'll be traveling overseas this year and I would like to stay in touch back home here in the U.S.A. I have skype credit and I would be using the keypad on the app to call landlines and mobiles in the U.S.A while either on wifi or mifi, would this also include a charge from my carrier AT&T? Also what about calling other countries the same way?

    Hi,
U need to have the BDI config in the jabber-config.xml file you upload to call manager number 1 and number 2 you also need a TCT device configured on the CUCM and assigned to that end user and have the end user associated with the TCT and CSF devices for device controll.
You also need to create UC Services and have a UC Service Profile assigend to the end user to allow directory look up.
Please see my jabber-config.xml template attached.

  • Making a VoIP call with the Cisco 837 ADSL router

I would greatly appreciate if could please provide some technical assistance to my questions below:
Is it possible to make a VoIP call between two 837 ADSL Cisco routers over a 1Mbps ADSL broadband connection?
If so, can I configure this VoIP connection using either a PPPoE or ATM WAN link?
Is it possible to make a VoIP call using a Cisco 837 Router while simultaneously surfing the Internet? In other words do I need two public IP addresses i.e. one for accessing the internet and one for making the VoIP call or is one static IP address obtained from my ISP sufficent.
It is possible to configure QoS parameters (e.g. RSVP, Voice precedence, Voice codec selection) on this 837 router using PPoE or can it only be done using an ATM WAN interface?
Does the Cisco 837 router support both the H.323 and SIP communication protocols? Do I need to purchase a certain IOS operating system version for VoIP calling?
Does the VoIP dial peers need to be configured with both a POTS and VoIP phone numbers or is only one number required?
Do I need to obtain a special VoIP number from my VoIP service provider? or can I use existing POTS numbers or made up numbers within the dial peers as this situation involves making a private VoIP call between two branch offices using 837 ADSL routers and not via a VoIP service provider.
Finally, can I use POTS ordinary telephones with the Cisco 837 for making VoIP calls or do I strictly need to purchase VoIP phones?
My apologies for the number of questions asked here but I currently need to know the technical ability of the Cisco ADSL 837 as I am thinking of employing these routers in my company organisation.
I await your feedback in due course.
    Thanks,

  • HT4528 how do i stop my iphone 4 from doing random commands while talking on calls via the touch screen? Can i lock the screen while talking?

how do i stop my iphone 4 from doing random commands while talking on calls via the touch screen? Can i lock the screen while talking?

The iPhone has a proximity sensor located on the top of the phone near the earphone speaker that is supposed to automatically turn off the screen when it is close to your face while on a call, to prevent that very thing from happening.  If your phone isn't doing that, try cleaning your screen.  Also, if you put a screen protector on your phone made for a different model it may lack the cut-out that is supposed to keep it from blocking the sensor.  Try removing your screen protector to see if that helps.  If it does, get another screen protector.

  • VoIP calling on the N82?

I had a few questions about the internet calling on the N82
    1. How does this work? How do you set it up?
    2. Is it free? Do you actually get to call long distance, to Europe, China, etc. areas for free?
    3. Is there a catch to it?
    4. Can I set up another program, like VoIP Stunt to go with my phone?
    Thanks

    Hi again,
They are the same but different. Fring will allow you to make Fring to Fring calls or mobile phone to mobile phone calls via VoIP. If you already have a Skype account, Fring will allow you to access Skype while on your mobile and use VoIP to make calls. With Skype you can purchase minutes to make what they call: Skype Out calls. This is basically a call to a telephone number be it landline or mobile. Gizmo5 is virtually the same but that they use an open standard while Skype's is proprietary. Basically they are the same and do the same. I use them both as back up. Most times they work but there are times when like with anything else they have problems. So when one fails the other works and I can continue to talk.
    Summary:
    1. Fring -------> Skype = VoIP (Free and paid options)
    2. Gizmo5 ---> (Free and paid option)
Go to the sites I gave you and have a look. There you will find more info.

    Hi all,
Can some one tell me about the protocol used to communicate from a PDA or lap top to an http server throug a Gsm mobile phone as the modem ( The mobile and the PDA are connected via bluetooth ) .
actually i want to have an http connection from the PDA using Java .The PDA does not have an access to the internet. It is connected to a Mobile Phone via bluetooth for the internet acess . My question is how i should send the data from my PDA client to the server as it is to deal with http protocol and bluetooth protocol ?

  • IPhone 6 Plus 64GB (iOS 8.1 or 8.1.1) springboard crashes repeatedly when making phone calls via Continuity on Macbook Pro Retina Mid 2014 using Yosemite 10.10.1

I USED TO be able to make phone calls using continuity on my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) with Yosemite (10.10) via my iPhone 6 Plus on iOS 8.1 without any problems.  Once I updated Yosemite to 10.10.1, my iPhone's springboard would continually crash where it brings up the Apple logo and quickly restarts repeatedly until I end the call.  Just so that you know, I am able to stay on the call while this is occurring the whole time.
I need to reiterate, this all started happening as soon as I updated Yosemite to 10.10.1 while still on iOS 8.1.  I know this because I made a few phone calls (loving the feature), updated Yosemite to 10.10.1, then made a few phone calls afterwards, and this started happening.
When iOS 8.1.1 came out, I eagerly updated hoping this issue would go away, and it did not.  I'm hoping Apple notices this post.  If anyone else has this problem, please contact Apple and chime in this post as well.  Thank you Apple for incorporating continuity calling. I love this feature, but need to use it without my phone's springboard constantly crashing.

I have this issue as well. I am using an iPhone 6 plus, iPad Air 2, 5K iMac, and MacBook Pro. When I make a continuity calls from any device, the springboard crashes. This only happens with outgoing calls, incoming calls are functioning normal. I am currently working with multiple Apple Senior Advisors, and they are working directly with iOS a engineers. I have an active open case and will update this thread when a resolution is found.
Just a tip for everyone with this issue, restoring your devices and setting them up as new WILL NOT correct this issue. Save yourself the hassle. I did this with my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook and the issue still persists.

  • Ability to Conduct Calls Via the FM Transmitter

I don't know if I am missing something but when listening to music through the radio via the FM Transmitter and a call comes in (or indeed if I want to make a call) I find that the transmission through the radio stops meaning that you have to pick up the phone to hear the caller.
Why are we not able to continue the phone/radio FM link so that the caller can be heard through the radio?
Third party equipment that links to a telephone via Bluetooth and transmits through an FM Transmitter already has the ability to do this, so why is it not possible to have the facility within the actual unit?
I look forward to hearing your comments.
    Regards,
    bwadders

In your first post you asked to continue to hear the caller via FM. This would be stupid (public).
With the Motorola Bluetooth kit you have another issue, which is known even with other BT kits. If you use FM sender and at the same time a BT kit, it wil not work if you accept a call.In this case, the caller is routed via FM and not BT, this is a Bug known by Nokia and hopefully resolved soon.

    Hello everybody
I have skype premium for a month offered by Skype, and I'm wondering why am I being able to call to USA's mobiles for free. Does skype premium have that thing that I can call for free to a country I choose?? I may have chosen USA and I don't remember maybe??
I keep looking on my Account witch country I've chosen for free calls, but I can't find it..
    Thank you all

  • Making a call from the contacts

MMy 4s is ******* me off. I punch the little telephone icon, thinking I'm telling the phone I want to make a call, then hit the little contacts icon at the bottom of the search page. I click on the person I want to call, but instead of calling the person I obviously want to call the **** thing kicks me into the messaging function. I officially hate it.

You can make calls from the phone icon, as well. Just click on the phone icon then the contacts, then try from there! -Darby

  • Making a call with the iphone headphones

I know that you can answer calls through your headphones that came with the iphone but is it possible to make a call through it using the microphone and saying a command to call someone?

What I meant was while Im listening to my ipod on my iphone, is it possible to use the button on the headset and make a voice call from my headphones? I know I can do voice calling from the phone itself but I was wondering if you could do it through your headphones like push the button and say call whoever in the microphone and it would do it.

  • Removing a linked Activity from a Service Call via the DI Server

Has anyone done this or something similar? Below is the XML sent and received while trying to remove the last linked activity. I get a successful response but the Service Call isn't updated. If I try and remove an activity that isn't the very last I get an error. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

  • Calls to invalid extension over an ICT reroute via the backup pstn.

    Hello
we have several CUCM clusters all linked via ICT's and all bar 1 will return a call cannot be completed as dialled if a user dials the correct site id (XXX) but an invalid or unused 4 digital extension number.
the 1 that does not work will re route the call via the backup pstn route list. of cause the call just rings but why is it doing this? any ideas. i have tried a few google searches but cannot identify the cause of the problem
    CUCM v 9.1.2 > ICT > CUCM 7.1.2
    Thank you
    c.

    hello
all my route patterns over ict's have a backup route to prefix the national/int dial code and to route out of the pstn in case of a wan outage.
the promblem im have on just this one link is that if i dial a valid dn the call goes over the ict and it connects. however if i dial an unused dn the call goes over the ict but instead of getting a call cannot be completed as dialled, the call just re-routes via the pstn and just rings.
any ideas why this would happen?
    thanks
