  • Comes With Music Pin Code

How do I retrieve my comes with music pin code if I have lost it?

What is the circumstance of the error? Have you changed something related in the PC or perhaps done a system restore to a previous date? Has anything happened to the phone like a software update?
It appears for whatever reason that your PC and/or phone is not being recognised as a CWM device. If the phone is at fault, formatting the memory card usually helps. I'm not sure what could be causing the issue if it is PC-related, but perhaps try this (it is actually the solution for a different issue, but it might work):
If you are using Windows XP 32/64:
Uninstall the Nokia Music application. Once removed from the PC, delete or rename the MDataStore.db3 file in C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Nokia\Nokia Data Store\DataBase. Then reinstall the Nokia Music client again and attempt to download the music content.
If your are using Windows Vista 32/64:
Uninstall the Nokia Music application. Once removed from the PC, delete or rename the MDataStore.db3 file in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Nokia\Nokia Data Store\DataBase.  Then reinstall the Nokia Music client again and attempt to download the music content.

  • Comes With Music and (Finnish) Music Store

I have a Nokia N97 mini Comes With Music. There was an upgrade in Finnish Music Store in yesterday (09.09.2010). After that, I can not choose free downloads anymore. Somehow the "Comes With Music" button has disappeared, and every mp3 has a price. I tried to re-join to Ovi Music Unlimited but the client replies that I already have the Comes With Music rights. Any suggestions?

I have had this exact same problem since mid-August some time. Been in contact with the Swedish Nokia Care people and they basically escalated it to some technicians in India. Still waiting for some form of response from them.
Also, can you transfer songs from OVI Music (the software I mean) to your phone? Because I can't do that either (I'm guessing because it requires that I access my account and get the DRM license - but like you pointed out, every mp3 has a price and there are no re-downloads available in my account anymore).
This is extremely frustrating. Sometime in June or July was the last time I could transfer songs from my computer to the phone (well, stuff I've ripped from my own CDs work fine of course, as well as songs that I've had on my phone prior to the CMW-MU switch).

The link below shows all Comes With Music compatible phones. This does not mean that the phones automatically include a Comes With Music subscription. You have to check the box if there is a sticker that indicates the phone contains the subscription.

  • Downloading whole album in Comes With Music (N97 M...

How can I download the whole album and it's tracks in Comes With Music (by using the phone, not PC)? There is a Download icon (that arrow down-icon) next to the album, but when I press that, it opens another view where all the tracks of that album are listed, with separate download icons next to each track. Am I really supposed to start downloading every track separately, by clicking every single download icon (more than 10 per album)?
Surely there must be a way to download the whole album with one click? Otherwise this really brings down the usability of Comes With Music.
I am using N97 Mini, and using Comes With Music service directly from the phone.

I've been having the same problems too. Was browsing ard looking for solutions but I just got mine to work a moment ago by playing around with it. Here's what I did.
    1) First, I tried to download a new song. I once again got no response or any prompt. As has been happening since this problem started, there was no download progress pop-up window, and no indication that any download has been completed or song added to the music player.
    2) I hit the download list button. Here I can see the song that I was trying to download. It's shown at 0% and only few KBs downloaded. I can also see some of the other songs that had tried to download previously but it did not appear in the music player. Those songs are shown as 100% complete.
    3) Next, I selected the song that I was trying to download, hit the 'options' button and select 'resume download'. (the other option is 'cancel download'). Now it's downloading as usual.
    4) Then I selected each of the 100% downloaded songs in the list, and deleted them one by one. Note that the error message 'file not found' still comes up, but just ignore it. Cos it actually did delete the files. (Sometimes you gotta delete it twice. I had one song which after deleting it, it was still there and I had to delete it the second time before it disappeared from the list)
    5) Before I know it, the song that I was downloading is already to the music player list (though there was no message prompt to inform that it has been added).
Now all my subsequent downloads are all like normal before the problem.
I dunno why but somehow doing that works for my device. Hope it works for yours too.

  • N97 COME WITH MUSIC HELP !!!

dear friends,i've bought my N97 that doesn't include CWM.
the reason is becuz i've my old phone Nokia 5800 CWM Activation PIN which i haven't activated it.
i thought i could've use my old Nokia 5800 CWM pin for my new N97.
    sumhow i couldn't activated it,using 5800 unused pin for my N97. .
    any help?
    regards~

i think that each device that 'comes with music' gets thier unique code or id, so if your n97 'came with music' then you should have gotten a pin or id for that particular phone. if you have not then contact customer support. now 'comes with music' i didn't even know that n97 comes with this service already and it is limited to a few countries that actually promote this service. it is not something that is avaliable worldwide. best to contact your nokia care line or nokia care piont and have a talk with them

  • 5800 Comes with Music [PIN/Activation code] is the...

OK - bit of background first
Some months back I brought a 5800 that did not 'COME WITH MUSIC' - I've got it all set up nicely, got all the apps I wanted installed, email settings correct, games etc etc
Recently - just for fun - I entered a couple of codes on the Pepsi ringpull promotion to win a 5800 'Comes with Music' - & guess what, got an email saying I've actually won !!! (haven't got it yet though)
Now I know I can't use the PIN/Activation code from the 5800 'comes with music' phone with my 'older' 5800 (I believe the code is 'locked' to the IMEA of the phone or something like that - can any1 confirm this ??) - but what I'd like to know is how long have I got before the activation code is 'invalid'.
What I mean is that IF I don't use it then my 12months 'free download' subscription will not start - but if I leave it for - say a year - will the code become invalid & I lose out on all those lovely free downloads ??
The way I'm thinking is that I could keep the new one locked away & if/when my present phone gets too badly damaged, or the screen get's scratched, then I can 'backup everything to PC' (Nokia Suite) & reload it into the new one THEN use the activation code & get a years free download
Or would it be better to transfer from the old phone to the new phone now - use that with my free downloads & 'factory reset' my old phone & sell it on/recycle it ??

  • Does n97 come with music?

    Hi all
I hear the phone should come with the comes with music feature? Is this true? How do I go about accessing this?
    Cheers

    Your heard wrong.
The N97 is not currently part of nokia's comes with music (CWM) service.  It's also not currently possible to enable CWM on existing phones.
To get CWM you have to buy the CWM version of a phone which is more expensive and in a CWM branded box.
Obviously you can use music purchased from many other stores and home ripped music with your N97.

  • Nokia 5530 comes with music? were is this pin code...

Got it for xmas and it says COMES WITH MUSIC i only got the warranty info instruction manual ovi disk and vodafone`s sim package no scratchcard or anythhing?!

    Just sent this.
I purchased a Nokia 5530 from yourselves on the back of Nokia's Comes With Music promotion. On their website, they state in multiple places that this phone is part of that promotion. They even explicitly state that phones that are compatible with the service and are bought from Carphone Warehouse (http://www.nokiamusic.co.uk/#/faq/) are part if the CWM service. Yet, there was no CWM literature in the phone's box nor was their the PIN number necessary for the service. I contacted the local store and was told, categorically, that Nokia's information was incorrect and that the CWM service is exclusive to Phones4U. This is in direct contravention of the Nokia's own information, the people running the service.
I am not the only one to have this problem. Many dissastisified customers have posted to the Nokia's support forums about this. Some bought phones from you, actually recieved the PIN number that they were promised only to have it rejected by Nokia's Music Store.
What is going on, what is the deal here. Are you operating a regional thing, customers in some areas get the service, other's don't. If you buy from a shop you get an invalid pin, if you buy through the website you get no pin at all?
    Let's see how they respond.

  • Comes With Music membership extension

I have been a satisfied (most of the time) subscriber to Comes With Music membership (UK) since 26 Ocbober 1969. On 26 September 2010 I got an e-mail from "The Comes With Music team" ([email protected]) which I have pasted below.
    -------------quote
    Hi tonyarro,
Your Comes With Music membership is about to end on 26/10/2010. To continue getting millions of free tracks from Nokia Music Store, you just need to renew your membership by buying a new Comes With Music edition mobile. There's no need to wait - when you renew, your new membership period is added onto the time you've got left on your current membership. Click here to renew now.
What's more, there are exclusive offers on new Comes With Music edition mobiles, just for members. Take a look at all the latest deals here.
Remember, even if you don't renew, you keep all the music you've downloaded so far and can continue playing it on your registered Comes With Music mobile and PC. But after 26/10/2010 you'll have to pay for any new music you download. So don't miss out on all the new releases or classics from the massive Nokia Music Store catalogue - renew today!
    All the best,
    The Comes With Music team
    -------------unquote
So I "needed" to buy a new mobile. The "exclusive offers" were two choices, a 5800 at UK Pounds 249 or a N97 mini at UK Pounds 409. I already use a 5800 and the N97 costs more than I care to pay for a 'phone.
By accident, I discovered that T-mobile UK are currently selling a PAYG 5230 Navi CWM at UK Pounds 99.99. Quite a bargain, so I bought one.
Now I am going round in circles on the Nokia/Ovi websites and in Nokia Ovi Player on my PC trying to enter the activation pin. All the instructions no longer work with the current Player. The only working option is to create a new account and allow my present account to expire. I am reluctant to do this because it seems likely that I will also have to buy a new PC if I want to keep and play the music files that I have already downloaded (only 61.2GB).
In the process of going round in circles I discovered a hidden option in the Nokia Ovi Player menu - Account/Music Account/Extend. I could have bought a 12 month extension to my existing membership for only £34.99! I didn't "need" to buy a new mobile at all! No wonder the "Comes with Music team" don't have a return e-mail address if they just exist to drive sales by telling lies!
Anyway, I already have the new mobile and the CWM activation PIN. I realise that many forum members have more desparate problems than mine, but can someone on the staff please advise me how to extend my existing membership account using the PIN and new 'phone that I have already paid for?
    Tony.

Sorry, I got it slightly wrong, it's £33.99, not £34.99. The whereabouts are in my previous posting. To repeat, within Nokia Ovi Player, on the top line click on account, then music account, then on the Extend green button and the message below appears. This might only appear when your subscription is due to expire within one month or has expired less than one month ago. This is obviously from the UK music store, (GB pounds) I don't know whether it is available in other Nokia territories. I haven't tried it - I found it too late. I now have a 'phone that I didn't really want and no access to transfer my existing music collection back and forward to my old 'phone or my new 'phone. This is by following the advice of the 'Nokia music team'. New 'phone = new account = new computer.
    Extend your subscription
You can buy an extension here
    £3.50 1 months for £3.50
    £9.99 3 months for £9.99
    £17.99 6 months for £17.99
    £33.99 12 months for £33.99

  • Comes With Music - "Unable to acquire license" err...

I have a N97 with Comes With Music. Since the past week, I have been unable to download tracks from the Music Store. I log in to my CWM account as usual, but everytime i click on the download button after selecting a track, it just gives me the error message "Unable to acquire license".
Anyone else experience this problem? How do I fix this?

Can anyone help please.  I have a new nokia 5310 CWM but I can't xfer my music off my laptop onto it.  I lost all my original downloads cos my original CWM phone broke.  My subscription has expired but I am still entitled to the tracks on my laptop, plus I pay insurance on my phone, which surely means I should be able to have my old music on my new phone, at the moment I'm worse off
Provided that your new device is a Comes With Music-compatible device, you can have your account transferred to the new device, you need to contact your local Nokia Care helpline and ask for the registered device to be changed. You will need to provide your music store username, the old IMEI number and the new IMEI number.

  • Question about Comes With Music in the UK

Ever since I heard about the service, I was quite interested in getting a Comes With Music device on contract, but looking for one is like finding a needle in a haystack.
Ideally, I would like to stay with O2, but they don't seem to offer contracts with Comes With Music, from what I can tell. I called their sales team four times to try and find out and pretty much got a different answer every time, although the one person who did seem to know what he was talking about gave a definitive "no".
Other than that, I'm finding it impossible to find deals. I know Orange do the 32GB X6, because a friend of mine has this contract (not that I've found anything about it online), and the Nokia site itself offers the 5800 CWM with T-Mobile. Like I said though, I'd rather stick with O2 if possible, because I've always had excellent signal from them.
So basically, does anyone have any information that may help me? I'm starting to think the reason CWM isn't doing well over here is because nobody really knows about it and because if you do find out about it, it's virtually impossible to find a contract.

Your only option for getting a CwM phone on O2 is to see what places like carphone warehouse and phones 4u have to offer.
O2 have refused to sell CwM phones directly in the past.
Instead of paying more for a CwM phone you may want to consider spotify premium instead. It's £10 per month and it allows you to either stream music or download for use on the phone.
The X6 32gb CwM has become quite hard to find since the cheaper 16gb model (without CwM) appeared. Originally it was exclusive to phones 4u but didn't sell well due to it's overly high price.

  • Nokia N95 'comes with music'

    Hi
I've recently bought an 8gb N95 on a contract with Orange, from phones 4 u.
I downloaded the Nokia comes with music application on my PC, and attempted to register my mobile.
It asked me to enter the pin number that came with my phone, in the 'comes with music leaflet'.
I do not have a 'comes with music' leaflet.
Does this mean I cannot get access to free songs?
It was the main reason I bought the phone!
    Thanks a lot

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You presumed wrong. If you wanted the "comes with music" version you needed to ask for it as not all retailers sell it.  The nokia website shows both versions of the N95 8GB.
The N95 8GB has been available for over a year now but the "comes with music" package has only been available for a month or two.  Most retailers don't sell the "comes with music" version due to it being an older model and more expensive than the standard version.
They won't be able to give you the pass code as the "comes with music" version is more expensive (approx £50) to cover the music licenses.
I believe the only network that is doing the "come with music" version on contract is 3.
