N97 Mini Contacts Creating New Unnamed Entries on ...

I am getting very annoyed at having to restore the contacts on my N97 back to how they should be. My phone syncs with Ovi (latest version) and Outlook 2007. It does this fine but when I restart my phone, it creates a load of new enties called unnamed and duplicates some others but these have no contact details in them so are effectively blank.
So my issue is not with Ovi and synchronisation - well I do not think so. I can sync over and over again, changing contacts in Outlook or on the phone and both locations update as they should.
The issue is then when I reboot the phone, these duff entries are added to the address book. Only solution I have found so far is to connect to Ovi, select the phone before a sync happens, delete all contacts and then copy the Ovi version of the contacts back to the phone again. This is a rubbish work-around.

Here is another question then as this is still not resolved. Can alnyone tell me where the contacts are physically stored on the N97 mini? I have y-Browser and my theory is that the file (if there is one) must be corrupt in some sort of way so that every time the phone restarts, these blank contacts are created. If I can physically remove all the contacts and then recerate them via Ovi Suite, this might cure the issue.

Hello,
I would like to make pre-configured connection settings available to users in my company. When the New button is clicked in SAP Logon the first screen that comes up is "Create New System Entry" with a text of:
"Select one of the available systems from the list below. If you choose the first entry, you can specify the system parameters yourself."
However the only entry in the list is "User Specified System"
How can I populate that list with pre-configured settings for users to choose?

Yes the integration between Active Directory and SAP systems management exists. However, the automatic registration of systems in the active directory could have been done during the installation of SAP system itself.

N97 mini - Contact Sort Company, Name

Hello
my N97 mini is for Business use and I am using Mail for Exchange. Everything works perfect.
I synchronize Mails, Contacts, dates and tasks with Exchange.
In Exchange-Contacts are, along with other contact details, for me the important fields Name and Company.
When I synchronize, these fields are copied correct to the N97 mini .
In N97 mini i want to display Contacts in alphabetic order, using the fields Company, Name
I cant find settings to realize this
Can anybody help ?

I find this part of my iPhone completely weird.
With my Treo running Agendus I could see all my Contacts by their company name and the contacts name alongside. If I did a search by name or company got a result.
However with 4000 contacts in my AB/iPhone searching for people by their names is difficult. For instance, living in Wales, where Jones, Jenkins, Evans, Davies etc are very common names I could have 20 people called David Jones but only 1 that works for ACME plumbing.
Also I may want to speak to three people from Acme Plumbing, but I can't remember their surname.
At the moment my solution to this is to create Groups in AB and split my contacts amongst these i.e zip codes, company sector etc. Also I use the App ABContacts which allows you to see the Contact Name under the Company name or vice versa.
This is the one area where I really do miss my Palm Treo/Agendus

ISE 1.1.3 - Notification when ISE creates New Endpoint Entries

Good Morning,
I am interested in learning how to have notifications sent out to a preset list of recipients when ISE 1.1.3 creates a new endpoint entry. The ability to know when a foreign device has been connected is imperative for our mission.
I have looked throughout the entirety of the ISE Settings, but I have yet to find where to enable the functionality to allow for this.
Can someone please point me to the correct menu/setting for this?

I read through the documentation that you linked me to, and it appears that i *should* be able to create the rules I require. I have tried many different sets of criteria, and I always receive the same Error Message:
type Status report
message Request not processed - Possible XSS input
description The request sent by the client was syntactically incorrect (Request not processed - Possible XSS input).
From the error, it looks like my criteria set is incorrect, but I have tried numerous different sets, all receive the same error. According to the "Rules" section, under "Unknown NAD" the only Required Fields are "Category" and "Nad Count". I have satisfied both of these fields numerous ways, all with the same output of the above error message.
Any Idea what could be causing this?

Creating New System Entry in SAPGUI 7.10

Brief Description of the problem:
I am unable to create a new system entry in SAPGUI 7.10 Logon Pad. It works fine if you choose "Custom Application Server" as Connection Type but when you choose "Group/Server Selection" instead the Next Button is still grayed out and hence unable to create a system.
Earlier even the Group/Server box never used to get populated but after creating sapmsg.ini, i could go one step further and now I think it looks for some value in Saprouter field in order for the Next button to get activated.

Can anyone tell me how could I incorporate a saproute.ini, as I not clear on the syntax and I never have to use the sapmsg.ini and saproute.ini in SAPGUI 6.40 for users who are connected to Internal network. so this is something new in SAPGUI 7.10 and I am still clueless on why Internal users have to use saproute.ini.

It will work if you add "sapmsSID 3600/tcp" to the etc\*Services* file.
In SAPGui 6.40, i used to just have sapms00 3600/tcp and it works.
so in SAPGUI 7.10 looks there is a slight change and need to suffix the SID details also. I still don't find any SAPGui 7.10 documentation regarding the change I did in services file.
Surprisingly SAP support was recomending to add router entry inorder to make it work inspite teling them we don't need to access SAP systems through router since we access them internally. No good support from them and they just jump to conclusions and they keep repeating the same thing over and over again even if you try to make them understand that it's not what you need.

I see that the X6 contacts bar has a "web feed" option. I read somewhere that the N97 had one too (too bad mine fried). Is there one for the N97 Mini? Can't seem to find this.

I beleive you are using MS Outlook.
Try the following workaround.
Manual sync
Open Nokia Ovi Suite--> Sync--> Sync option--> Uncheck the sync automatically everytime you connect the device.
Then Sync--> Sync now--> Contact,
Repair the "pst" and the "ost" Outlook files as in the following location.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\SCANPST.EXE
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\SCANOST.EXE
Right click the above mentioned exe file and 'Run' it.
NOTE
It's adviced to take a back- up of the user's Outlook folders to avoid any loss of information.
Check with Microsoft support pages for more information.

How do i copy my contacts from my sim card to my phone? or how do i look at my contacts from sim card so i can dial to them?

Your settings are correct, but the only thing that causes this problem, and there are hundreds of posts on it are multiple entries . The fact you've entered another phone contact that works proves the point, your phone doesn't know the new entry, it's simply another number with data attached in the Name field. May be worth , as I suggested , checking your contacts with Ovi Suite, and check they are all entered correctly, ie First name and second name are in the correct fields and if a contact has a few numbers, that the one you use most often is set as default etc. It WILL be multiple entries, you just need to find it !

I'll try to answer with wide brush stroke notes. The details will depend on your need where you will need to dive deeper into the IMG.
(1) In the IMG, go to Time Mgmt > Time Data Recording and Administration > Absences > Absence Catalog > Group Personnel Subareas for Attendances and Absences. Make sure all of your Personnel Subarea Groupings (PSG) are setup.
(2) In the IMG, go to Time Mgmt > Time Data Recording and Administration > Absences > Absence Catalog > Absence Types. Under each appropriate PSG setup your Absence/Attendance Type (A/A Type).
(3) In the IMG, go to Time Mgmt > Time Data Recording and Administration > Absences > Absence Catalog > Determine Entry Screens and Time Contstraint Classes. This may have been setup for you in (2) above.
(4) In the IMG, go to Time Mgmt > Time Data Recording and Administration > Absences > Absence Counting > Assign Counting Rules to Absence Types. This may have been setup for you in (2) above.
(5) In the IMG, go to Time Mgmt > Time Data Recording and Administration > Absences > Absence Counting > Determine Daily Work Schedule Variants for Absence. This may have been setup for you in (2) above.
(6) In the IMG, go to Time Mgmt > Time Data Recording and Administration > Absences > Absence Counting > Define Indicators for the Personal Calendar. This may have been setup for you in (2) above.
(7) Like Absences, do the same for Attendances.
(8) For Quotas (like vacation/paid tiome off), in the IMG, go to Time Mgmt > Time Data Recording and Administration > Managing Time Accounts Using Attendance/Absence Quotas > Calculating Absence Entitlements > Rules for Generating Absence Quotas. Review all of your settings.
(9) In the IMG, go to Time Management > Time Evaluation. Here, you may need to adjust your schema, rules and other config. We use a custome schema "ZM04" modeled after "TM04". I had some changes to a custom rule "ZP20" (modeled after TP20). You may have other changes.

i want to add the partener code but when i insert it i get the chosse from list of G/L acount opened.
Is there somthing special to do to insert the BP Code ?

should set the shortname to the businesspartner cardcode:

Service Entry - Final Entry set but still can create new entry sheet

First check deletion flag is active in service entry sheet.
If no then first set deletion flag to service entry sheet.
Also check Material document is updated with movement type 102 in purchase order history.
If yes then no problem is exists.
For your verification please create new service entry sheet for same line item. If system give not any error so no any problem.

Can v have new update of N97 mini after v12

is there any possiblity of releasing some performence improvement in N97 mini through some new updates?

There are software updates after v12, and the last of them did solve a lot of the N97 issues according to what Nokia claimed. Did you get your N97 from your network operator? Often they have there own customised versions of the phone software, and if that is the case then Nokia has to wait for the network to approve updates before it can release them.

N97 Mini: Compatibility issues with Original N97 W...

As of late, I've been trying to load up my N97 Mini with some new widgets. To my dismay, many of the apps I have found in Ovi will NOT work with the N97 Mini: 90% of the widgets won't be available when I search through the phone's client or through Ovi's online portion. I even tried to change my mobile device to an original N97 in my account settings (of course, scores more widgets show up in searches) and send them to the phone via SMS, but it still shows the message that my device is not compatible.
What gives? The phones are almost exactly the same! Why can I not see/download the same app and widgets?

Oh, I'm well aware Ovi isn't the only place, but it's annoying to read about a specific widget only to find it won't work with my device. I have stuff from all over the place, but I wouldn't mind a download from Ovi every once and a while
Edit: To explicate my point, I simply don't have the options that the N97 does in terms of widgets. It's rather annoying, especially considering the similar nature of the Mini and the N97.
