N97 Mini: How do I kill the annoying startup melod...

Like the title says: How do I kill the annoying startup melody?
Since this is my work phone, I might need to turn it off at meetings, but often turn it on during these to find a contact. And to have the blasted device draw unwanted attention with the annoying startup melody is not my idea of professionalism.
Anyone know how to kill that melody? I can't seem to find any settings to turn it off, not does it look like any customization of the themes can affect this.

Instead of turning it off for a meeting why not just select the offline profile? No one can contact you and it's much better for your battery life too.
The start up animation can't be disabled but the following options may stop the sound:
1. Press any key as the animation appears to skip it.
2. Set the phone to the silent profile before you switch it off.
3. In your current profile edit it to disable the warning tones. This may disable the sound but also some other system sounds too.

You've got to be freakin' kidding me. I have developed an interactive form, my_form. And we launch / render this my_form in (ERP / SAP) application's portal IE browser, well.
Say, user opened this form, worked on it, submitted (we have our own submit button) and closed the window by clicking the top right corner's X button, but user is seeing stll the red Reader icon on the bottom bar, even thought the user is closed the window completely
If user try to close this reader red reader icon explicitly, user is getting the other exception popup as Runtime error as described here http://forums.adobe.com/thread/391738
Hence, am thinking to KILL the reader session right away the moment user closes the window, pls. let me know,
1) How can i KILL the reader session via JavaScript, is it possible?
2) if so, what the JS code i need to put and
3) in which event pls.?

Make sure that you have quit the app when you finish using it. To do so press the Home button once to return to the Home screen. Then press the Home button twice to reveal the open apps under the Dock. Tap and hold the Music app until it begins to jiggle and a appears in the upper left corner of the icon. i'm a user of Firefox for android. i've found a problem since I update to 16.0.2 and above. every time i tap a link or a input text in the web page, there always shows an annoying orange rectangle outline around the focused link or input area. Moreover, this outline would keep showing while I drag the page and start browsing other parts of the same page. how can I disable the annoying feature?

Windows XP, SP3 operating system recently re-installed so I also reinstalled my printer software. Now, for some reason, each time I turn my computer on, my HP Photosmart C4100 all-in-one photosmart premier software opens. It is not in my startup. This slows down my computer terribly, which is why I never used the program before my re-install. How can I disable this feature? I only print, I don't use it for photos.

Run msconfig.exe from the start button (type in msconfig). When it comes up go to the Startup tab and find and deselect the HP product you do not want to start. Save and reboot computer. Now try.

Well I would recommend you do have an off internal hard drive backup of all your files before wiping any duplicates off the internal. Once you are certain you have an off internal hard drive backup of all essential files, then use Disk Utility to erase the other partitions.

N97 mini - how to focus before taking picture ?

I want to use the phone as magnifying glass.
There was an app available from Nokia Beta Labs... which is not compatible with N97 mini.
You could also use the"T"-button on the E71 phone....
Is there such a function on N97 mini?
If i zoom to max possible zoom, then the picture is not focused, and the only way i have found out so far is to take a picture and then (after viewing) throwing it away.
Where is the focus button ????? Anybody knows?

It's like a digital camera, you press the shutter button to the first "stop", hold the button at that stop to let it focus, then press it to the second stop to take the picture.

How do I stop the annoying pop up to install the update?

please tell me how to stop the annoying pop up every few minutes on my galaxy 4? I am not interested in this or any updates verizon or samsung has to offer for obvious reasons..tomm I will be contacting verizon samsung and whoever else is responsible for all of this ** that has been going on.it seems to me that nothing is being done about all of the problems we all have been having.now for 3 days I cant get this annoying pop up to stop and u cant clear it from the notifications bar at the top either.

There is no way to get rid of it permanently. Hit the go back button and the notification will go away until the next time the phone wakes up. The last update I was able to do this for about 2 months then the update force loaded itself during a battery charge. Fortunatly all went well and the phone functions perfectly. I hope all goes well on the update that keeps proding me now. I will keep delaying the update as long as possible.

N97 Mini - How do I delete all my message history ...

On my old 6300 phone I could select messages and clear all the messages in All Folders in one step.
With the N97 - I have to go into the Inbox - delete each message individually, then into the Sent box and delete all individually and then into Drafts.
I am sure there is a way to "Delete All"
Can anybody help please?

Open message folder, open inbox sub folder. Open options in bottom left corner, scroll down to mark/unmark, open and select mark all. this should now show a tick at the side of each message. now click on your waste basket icon and it should ask you if you would like to delete the selected amount. E.g. all your messages, from the inbox file. To repeat in sent items is the same, just open the sent messages sub folder and follow the above instructions. Hope this helps. It took me 6 months to figure it out.
