N97 mini system error in wlan

I get system error when I try to browse anything through wlan in my N97 mini.
I think my settings and connections are all correct because i was able to browse before but suddenly my phone hanged and after restart its giving system error.
I have tried everything given in discussion forums
1. Software Update
2. Soft reset
3. Hard Reset
4. Soft Reset + Hard reset + (Memory Card + Mass Memory) Format

Have you tried turning off your device? And taking out the battery?
If the issue persists, and if possible, perform a soft reset: type *#7780#. Default lock code is 12345. Alternatively, perform a hard reset. First of all, back up your data using Nokia Suite (Tools > Back up). Once your data is fully backed up, type *#7370# on the keypad.
Also, you may check for updates on Nokia Suite (by going to Tools > Updates).

N97 mini Mfe Error

Hi,
I am trying to setup Mail for Exchange for a client of mine on a N97 mini.
At first i was not able to even create the connection at all.
So i updated - this did not allow me to create the connection.
Then i wipped the phone and i could not create the connection as Mfe was not installed.
I downloaded and installed Mfe and i am now able to create the connection however i get the following error when trying to sync:
Invalid Mail for Exchange credentials. Check credential settings.
If i change Yes to No under secure connection i don't get any errors but the connection still fails.
I have a N97 and this works correctly for me (I am able to send and receive emails). I have confirmed all the settings are the same with mine, i have even tried imputting my account details into this phone and it does not make a difference. Mine works correctly with 'Yes' for secure connection.
I have also tried adding/removing the domain (mine doesn't have the domain entered), i have tried changing the username to user.name domain/user.name [email protected] none of these things has solved the problem. I know the credentials are correct, they work on PCs in the environment.
I have also tried updating again since the wipe - does not fix the problem.
Any ideas? I really need to get this fixed asap.

I failed to setup a ME account. If I look up the accounts installed, the list is empty (no accounts set up it says) But my n97mini keeps giving mee pop ups every couple of minutes ( Invalid Mail for Exchange credentials. Check credential settings ). I neither can remove the pop up nor the account and it is really frustrating... I cant find credentials settings for the same reason.
Im really fed up with this phone already since the battery cover sucks big time as it falls off all the time.
Please someone (or perhaps Nokia) help me out because I need to close that pop up approx 20 times a day or more since it is always on the foreground.....

N97 General: System Error

How sexual, so ive put all my photos in my mass memory folder, (they appear in downloads on the phone
and all my music being 601 tracks in the mass memory music folder.
so...... Update music library..... two minutes later GENERALYSTEM ERROR, so i try about 3 more times and it still does the same thing
as for the photos going to the download folder well they dont even want to load.
Well done nokia for yet another brilliant phone!

its a bad firmware. wait for new firmware version. the first firmware is buggy for the n97.

N97 mini system restore

Why isn't the OVI applications restored upon a system restore, I saved everything on my phone for restore if I needed to to a hard restet.

No it doesnt matter. Some apps on mass memory require certain plugins. For example, if you install facebook on mass memory, and do a hard reset, the plugin API bridge would be deleted and facebook will not work anymore thus you need to reinstall yourself.
Doing a hard reset, you should always be prepared to reinstall and rebuild everything from scratch, especially since you should not restore settings and apps from backups anyway as the problems for which you are hoping a reformat would clear could be due to corruption in the installed files or settings files.

Cannot use WiFi on N97 Mini

I was able to use the WiFi on my new N97 mini and now suddenly it stopped working
It is still working fine on my N95
N97 Mini gives error saying "Invalid server name"
What to do????

ive had mine for 9 months.. t his morning i dropped it on the floor when i woke up and just b4 work i went to check symbian-freak and ovidaily as ususal .. then my wifi wouldnt work .. i thought no need to panic and went to work where i get wireless from my provider..
well i got home tonight and almost had a heart attack as it still wasnt working, same as you..
i tried uninstalling a few apps that i receltly installed .. nah ..
it was my router, i had to hold a pin in it to reset it ... im about to go for a walk to confirm this by stealing a few signals and making sure the phone is 100%

N97 mini wlan problem

i bought a brand new n97 mini 2 weeks ago.Everything is fine but the only problem is that i cannot access internet through wifi,When i try to connect i am getting an error message "invalid server name".plzz help

How do you connect to wifi ? Try Menu-settings-connectivity-wlan, pick your home network and select start web browsing. Also try going to web browser on phone and select options- clear all privacy data !

N97 Mini connectivity issues (WLAN & GPRS)

Hello everyone,
I am facing some connectivity issues with my brand new N97 mini.
1- I cant change the "preferred" WLAN access point.
I could surf without any problem at work during the week. Now, at home, I am no longer able to use it. Although I connect through my WLAN, whenever I use a program which require internet connection, I get a message "Connecting through NAME OF THE WLAN AT WORK" and it returns an error.
2- The same happens when I am outdoors. Although it connects with the GPRS, I am not able to use the internet as it says "Connecting through NAME OF THE WLAN AT WORK" and it returns an error.
I would really appreciate your support!

Download files from mac to N97 mini/WLAN

I can access the net through WLAN from my N97 mini, and download from anywhere except for my own Mac (snow leopard).
My wireless router can see the phone, and gives it an IP address, but I get nowhere when I key the address in on my mac.
ISync works OK for calendar and contacts.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi, I'm not that techy. but don't think N97 has share on home network (like N95 had) so I use either bluetooth or usb to transfer files (usb much faster) but I also use pc not mac. Hope someone with more technical knowledge can help'

E72 "System Error" message when turning on WLAN sc...

Ever since I've upgraded my E72 to version 51, phone tends to crash almost every time I turn on WLAN scanning, displaying a System Error message, forcing me to lose all my data, including applications I've paid for.
Upgrading to version 53 did not fix this issue either. Is this issue ever going to be fixed?
(the newly released ver 54 is not yet available for my region).
From what I've read here on the forums, I understand that reverting to factory settings might fix this issue, but I don't that I should not be forced to lose everything on my device due to Nokia's incompetence, especially since I have no guarantee that this issue will not show up again.
Any ideas, anyone?
(at this point, I'm afraid that the best solution is buying an iphone, and giving up on the dead horse that is Nokia *sigh*)

N97 system error after software update

hello there...
I've recently updated my N97 software to 21.0.045 (the last one)... and right after the update is finished, it gave me "system error" on installing... and now I can't get access to the clock, the calender and others... it even stops responding for a while each time I open sittings... and there is no theme effects when the screen flips to landscape even if it is on... please people, I really need help in that, the clock, alarms and the calender are soooo important for me !!!

N97 system error with photos

When I go to photos on my new N97 it shows the icon of one picture I took earlier in the week (the others have all been transferred off onto my PC). However when I click on the captured area to open it, I get the broken image icon and a General: system error when I try to delete it. The picture isn't visible on the file explorer on the phone or when connected to my PC. How do I remove the image completely?
If it necessitates a hard reset etc (nokias answer to control-alt-delete it seems but which takes 100 times longer) does this hard reset also wipe the mass storage memory or is it just the phone settings? Is there any way to protect the mass storage memory during a hard reset as having to back up several Gb of data and then restore it just to delete an icon seems completely OTT. Surely there is a database file somewhere that can be deleted/recreated?

Hmm, not heard of that before. My N97 refers to captured "items" as opposed to "image or video", your phone seems to think there's a media file somewhere anyway. Try rebooting phone. Also if you rename the Private folder to "Private_old" or something, this will wipe all databases. Reboot, then open Photos and phone will look for pics (and hopefully not find the one you mention). Video and music databases will also rebuild when you access them. I've not had to do this procedure myself, but I've seen it work for others, up to you.
I can appreciate it's irritating trying to get rid of such a thing without having to format any drives, if problem persists hopefully someone else can offer a simple workaround. Otherwise you'll need to back up and format I reckon. Sorry, all I can think of right now, mate.

N97 MINI V12 Backup error with Nokia Maps Beta 3.0...

After installation nokia maps 3.06 beta on my fresh hardware reset n97 mini v12 is not possible to make backup from mobile to Memory card from File manager. Phone memory on C: is 220 MB.
With nokia maps 3.04 backup is ok, with 3.06 error: Memory full, operation canceled (kind)
I think firmware upgrade from v12 to v20 delay, the reason nokia maps 3.06 is not perfectly integred full functionaly in new firmware.

have the same problem. I think its a bug in SW 12.. , after a hard reset it worked well until I installed some programs (incl. Maps 3.06). Backup only with PC or Ovi Suite able to do.

NOKIA N97 SYSTEM ERROR AND MENU NOT OPENING

I have a N97 which is a far cry from the N900. Anyhow, of recent when I try to access the menu a message pops up saying "System error" - so, I cannot access any of the other functions through Menu and, quite honestly, I don't know how else to access the menu. Any ideas or suggestions to resolve this would be appreciated!

i downloaded update for quickoffice, istalled to phone, n97 had to restart to accept application, cannot access menu on n97. system error. tried restoring phone to an earlier date but keeps coming up system error, cannot access menu to format phone to original settings help

i will be interested in this also because i want to install quikoffice on my N97.
not if it is going to cause troubles, i have just got the phone stabilished.
does anyone know how much space it uses?

WLAN Wizard gives system error on my N95 8GB

Since few days I can't use WLAN Wizard application, It doesn't have the shortcut on the passive display. When
I start the application from Tools or Search it gives the message System error. I have new version of firmware installed - V31.0.015. I have reinstalled the software again. It seems that on English version it works although I didn't check, but when I restore back language my saved.
