N97 Mini Web browser - Multiple pages

I got my N97 mini as a gift a few days ago. I've only ever used Nokia and I absolutely love the phone so far, but I'm having some challenges trying to open multiple web pages at a time. I've only been able to do this once as a result of a pop up window from a previous page. Is there a standard way to do this?

  • Cannot Access IP Web Browser Configuration Page OfficeJet 8600 Plus

    Win 7 64-bit

    Wireless Connection
    Hi:
    The printout of wireless network test page shows IP address for HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus as: http://192.168.1.104 (The HP Home Network Diagnostic Utility v4.3.0.002 also shows: 192.168.1.104)
    When I try to access http://192.168.1.104 with either IE 9 or Firefox 10 I get an error message: "The website is unable to display the webpage"
    But, on the same computer I CAN access  http://192.168.1.103 HP Officejet 6480 web browser configuration page with either IE 9 or Firefox 10
    Why I can't access the web configuration page: http://192.168.1.104
    Thanks
    FYI: I set the router to various other network modes, channel widths, channels and ssid broadcast on/off, and also removed power from router and printer, reconnected power and restarted computer, all these efforts did NOT allow access to http://192.168.1.104

    On the front of the printer: Setup > Network > Wireless Setup Wizard.  Run it.
    Next, on your PC, delete all instances of your printer in Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
    Finally,  re-add the printer this way:
    1. Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your network. Verify that you can access the printer's internal web page by browsing to its IP address before continuing. Get its IP from a Network Test printed from the front panel of the printer.
    2. Click >> Start >> Control panel >> Devices & Printers.
    3. Click the Add a printer
    4. Select Local printer
    5. Select Create a new port and select Standard TCP/IP Port and click Next button.
    6. Under Device type, select TCP/IP Device. Under Hostname or IP address, enter the printer's IP address. Click Next.
    7. Select Hewlett-Packard from the list of manufacturers and select and select your printer model. Click Next.
    If your printer model was not listed, then select Have Disk, browse the HP CD that came with your printer and select the first file that starts with hp and ends with inf. Click Open then OK. Select your printer model. Click Next.
    8. If you are asked, use the currently installed driver.
    9. It will ask for the Printer name -- enter a new name or use the existing one. This will be the name of the printer that you select from other applications.
    10. You may be asked to share the printer. Choose NO.
    11. The Print Test Page box appears. Go ahead and print it.
    12. Click Finish.

  • Web gallery: Multiple pages depending on browser

    I'm using iPhoto to post a stand alone gallery of 62 pictures for a client to review my photos. I've noticed depending on the web browser, the gallery might divide up my pictures over several pages--which can be confusing with the tiny buttons to move between pages.
    Is there any way to force all pictures in a gallery to show on one page? That would be a much better experience in this case. Also, can you edit the settings of a gallery after it has been posted (Aperture 2.0 does this now)? Thanks! --Jeff
    Example of Web Gallery with 62 photos:
    *Safari 3: All 62 on one page
    *Firefox 2: 62 pictures divided over 2 pages
    *Explorer 6: divided over 3 pages (25/25/12)

    Is there any way to force all pictures in a gallery to show on one page
    No - web galleries are a consume level feature and you have limited control of the display - to make suggestions to Apple re improvements iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback
    Also, can you edit the settings of a gallery after it has been posted
    Yes - in iPhoto select the web gallery and click on the gear icon in the toolbar - a setting window comes up that gives you access to the limited setting that you control

  • N97 - My Web Browser Is Slooooow!

    Hey everybody, first time poster here.........
    My internet browser seems painfully slow at times, I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to optimise my browser's speed? When I connect online at other times (to the Ovi Store, for example), the speed is fine, it's just with the browser...is it memory related?
    Also, is there a different browser anyone recommends using instead that maybe faster, or simply better in some way?
    Cheers everyone!

  • N97 mini Web Feeds Font is too small and can't fin...

    Is there any other way to increase the font of the web feeds.
    The feeds font seems to be fixed. I adjusted it in the setting page to the largest without any effect. It only apply to the main webpages.
    Can anybody help?
    Or do I have to wait for a firmware upgrade to fix this bugs?

    it's a bug but there is no fix unfortunately. It's just like the music player back button issue which nokia has failed to fix.

  • Quick way to format text cut and pasted from a web browser into Pages?

    I work a lot by cutting and pasting text from web browsers into my word processor.
    When I was using Word, I had built a very useful macro that allowed me to re-format the font, font size, colour, line spacing etc, as well as to remove hyperlinks, all by pressing one keyboard shortcut.
    Is this possible in Pages? I've tried Paste and Match Style, and Paste Paragraph Style, but they only seem to solve half the problems.
    Surely this must be a common problem? I've had a look in the discussion forums, but can't find anything...

    arthur,
    I'm not having any trouble deleting links. Click on View > Show Invisibles. If there's a space following the link, put your cursor to the right side of the space, click, then drag to the left so that you highlight the link. Then just hit delete.
    Or, if you want to have a web or email address in your copy without it being a live link, highlight it, then click on the Link inspector > Hyperlink button > and UNcheck +Enable As Hyperlink+.

  • Opera Mini Web Browser

    How do you add bookmarks?

    It's broken. The way it is supposed to work is you download Opera for your computer, enable Opera links and then sync to Opera Mini.

    Have you tried any other browsers yet?
    A suggestions: Browse to mini.opera.com with your N97 and install Opera Mini from there, try it out and let us know if it is any better that than the native N97 browser!
    I'm afraid I must disagree with you. The native browser is much slower in loading pages compare to Skyfire browser.
    First of all writing with font size 14 and bold doesn´t make you posts more noticed, what you might get is compliants like this one...
    You are not disagreeing with me because I havn´t mentioned Skyfire at all in my post. All I said is that Opera is quicker than the native browser. Try to read more closely before you reply...

  • Internet pages state I need to update my web browser, but I have updated my software multiple times.  Any suggestions?

    I consistently receive notices on certain webpages (LA Times, NY Times) that I need to update my web browser to see the entire website.  However, I have updated my software multiple times recently as a result of the messages.  I have Mac OSX 10.6.8 currently.  Can someone provide any guidance?

    Please note the version of your computer's OS X now installed and see if
    that version is (or not) able to run the latest browsers available now...
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html
    The minimum requirements usually are posted along with the builder site
    in a link other than the download one.
    See if the Adobe Flash Player help pages can identify whatever Flash may
    be installed already; and before installing another, usually the older one
    has to be removed. Adobe has an uninstaller for that. See there are two
    links into Adobe Help for Flash player. The second one goes further to
    try & find an archived alternative to the latest Flash player, if needed.

    PS: was the notice to upgrade browser, a pop-up window over the web page you
    were looking at? Could be some adware, or other malware item is in your Mac.
    I do not see those kinds of prompts to upgrade anything in my Mac, and
    mine run an OS X older than your Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Visiting the same sites.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • N97-mini multiple issues

    Hi,
    My phone has multiple problems and I believe by reading the forums that these issues are common to most devices of the same kind. It's a N97-mini, less than a year old and up-to-date (as far as I can remember, because today it decided not to boot anymore).
    - First the battery level is not accurate - it nearly goes from full charge directly to empty. Yesterday evening it was charged, this morning it was down. Helpful when you want to use the alarm. And tips for saving battery lifetime are simply **bleep** - what's the point of having a smartphone if you can't use any of the typical smartphones' features? Why would I disable GPRS or Bluetooth on such device?
    - Second, I have been unable to boot it today. It has been charging for the whole day now, and keeps beeping from times to times, but I have not been able to turn it on. The power button has no effect. Removing battery and putting it back won't help. Any other method would be appreciated.
    - Third, the Bluetooth works very badly - my Jabra headset simply causes the phone to reboot, while my car's bluetooth makes it freeze. I go without now, the power saving advice was actually right...
    - Last the RAM is insufficient. Even after a fresh reboot, I'm unable to use most applications. Even email polling stops after a while, saying the memory is full. But there is no application running except for the operating system. I'm not even using the browser. Again, not point of having a smartphone when you can't get emails with it.
    I was a Nokia fan before, had a N95 for years with very good experience. Compared to my N97, the N95 was amazing. It had bugs but I knew the workarounds and could rely on it eventually. In my opinion, the N97-mini is a total failure but unfortunately I cannot afford to buy something else. I would appreciate any tip on how to make it boot, at least.
    Sigh.

    Hi, for message storage, it's a tait of Nokia phones, thet after connection by usb that the storage point will revert to C, so when I disconnect my phone from computer I always check it's still set to E.
    As for apps, there are loads of sources other than Ovi, try Getjar .com, you can download to computer and just drag and drop.
    As for ovi store, I don't use the app, I simplyuse web browser to go there (it keeps trying to make you install ovi store but ignore it, just select exit.) find the app you want log in and download.
    Hope this helps
    Good Luck
    PS you can remove apps by selecting organise in the apps folder, tap/highlite the app you want to remove and select option-remove

  • When displaying images in web browser, next images appears on page where I left last doc

    Hello, I am in need of some help here.
    I have an application that displays PDF images using Adobe Reader X v 10.1.4 through a web browser. What is happening is I view a document and scroll down to say page 2.
    When I leave that document and go the next one, that document opens on page 2.
    Is there anything I can do in the setting of Adobe or the way that I am making my call to show the image through the web browser to display the next image at the top of the page, rather than displaying it where I left off on the last document?
    I have tried unchecking the option for Restore last view settings when reopening a document and also open cross-document links in the same window. Both of these had no effect on the issue I am encountering.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Scott

    I am not sure how to fix the problem using the FGL framework, but here is a way to get the right result
    In the CSS file under the @media only screen and (min-width: 769px) section, modify the following style rules
    #menu {
        clear: both;
        float: left;
        margin-left: 0;
        width: 20%;
        display: block;
        vertical-align:top;
    #content {
        clear: none;
        float: right;
        margin-right: 0%;
        width: 80%;
        display: block;
    Having said that, you will do well to scrap FGL and have a look at Bootstrap

  • N97 Web browser

    There is some major work needed on the N97 web browser. iTouch is so much easier to use. Enlarge/shrink, Seems iTouch displays the inital screen  larger format to make it easier to read.
    Besides that, my question is I saw on OVI the Opera browser, but when I clicked the link it said it was gone. Do you know if its coming back, a mistake or do we have to wait for the FireFox version?

    1. Firstly...a rebooting of the phone will fix most "lock-ups".
    2. At present I have not found anyone who has been able to change the default web browser, though there should be a method (see  "Settings->Phone->Application sett.->Default apps.->Browsing internet" ).  The OS probably requires that any other internet browser that you install (such as Opera Mini) register itself so that it appears in the selection list when you select the above setting.  At present mine only displays "Web" though I do have Opera Mini installed.
    3. I don't know of any other browsers available other than Opera Mini and Skyfire.  I doubt though that any new browser will be able to install on download--the built-in browser is TOO integrated into the OS.
    UPDATE:  found another browser by Digia for the N97/5800 it is currently in Beta but is getting good reviews.
