N97 wont recognize micro SD card

Hey all, have owned my 2nd n97 for 3 months now and suddenly when I downloaded an application called "shopping list" off the ovi suite site I had major troubles. My saved location for apps from ovi is to my :E drive which has 25gb free space, but after installation of the app I thought id open it and check it out.So I opened it, the app froze, I managed to exit it and then uninstalled it ASAP,.Next I connected the phone to my laptop to discover more corrupt files so I have deleted all that I can find. After that my phone was running like a tutle and would freeze on me,So I thought to remove battery and micro SD card, when suddenly turning the phone on without the micro SD card it would work really well.Question is: why would the phone work fine without the micro SD when I save apps to the E drive ?? I have reformatted the micro SD card and it still freezes my phone and brings up a message "E memory full, move or delete some files" , how can that b possible when I have 25gb free? IM over all these dramas that nokia software/apps has given me. Any help would b much appreciated thanks

It would be adviseable to use a class 10 card in your phone IMO. Anyway, where did your format the card? On your PC? Format it in your PC but DO NOT USE QUICK FORMAT. Afterwards, pop it in your phone and format it from your phone.

  • Sony ICD-PX333D won't recognize micro SD cards

Bought the recorder almost two months ago but it never could recognize a micro SD card.  I have tried different brands and capacities but nothing worked.
I have been talking to Sony suppor for a month now but they provided no real solution.  I followed the links they sent me to the T but none of their suggestions worked.   I made a Youtube video to show them that I did follow the steps and that they didn't work.  But Sony support said they didn't have access to check out a Youtube video.
Just two weeks ago Sony told me that this device wouldn't support any external memory.  Now they're saying the problem was my cards.
I noticed there are couple other members with the same problem and one seemed to have their problem solved.  I followed the advices given in that thread but they didn't work for me.
I tried to insert the card every possible way but nothing seemed to make any difference.
I tried to format and reformat the cards, nothing happened.
I used my computer to restore the cards to default settings, still didn't change anything.
All my cards are new, from 2 to 32G.  The 32G I am trying now is a Sandisk brand new micro SD HC card.
Sony support treats me like I was an idiot.  I am at my wit's end.  Please help!

I have two Lenovo Miix 2 devices. One device will not read any SD cards. I have even tried formatting and using Miix SD cards from my working Miix and no luck.
Am I missing a driver? What is going on?

    Greetings Rowan,
    Questions:
If you open Macintosh HD > Applications > Image Capture and insert an SD card does it show up?
Does the same issue occur with multiple SD cards?
If you put an SD card in and go to Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > System Profiler > Card Reader do you see card information (as below) or just "Built in SD Card Reader":
    Try:
Reset the SMC and then test: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964.
Reset the PRAM and then test: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/26871.html.
Remove the contents of Macintosh HD > Library > Caches to the trash and restart the computer and test.
Assuming you are running 10.6.8 as your profile indicates, install the combo update and test: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399
    Hope that helps.

  • TA25361 did restore and now wont recognize the sim card and wont start up the phone

    hello

How did you get your iphone unlocked?
ONLY the carrier to which it is locked can unlock it.
    No one else at all.
Any other method is a hack and will result in what has happened in your case.

  • Iphoto wont recognize memory card to load pictures

all of a sudden iphoto wont recognize the memory card to import pictures. when you put card in reader iphoto launches but you dont see the card on the left hand side and it doesnt ask you to import the pictures. If you remove the card you get device removal error - then card appears on left and import button shows up but nothing happens when you push the button??
If you go to Finder the card is there and i can "select all" and drag them to iphoto. This is really strange - please help?

If your card shows up in the Finder then you can still import from inside iPhoto. Do File > Import to Library, then navigate to the camera card. You can preview the photos, select the ones you want to import, and import them to iPhoto. This is actually my preferred method, since it allows me to choose exactly which photos I want to upload from my camera.
Don't remove the card reader from the USB port until you have ejected it properly. You can do that from in the Finder. Click on the little triangle eject symbol next to the name of the card (below your HD icon). When the card disappears from the list it is properly ejected and you may safely disconnect the card reader.
I don't know why the card suddenly stopped appearing in the iPhoto Source List. One thing you can try is to use your camera to do a low-level format of the card. This has been known to improve a card's performance. The second thing you can try is to delete iPhoto's preference file. Close iPhoto. Use the Finder to navigate to Macintosh HD/ Users/ (your user name)/ Library/ Preferences/ com.apple.iPhoto.plist, then move that file to the trash. You'll have to reset iPhoto's preferences back to your liking after you launch it.

  • My rebel T6s wont recognize sd card

Within the last few days, I purchased a Rebel T6s 760D. Today upon, open the box and setting the camera up, I foud that not one SD card can be be formatted or recognizable in the camera. I've used over 7 different perfectly good SD cards that have worked in the past on other Canons. Each time I put a SD card in the camera it says, "Card annot be accessed." Each time I try to format the card it says, "cannot format, change card."  Please help. Thank you

Compatible cards (according to my T6i manual):SDSDHCSDXCFor movies Canon recommeds a class 6 or better card.Do all your cards work in a computer? Are you trying to use a micro SD card in an adaptor?  Micro SD's will not work.I suggest going out and getting a brand new top of the line SD card and trying it. I suggest a SanDisk - Ultra 8GB SDHC UHS-I Class 10 Memory Card.  That is what I'm running in my T6i right now.  The 8g will run you about 14 bucks at a big box store. Also if there is any data on your cards you might want to low level format them on your computer and hopefully the camera will be able to read it then I suggest you format it on the camera.Good luck.

  • Boot Camp Assistant wont recognize Windows 7 mounted on SD card

Hello all, first post! So here goes:
I have mounted my Windows 7 to an SD card (the largest media device I have available), but Boot Camp Assistant will not recognize the SD card as a valid way to continue the process. Is this something that simply is undoable or am I missing something here?
If Boot Camp Assistant is not gonna work, can I make a new partition then start my macbook in that partition then install on there with said SD card?
Thanks in advance for the help!
    spent
    edit: clarity

It is a regular .iso mounted to a SD card, not a USB version of the installer. I did the basic mounting of the .iso onto the SD card via terminal with "sudo dd bs=4m if=imagename.extension of=/dev/disk#". But, i literally just got off the phone with apple care and they helped me this time around without a care program, their answer is: Nope, only USB or Disc copies will be recognized with Boot Camp Assistant
    Thank you for caring tho!

  • Wont recognize GL2

Ok so my imac broke and I got a new one and ever since then, I cannot upload from my GL2 into FCE. I use the DV NTSC Firewire basic like usual and still wont even let me capture anything. This is getting very frustrating and I have even tried capturing from my mom's sony dv camera and it wont recognize that either. I have tried that camera on multipe capture settings with no success. Someone help me please!!!

    Hi
Most of it in this list apply to FC too.
    *NO CAMERA or A/D-box*
    Cable
    • Sure that You use the FireWire - USB will not work for miniDV tape Cameras
FireWire - Sure not using the accompany USB-Cable but bought a 4-pin to 6-pin FW one ?
    • Test another FW-Cable very often the problem maker.
    Camera
    • Test Your Camera on another Mac so that DV-in still works OK
    • Toogle in iMovie pref. Play-back via Camera (on<->off some times)
    • Some Cameras has a Menu where You must select DV-out to get it to work
    • Camera connected to "charger" (mains adaptor) - not just on battery
Does Your Camera work on another Mac ?
Sorry to say it is to easy to turn the 6-pin end of the FW-cable 180 deg wrong.
This is lethal to the A/D-chip in the Camera = needs an expensive repair.
(Hard to find out - else than import/export to another Mac ceased to work
everything else is OK eg recording and playback to TV)
    Connections
    • Daisy Chaining most often doesn’t work (some unique cases - it’s the only way that work (some Canon Cameras ?))
Try to avoid connecting Camera <--> external HD <--> Mac but import directly to the Mac then move
the Movie project to dedicated external hard disk.
    • FireWire-port - Can be re-setted by - Turn off Mac and disconnecting Mac from Mains/Power for 20-30 minutes
    Mac
    • Free space on internal (start-up) hard disk ? Please specify the amount of free space.
    (Other hard disks don't count)
I go for a minmum of 25Gb free space for 4x3 SD Video - and my guess is 5 times more for 16x9 HD ones
after material is imported and edited.
    SoftWare
    • Delete iMovie pref file may help sometimes. I rather start a new account, log into this and have a re-try.
    • Any strange Plug-ins into QuickTime as Perian etc ? Remove and try again.
    • FileVault is off ? (hopefully)
    Using WHAT versions ? .
    • Mac OS - X.5.4 ?
    • QuickTime version ? (This is the heart in both iMovie and FinalCut)
    • iMovie 8 (7.1.?) ?
    • iMovie HD 6 (6.0.4/3) ?
*Other ways to import Your miniDV tape*
    • Use another Camera. There where tape play-back stations from SONY
but they costed about 2-4 times a normal miniDV Camera.
    • If Your Camera works on another Mac. Make an iMovie movie project here and move it
over to Your Mac via an external hard disk.
(HAS TO BE Mac OS Extended formatted - USB/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange WILL NOT DO)
(Should be a FireWire one - USB/USB2 performs badly)
    from LKN 1935.
Hi Bengt W, I tried it all, but nothing worked. Your answer has been helpfull insofar as all the different trials led to the conclusion that there was something wrong with my iMovie software. I therefore threw everything away and reinstalled iMovie from the HD. After that the exportation of DV videos (there has not been any problem with HDV videos) to my Sony camcorders worked properly as it did before. Thank you. LKN 1935

in addition to Bengt's excellent '9 yards of advice' ..
camera set to 'Play' , not rec/computer/etc.?
camera not on battery, but power-line?
did your Mac 'recognize' this camera before...?
    a technical check.
    connect camera, on, playback, fw-connected...
click on the Blue Apple, upper left of your screen ..
    choose 'About../More..
under Firewire.. what do you read..?

If so it has to be Mac OS Extended formatted

Thanks for all your suggestions. What I learned is that I had a software problem. I had something called "Nikon Transfer" on my Mac that was recognizing my Canon camcorder as a still camera and was preventing iMovie from working properly. After uninstalling Nikon Transfer and doing a reboot, everything worked great.
I never liked the Nikon Transfer software anyway--I guess I'll get a cheap card reader and use that to transfer photos in the future.

The problem was the external backup hard drive that is connected, you need to disconect the external drive before the mac can see the video camera.

  • How do i get icd- px333 to recognize my sd card

I placed a new 4gb micro-sd card in the recorder and I can't get it to recognize the card. what must i do?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Memory cards that you can use with the IC recorder are as follows:
microSD cards up to 2 GB : supported
microSDHC cards from 4 GB to 32 GB : supported
microSDXC cards of 64 GB or more : not supported
M2™ cards of up to 16 GB : supported
M2™ and microSD cards are generally referred to as a “memory card.” The M2™/microSD card slot is referred to as the “memory card slot.”
Due to the file system specifications of the IC recorder, you can record and play back a file smaller than 500 MB using a memory card.
You can record up to 4,074 files on an M2™ media (when there are 21 folders).
Note: Operations of all types of compatible memory cards are not guaranteed.

  • Why won't my Samsung intensity II not recognize a memory card?

I just purchased a Samsung Intensity II the other day. I purchased a memory card at the same time (16g, I think).
The card was put in the phone in the store by the sales clerk.
Once home, I 'formatted' the card. I hooked the phone up to my computer, and it the computer recognized the card, and thought it was dropping ringtones and pics onto it.
When I disconnect from the pc, and try to view and manage the files between the memory card and the phone, the phone insists no card is installed.
I've removed and reinstalled numerous times. The phone still won't recognize the card.
Here's what else is weird: when I INSTALL the card, it tells me the card has been removed. If I actually remove the card nothing happens.
I put the micro SD card into the adapter and plugged it directly into the computer sd-card slot. It reads it and I can add/remove files from it.

        Hi adagioinb,
This memory card issue is very strange! I understand that this a fairly new phone; however, I'd like to recommend doing a factory reset to clear any potential system errors. Please follow instructions at this link http://goo.gl/QSnVl to perform hard reset, and test. Keep us posted.

  • Curve 8330 and I'm using a 16 gig micro sdhc card

believe it or not, I am using a 16 gig micro sdhc card in my sprint 8330 curve.  At the time of purchasing I had no idea that certain OS supported a max amount of gigs.  So of course imagine my surprise when the desktop software would not recognize the card -- luckily the sender of the card sent me a usb flash drive with a sdhc card adapter -- so I just put the micro sdhc card into the adapter and put the adapter into usb the flash drive and I just upload all of my music, etc. onto the card, then insert the card back into my bberry and voila, it works.  Everything shows up.  Mind you, it's a pain b/c if you want to add/remove things you can only do it this way vs. using the desktop software, but for the amount of space, I can deal with it.  I actually sold my itouch (16 gig) and now am just using my phone as a media player.  It's pretty cool!  Anyhow, just thought I would share.

    thanks for the info
