На ярком свете K920 Vibe Z2 Pro выключается и больше не включается пока не оказывается в помещении

После обновления 23.04 телефон стал выключатся на улице при наличии яркого солнечного света, причем как только я захожу в помещение он также самопроизвольно включается, симки ищут сеть, он как-будто просто был включен после выключения. Многократными перекурами проверено - реакция именно на яркий свет. При этом после переключения на стоковый Андроид проблема не проявляется. Последовательно включались и выключались все функции отвечающие за экран, яркость и т.п. Ситуация не изменна - на оболочке Lenovo аппарат выключается сам, каки включается в соответствии с вышеописанными окружающими условиями.

Скажите пожалуйста, имеет ли данная проблема массовый характер? Можно ли расчитывать на обновление прошивки в ближайшее время в которой пофиксят данную очень неприятную багу

У меня имеются в наличии два аппарата. Первый уже был обновлен до нужной прошивки, второй пришлось обновлять по OTA. В итоге тестирование не подтвердило наличие данной проблемы ни на одном из этих аппаратов.
Думаю, что в вашем случае придется сделать сброс до заводских настроек. К сожалению, сброс настроек ведет за собой потерю всех данных, поэтому нужно сделать их копию и копию списка контактов.

Cannot send emails from my corporate account with Smartphone Lenovo K920 (Vibe Z2 Pro)

Hi All,
I bought a Smartphone Lenovo K920 (Vibe Z2 Pro).
I have configured my hotmail account and everything is working perfectly.
But for my corporate email account (with IMAP Settings), incoming emails are ok but when I try to send emails, I get the message "email failed to send".
For information, I have used the same settings on my Android tablet and everyting is fine from this side.
Does someone has the same issue?

How to sync contacts and calendar with CloudMagic?
....Security must be blocking CloudMagic from accessing contacts&calendar.You're using contacts from the Gmail account I suppose.
Go to the Security app>Privacy Guard and set CloudMagic as ''Trusted'' or grant CloudMagic access to Personal information.
Then go to Settings>scroll down to Accounts and resync the Google and CloudMagic accounts.
Let me know how it goes.

Microphone settings (?) - Lenovo K920 Vibe Z2 Pro

Hello,
I am writing to you for a peculiar issue. I am using the phone for less than a month...and have not explored it yet fully...some time back, I bounced upon an option to change the microphone setting. I am unable to find that option again. Actually, when I am talking to someone one with this phone, the person on the other side is not able to hear me properly...so I thought of changing the mic. setting...but I am just not able to find it back.
Could you pls. help me with that.

The "Smart Sound Settings" are available for the K920 Vibe Z2 PRO.
Haven't had the chance to ''play'' with a S90 yet,and some settings are model and firmware build number dependent.
....If you discover any sound/voice or general conversation enhancements on the S90 please fell free to share them.Might help other S90 users.

Lenovo K920 Vibe Z2 Pro does not support OTG Disk?I try to plug an OTG Disk, and nothing happens..I try installing some OTG Helper Apps and still nothing happens..I'd rather to keep my not too often use data in my OTG Flashdisk, and only use in by plug it into my phone..Maybe there's any help with this OTG issue in my Lenovo K920?

I can assure you that the Lenovo K920 Vibe Z2 Pro fully supports OTG.You just have to plug it in...
Can you tell me your firmware build number?Settings>About phone>Version information>Software version number
Please make sure the USB stick you want to use is working properly(Maybe it needs to be formatted.Backup anything important first) or try a different USB stick.
Also please use a quality OTG cable.
I personally tested a 16GB 2.0 USB Stick/Drive on the K920 international version-->

Citrix Worx Home Mail not working on k920 (Vibe z2 pro)

Hi,
I am experiencing some issues with the Citrix Worx Home app, which my (big international) company uses for accessing business e-mail from mobile phones.
As soon as I try to launch the Worx Mail app, it shows the error message "This device does not support encryption features required by the application" and quits immediatelly.
I already sent the bug report to the Citrix guys, but, there is a possibility this can not be resolved by them.
Anyone has a simillar experience?

Hello, I just purchased my Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro. After charging it for 8 hours, I switched on the phone and there's an automatic firmware upadate to Lollipop. After the update, the phone is unable to restart. I cannot even access the factory reset/recovery mode. I sent it to the service centre and now they said they need to replace the board. Hi I bought a k920 in India last September (2014) and now I live in Brazil. I broke my screen these days.How can I get it fixed or the phone replaced? Brazilian Lenovo doesnt sell phones so they cannot repair here.I really appreciate any help you can provide. Its hard to live without it !

How did the screen get cracked?
This is usually due to being dropped, putting it in your pants pocked and sitting down, which bends it, etc. You can try going by an Apple Store and pleading your case, or send it in for service here, (assuming it is in warranty)

You'll have to use it in English for the moment ... You can't add languages.
Later you can flash an international multilingual firmware, if any (not aware right now).
I don't know what the seller has told you but you'll probably get a Chinese firmware or a custom based on a Chinese firmware (including google services).

K920 vibe z2 pro how to install row rom and sim working

i have chinese version of k920 and i hate the chinese rom on it!Is it possible to explain how can i have the row version working on my phone and have the radio fixed and have the two sim working!I tested row rom and my sims didnt work (no signal).Any help will be appreciated!

Some people have made the row rom to work on chinese k920 and i would like to know how!.We cant have a phone over 500$ and not have greek language native and google services!How we destinguish the chinese k920 from global k920?

Anyone that could help would be much appreciated!! I live in New Zealand and ordered my K920 from China. I've had it for about four months now, it was working fine for the first few months, Google play store, Google services etc were all working fine but has now started to play up and do some really weird things and is becoming really hard to use. I've put it down to either a ROM problem or needing a system update but every time I go into settings>about phone and then go to touch 'system update' it comes up with a little window saying "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped" and it does that every single time and has done since day one that I have had it, does anyone have any suggestions?? Will attach pictures, would be so grateful for some tips as I love this phone so much!

So is what your saying that nothing can be done about me not being able to update it at all?
If you're referring to OTA updating....No,you won't be able to OTA update with the current(custom/modified) firmware/ROM.
Hypothetically speaking if you were to OTA update your phone would revert(not downgrade) to the original stock Chinese firmware(NO Google services/not allowed in CN,only EN&CN ,a lot of Chinese apps... ).
.....to update it at all?
In way or another you'll always be dependent on custom firmwares,root acces,etc....
If you currently don't have any major bugs/issues I suggest to leave it as it is for the moment and consider flashing(at own risk) a new firmware when a stable Android 5(Lollipop) custom firmware comes out.As far as I know there isn't any stable K920 Android 5 firmware available ....yet.

switch to secure zone, pull down the status bar, press and hold "secure zone" icon, enter secure zone settings screen.
Press menu key, and you can see a "delete secure zone" menu.

Vibe Z2 pro GPS problems

Hi all, Just bought this lovely phone which I very much love, however it does have some issues. Although I bought it from China, I was assured it would be flashed and completely UK compatible, which it seems to be as It does have Google Play store and everything as expected. However I use Google Maps daily and depend upon it for my work but this phone has a problem. When I input my destination, it finds it no problem, then when I click 'Navigate' it just says 'searching for GPS' and stays on that screen. I have no navigation! This is very strange since it finds the location and destination with ease ...just no navigation. There are other problems such as, my K9 app will not push messages and if any do come through on the notification bar, they disappear immediately....how strange! More things but my main concern is the GPS issue...if anyone has any suggestions for a fix, that would be very much appreciated. I have tried all the apps like GPS Test, Satellite Check, GPS Fix and GPS Status. None of them can find any satellits or signal. I have an HTC phone which works perfectly as does my son's iPhone and wife's phone, so it is NOT my signal strength, this is a Vibe issue. Thanks in advance. Android version number: 4.4.2

The K920 Vibe Z2 Pro dosen't support the ''Knock-Knock/Knock to unlock'' function.You can use a magnetic case/cover for that.

3 problems so far
I have installed Nova Launcher
1. With the stock sms function when i am not writing in english (latin based) but in greek or other Non-Latin languages, it just goes from 160 characters immediately down to 70/ or 80 and it doubles charges you. I put another sms application (go sms) but it does not support sending contacts or other staff and is really complicated? Anyone can help?
2. You can program it to double tap and close but it is not opening the same way. Double tap is not working?
3. when you dial a number at contact - it does not provide you with the contact but only the number

K920 alias Vibe Z2 Pro SW development roadmap

Hello Guys,
I wwant to ask if there is any official statement / roadmap from Lenovo for K920 (alias Vibe Z2 Pro).
For example, I have a friend in Germany and he bought the K920 recently and he already have some SW releases out (I am still stuck on k920-row-s130-140923 build, but I live in Slovakia)
Is there any list of when some country gets some version of SW?
Is there any commitment from Lenovo to bring us the android 5.0?
I searched the Web and I was not able to find any relevant info, so this forum should be right place to ask

Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro (K920) battery charging time

Hello everyone,
I wonder, if anyone could help me, please.
I'm experiencing an interesting issue related to battery charging procedure of brand-new Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro (K920).
The thing is, the first two battery charging procedures took about let say 2 hours 40 minutes both.
But the third battery charging procedure took about 3 hours and 10 minutes exactly!, which I consider to be rather strange, mostly because of web reviews of this smartphone, where 2 hours and 30 minutes typical charging time is described.
I understand the fact that brand-new battery has to be initially "formatted" and it's capacity is therefore gradually increasing after few battery charging attempts.
Needles to say, after that third battery charging procedure, the battery life has been also significantly improved. I use genuine Lenovo charger which comes with the phone in the box. The only thing, which I changed since first two battery charging procedures, was turning ON "Core efficiency" in the Lenovo Battery Manager.
Could it be the reason of such extended battery charging time or is it perfectly normal bacause of gradually improving capacity for brand-new battery? Could it be defective battery? Has anyone of the owners the same experience or what is yours typical battery charging time using in-box charger?

Phone info: Lenovo K920, Android 4.4.2, K920_ROW_S133_141010 I've already posted this message, but, probably, to the wrong forum section. Hello to all I hope that if it is the official Lenovo forum, the respectable developers already read it from time to time & some thoughts about Vibe Z2 Pro stock software improvements and bug fixes will be useful for them. Interface1) "Double tap to wake" feature is, probably, the most requested one.2) There is very long response period between the long pressing "Menu" button and the showing of the earlier executed applications list. Even then Settings > Accessebility > [Touch & hold delay] is set to "Shot". I'd better to cut this delay twice.3) "Clear all" function in the the earlier executed applications list sometimes seems doesn't work properly: I press the button, clearance process indicator is rotating, but the list isn't empty.4) The system font is lengthened by vertical axis & it looks worse then the corresponding font on nexus devices. Lockscreen1) Lockscreen crashes when Poweramp with the default settings is playing a song (Poweramp > Settings > Lock Screen > Enable Android Lock Screen = true). Probably, this is a Poweramp bug, not K920 ROM (The Rocket Player with the same functionality works well), but who knows...2) There will be a good idea to realize option "Disable change lockscreen picture by swype" somewhere in Settings, because such an involuntary change take place regularly. Stock Camera app1) As far as I know, Samsung Galaxy S5 has an HDR option for recording a video. It would be cool to implement this feature (moreover, if I'm not mistaken, K920 has the same camera hardware).2) In professional mode I can drag "Photo camera" icon left and this will result in appearance the five curves of settings (like a Solar system) - just as in Nokia Camera for Nokia Lumia phones. Bute there are two shortages in this (generally very good) idea.2a) In Nokia Camera the "Photo camera" icon is moving left just under the finger while being dragged, while in K920 Camera app "Photo camera" icon is moving only after dragging is finished & the finger is moved away from the screen. Such a behaviour looks a little bit unnatural.2b) In Nokia Camera I can show the single curve for the tuning of a single parameter by pressing a corresponding button on the center of the top side of the screen. The K920 Camera app doesn't have such an ability at all (or I failed to find it).This video illustrates the problem.3) It would be very good to add the next options: disable shutter sound, change photo resolution (5M, 8M, 16M) and aspect ratio (16:9, 4:3).4) The Zoom function in video recording mode works like simple pixelization, not zoom. Neither Lumia 1520, nor HTC One X (my other phones) doesn't zoom in video mode like K920. The two videos - about Lumia 1520 zoom & K920 zoom illustrate the problem. This is the more so strange, that in photo mode K920 zoom is apparently better than the Lumia 1520 one. Sound1) It would be great to realize step-by-step volume increasing for incoming calls. Thank you.

Yes, I have expirienced quite the same camera issues as you, but only 5 or 6 times of more than 200 photos, so made little for this issue.

I'm a newbie in photography, but noticed, that slightest chage in camera position result in disappearing such artefacts as on the photos above. So it can be result of a light sources mutual position and some camera hardware aspects.
