NAC Agent Login Dialog Not Appearing - ISE 1.1.1 issue ?
Agent Fails to Initiate Posture Assessment
The NAC agent is properly installed on a Windoes 7 , IE 9 machine, the certificates from ISE ADM PRI are installed in trustable certificate store in the client machine but is a selfsigned ISE certificate.
The reports / USER / Profiling report says the Provisioning Agent has completed the assessment ok.
The redirected URL is working fine (SEE Evidence)
We are always prompted to install the NAC agent again or looking at the additional prompted information wait for the NAC agent to load and complete.
The operations status remains with postering status pending forever and nothing else happens.
Symptoms or Issue
The agent login dialog box does not appear to the user following client provisioning.
Conditions Cisco Says this issue can generally take place during the posture assessment phase of any user
authentication session.
Cisco Advises as Possible Causes There are multiple possible causes for this type of issue. See the following
Resolution descriptions for details of what was already tested by us and please see the atached files for your switch configuration and evidences. .
CISCO SUGGESTED POSSIBLE CAUSES AND RESOLUTIONS
Resolution • Ensure that the agent is running on the client machine. ALL TESTED OK
• Ensure that the Cisco IOS release on the switch is equal to or more recent than
Cisco IOS Release 12.2.(53)SE. - OK
• Ensure that the discovery host address on the Cisco NAC agent or Mac OS X
agent is pointing to the Cisco ISE FQDN. (Right-click on the NAC agent icon,
choose Properties, and check the discovery host.) - OK (See evidence)
• Ensure that the access switch allows Swiss communication between Cisco ISE
and the end client machine. Limited access ACL applied for the session should
allow Swiss ports: ALL CONFIGURED as CISCO GUIDELINES OK (SEE EVIDENCE)
• If the agent login dialog still does not appear, it could be a certificate issue.
Ensure that the certificate that is used for Swiss communication on the end client
is in the Cisco ISE certificate trusted list. (ALL CHECKED OK SEE EVIDENCE)
• Ensure that the default gateway is reachable from the client machine. (TESTED OK)
Hi.
Can you paste all the ACLs on your switch especially the webauth redirect ACL which should deny traffic towards the PSN.

NAC Agent and NSP provisioning with ISE 1.1.1
I am trying to get all workstations (OSX and Windows) to install both the Native Supplicant Wizard and NAC Agent during the On-boarding process.
I am currently using the default guest portal in ISE.
The environment has been setup using a Dual SSID design.
At the moment, devices can connect to the provisioning SSID and get CWA. Device registration works, the portal runs the NSP setup which correctly sets up the network adapter.
The problem is the portal never attempts to install the NAC Agent.
The client provisioning policy has a separate policies for wireless/wired as well as OS. Each policy applies both a NSP and NAC Agent configuration. It appears the guest portal only checks the NSP configuration and not the NAC Agent config.
Any ideas?Just so i understand this correctly you are using both a client provisioning portal and a native supplicant provisoning portal tied into seperate authz policies.
With that out of the way are you checking to see if the client is compliant in the client provisioning portal policy.
Let me know if you have the following configured (example windows OS), this is assuming that the endpoint is statically assigned to RegisteredDevices after native suppliant provisioning.
Rule 0 (endpoint group = RegisteredDevice) AND (AD:Domain user and authentication method:x509 and posturestatus:COMPLIANT) = Permit Access
Rule 1 (endpoint group = RegisteredDevice) AND (AD:domain user AND authentication method:x509[if you deployed certs in the native supp condition] AND workstation NOT EQUAL:COMPLIANT) RESULT client provisioning portal.
Rule 2 (endpoint group = Workstation) AND (AD:Domain User AND authentication mehod using mschapv2) RESULT windows provisioning portal
Hope that helps,
Tarik Admani

ESM Client login does not appear
Hello,
It seems somethings not working as expected.
When a new user log to a workstation the ESM Client login does not appear. So the user inherits policy applied to the first user that log in with ESM Client.
On properties of the ESM client I have:
Authenticated user: [first] user that login (Local User: [Actual user logged in the workstation).
Any idea?
Thanks in advance.micgra,

Excel Save As dialog not appearing for one user
Hi,
My company uses a payroll application called Cintra.
It's possible to run a report in this application and
export it to Excel.
When one of the users exports a report and clicks File > Save As > Browse nothing happens. All other users get the Save as dialog.
Is there any setting that may be preventing this? She does not appear to have this trouble when saving any other
Excel
files.
We all use Excel 2013 on Windows 7 in Citrix.
Cheers
PaulHere is an article for troubleshooting errors when save Excel files you can refer to
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/271513
Based on your description, it's most likely that a Third-party add-in causes this issue, you can try to start excel in safe mode to test it. excel.exe /safe -
Oracle Forms 11g Login Screen Not Appearing
Environment:
1 PC running RHEL5 (Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 5) Operating System 64-bit with Oracle Database 11g (64-bit)
1 PC running RHEL5 (Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 5) Operating System 32-bit with Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g (64-bit), plus Oracle WebLogic Server 32-bit
1 PC windows (work PC) is the client so just using any browser to connect to the application
Trying to run a sample form, and have all processes started (nodemanager, weblogic, opmn, emagent, emctl), database listener, database started up, but when the Oracle Forms Services splash screen display comes up, it just hangs and the default Oracle login screen does not appear. I'm at a loss. I moved my 3 pcs thus got new IP addresses via the DHCP network. Setup the TNSNAMES.ORA with the IP address of the db machine in the file of the webserver machine. Can connect directly on the machine, can connect via TOAD, SQL+ but not when launching a form. Any clues?
Thanks,

Did you start Managed servers like WLS_FORMS .. Well when I go to the AdminConsole for the FormsDomain, I see 3 servers with a status of "RUNNING": AdminServer, WLS_FORMS, WLS_REPORTS. Then when I go to the Enterprise Manager for the FormsDomain I see all domains with all the servers (AdminServer, WLS_FORMS, WLS_REPORTS), in a green status up and running (100%).
I made sure I started the NodeManager, WebLogicServer scripts.

Did the test Form came up fine? No. I even created a simple form to look at the default Oracle "emp" table, and nothing comes up. -
I'm a student at Georgia Southern University. I use a Lenovo X200 Tablet with Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit. Up until last week I had no trouble with NAC agent logging into my university's network. Since last monday or so, when I log in it says I have to update current windows, but Windows is totally up to date, including optional updates, everything but language packs.
I've tried system restore, I've tried fixing registry issues, I've scanned for viruses, Re-updated windows, and reinstalled NAC agent. Nothing seems to work, it just won't recognize I'm up to date. I took it to my IT department (resnet), and they didn't help at all.
Any ideas on how to fix this?Jonas,
Sorry for the late reply. Can you ask your university IT folks, as to what the failure report shows for your PC in their CCA reports section? The key thing to look for is whether it's a particular update that CCA is hanging up on or not.
Please advise.

File Dialog not appearing in web form after Note:74140.1
Hello, I have implemented the source given in Note:74140.1 to replace the get_file_name function that displays the file dialog box. However I still am not able to see the dialog that the JavaBean should display. I am relativly new at linking JavaBeans with forms, so there might be something that I am missing.
I have created the class files for FDialog and FDialogPJC and put them in an ear file. I have also modified the fiels server.xml and default-web-site.xml to include the ear file. The respective code for a button has been added to the button trigger in the form, as well as the code for the JavaBean.
So far this has been unsuccessful. If you have a suggestion, your help is much appreciated.
Justin.the problem is that when I type JDialogPJC in the implementation class property of the java bean when working in JDeveloper, it cannot locate the java class file JDialogPJC.class. This happens when I put both the JDialogPJC and JDialog classes in the jar file and put the jar file in the forms90/java directory.
However, if I just put both class files (not contained in a jar file) in the forms90/java directory, and I specify the JDialogPJC in the implementation class property of the java bean, it works fine.
I would like to be able to use the jar file instead of a whole load of class files sitting in the directory. -
Reaching blue screen on start up - login window not appearing
I've checked the other threads on this, and have even posted about this previously without solution. The last time this happened I had no choice but to clone over my backup. Now it's happened again I need to stop it from happening a third time.
We've had two instances of my partner shutting down from within her user and finding the Mac hanging for so long that she's forced to hold the power button down to get out of it. The next day I run DiskWarrior, restart and all appears fine - no problem restarting or on shutdown. This morning I get to the blue screen and that's where it stays. The mouse appears, then disappears, then appears again, and this is all it does.
Started up in Safe Mode - same result.
Ran DW and TTP4 again - no issues and nothing to repair.
Every test I run shows everything is as it should be - yet all I get is blue screen.
The Crash Log shows an issue with the Security Agent. If anyone can interpret it and shed some light I'd be really grateful:

I understand that, but without knowing which specific bit of the log entry is relevant, it's hard to make that call. I'd hoped that by posting the whole thing someone could point me in a specific direction.
Most of the time it is a matter of trial and error and removing 3rd party devices, cables, and looking at 3rd party background processes, driver extensions, apps, haxies, and such.
The problem I have doesn't repeat itself after I've replaced the HD with my backup SD clone. Yet the SD clone was updated a week after this happened the first time, when I was sure that everything was working fine. It was then updated a couple of times after that, and 2 months must have gone by when it happened again yesterday, causing me to have to restore. So working on the principle of removing stuff in order to test whether its them, when they all seem to work fine for weeks, seems unlikely to be fruitful, as much as I'd like to know what it is.
You may need to reapply the combo update for 10.5.4, or do an archive and install.
I'd already performed the former. I guess an A & I can't hurt. -
NAC agent don't popup on some computer

Agent Login Dialog Not Appearing
Symptoms or Issue
The agent login dialog box does not appear to the user following client provisioning.
Conditions
This issue can generally take place during the posture assessment phase of any user authentication session.
Possible Causes
There are multiple possible causes for this type of issue. See the following Resolution descriptions for details.
Resolution
•Ensure that the agent is running on the client machine.
•Ensure that the Cisco IOS release on the switch is equal to or more recent than Cisco IOS Release 12.2.(53)SE.
•Ensure that the discovery host address on the Cisco NAC agent or Mac OS X agent is pointing to the Cisco ISE FQDN. (Right-click the NAC agent icon, choose Properties, and check the discovery host.)
•Ensure that the access switch allows Swiss communication between Cisco ISE and the end client machine. Limited access ACL applied for the session should allow Swiss ports:
remark Allow DHCP
permit udp any eq bootpc any eq bootps
remark Allow DNS
permit udp any any eq domain
remark ping
permit icmp any any
permit tcp any host 80.0.80.2 eq 443 --> This is for URL redirect
permit tcp any host 80.0.80.2 eq www --> Provides access to internet
permit tcp any host 80.0.80.2 eq 8443 --> This is for guest portal
port
permit tcp any host 80.0.80.2 eq 8905 --> This is for posture
communication between NAC agent and ISE (Swiss ports)
permit udp any host 80.0.80.2 eq 8905 --> This is for posture
communication between NAC agent and ISE (Swiss ports)
deny ip any any
•If the agent login dialog still does not appear, it could be a certificate issue. Ensure that the certificate that is used for Swiss communication on the end client is in the Cisco ISE certificate trusted list.
•Ensure that the default gateway is reachable from the client machine. -
Cisco ISE NAC agent and Microsoft roaming profiles
Hi there,
I have installed Identity services engine version 1.1.3 in didstributed mode. The NAC agent is installed on the end user PC joined to the domain. when a user with a roaming profile logs into the PC, the NAC agent fails to run posture assesment, but if a user with non-roaming profile logs in, the NAC agent does posture and full network access is granted.
Is there something i need to do to enable the NAC agent to perform posture for users with a roaming profile.
Regards,
HenryHello,
I found the following from the cicso doc. Hope it helps!
The following failure scenarios might cause the Cisco NAC Agent to appear following successful user authentication when the client machine roams between CASs in Layer 3 (both In-Band and Out-of-Band) and Layer 2 /Layer 3 Out-of-Band environments. Erroneous Agent login dialogs could also appear if users roam from the Cisco NAC Appliance network in Layer 3 mode to a non-NAC network:
–ARP poisoning
–Temporary loss of network connection between the client machine and the CAS
–Access to untrusted interface IP address on the CAS from non-NAC network segments on NAC-enabled client machines
Cisco offers the following recommendations to prevent this situation:
–Ensure all trusted networks (post-authentication) can reach the CAS untrusted interface IP address through the CAS trusted interface only
–Block discovery packets from all non-NAC networks to the CAS untrusted interface IP address (discovery packets that arrive on the trusted interface of the CAS are blocked by default)

The problem I am having is that if you make an error logging in a popup login

I want to know why this dialog appears, and how to stop it.
Thanks for any help.
ChrisHallo Ray,

- Create a new and empty workspace
- Create a new repository localtion including saved login information
- perform a fresh checkout of your project -
LabVIEW serial command does not appear to complete until I open a Hyperterm.
I can command my device using hyperterm. However, the LabIEW command does not appear to complete. I issue the command in LabVIEW and then open the hyperterm to verify the command was recevied (status query). When I start the hyperterm session (with a carriage return), I get a response from the device stating that it is performing the requested action, and then (after 1-2s) a response stating that the action has completed. I have tried commanding using both the VISA protocol and the basic serial I/O. I have also tried , and as my termination character in LabVIEW.
But are you explicitly sending the termination character from LabVIEW? Just setting the termchar applies only to read operations, not writes.
If you want VISA to send the termchar for you on write operations, set the property "ASRL End Out" to "TermChar".
And if you are appending the termchar manually to the strings you send, make sure your LabVIEW strings have the backslash codes view turned on so you're actually sending the right code (instead of sending an actual backslash code itself across the serial cable).

Actions extension folder not appearing
So last week I downloaded the latest and greatest OSX 10.10... But I found an issue, and I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but in the extensions there isn't an "Actions" folder with plugins. I originally found out because I couldn't figure out how to get Markup working in the Mail app.
Here you can see my "Extensions" pane, and like I said, "Actions" does not appear.
What is the issue? Is there a solution to how to get the "Actions" folder and Markup up and running? Or should I just wait for a patch?Working here, so I suspect a faulty installation. The only alternative is to reinstall. Hopefully, you saved a copy of that installer so you don't have to waste time, electricity, and bandwidth DLing the 5+ GB installer file again.
