Nakisa - Transport

Hi Guys
Are there any components in nakisa suite of applications (orgchart, orgmodeler, successionplanning, hcm dash board) which are transportable.
We are planning to establish 5 system landscape for nakisa each connecting to its own backend ERP system. if some configuration has been made on dev box can it be transported across landscape. i have gone through admin/install/user/master guide but could not find anything related.

This answer applies to all versions and modules of SAP TVN ...
While you can register each module with the SAP SLD (System Landscape Directory) using the first screen in the Admin Console, there is no automated version control or transport system.
Currently the process of moving changes between instances (whether on the same or different physical boxes) is totally manual. Most of the time this will involve setting up a default instance of the module then moving the "build" directory to the target instance, checking the connection strings and re-publishing (in the new environment) using the Admin Console in the target environment.
If you have made any further customisations (e.g. XSLT or ASPX or CSS file changes) then these will need to moved manually too.

Organization View for Succesion Planning-My Org. Units!

Hi,
We are in process of implementing Nakisa (Release: 301_701) with EHP4
for few components including Succession Planning.
We have completed Admin settings for Succession Planning. When we log
in to End User section for succession planning & go to My Work
Area>>Visualize>>My Org. Units- Initially it was giving error "Cannot
find the root of your orgchart. The orgchart box may have been deleted
or incorrectly specified, or no valid org structure can be found for
the selected effective date. Please change the root of the chart or
select another effective date".
After closer inspection & using debugging for RFC
HRMSS_GET_ORGSTRUCTURE_AS_XML, we got to know that there are few
Organization Views which are hard coded (somewhere) but were not
present in OADP configuration for MSS. These Org. views are (1)
TMC_O_S_CP_SUPO (2) TMC_O_S_CP_ORG (3) TMC_O_S_CP_POS. I tried to add
these Org. views with relevant configuration (not sure about it
correctness)in OADP configuration. Surprisingly, system has started
showing responsible Org. Unit for Talent specialist. But still it is
not showing all the Org. Units inside Responsible Org. Unit & also not
showing the positions inside it. I think I'm going wrong in assigning
Evaluation paths to these Object Selection rules because I do not know
the purpose of each of these Organization Views. I tried to find some
information in User guides & SDN but failed to got something relevant.

TVN 2.1 common questions & answers

Hi All, here are some commmon questions & answers about TVN2.1:
1)     Does OrgChart 2.1 require EhP4?
STVN 2.1 OrgChart does not specifically require EhP4 to function. The current build available on the SAP Service Market Place will work with pre ehp4 versions.
2)     Does the ABAP Add-on require EhP4?
The current ABAP Add-on is made for EhP4, but there will be another ABAP Add-On for 4.7 as soon as it completes the Product Quality process which will not require ehp4.
3)     Does OrgChart require the ABAP Add-on?
The STVN OrgChart does not specifically need the ABAP Add-on. This is an Add On that gets used for all STVN 2.1 products, but the STVN OrgChart does not specifically need it.
4)     Does the Nakisa Transport Package for ECC6.0 require EhP4?
No, this is not specifically required.
5)     Does OrgChart require the Nakisa Transport Package for ECC6.0?
Yes, and this is due to the use of OTF (on-the-fly extractor). It is required for OrgChart Live and Staged, although more for Live.

OrgChart 3.0 Live 'Cannot find root..' error

I'm a novice on the Nakisa system and this might be a rookie question but I couldn't quite find the answer for my issue on this forum. I apologize if this is a repeat question.
Im on Product version - 7.0 Build version - 0700038500 and I just started setting up the Org Chart app.
I've set up the data connection to my SAP system (connection string to my SAP client, Data table =>BAPI_3_DataSets_O2O , Data filter => Type='O') and when I launch the application, here's the error I get -
'Cannot find the root of your orgchart. The orgchart box may have been deleted or incorrectly specified, or no valid org structure can be found for the selected effective date. Please change the root of the chart or select another effective date.'
I see the following error in my cds.log file -

Here's what I found when I put a debugger in the function module HCM_GET_ORGSTRUCTURE_AS_XML..
The application sends an input parameter for viewid = 'ZVW0SP'. The FM tries to look this value up in either table TWPC_V_C or TWPC_V. The FM cannot find the view id and so returns a blank/null as the XML_STRING output.
Is this the cause for the error or am I way off? If it is, how do I get this view into my SAP client? Should I ask the basis person to look it up in client 00?

Hi Pooja,
Did you import the Nakisa Transport Package and ABAP Add-on into the SAP system? The Nakisa Transport Package contains the HR-OCI views etc that you need.

Nakisa image export doesn't work.

I installed the Export Pack 3.0 and the pdf export works fine, but the image doesn't:

Do you have any suggestion what is the problem? Maybe something wrong with the xml config files?
By the way, There are pictures in the Org units box, int he print previw it's ok, but in the generated pdf there is no picture in the box. Maybe this is related to the first problem

Hi N.
Unfortunately the problem looks to be that you are using secure HTTP to access your photo ("https://...").
This will cause trouble for the PDF Export add-on to read the image.
Suggestion 1:
Are you able to provide the photo URL path without using HTTPS? Your content server link already contains an encryption, there is no need to also secure the communication channel at the transport layer (by using HTTPS). I am not sure if the IT Policy will allow this, but it is definitely the best choice we have.
Suggestion 2:
Log a support ticket explaining the details of this issue. Keep in mind that because you are using an old version of STVN, this suggestion might take longer to get resolved.

Below are the following SAP requirements for the EhP4 transport:

SAP_BS_FND   701       1
Transport Control Program (TP) version 372.03.35, release 700. Unicode must be enabled.
If you are using ECC6.0 but not EhP4 or do not meet these requirements then there is a different transport you can use. I think you have to contact Nakisa directly for this. It is not the same as the SAP 4.7+ transport.

Nakisa 4.1 - TalentHubHRExec missing masterBuild.sys does not exist

Dear Gurus,
I'm not able to do searching using employee on Nakisa TalenHubHRExec using employee listing anda position listing on data grid list.
I check from cds.log show missing masterBuild.sys does not exist, appreciate if can advise where should i get the file.Below i capture 2 error from the log, i already follow based on NakisaAdmin guide for Role Authorization Mapping using NakisaAdminConsole.

1. Any search listings worked earlier or it never worked ?
2. Have you properly imported the abap add-ons and transport pack ?
3. Do you have any customizations in listings ?
4. TREX is working fine, please confirm with Basis

Nakisa 4.1 - Org Chart does not display

Hello gurus,
I do have an issue with our fresh implementation of SOVN 4.1 (Org Chart, Build 0911012400, SAP_live build). I did set up the authentication to Logon Screen, and configured the org chart settings (very basic). I did not set up any Role mapping. My connection strings all have the same parameters, including the RFC username and password. They all test succesful.
When I log in the frontend, I get the famous message: "Cannot find the root of your orgchart. The orgchart box may have been deleted or
incorrectly specified, or no valid org structure can be found for the selected effective date. Please change the root of the chart or select another effective date. "

How about the directory search function ? Does it work ?
I would follow below troubleshooting steps.
1. Validate If Transport Pack and ABAP Add-on are installed properly
2. Restart the Nakisa application and check
3. Check If User ID has correct authorizations in SAP
4. Check If Data is correct
5. Do the RFC trace

These was the Nakisa´s instructions:
Installation instructions -
There should be a PDF inside the package, but the important steps to follow are the following:
1.       You need to download the OrgChart 6.1 version from SAP Service MarketPlace
2.       You will only install the build, BUT NOT the add-on or the transport package that comes with the 6.1 version, as those are the Ehp4 ones
3.       You will then install the SAP47Addon_transport_pckg.zip, which applies to ECC 6 (EhP 0, 1, 2 or 3), as downloaded above from the Nakisa FTP site.
We follow the instructions
Could happen that the OrgChart 6.1 has not the objects.

I am trying to configure the OrgChart application. I am getting the following error when trying to open the orgChart.

This very specific error occurs when the evaluation path you are trying to use is not found in SAP.
So run transaction OOAW in SAP backend.
Do you have evaluation paths in the list beginning ZNA... e.g. "ZNAORGUP"?
If not ... this is your problem.
Since the evaluation paths used are either SAP standard or imported by the ABAP Transport supplied by SAP/Nakisa which is imported as part of the initial deployment then I would suggest you start by checking that the transport was imported to your DEV client and transported to test / production as and when required.

Hi,
You have to create a new request and transport it again before transporting ensure that you collect all the dependent objects manually in the "Transport Connection" in the collection options.

Unable to capture the Data Source into a Transport Request

Hi All,
We have a product hierarchy and we are using the data source :4R_PRODH_D_LGEN_HIER for the hierarchy.
Now we need to transport this structure to the quality environment but we were not able to capture the datasource:4R_PRODH_D_LGEN_HIER into a transport request.
When ever we activate the data source:4R_PRODH_D_LGEN_HIER it is asking for the Package and the Transport Request Number.If we give these details and save it, data source is not getting captured in the request, only the "bject Directory Entry" is getting captured.
Can someone please guide me on how to capture the datasource under "Data Sources in BW" in a transport request.

Hi Sachin,
Hierarachy datasource is not captured as Attributes and Text Datasource. So what ever you have done is correct.
What ever is captured in Object Directory Entry is correct. So go ahead with your transports, once transport is done check the Hierarchy Infopackage with Available OLTP hierarchies and load the data.
Most important thing first see that the all Master & Transactional Datasources are transported in R/3 Dev to QA to PRD
In BW, datasources are not transported, only their replica is transported.
Transportation of Datasource is done in R/3. Only their replica is transported in BW.
So wht ever you have done till now is correct. So go ahead.
While attaching Hierarchy Datasource it is captured only in "Object Directory Entry"

Error while assigning objects to Transport Request

Hi All,
while assigning a Transfromation to a Treq i am getting an error saying
Object '7KU37C7IG3T7AQ5NHSLEZVC91' (ROUT) of type 'Routine' is not available in version 'A'
Message no. RSO252
Diagnosis
You wanted to generate an object with the name '7KU37C7IG3T7AQ5NHSLEZVC91' (in transport request ROUT) of type 'Routine' (TLOGO). This is, however, not available in the BW Repository database. It does not exist in the requested version A. If the version is 'D' then it is possible that an error arose during the delivery or installation. If the version is 'A' then the Object was either not created or not activated.
System Response
The object was not taken into account in the next stage of processing.
Kindly advice how to rectify this error

You see the which infoobejct contains that routine and first collect that infoobejct and transport it then transport Transfromation. I hope you are missing some Routines while collecting the Transformations into request.

Error while transporting a data type

Hello all SAP PI Experts,
I'm trying to transport a data type but I'm getting the below mentioned error.
This is happening even when I gave the proper name of SWCV that contains this data type.
Please suggest how this problem can be solved.

Hi Ajeya,
An easy trick is to open the DataType on your Enterprise Service Builder, and once it is opened, (not edit, just open) go to Tools --Export Design Object
The correct SC will be filled as default.

Error while transporting TP in production server in workflow

Dear All,
I have done some workflows . It is working fine in development in quality but in production while TP transporting it is showing error like ' Temporary log /usr/sap/trans/tmp/TP number not found'. why this error is coming ?
Please guide m . Its urgent.

Do you transporting those requests into PRD as Developer?
I think it is basis related issue, did you had any word with SAP basis person.
Any ways could you send long text when it is giving this error.
May be some sequencing issue in PRD?
