Name display in Email

I have configured my E71 to my personal domain email a/c, but when sending mails out its only displaying my first name instead of the full name [First Name, Last Name]. Any clues

Simply sign out (Skype >> Sign Out or File Sign Out), the login window will appear where you can enter the username and password of the account you wish to use.

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to change display name of workflow email address in sharepoint 2010.
In my environment, if I assign a task to a user, the email is as below:
The “test” is the site name, the [email protected] is the “From” user.
Do you want to change the “From” field in the workflow?
If so, you can have a look at the "Send email extended" custom SPD workflow activity (http://www.codeplex.com/SPDActivities
) which allow you to specify the sender.

whether your number or email address is desplayed depends on how you have Caller ID set.
Settings -> Messages ->Receive At ->Caller ID (chose what you want displayed)

Setting Display Name for sent emails

Hi All,
I want to set a display name for sent emails. For example: when I send emails using [email protected] and after receivign this amil in my inbox it says from [email protected] Is there any way that I can show display name for this like Kartik <[email protected]>.
is there any API by which I can set this display name? Or this has to be done on mail server?

it asks for a attribute messageFrom and passes it to SMTPTransport. I have tried setting different values for messageFrom like
messageFrom=Test Email
messageFrom="Test Email"
but it didn't work for me. it expects a domain name there (even if its dummy) like
messageFrom=[email protected]
Can you tell me at which place InternetAddress is been called by SMTPTransport so that I can write my own impl for it.

Can I NOT display my email address next to my name in Mail?

Right now, I have my Name and Company name in my "Full Name" window in my account settings so when I send mail, the "from" field shows my name and company. But it ALSO shows my email address in the same field, which (to me) is inelegant. Is there a way NOT to display my email address in this field?
Example:
the from field says:
Michael Hope | H+H DesignComm <[email protected]>
But I want it to say:
Michael Hope | H+H DesignComm
Is there a way to do this?

You can create an additional address in the form of an 'alias' which delivers into the main inbox. It's quite a good idea only to give out an alias address rather than the main account one, for security reasons.
Otherwise you would have to open a completely new iCloud account (which is of course free.)

The recipient name displayed on my received emails is incorrect

For the last week or so, all the emails that I have received to my account have the name of one of my friends displayed as the recipient, rather than my name in the address panel at the top. When I hover my mouse over the recipient name, both my friend's email details and my email details can be seen.
When I forward the email with the incorrect name displayed as recipient, the incorrect name does not appear. However, I am most concerned at the potential security and nuisance possibilities for my friend (and for me by the way). There is obviously something in the display settings that has gone awry, but I have searched the email account set up for a solution and cannot solve the problem.
Can anyone help, please?

My problem has not been solved by removing my name from my friend's address card. The recipient information now includes my email address, but is still directed to my friend's name.
I have checked in my address book, as suggested, to see which entry is designated as me, and the only email entry against my name is my work email, not my personal email address, which is the one with the problem.
I have tried to add another sender to my address book, but the function seems not to be responding to my request. Any advice?

The authentication works well; however, Sharepoint shows the users’ email everywhere including at the top right suite-bar. I rather to see users’ display name instead of email. Is there any way to have SharePoint shows user’s display name instead of email
address when the primary SAML claim is email address?

How can I change the name displayed in the "TO" field of Mail.

Recently, all incoming email now displays the name of a family member in the "TO" field. I have checked mail preferences and the email account information has not been changed. How can the name displayed in the TO: filed be changed?

.. sounds like you created your Mail account with your family member's name but used your email address wen you created the account.. check your Mail/Preferences/Account then check System Preferences/iCloud or System Preferences/MobileMe

Email workflow showing domain and alias and not the name in the email

I created an email workflow for a specific user field value to receive an email on a trigger event.
However, the email received shows the DOMAIN/Alias and not the "Name" in the email content.
How to correct this error? Not sure where is the issue is.
Sample:
Hello [%Current Item: Reviewer%] is the greeting line.
If Reviewer is say Domain A/v-abcd and Name is Abcd.
The email reads
"Hello Domain A/v-abcd" and not "Hello Abcd"

Just select "Display Name" instead of "Login Name" in the "Return field as" field of Lookup dialog.

Outlook 2011 - configure outlook to display multiple email accounts.

I am having difficulty displaying multiple email accounts with their own default folders. I have tried multiple times and with no sucess. My email uses the POP settings. I have not had this issue with windows based programs. I had read somewhere that I may have to apply rule but I have seen some tutorials that apprear to work but my options that are available do not match the tutorials.

Your post is a bit open ended....
First thing - You need to decide if you want to use virtual domains or not.
If
     [email protected]
     [email protected]
     [email protected]
all should be separate mailboxes, then you need virtual domains.
If those 3 addresses can all go to the same mailbox, then you don't.
If you don't need virtual domains, then don't use them... things are simpler without that feature.
If thats the case, in the domain name field in Mail service, enter your primary domain.
You'll then need to enter your other domains via command line.
First, check your mail domain setting with:
sudo serveradmin settings mail:postfix:mydomain
Here is how you enter more than one domain:
- Quit the Server app
- Issue this with your domains between the quotes
sudo serveradmin settings mail:postfix:mydomain = "domain1.com, domain2.com"
- Restart postfix to activate your change
sudo postfix reload
If you open the Server app, you will notice both domains are now listed.

One of our user is scheduling background job, He need the output to his external Email ID.
user required that Job result output should be displayed in Email body, Not in attachment.
We have tried but job result received in email as HTML (or) PDF file attachment, But he wants output in Email body itself.

Displaying report output in email body is not available as a standard feature. Also doing a custom development would be very cumbersome .

I had a name for my user name not an email address and now I cannot get access to my itunes account

I had a simple user name through the itunes store. It was just a name not an email address, now when I sign in it sends me to an old itunes account which does not recognize purchases that I have made over the last 5 years.
Any clue as to how I can access my old account again? I tried asking the system to send me a password with my username (which is not an email address) and have yet to see an email that was on flie with that address.

I lost my address book when I installed Mountain Lion and have not been able to recover it. WHen I type in a name in an email the address shows up, so I know it is in there. How can I restore my address book?

I don't know how to do this. I typed the question in the bar above, but apparently need to type it again here. I lost my entire address book when I installed Mountain Lion and have been unable to recover it. I know the information is in there as when I type in someone's name in an email the address always shows up right away. How can I find the information for my contacts and restore my address book? Do I need to go to the Apple Store that is 2 hours away and have an expert help me or can I find out how to do it online for free myself?

The auto-complete in Mail addresses comes from two sources: (1) The "Previous Recipients" list, which can be viewed via Mail > Window > Previous Recipients. (2) Your Address Book (now called "Contacts").
If you did in fact lose your Address Book - are you sure you don't have "Contacts" in your Applications Folder? - It sounds like you are getting addresses from source (1). If you did in fact lose your Address Book (now called "Contacts" !!), you will have to restore it from a backup.

HT4436 If someone else has set up an ICloud account (that uses his name in the email address) using my Apple ID, do I have to change my Apple ID to open an account with my name in the email address?

If someone else has set up an ICloud account using my email address and Apple ID but has chosen his name for the mail name, can I get rid of his name in the [email protected] and put mine in there? Or do I have to set up a whole new acount with a new Apple ID? Will I be able to do that with his name already linked to my email address?

How did he manage to do this? - he would have to have known your password if he was using an existing Apple ID. You should change it immediately to something strong and unguessable. That will prevent him accessing the account or using the email he has set up (assuming he hasn't changed the password and locked you out).
You can't change the primary @icloud.com address once set up, though you can create additional addresses as email aliases: if he's given this address out you will get his emails but you could set up a Rule to trash them.
You might to better to create a new ID and iCloud account anyway. To do this you wil need a different non-Apple email address (you could use a free GMail one); or you have the option in the iCloud prefs pane to choose an @icloud.com address and make that the ID.

Month name displayed in month calendar view for previous month

In iPad IOS 7.04 iCal month view the month name displayed at the top of the window is incorrect. The previous month name show when viewing a calendar month. Test by selecting year view and the any month from the year. The month view will be for the selected month, but the month name will be for the preceding month. The incorrect month name in month vie is also displayed if the month view is scrolled to new months.
I observe this on my iPad II.
Ha s anyone seen this error? Does anyone know if Apple has seen this and has a plan to correct it?

Imhave the same exact problem on my iPad2. It was not fixed in the recent iOS 7.1 release, even though modifications were made to the calendar app. Very frustrating, since this is such an easily observable problem.
