Even though I have the number stored for an indvidual, when the phone rings it doesnt always display the person's name. Any solutions?
When I miss a call, the name is visible.

How can I change the name displayed in the "TO" field of Mail.

Recently, all incoming email now displays the name of a family member in the "TO" field. I have checked mail preferences and the email account information has not been changed. How can the name displayed in the TO: filed be changed?

.. sounds like you created your Mail account with your family member's name but used your email address wen you created the account.. check your Mail/Preferences/Account then check System Preferences/iCloud or System Preferences/MobileMe

Month name displayed in month calendar view for previous month

In iPad IOS 7.04 iCal month view the month name displayed at the top of the window is incorrect. The previous month name show when viewing a calendar month. Test by selecting year view and the any month from the year. The month view will be for the selected month, but the month name will be for the preceding month. The incorrect month name in month vie is also displayed if the month view is scrolled to new months.
I observe this on my iPad II.
Ha s anyone seen this error? Does anyone know if Apple has seen this and has a plan to correct it?

Imhave the same exact problem on my iPad2. It was not fixed in the recent iOS 7.1 release, even though modifications were made to the calendar app. Very frustrating, since this is such an easily observable problem.

Variable names display problem

I have three transparent text captions that are set to display from slide 1 through to slide 32 (using the option "display for rest of project").
The variables I am displaying are:
In the header:
$$cpInfoProjectName$$ - displays the name of the lesson module.
$$cpInfoCurrentSlideLabel$$ - displays the name of the current slide.
And in the footer:
Page $$cpInfoCurrentSlide$$ of $$rdinfoSlideCount$$ - displays the current slide number and the total number of slides in the lesson.
The problem is that the variable names display long enough to look somewhat unslightly. It might be for about 1/3 of a second but it is long enough to screen capture (attached just in case I am not clear enough in my description) this appearance before they resolve into their values.
This is rather annoying, since a student will see this occur for every slide.
Is there anything that can be done to fix this? Perhaps using a text caption is not the best way to display these variables?
Hmm... I wonder if creating a small persistant flash insert would be better?

I have seen that aswell Shawn. It seems like the variables are a bit slow to be populated with the correct value and then it will show the $$variable_name$$.
A Flash component would solve it and it won't take more than 5 minutes to make them all.

"My Music" app .. song name displayed in error

Hi,
I have a C1-01. I have stored some mp3s on the memory card, and I checked with an ID3 editor on my PC, they have their ID3 tags correct. But in the "My Music" app on the phone, when I go to "All Songs", many songs have their name displayed in error (they have extra information that I deleted from their ID3 tag). Eg: I have changed the "title" field of a song to say "Welcome", but in the song list, it is displayed as "Welcome - mp3albums.net". I checked with the ID3 editor software on my computer, the song has just "Welcome" for its title field. The music player on the phone is picking up the extra information from I don't know where. I updated the music library on the phone, it doesn't help. Switched off the phone, removed the battery, waited for a few minutes, switched on, same problem. Deleted temp files on the memory card, and the .trash folder on the card, same problem. Any ideas?
Also, is it possible to change the font size in the music player to extra small font?
(My phone has the latest software update, version 5.50)

There are several versions of ID3, did you change ID3v1? or V2? what editor do you use anyway? I've found mp3tag to always be correct

How to find the Actual Responder Name Displayed in a Notification

Hi,
Where are the details of the Actual Responder Details stored in the case of the below scenario
If a notification for one user was closed by another user through access to the first user's worklist, the name of the second user, who actually took the action, is displayed as the responder.
I am only able to find the Original Recipeint username in the wf_notifications table.
But where will the details of the Actual Responder name displayed in the notification be stored.
When I use the "wf_notification.Responder" function, I get the Original Recipeint username of the user but not the one who acted on the notification. Is there ANY way by which I can get the Actual responder user name who acted on the notification
select responder from wf_notifications where notification_id = <nid> also gives me the Original Recipeint username of the user but not the one who acted on the notification

Thanks for the response.
Both the RESPONDER and the ORIGINAL_RECIPIENT Column show the same username.
The User who is approving the Notifications is having the access to the Worklist of the Original User through proxy.
He is the proxy of the Original User.
I think WF_ENGINE.context_proxy will store the actual user name who responds to the notification. But where does this actually store , i am not able to get.
We Need to find out the both the user names (one who received the notification , and the one who has approved it (in our case it is the user who has been set as a proxy and has access to the original user's work list) for the closed notifications.
In the Work flow Notification , it shows both the Original Recipeint and also the Actual Responder Name.

Wrong airdrop name displayed

How do you change the name displayed on airdrop? It is showing the wrong name. I'm am using an iPod touch 5th generation.

AirDrop is not currently available in any released version of iOS. Are you using the iOS 7 beta? If so, you need to post in the forums Apple makes available to registered developers.

E71 - SUDDENLY: No Caller Name Displays!

Sometime, within a day or so following my first first sync (using Nokia PC Sync) between my E71and Lotus Organizer, I noticed that NAMES for incoming and missed calls from callers already in my contacts no longer display. Only the numbers. Names (per my contacts list) did display before I did the sync to Organizer. Calls dialed from the contact list still show up as names in the log -- however, the same number dialed from the missed calls list or directly from the screen does not resolve to a name. Only a number shows.
I'm really perplexed about this, and highly annoyed.
1) The numbers are NOT/NOT duplicated anywhere in my contacts, and I have NO contacts saved to my SIM card. NONE.
2) Deleting an entry and then creating a new one from the missed call list (using the same number and name for the new entry) doesn't help. Still no name displayed.
3) I've noticed VOICE TAGS which I don't ever recall seeing before I synced - maybe they were there, but I don't recall them. And those little pacman icons do rather catch one's eye.
4) Numbers are not oddly formatted, and in any event, they've not been changed. But something has certainly changed.
I've read the postings on this problem, and the only hope seems to be a complete deletion of my phone-based contacts, with a restore via PC--> Phone from my Organizer contacts list. I'm reluctant to try this, as the problem began with the sync between the two.
This is really pretty absurd.

I agree - it certainly looks like some sort of refresh bug or perhaps some sort of bug linking names for contacts from a particular account.
I was having problems resetting my password for my Exchange account so I finally just deleted the whole account and re-added it. When I re-added it, I left my Exchange contacts disabled. A few hours later, I was switching back & forth between my Recent Calls and Favorites (accidentally) and suddenly the names for my Favs were replaced by #'s only. Ditto with my Recents.
After reading your post, I re-enabled the Contacts for my Exchange account and let them sync. Switching back & forth from my Favs & Recents over the next few minutes I began to see my names come back.
I suppose y'all who are having problems could try to delete your account that many of your contacts are linked to and then re-add and allow sync to happen. No guarantees, but it seemed to work for me.

MGCP Name Display with NI-1 using DMS-100

MGCP PRI linked to Allstream. MGCP is configured DMS-100 Switch type while Alstream are using a DMS 500 emuling NI-1 swith type. Name display do comes out on Q931 Message out to Allstream.
But Allstream are asking for:
You need the plus/minus byte in front of the name. Nonetheless, NI2 will not work in the SS7 network. If they do change to NI-1 they must also add that byte. Example:DSP: Â±DANIEL THOMPSON

I am not sure if you successfully fixed this. I am having the same issue in CUCM 9.1

No Name Display under Lock Mode

When my Blackberry Curve 8900 is locked and I get an incoming call, I do not see the incoming caller's name displayed. I just see the number. In the past I did not face this issue. Is there some setting I need to change on the instrument or I need help from a Blackberry tech person.

Apparently it's something which needs changing on the Bes server and not the handset, assuming you've not got your contacts encrypted.

Favorites iView Folder Name displayed

For the Favorites iView from SAP, I am creating a new folder. It appears that the Favorites iView displays the folder description rather than the folder name in the iView when a description is added. However, if you do not type in a description, the folder name displays in the iview. Should it not always display the folder name? EP6 SP2 FP5

I have two ways of looking at files in Finder. The first is a straight listing, the middle of the 3 boxes in the upper left corner of finder. Clicking on the gear, click show view options, and size is an option, check it.
Another way is to click on the left box of the three, which shows icons for the files. Again, click the gear, click view options, and show item info. If a file is a movie, it shows the length, if it's a picture, it shows it's size. However, it doesn't show the size of a program module.

The recipient name displayed on my received emails is incorrect

For the last week or so, all the emails that I have received to my account have the name of one of my friends displayed as the recipient, rather than my name in the address panel at the top. When I hover my mouse over the recipient name, both my friend's email details and my email details can be seen.
When I forward the email with the incorrect name displayed as recipient, the incorrect name does not appear. However, I am most concerned at the potential security and nuisance possibilities for my friend (and for me by the way). There is obviously something in the display settings that has gone awry, but I have searched the email account set up for a solution and cannot solve the problem.
Can anyone help, please?

My problem has not been solved by removing my name from my friend's address card. The recipient information now includes my email address, but is still directed to my friend's name.
I have checked in my address book, as suggested, to see which entry is designated as me, and the only email entry against my name is my work email, not my personal email address, which is the one with the problem.
I have tried to add another sender to my address book, but the function seems not to be responding to my request. Any advice?

Lumia 900 doesn't support Name Display?

I was talking with the Rogers representative here in Canada, and he says the Lumia 900 doesn't support Name Display (as opposed to Caller ID). Is this true? Could it be possibly added via firmware changes?

Yup.. but this is slightly different.
Here, Caller ID is working fine (I can see the phone# of the caller, and if they are in my Contacts list, then the name/image is displayed) but if it is someone who is not in my Contacts list, then with Name Display enabled, their name (not number) should display on the phone (if they allow it, which most businesses do).
On my account, Name Display is enabled and works fine on a Samsung Focus S. On my Lumia 900 however, I never see names -- only the caller's phone number. According to Rogers, Name Display doesn't work on a Lumia 900.
I can attest the Rogers has the account set up properly, since it works on the Samsung Focus S.

Device Name Displayed on Home Control App

OK, here's an odd one. One of my Door / Window Sensors will not display it's proper name on the Home Control app. When viewing my devices through a web browser, the device displays it's proper name of "Front Door Sensor". But on the Home Control app for iPhone, it displays the default name "Door and Wind...". But, if I refresh the display by pulling the screen down, the proper name displays for a few seconds before reverting back to the default name.
I have not tried deleting and reinstalling the device yet but I have tried renaming it several times to no avail. Any Modes or Alerts associated to that sensor work properly and display the proper name in a web browser, it just does not display the proper name on the Home Control app.
