"#NAME?" showing up instead of values...NEED HELP!

Gurus,
I need to write BPC reports to a network folder by the entity so that anyone who is not BPC user can access it. Is it possible? I have set up a book with the entity being varkey. The reports publish alright but if BPC is not running on users' machine, upon opeining the report, I get "#NAME?" in the names of fields instead of the actual names (like Account number or version number) though the values in the cells show up alright.
I would really appreciate insight into how to rectify this situation. Thanks.

Matt - A user with a BPC account needs to logon, open up the report, refresh it, then do "eTools....Park N Go" and select the "OFFLINE" option, then SAVE the file again. Anyone now can read the file and the #NAME references will go away. BPC is funny about these files though - make sure you're logged OFF of BPC before opening up an OFFLINE file.

firstly, be a bit patient, these are worldwide user forums, the people who have a response to your problem may well be asleep/at work/school etc. or simply just busy. a few hours is nothing to wait for a response, if you have been waiting more than a few days then that is the time to 'bump' your problem up the forums. everyone on here is very friendly and willing to help, IF they know the answer or have suggestions they will let you know.
as to your problem, i'm not totally clear on what you mean.
you have a song with (what sounds like an incredibly) long title, which only partly shows up. (do you mean in iTunes or on your iPod?) i'll assume you mean on your iPod.
there have been several 'calls' for apple to implement a 'scrolling' feature for song titles, as there have been on previous iPods, and seemingly inexplicably not put on the ipod touch.
i can see how this would be a problem for you, and until apple bring in such a feature

the only real suggestion i can make is to put all the details you want to show up into the 'lyrics' box. then when the song is playing, you can tap the screen and it will come up.

Real Name showing up with Aliases. Please help.

This is very odd, and so far I can't find any answers here, so I felt starting a new discussion might be the way to go.
First off, the obvious, because I know that will be everyone's first suggestion. My real name is NOT in the "Full Name" fields under the aliases, in the iCloud Preferences, under "Account".
The details. I signed up under dot.mac when it came out. This might have some bearing. Thus I have the "dual" ID's, mac.com and me.com. I also use Lion, and the latest iOS release.
Under Mac Mail (my laptop), when I choose the "from" options, this is what I see. I have 5 aliases (a carry over from mobileme), but I will only use two as example (the problem is with all aliases.

I don't know why my real name is showing up next to an alias as an option. When I send a laptop email with (Alias) alias@mac(me).com, my name is never shown in a reply. If I send (Real Name) alias@mac(me).com, I of course see my name in the reply.
Now, on my iPad and iPod, when in Mail, and I tap the from field to select an option, all of my aliases are there, with NO real names showing at all (that is, only one set, not two like my laptop). But this is where it gets strange.
When I send an iPod or iPad email from an alias, the sent mail always has my real name preceding my alias. Obviously, my anonimity is lost if I choose to send an iPod or iPad email with an alias.
I can't help but think there is some connection between my laptop Mac Mail showing 2 sets of aliases (with real name and without), and my iDevices sending
mail only with real name, and possibly a connection between my iCloud account and my seemingly still active mobileme account, that all mm users were given an extension on (note, in my laptop mail accounts there is only the iCloud account, not an additional mobileme one.
I have checked my Mac Mail accounts, and the iCloud Preferences>Accounts, as well as iCloud Preferences>Composing, and nothing seems out of order.
Ideally, the goal is to have:1) on my laptop Mail the one set...my aliases without name and my proper real name email, and 2) the ability to send an alias email with complete confidence that my real name will not be there with the alias.
I am very grateful for everybody's input. As I mentioned, I could not find any similar thread. Thank you.

OK, I found a work around.
On your iDevice,
1) GO TO: Settings
2) GO TO: Mail, Contacts, Calendars
3) GO TO: iCloud
4) GO TO: Account
5) GO TO: Advanced: Mail - You'll have to scroll down, the option is at the bottom, below the bottom edge of the screen.
6) GO TO: iCloud Account Information
7) REMOVE Any information in the NAME field
This will prevent your iDevice from sending the name in that field on ANY account (main or alias), all it will send is the email address you specified ([email protected], [email protected], etc)
Now, what you can try is:
8) GO TO: Contacts
9) CREATE: A new contact for each alias (assuming your main iCloud email is already associated with your own Contact file
10) ENTER the pseudonym of choice for your alias.
11) ENTER the corresponding alias
Try sending some test emails and see if the iDevice pulls the contact information. When I sent my test emails to my Gmail account, the web-based Gmail only had the email address. However, the iDevice Mail app associated the email with the contact card.
One downside to this, is that, especially with Gmail, your iCloud emails will end up going in to spam, so you may want to set expectations with your recipients.
You can also create multiple iCloud accounts, use your alias as your email BUT MAKE SURE YOU USE YOUR APPLEID for mail server authentication. You would then follow steps 1-6 above but enter the name you want associated with the alias email. The issue with this is you WILL get duplicate mail in your inbox and drain your battery needlessly.
Again, it is by no means an elegant solution, but its a far better cry than having multiple emails or jury-rig configurations.

Could you tell us the iChat version and whether this is an AIM Login ?
If it is an AIM Login can you also specify whether it is AIM, @mac.com, @me.com from Mobileme days or @me.com from an iCloud registration.
If AIM with one of the Apple IDs listed then the password needs to be 16 characters or less.
Apple prompt you to have longer (more secure) but the AIM servers can only cope with/up to the 16
For @mac.com and older @me.com use iForgot to change the password or do a Web Browser login to iCloud and change your password there.
The message you have is typical of AIM
It tends to be the password they are talking about because if the name is wrong it cannot even check further and will tell you the name does not exist. (the message is different).

After reverting back to Garageband 6.0, I find that I still lack all the Garageband Effects (Distortion, Vocal Transformer, etc.). The Garageband 10 "AU" plug ins are there instead. I need help getting the old effects back.

For background: I lost my v6 because I had to reformat my whole hard drive. When I reformatted I lost GB and everything else I had. I downloaded GB (unaware of the awfulness that is v10) from the App Store. The fact that v10 does not have all my favorite and most used effects from v6, I uninstalled v10 and redownloaded v6 from my App Store Purchases. I load up v6 only to find that all the default effects are there for each instrument, but when I go to add an effect (i.e. Distortion, Vocal Transformer, Flanger, etc.), instead of the list of classic effects, there's the list of awful AU effects from v10. What gives?!

For me, the "Edit" panel in GB6.0.5 looks like this:
Are you saying, that the upper part with "GarageBand Effects" is missing?
Then check, what is installed in your System Library in the folder
/Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Instrument Library/
(the topmost "Library" folder on your Hard Drive.
You may need to restore the old GarageBand effects and Track settings files from your backup:
i.e look into the folder /Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Instrument Library/Plug-In Settings/
and restore the settings for Chorus, Flanger, Vocal Transformer, Tremolo, whatever effects you are missing.
And also look for missing files in "Track Settings" folder and "Sampler" folder.
What kind of backup do you have? If you have a Time MAchine backup, go back in time to the time before you upgraded to GB 10.

I don’t have this issue, but I am looking to learn about which parts of the old GarageBand can safely migrate to the new GarageBand 10.

Cinebench Test Shows Low Scores and I need Help Explaining it?

I ran the Cinebench test to check on the performance of my video card. I have a MAC PRO 12 core with 16 Gigs of ram. 1.5Gig Nividia Quadro FX 4800 Video Card, 5TB Hard Drive Space. KONA LHI VIdeo I/O card, SATA CArd connected to external Panasonic P2 Card Reader, and a SCSI Controller connected to an external Drive Array.Running Adobe CS5, MAC OS 10.6.8. Everything has been updated including all drivers. When I ran the test surprisingly I got the results below. I spent a little over $10,000 on this machine in order to be able to use after effects faster. I have not noticed a large increase in the realtime performance for video.
When I watch the training videos for templates that I use from digital Juice there sytems seems to run the videos fairly fast and fluid. My system on the other hand with the same product runs extremely slow even when the aftereffects timeline is set to 1/4 resolution.
I have posted this question on multiple forums trying to get an answer. I am thinking it is a conflict within the hardware that I am using. Hopefully someone else is having this same issue and can help me out.
One final thing. I am pretty certain that the video card is working because the exporting of MPEG 2 files which the CUDA processor was designed for is very fast. In this image you can see the FX 5800 which is only one step above and its benchmarks are much higher, They should atleast be somewhat close to each other.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

There are better tests and CINEBENCH really does not, it stresses cpu.
There was a good discussion on MacRumors on why that program is not useful and what others you might want to run, from Heaven to PRIME95. And see what Barefeats for instance used to test GTX and others recently.

I didnt have to do anything to it, turned it on, activated it, got it on my home network then I signed up for the 3G data service, it works where ever I happen to be. (if there is an unknown WiFi connection available it asks me if I want to join before it continues to connect to the 3G when I am surfing or getting e-mail)

Problem Statement: Generic Code should display the parameter values dynamically by taking "package name" and "procedure name" as inputs and the values needs to be obtained from the parameters of the wrapper procedure.

Not possible to dynamically in a procedure, deal with the parameter values passed by a caller. There is no struct or interface that a procedure can use to ask the run-time to give it the value of the 1st or 2nd or n parameter.
There could perhaps be some undocumented/unsupported method - as debugging code (<i>DBMS_DEBUG</i>) is able to dynamically reference a variable (see Get_Value() function). But debugging requires a primary session (the debug session) and the target session (session being debugged).
So easy answer is no - the complex answer is.. well, complex as the basic functionality for this do exists in Oracle in its DBMS_DEBUG feature, but only from a special debug session.
The easiest way would be to generate the wrapper itself, dynamically. This allows your to generate code that displays the parameter values and add whatever other code needed into the wrapper. The following example demonstrates the basics of this approach:

hi all, forgot i had a user name and password and haven't needed help for quite a bit since i didn't do sql for a while but now i'm back at reporting again...

Sorry, but. I didnt put my sql statement as I wasn't planning on posting and left it at work, but, i've been looking on internet and people say to use min/max function and i've attenpted it with it works with just this table (without grouping). But as soon as i group it the values seem to mess up.
Last i remembered it gave me:

I think it's looking at max duration which is 30&70 and hence it retrurns those values in the result set. Is it because of the max function hence it's returning this value? any help is appreciated. thanks

Email Name showing up to recipient

I have several email accounts set up on my BB. When I use any of my accounts other than my primary, my name will not show up to the recipient of the email, rather it shows my email address. I can not find a way within the setup options for the addition email accounts to have my name show up rather than my email. I know I must be overlooking something very obvious, who would not have the ability to have a senders name show rather than email.
Any help appreciated.

This should be in the Manage Internet Email setup page. Can you go into that page and edit the settings? If you can't do it from the device try going to your carrier BIS web based setup page.

Need Help, retrieving a combo boxes actual/print/visible value instead of the export value.

I need help, retrieving a combo boxes actual value, not the export value.
I have a combo box with multiple options to select from.
each of those selections has a separate export value, which is in the form of a number, which I use to calculate dates in a separate field.
However, I have another field that i want to retrieve the, users selected value, which is text, from the combo box instead of the export value.
Is there an easy way to do this.
This is what I am currently using. But like I said the results are that I retrieve the export value and not the selected text value.
event.value = this.getField("_Arugula").valueAsString;

First get the currentValueIndices property of the combo box and use it with the getItemAt field method to return (what I call) the display value. Something like:
var f = getField("combo1");
var display_value = f.getItemAt(f.currentValueIndices, false);
