Namespace extensions in RSS 2.0: Chemistry

The feed http://www.ch.ic.ac.uk/video/index.rss has a declared extension (properly namespaced) which extends the podcast to carry chemistry. As such, this extension seems to eg pass the validation at http://feedvalidator.org/ with no errors. Leaving aside the issue of how such content might be handled (answer: via opensource chemistry software such as http://jmol.sf.net/ ), its worth asking whether such "chemcasting" is an appropriate way of extending podcasting into media domains other than audio/video (chemcasting by the way was first developed, peer reviewed and published in 2003. Inexplicably, its not supported by iPods:-)?

Daniel,
The front page of the TeamCollab client is a summary of all the activity in all the workspaces and as such is an amalgamation of all of the recent Activities in the workspaces.
The RSS feeds are there but have been dropped down to the individual components view. To see the Recent Activity RSS feed button you have to click on the Recent Activity link at the top of the small window or via the left hand menu label. The same applies to the Announcements. It is less obvious I agree and will raise an ER to get the feed icons put back into a more prominent place.

  • Modifying windows search behvaior in a Shell Namespace Extension (NSE)

    Hello,
    I have a shell namespace extension that creates a drive.
    It uses a web service URL to return a list of items to display as virtual files and/or folders. It works perfectly fine.
    When it comes to searching within the drive, it doesn't return the results I want it to.
    What I want to know is what interface do I have to implement to return custom search results, so that I can also use a web service URL to get the results and then display them as files and/or folders.
    This is specific to Windows 7 and later.
    Thank you for your help in advance.

    Thank you Viorel but ...
    IFilterSample is completely irrelevant as I'm not trying to handle a new file extension.
    I'm trying to find out which interface do I implement to do all or most of the following:
    -Provide sink events when a search starts.
    -Provide custom results based on the search string.
    -Stop/Pause the search whenever I want.
    I'd really appreciate some help from the shell team.

  • Importing an idoc with namespace extension gives strange XML tagnames in PI

    Hello All,
    We have created an extension to the ORDERS05 idoc in a namespace. The extension is called "/cclcl/zorders05", "/cclcl/" is the ABAP namespace. We want to use this Idoc in SAP PI and send the Idoc in XML format to a external party. The XML format of the Idoc is generated in SAP PI, when we import the idoc in the Enterprise Service Repository. The root element of the XML is being generated as  <_-CCLCL_-ZORDERS05> (see idoc xml example below). The "/" characters are converted to "_-" and therefore the XML rootelement looks very strange. How can we use idoc extensions under a ABAP namespace and have normal rootelements in the idoc xml of SAP PI (without the "_-" characters)?
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <_-CCLCL_-ZORDERS05>
    <IDOC BEGIN="">
    <EDI_DC40 SEGMENT="">
    <TABNAM/>
    <MANDT/>
    <DOCNUM/>
    <DOCREL/>
    <STATUS/>
    <DIRECT/>
    <OUTMOD/>
    <SUNIT/>
    <WAERQ/>
    </E1EDS01>
    </IDOC>
    </_-CCLCL_-ZORDERS05>
    Kind regards,
    Mark

    Hi, Mark van Dooren
    I think i could not put the statement in  proper manner in previous post ,i feel,
    when u import a Idoc from an R/3 system,u will get the XML structure in which u will be haveing the '/' character
    replaced by '_-'.
    And when u use this XML structure(of Idoc)  and export it to the external system,then the structure will be automatically converted into the normal XML structure in destination system.
    This part u need not to take care externally.....
    I hope i made my statement clear..

  • Namespace prefix null in FaultCode

    Hello,
    I am seeing this null namespace prefix in faultcode in the fault I received. When I browsed this forum discussing fault details, generally I noticed pretty much everyone have this same null prefix in fault codes.
    <Fault>
    *<faultcode>null:remoteFault</faultcode>*
    <faultstring>business exception</faultstring>
    <faultactor>cx-fault-actor</faultactor>
    </Fault>
    Does anyone have any insight into what is causing the Fault message to put "null" prefix?
    With Regards,
    Ranjith

    Hi Ranjith,
    In my 10.1.3.5 server, I get a remote exception as follows:
    <Fault  soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"  >
    <faultcode ns1="http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension" >ns1:remoteFault</faultcode>

    </Fault>So I think it might be a 10.1.3.3 issue or specific to your installation.
    Can you confirm you have the file $ORACLE_HOME/bpel/system/xmllib/RuntimeFault.wsdl and its contents define the fault elements in the bpelx:("http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension") namespace and in your bpel files you have defined the bpelx namespace extension to that?

  • Rss, calendar and search?

    I am using dreamweaver developer toolbox with the dreamweaver cs3, and was looking for tutorials on the Internet and found this here (http://www.interaktonline.com/Support/Articles/Details/%28UPDATED%29+Building+a+Blog+%23 3%3A+Calendar%2C+Search+%26+RSS+Feed.html?id_art=32
    This means old, but served well, but it says need of the following extensions:
    MX RSS Reader-Writer
    MX Site Search
    MX Calendar
    And as a interatk was bought by the adobe, where can I find these extensions compatible for dreamweaver developer toolbox? Or he already has the native?

    Agreed. I have calendar data going all the way back to my first Pilot 500 (September 1996). It's all synced to my new iPod Touch 4 but the iOS won't search back more than a year. What a pain! I have put in a suggestion, sure hope they're listening. [Just part of why I have disliked Apple since they dropped support for the Apple ][ in the early 1980s.]

  • How to get RSS feed url for site?

    Is there a way to get the RSS feed url for a blog using Safari?  I'm currently using FF for this since it is very simple.  But that's about the only reason I use FF.  Would be nice not to need two tools.
    I don't want to subscribe to the site in Safari.  I have an RSS Reader app that I plug the url into.  I just want to see the url.

    For some reason they removed that handy feature from Safari. But, there is an Extension called RSS Menu, which will add a button on your toolbar, giving you that function back.

  • Windows File Save dialog freezes a virtual folder

    We have a shell namespace  extension that presents a remote document repository as a virtual  folder in the Desktop folder. When the File Save dialog box is opened from  within Adobe Reader or  Acrobat version 9, our  virtual folder appears inactivated. Even though the common dialog box displays  the items in the folder, it is not possible to select any of the items, e.g.,  using a mouse click or key code press.
    Note that the same common  dialog when running in open mode works fine. Our virtual folder is enabled, and  an item can be selected for the Open action. It appears that the problem shows  up only when the Save dialog runs from within Adobe Reader 9 or Acrobat  9.
    The problem appears to be  limited to Windows 7 and Vista. XP does not have the  problem.
    I would like to know  why and how the save dialog gets disabled, and would like to know how  to prevent the dialog from disabling the  virtual folder.

    Hi,
    I have followed the example you mentioned to save a picture to the folder shortcut, and the name won't change to the shortcut. Also the picture would be saved into the original folder.
    Here is the steps I did:
    1. Create a folder named New folder in My documents:
    2. Select it and then press ctrl + C and right-click on destop choose paste shortcut(named New folder-Shortcut);
    3. Right-click on a picture in one webpage then open the save picture as dialog box;
    4. Navigate to the desktop folder shortcut and double-click into it, the file name field won't change;
    5. My machine is Windows 7 Enterprise SP1.
    Would you please tell some more details on how you saved the picture?
    In addition, there might be some other applications triggered this action, we may take a look with process monitor:
    The download link here:
    Process monitor
    And here is a blog talking about how to use it:
    Process Monitor - Hands-On Labs and Examples
    If possible, please redo the action, then upload the result into onedrive and paste the link here.

  • Resource is not visible in workbench Aplication View

    Hi,
    When i write any file into the repository from Java API or Dotnet services using writeResource(), then I am not able to see this resource from Application View in Work bench.
    Though i am able to read the resource using API but not able to open it from Work bench.
    Can any one tell me why this is happening???
    Regards
    Sunil

    It's been several months since you posted, so I'm not sure whether you still need this, However, I'm trying to do the same thing -- migrate only the new or changed forms between servers using the RepositoryService APIs, and I think I've found something that works.
    When I drag a resource into an application in ES2, the resource ends up with a ResourceProperty collection.  When I add a resource using the writeResource API call, however, this ResourceProperty collection is not created.  After some trial and error, I found that I could create a ResourceProperty collection when I create the Resource itself and then use the writeResource API call to add the resource to an application.
    The ResourceProperty that makes the resource visible is in the "System" namespace.  It's named "PRIMARY" and should have the value of
    "true".
    I use the .NET APIs, not the Java APIs, but I think the concept would be the same.  In the code below, "ES2RepositoryService" is a web reference to the LC ES2 repository service and "OriginalBlob" is the Blob read in from the region from which I'm migrating.
                Dim ES2LC As New ES2RepositoryService.RepositoryServiceService
                ES2LC.Credentials = New System.Net.NetworkCredential(<logon>, <password>)
                Dim NewBLOB As New ES2RepositoryService.BLOB
                NewBLOB.contentType = OriginalBLOB.contentType
                NewBLOB.binaryData = OriginalBLOB.binaryData
                Dim NewContent As New ES2RepositoryService.ResourceContent
                NewContent.dataDocument = NewBLOB
                NewContent.size = NewBLOB.binaryData.Length
                Dim NewResource As New ES2RepositoryService.Resource
                NewResource.id = New ES2RepositoryService.Id
                NewResource.lid = New ES2RepositoryService.Lid
                NewResource.content = NewContent
                NewResource.name = <resource name>
                NewResource.description = <resource description>
                'add properties
                Dim testProps(0) As ES2RepositoryService.ResourceProperty
                Dim newProp As ES2RepositoryService.ResourceProperty
                'this one makes it visible in Workbench
                newProp = New ES2RepositoryService.ResourceProperty
                newProp.name = "PRIMARY"
                newProp.namespace = "System"
                newProp.value = "true"
                testProps(0) = newProp
                NewResource.resourceProperties = testProps
                ES2LC.writeResource(<new resource path>, NewResource, Nothing, Nothing)
    Setting this "PRIMARY" property seems to be the trick to making the resource visible under the application in Workbench.
    When I drag a resource in, many other resource properties are generated as well, and these can be added just as the "PRIMARY" property was.  In my case I saw the following in the resourceProperties collection:
    In the "System" namespace:
    LASTUPDATEDBY                              - name of the last user who updated the resource
    PRIMARY                                    - "true"
    VISIBILITY                                 - this had the value of "Private"
    PUBLISHEDSTATUS                            - this was valued as "InProgress"
    RESOURCETYPE                               - this had the value of "TLO"
    Deployment Version                         - Nothing
    Deployment ID                              - Nothing
    In the "Custom" namespace:
    extension                                  "xdp"
    scope                                      "Far"
    relative-path
    absolute-path
    application-name
    isApplication                              "false"
    version
    If the resource is an XDP that has a relationship to another file (an XSD, for example) another ResourceProperty is created where
    the value is the path to the related file and the namespace is "Reference".

  • I get a strange behavior of the tab bar and of the location bar in Firefox 29.0 for Mac.

    I have just installed Firefox 29.0 for Mac.
    I get a strange behavior of the tab bar and of the location bar with this new version.
    Instead of the location bar, I get two rows of symbols. And it's impossible to write anything in the location bar.
    (I'd like to add a screenshot, but I cannot find a way to do it.)

    Thank you for your tip.
    I found the culprit: it was an extension called RSS Icon 1.0.6.
    I removed it and now Firefox 29.0 is working perfectly.
    Now I'll have to find a replacement for that extension.
    Thank you once again. Your tip was essential.

  • Installed OS X 10.10 which slowed Late 2010 MacBookAir

    I've been scouring the Apple forums for tips to improve the performance of my Late 2010 MacBookAir. As many have experienced, after installing OS X 10.10 Yosemite, my MBA performance dropped to a crawl. Hanging up at time with the colorful swirl, slow internet, poor battery performance, unable to multitask as well prior to OS 10.10.
    Many tips suggested Uninstalling software like CleanMyMac2 and use FindAnyFile to locate hidden files to delete. Other software like AppCleaner, which I ran. Reset PRAM and SMC, which I did. Turn off some of the energy consuming features found in OS X 10.10, etc… All steps have been performed.
    Lastly I ran EtreCheck and didn't get any hits in RED, but here are the results of running that software;

    Try these in order testing your system after each to see if it's back to normal:
    1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
        b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
    2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
         Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the
         COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the
         computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager
         screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
    When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
    4. Reinstall Yosemite: Reboot from the Recovery HD. Select Reinstall OS X from the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
    Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
                because it is three times faster than wireless.
    5. Reinstall Yosemite from Scratch:
    Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
    How to Clean Install OS X Yosemite
    Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
                because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • Weird difference after adding a new imap account.

    Well, this is weird, unlike my other accounts this is what it looks like when I add new folders on this account.
    Anybody have any idea why this would happen? I'm running tiger and the most up to date patches.
    powerbook   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Read from: http://www.courier-mta.org/?FAQ.html
    Q: Can't create folders, only subfolders of INBOX
    This is a configuration issue with your mail client. IMAP servers are free to use any folder namespace arrangement that's technically convenient for them. Courier uses "INBOX." as the namespace for private folders, and "shared." as the namespace for public, shared, folders. The IMAP NAMESPACE extension (see http://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc2342.txt) allows IMAP clients to automatically discover where the server creates folders, and your IMAP client should implement it.
    This should be completely transparent to you, if your IMAP client properly uses the NAMESPACE extension. If your IMAP client were to automatically take advantage of self-configuration features offered by RFC 2060 and RFC 2342, it would automatically discover, without any additional configuration from the user, that:
    The folder namespace hierarchy separator is the . character
    Private folders are stored underneath the "INBOX." hierarchy
    Public folders are stored underneath the "shared." hierarchy
    If you have to explicitly create folders that are subfolders of INBOX, or if you explicitly have to name that "INBOX.foldername", this is due to your IMAP client not being able to configure itself accordingly.
    A: Correct. IMAP servers are free to define any root of the folder namespace tree that's convenient for them. Courier's IMAP server uses INBOX as the folder namespace root, rather than the root hierarchy itself. Courier supports the NAMESPACE IMAP extension which allows compliant IMAP clients to automatically configure themselves so that the folder namespace root is transparent. Submit an enhancement request to have your IMAP client gracefully handle the folder namespace root.
    Does this mean that Mail.app isn't rfc compliant when dealing with imap?

    http://www.mediafire.com/?znijmzmalrj
    which gives a link to download the file. This won't work in iTunes: you must give it a URL directly to the feed. The test is that if you open the URL in a browser it will treat it as rss and display the contents.
    Although the extension of .rss will work it would be better if the extension was .xml

  • How to find whether the file or folder is original or copied ?

    I want to created a secure file and only that file which i have generated should be worked as key .
    For example : consider windows Screenshots folder in Library->Pictures , If we move that folder to an new location, automatically the screenshots taken by the users will be stored in the new location and if we even copy the folder or created the new folder
    with same name (as Screenshots) in Library->Pictures , Screenshots will not store in that folder .

    Screenshots folder is not a true file system folder - it's a shell namespace extension. The actual physical files are stored in some physical folder on disk somewhere, and can happily be copied and what not. The extension just provides a virtual view
    of those files. See

  • RoundCube Webmail Authenticating against Open Directory on Mountain Lion 10.8.x

    Hello all,
    I've been battling this issue for over a month with no success. Here is what we got:
    Mac Mini Server running Mountain Lion Server 10.8.2 running Calendar, Contacts, Mail and Web services.
    With there being no webmail present I've gone thru the process of installing RoundCube.
    I'm using Postgres as the database.
    When I test the ability to login I get the following error messages in the console.app
    10/12/12 10:13:27.071 AM log[182]: auth: Error: od(andrew,::1): Authentication server failed to complete the requested operation.
    10/12/12 10:13:27.071 AM log[182]: auth: Error: od(andrew,::1): authentication failed for user=andrew, method=DIGEST-MD5
    The first line I find the most interesting but have had no success determinign exactly what it means.
    I'm using open directory to authenticate and it is working perfectly with every other service so I'm led to believe it's an issue between RoundCube and Open Directory.
    ANY help would be appreciated emmensely!

    Sorry about taking so long to get back on here working on this. I've switched over to MySQL. I had a hard time because mysql.sock was located under /tmp/ rather than /var/mysql/ but I fixed that by using the following command:
    sudo ln -s /tmp/mysql.sock /var/mysql/mysql.sock
    Then I reinstalled roundcube. Here is my main.inc.php file:

  • IMAP Differences

    I have used IMAP successfully for quite some time and have grown to rely on the ability to organize my email when I am away from my desk whether on other computers or on my smartphone. Recently, however, I have moved my menagerie of websites and domains to a "reseller" account with a host that was recommended with me. I moved a handfull of sites first to see if I could make everything work and am so far having the following IMAP problem.
    On my old host my IMAP folders for a particular account appeared under that account's description under INBOX. The small triangle to the left of the word "Inbox" opened to reveal the names for each of my accounts, and under the IMAP accounts another triangle appeared. That triangle gave way to the individual user created folders on the server for that mailbox such as "Archive" or "Pending." The Sent, Drafts, and Trash folders for each IMAP account simply appeared under the appropriate section of the sidebar beneath "Inbox." Now, the folders for each accounts appear beneath the name of the email address next to an "@" symbol in a globe. Additionally, I cannot get them to sync as I would like.
    What differences between the two IMAP servers are causing this that I should be aware of?
    Thank you.

    You’re welcome.
    I attempted to rebuild the folder structure of my old IMAP server as such
    What do you mean? Why have you reorganized that way the folder hierarchy on a server for which Mail was already displaying the mailboxes as subfolders of the account’s Inbox even though they really weren’t?
    I'm basically trying to understand what was "wrong" and/or "unsupported" about my old setup.
    Not sure what you mean here either. Doesn’t the part of the Courier FAQ I mentioned in my first post answer this?
    If you don’t put INBOX in the IMAP Path Prefix for IMAP servers that use the NAMESPACE extension that way, Mail wouldn’t be able to create on the server the standard mailboxes it uses by default, for example. You’d have to make sure they exist on the server first (and create them if they don’t), then manually do Mailbox > Use Mailbox For for each of them.
    If IMAP Path Prefix is set correctly (or if Mail provided full support for the NAMESPACE extension), you’d have to do that only if you want Mail to use for a specific purpose a mailbox different from the one it would use by default.
