Naming Mobile Uploads Albums for Facebook

Whenever I upload pictures from my Droid Incredible to my Facebook account, they automatically get placed in the "mobile uploads" album. Is there any way to create a new album when uploading? Thanks a bunch!

@lady_g, yes there is a way! Follow the steps below:
- Open your Photo Gallery (Gallery app)
- Tap on Album (e.g. Camera Shots)
- On the bottom bar, Tap on share button (the one with two arrow going in opposite directions)
- On the "Share via" list, Tap on "Facebook for HTC Sense" (not Facebook!)
- Now tap on one or more photos that you want to upload and tap the "Next" button
- Optionally you can provide a caption for each photo on the next screen. Once you are done, Tap the "Upload" button
- On the next screen, the very first field is the "Album" field. Tap on it to choose an existing Facebook album, OR tap on the first option on this list to "Create Album".
- Provide an Album Name and tap OK.
- Now choose how you would like to share this album and Tap "Done".
Hope this helps!

  • Uploading to existing Albums on facebook with the new Blackberry Z 10 (PLS HELP!)

Hi, I cannot upload to my existing albums on facebook.  when I upload a picture it just automatically puts it in the moble uploads.  There has to be a way to upload to my existing albums but I have been unable to figure out how.  Please help me:....Thanks!

    Hey jkadam01,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
When uploading a photo in Facebook for BlackBerry it will place it in the mobile uploads folder.  This is by design and my apologies it can not be changed.  You can move the image out of Mobile Uploads by accessing Facebook from a computer browser.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
    Cheers.

  • Trying to share an album on facebook but set up permission keeps crashing

Trying to share an album on facebook. As usual, the pop up asks "Do you want to set up iPhoto to publish to facebook?" - as usual I click "Set Up". As usual, new "window/pop up" opens and asks for facebook password ... I type my password and then it crashes ... can't even click "Log In" ... it just crashes, starts loading the same window again, log-in window crashes again ... It's the first time this happens, I upload albums to facebook all the time!
Anyone facing similar problem? any hints on how to solve it?
    Thanks

Mobile › Mobile: Facebook Mobile Uploads (uploading a mobile photo/video/note to my profile)
How do I upload mobile photos/notes/videos from my phone?
You can use your personalized upload email address to email a photo/video from your mobile phone. The uploaded content will then appear in your Mobile Uploads album. Since this is your personal email address, which will send content directly onto your Facebook account, be sure not to share it with anyone else.
The email subject will be used as the caption of your photo or video, or your updated status if your email contains no photo or video. Note that photos and videos uploaded via email are visible to everyone by default, but you can change the privacy setting of any photo album by going to your Photos page and clicking "Album Privacy."
To see what your personalized upload email is, be sure you are logged into your account, then go to the Facebook Mobile page.

Do you see any error messages/ diagnostics in the Console Window, when you try to connect to Facebook?
Launch a Console window from Applications > Utilities and clear the Console Window. Then try to upload. Are there any new messages?
And also launch a Terminal and have a look, if "facebook.com" is properly resolved:
    Type
    ping facebook.com
into the window. Do you see any transmissions? What is the IP address used?
    I see:

  • Facebook photo upload album list not refreshing

I have a N8 with the latest firmware and software.
When using Nokia Social/Facebook app to upload images, the album list dropdown does not list all my facebook photo albums.  I do not want to upload all my imgaes to the same/default "mobile uploads" folder.  I have tried restarting, refreshing etc, but still only get one or two albums listed - and not the same two every time.
    Anyone have/had the same issue?
    thanks

    I found a fix!!
Try deleting the app. Then on the iPhone go to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website data > scroll to the bottom and tap 'Remove all website data'. Now re-download the Facebook app and see if it works.
It worked for me. Try it.

Did you reinstall CS3 after CC?
For that matter, doing an in-place upgrade on the OS is always a gamble with Adobe programs. Reinstalling all the versions you need, in order, would probably solve your problem.
And you shouldn't need to save as IDML after opening the .inx in CC.

  • Disable Sync for Facebook "Albums"

I'm using Aperture 3.1. I've created and upload several "Facebook Albums" from Aperture. It's always worked great. I've selected the pictures and uploaded. However, I've used the Facebook interface to enter captions for each picture; I have NOT edited the metadata in Aperture.
After uploading a new Facebook album tonight, I closed Aperture and then considerable spent time in Facebook adding captions each picture. When I next start up Aperture, it starting "syncing" several of my Facebook albums, including the one I just entered tonight. This is the first time this has happened (but then, in the past, Aperture has never remembered my Facebook password and I've had to "manually" log in to upload pictures/album).
In syncing, Aperture removed all the caption data in the ablum I had put in via the FB interface (it replaced it with the default version name). I understand that if I had "caption" data in the comment section of the photo's meta data it would use that. But I don't want to put that meta data in there. There are times I want to have different caption data depending on where I publish my pictures, or depending on the "set" I publish.
So my question is, is there a way to turn off "syncing" of "Facebook Albums" in Aperture ? I just want to use Aperture to simply upload a select group of picture to a given Facebook Album.
    TIA,
    John

Aperture will actually only sync. You may want to look as a 3rd party plug-in that offers upload functionality.

  • IPhoto crashes or freezes when I try to upload my album on Facebook

As said in the title, it's a couple of months that it's impossible for me to upload my album on Facebook. The application crashes or freezes without ending the upload process. My OS is 10.7.5 Lion, 2,2 Ghz Intel Core i7, 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3. iPhoto 11, 9.4.2. I already tried deleting the preferences files .plist, deleting my Facebook account (in iPhoto), uninstalling and re-installing iPhoto but nothing to do. I don't think it could be an account problem, because on my brother's Mac i can upload albums with my Facebook account and its iPhoto. Someone can help me?

  • Facebook tags in uploaded album not linked to profile

I saw a lot of threads on this subject but nothing really solved my problem. Also they all seem rather out-dated, so maybe there are some new tricks I don't know of.
I spent hours over hours tagging faces in iPhoto after syncing my facebook account, and when I was finally done, decided to upload to a Facebook album.
90% of the faces, including mine and my wife's, appeared as tags that are not linked to profiles (font is black and you can't link them back to the profile).
    Things I tried:
    1. Manually making sure the e-mail field in each face is "<facebook_user_id>@facebook.com"
    2. Manually tagging a photo in facebook, importing it back to the library, merging the created Facebook face with the other face.
    3. Importing a different Facebook album with tags for most faces I need to the library, merging Facebook faces with non-FB faces.
And all of this didn't help.
I think it might help for future photos I'll upload, but existing ones stay the same.
I really don't want to re-upload the photos (because some people already liked and commented on them), or to re-tag everything (because I spent hours doing so already).
This is so annoying, it makes the whole faces feature + facebook integration on iPhoto pretty much worthless.
Any ideas whatsoever of how I can workaround this issue?

Have you reimported your media following a crash and are the affected tracks in .wav format? These don't carry a tag and on reimport all iTunes picks up is the file name. If you have an older library file that you can restore I have a tool to reconnect the library to the tracks that will have been relocated. Or if everything is on your classic you could try one of the tools in Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

  • IPhoto "quits unexpectedly every time I try to Upload an album to Facebook

I having been unsuccessful in trying to solve a problem I am having with iPhoto.  I take pictures of my son's Basketball team and organize them into an album to upload to Facebook.  In the very beginning of the process of uploading thumbnails, iPhoto quits.  I then get a notice that it quit unexpectedly and is sending a message to Apple about it.  I guess this means that their message box is full because it happens all the time.
In order to get around this, I have tried to upload from Facebook instead; but Facebook has its own quirks, or maybe it is my inexperience, but in uploading photos in this manner, it consistently uploads the photos as if they had never been edited, and even adds photos to the event that had been moved to the trash.
    Thanks

What version of iPhoto are you running on your iMac? This has been an ongoing problem with iPhoto 11 and the only workaround that users have found reliable is to export the photos out of iPhoto to a folder on the Desktop and upload them to Facebook via a browser.

  • IOS 8 - pictures not uploading in safari for facebook and other websites?

IOS 8 - pictures not uploading in safari for facebook and other websites? I just upgraded to IOS 8 on my iPad 3 retina display and when I try to upload pictures in safari for facebook, the picture upload just stalls and never completes. This happens in other sites as well. How can I fix this? Is anyone also experiencing this issue???

Hi Hindhaughlee, <br />Thanks for the post.
This may not be the best place to post such a solution but maybe some users will find it. If it turns out to be a major problem with a simple solution maybe we will manage to document it somewhere.
Are you able to provide more details please:
    * exactly what software and software versions is the problem with ? <br /> You appear to be a Windows 8 user, but presumably the Kaspersky software may be applicable to other Windows versions, which Kaspersky software is this tested with ?
    * What is he exact error message or warning that Kaspersky generates in this situation ?
    * is the problem documented elsewhere, preferably in a public open site, if so maybe you could provide a link
    * can you detail simple but exact detailed Steps To Reproduce that will enable others to test out this problem and solution.
    Cheers

    P.S. <br />
Anyone with this problem finding that the solution works may wish to vote for this thread and solution. Or if someone else can produce links to examples of this or you are able to give precise Steps To Reproduce please add a post of your own.
