Naming of Tracks in Waveburner?

I thought I post this over here since I get much faster response. I am trying to name my Tracks on my CD so they show up on the finished burned CD. Is this possible? If I click on CD Text in WB it does not give me the option to name the individual Tracks. I CAN name them inside WB but that does not show up on the actual CD. Help is appreciated. Thanks.

Did you enter the CD Text info via Select Track -> Disc Menu -> CD Track Info (command-T) and not the CD Text (Disc Options) icon?

  • Naming audio tracks when recording??

Is there a way of naming audio tracks so when you record them the actual name of the track exists in the audio folder??
When you record in an audio track in logic for the first time, it prompts you to name and select where the audio track will be saved. Now whatever tack I record I end up having the same name for ever track..

I did wonder if I should edit my answer with more detail
In the Set Audio Record Path box if you check "Use Audio Object Name For Filename" then the name of whichever track you have selected and and are recording to is used.

  • Naming folders/tracks on hard drive?

Hi. I've had several tracks on my computer from a long time ago that are not properly named (i.e., track name, artist, album). I've renamed once added to itunes, but at various times I've had to reorganize itunes/my computer and each time these tracks are removed from itunes, they lose all of the info that I've laborously entered.
How can I rename the actual folder on my hard drive so that the track information will always be maintained and properly interpreted by itunes, even if removed and returned?
    Thanks.
    Toshiba Satellite   Windows XP

Hey guys... sorry for not replying sooner.
I managed to manually do it myself. To clear things up, I wanted iTunes to look at a files directory and literally clone it in iTunes.
    Referring to my last example,
    Files on my Hard Drive:
    Music
         Hip Hop
              2014
              2013
              2012
         Top 40
              2014
              2013
              2012
The music file has a 'tree type' organization which I wanted to be replicated through iTunes playlist folders.
    So in iTunes, I see
    Music
         Hip Hop
              2014
              2013
              2012
         Top 40
              2014
              2013
              2012
As mentioned before, I just ended up creating playlists folders + playlists myself, and added the tracks through drag-and-drop.

  • Naming Ripped Tracks Randomly

So I got an audiobook that I am attempting to rip from CD to my itunes library. It keeps assigning it completely random track/artist/album names. Sometimes it asks me beforehand if I want to use the things it found and sometimes it just assigns them. Is there anyway to tell it just to leave them unnamed??
I can easily just change artist/album and then just let them be sorted by track number, but if it renames each track name it's a HUGE headache (each of the CDs have 99 short tracks). After sitting down and renaming all 99 tracks back to track 01->track 99 to get one of the discs to play right, I realized about 10 (so far)  of the 30 discs with 99 songs each is picking random names. I *really* don't like the idea of my Pride and Prejudice audiobook tracks having names like "Middle Finga in da Air" and "Thug Girl," but I also don't want to individually edit almost 1,000 tracks.

Well I tried Windows Media Player and it can correctly identify the tracks so I'm just ripping them using that to mp3s and then importing them into my itunes library, and they are named correctly by track number in my library automatically this way, so that's at least a workaround, but being able to use just one program to get a book onto my ipod would be nice, even if unnamed since mass changing artist/album is so easy.

  • How are pre-named software tracks different from 'new' tracks ?

We have these software tracks or audio tracks with names like Percussion , guitar , piano etc......how are these tracks different from a track which we make from menu as a new track ?
Like we have various effect presets in guitar tracks is it so all these pre named tracks have some specific presets assigned ?
or if I'm recording in a midi track it can be any name all the tracks have same parameters and a region will sound same in any of them effectwise ??

All predefined instrument patches are having a set of suitable effects and filters assigned. YOu can see these in the "Info" panel, after you select an instrument your track. Click the "Edit" tab, and you will see, how the predfined patches differ.
For a midi track, the sound generator will differ dependng on the instrument group, and some basic effects will be predefined, like "Compressor". YOu can click the empty bricks to add your own effects.

  • Sound Tracks show up as 2.0 instead of 5.1 and nameing the tracks

    Hi,
I build a DVD / BR with 5.1 ac3 sound which plays fine on our sourround test system, so the sound IS 5.1. But from the information of the BR Player and from a Test Playstation the information says it is a 2.0 audio track.
I'm a bit confused. I exported the ac3 from Premiere via "Export as Blue Ray" Audio only.
    May be I missed something?
The second question: Is it possible to label the tracks in some kind, so that the usual drop down or pop up menues from DVD/BR Players show that there are different audio tracks?
E.g. I do have one 5.1 track with less dynamic for 'Home System' playback and a more dynamic track for cinema / theater playback.
It would be fine to switch to the correct track from the players menu and not have to guess wich one is playing...or do I have to set up a DVD/BR start menue where your can click on the wanted track?
    Thanks and regads.
Using Adobe Encore CS 5 and soon CS6

Hi ... no i used the Dolby Digital checkbox from the "Export Media" -> Media Encoder settings.
    And now I'm realy confused
Should that be 'only' 2channel Stereo so? But why is the surround sound still be played on the 5.1 speakers system in the correct order?
    Whats going on ?
    Thnaks for Help.

  • Gracenote isn't naming the tracks on a CD I want to import

Every time I try to import a CD, Gracenote doesn't name the tracks. I've tried several CD's and tried importing the same CD on a friends computer and it worked fine.
I've checked all the settings in Itunes I know to check here's a list of what I've already done:
I tried to load the Itunes store to see if the firewall on my computer was blocking Itunes. I assume it isn't because I can load the store with no problem
I then went to Edit > Preferences, under preferences i clicked the advanced tab then the importing tag to ensure that the box next to "Automatically retrieve track names from internet" was checked. It was checked already.
When I put the the CD in the drive Itunes says that it's querying gracenote database but it never applies the track names.
I realize that I could simply type the info in but that in reality that isn't a simple task as I have accumulated way too much music for that to be an option.
Any ideas would be much appreciated, thanks

"but I must use something like an FM converter and that requires all songs be in MP3 format."
    No it doesn't.
An FM converter takes audio and sends it over FM to the radio.
A USB stick does not play audio.
You need something to play the audio (like an iPod) and plug the audio out into the FM converter.

  • Re Naming iTunes Tracks From The Store

I bought a couple of tracks yesterday from the iTunes store. I used the copy format so I could put them into "My Music" folder and retag them to the album I wanted. Question is if I delete them from my iTunes library, under the name and album they downloaded under, will the "copies" still be active?
And a question about the iPod itself. I have bought the 160GB Classic and a Power adapter, can I listen to music from the iPod while it's charging from the adapter?

Unfortunately, redownloading of past music purchases isa still in beta test and only available in the US right now.
It's due for everyone this fall.  Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519

If you get lucky, they may be able to authorize another download now.

I've looked everywhere to see how I can write in clearer names for instrument tracks. The problem is that if I'm running 4 tracks for strings--2 violin sections and 2 viola, for example--when I go to the fader window, they all say "strings." • Naming multiple tracks

    Hello!
My apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, or if indeed it is pretty obvious! I have had a root around but no joy...
Here we go - I have many tracks in my library that have messed up names - some are in capitals, some don't have album names... How do i change these without having to do them one by one!? It's driving me nuts!
    Thanks for your time!
    Phip

The album name ones would be fairly straightforward since you'll be putting the same information against multiple tracks but track names are individual and will need to be corrected individually.
To correct blank entries sort your library on the column with blanks you want to fill to bring the blanks together. To select multiple items such as all the songs in an album, click on the first track in the list hold down the shift key and click on the last track to highlight the selection. If you want to change track information right click anywhere in the selection and choose Get Info, you.ll get a dialogue box asking if you want to update multiple items, click Yes. Fill in the field you are interested in and choose ok.

  • Naming Untitled tracks.

I have some compilation Cd's I burned, but when I import them to my itunes library, they come up "track 1", "track 2", Etc. I cant even seem to put them in manually. Any suggestions?

In iTunes, once you copy them to the hard drive you can select each track and press apple key+i. That will give you an info screen where you can fill everything in.
If you want the cd to have that info you'll have to burn a new one after doing this.

  • How do I add track markers and names before I bounce and burn to CD

Hi, I'm fairly new to Logic Pro.
Recorded a live gig recently (on Tascam 2488)
Exported all tracks to Logic Pro, tidied it all up and now have two files, Set 1 and Set 2 ready for bounce and burn (will be two separate CD's)
My question, how do I insert markers that the CD player will recognise?
I split and named the tracks in Logic, but when I bounced and burnt the CD, it is just one track.
    Help please

Use Waveburner for this type of procedure.

  • ITunes wont recognise Audio CD Track format files (No answer in Archive)

I have a 60GB iPod. Have downloaded the latest iTunes and iPod drives. I usually copy all songs on a spare removable mass storage disk drive, and then add the entire folder made up of hundreds and hundreds of songs.
Now. All songs with MPEG format, and the ones that already have names somewhat, as long as it is not named with Track, do get recognized and get applied in iPod. But no songs named Track and a serial number, that is in Audio CD Track format do. They get instantly copied, as they are 1KB each, both in CD and where they are copied. But nothing more than that happens. It wont be played in Windows Media Player neither. I renamed it from Track to anything else, thinking perhaps in an attempt to keep files organised iTunes deliberatly doesnt recognizes them, but that didnt worked also. The songs can be played from the CD, but arent recognized when they are copied on a disk.
How do I put the songs named Track with Audio CD Track format on my iPod. Thanks in advance.

    VMT,
I'm not an expert but will try to help you. From this article I found audible files cannot be burned on MP3 format (at least that's what I think it's saying).

  • Organizing tracks in playlists

I have a ton of audio books (not from iTunes download). when I put them on my iPod classic (80g) then go to play them they are all out of order. I have tried re-naming the track names with 01,02,03... (etc) in front of them, but they are still off. Is there a way to make it sort right?
Also on a similar note. is there a way to make podcasts play from the oldest entry to the newest one? instead of new to old?

I have tried some experiments on my computer at work.
I have found that if you copy the library, and re link it to the new copied folder (in the advanced preferences), it doesn't seem to do anything.
After doing this I restarted iTunes, selected a song and hit "show in finder" and it was the same local location it started in!
Then I learned about holding option down while you open iTunes lets you choose a library. I figured this might be what I was looking for. I chose the new external iTunes folder aaand..... nothing; when I reveal a song in the Finder, it still shows me they are in the original location.
Then I added an extra step. I went to File>Library>Organize Library and checked "Consolidate files" which says it puts copies of media files used by iTunes in the iTunes Media folder. That sounds pretty good; if I've already moved those files there iTunes will surely see them in the new location and make the connection without needing to copy any files.... Not the case. iTunes literally added a duplicate to every single mp3 in my Library (really glad I didn't try this on my real library! what a mess!)
My next idea is doing this same process, but I'll direct iTunes to an empty folder on the external drive. Hopefully when I "Consolidate files" it will do it's copying process and work fine.
I much would prefer copying the files myself, however, for a couple of reasons. One is that I've already done the 18 hour file transfer using Carbon Copy Cloner. The other reason is that OSX is notorious with copying large amounts of files; almost every time I copy a large amount of data, OSX gets upset by some minor problem or a file that it doesn't like and it quits the whole process. I guess I'll go through these steps and let iTunes copy the data itself, and if that doesn't work I'll go to the genius bar.
Basically a lot of work and stress for moving a simple folder.
