Nano(4GB) stuffed!! No tunes will load, "do not disconnect" wont dissapear!

Please help! Could someone please explain to me, step by step, how to fix the following problem:
I accidently plugged my nano into a pc with shuffles software and that erased everything I had on my ipod. Now when my nano's plugged into the correct pc with correct software, I still cant load tunes as the "do not disconnect" screen wont dissapear.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!

I'm a bit confused....are you manually syncing or
autosyncing? I ask because you talk about not being
able to load music because the "do not disconnect"
message doesn't go away. Assuming your iPod is
showing in iTunes, that message doesn't prevent you
from adding music. If you are manually syncing it
won't go away until you eject the iPod.
Downloading Music &/or Video to Your iPod
Look at this tutorial. Scroll to the lower portion of
the page (or watch the video tutorial) to see the was
to autosync iPod or manually manage it.

I disconnected my nano from the computer when it said "do not disconnect" it is now frozen and will not do anything ..any suggestions?

I disconnected my nano from my computer when it stated "do not disconnect" and now my ipod is frozen. it shows that the hold button is on and that it is now playing a song and the back light remains on. If I try to reconnect to my computer, itunes does not find the nano nor does my computer. I tired to restart but nothing happens. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Nano with Album art, fancy dock and "Do Not Disconnect"

Has anybody figured out if you can get rid of the Do Not Disconnect display when using the iPod with USB connect playback in manual update mod? I have a really nice dock at work and would like to see what is playing through my computer on the Nano, instead of DO NOT DISCONNECT.

What are you playing your music from? The computer or the Nano? You can eject your iPod and just have it charge from the USB connector, but you won't be able to access the Nano unless you reconnect the USB cable again.

Cant open itunes on system, will load but not open!

Every time I try to open itunes on my computer windows says it has encountered a problem and has to close itunes. I have tryed to uninstall and reinstall it both from the web site and the disk. I have tryed to dissable my McAfee virus protection. I have backed up all of my music and unloaded all of my itunes and ipode applications and folders and tryed to reload just itunes. I have called microsoft and they say it is a dell or itunes problem. I have called dell and they say it is a itunes problem, I called apple and they sent me two emails of whitch I followed to tee, I have scanned for viruses, I have scaned for spyware, and I am stumped. My system recognizes itunes in my programs and I can find all itune applications when loaded but it will not open, help!

I purchased an itune. It has me Authorize and I do and it keeps coming back saying Authorize again. My other tunes will play but not that one? Help from anyone would be great.

Could I have damage from a virus? My anti virus program recently found and eliminated an infection; and no further infection is turning up in scans. However, some files have been placed in the safe virus lockup chest. None appear to be necessary files for operation, but I am not sure.

You can try to reset (power off/on) the router.

When will the "Do not disconnect" message stop?

I have been charging my new iPod for over 6 hours. The manual says it only needs to charge for about 4. The icon states that the iPod is charged, but the message still says "Do not disconnect," and the manual says not to disconnect until the sign goes away. Is my iPod malfunctioning?

you need to go into itunes and click the eject button. i don't do that anyway. for me, as long as the activity circle is not there, i just pull it out.

Nano Do Not Disconnect!

Having problems with Do Not Disconnect, as soon as I connect my Nano to the computer it goes into Do Not Disconnect. iTunes pops up and says that update is completed, but Do Not Disconnect never goes away. Been using the Nano for months now and this problem just started. Tried repairing itunes, tried resetting the ipod, have already completed the update as well. Noticed problem after trying to manual add and remove songs off ipod (which I never got to work), have switch setting back to automatic update songs and still having problems. I have ejected ipod for in itunes, but still shows Do Not Disconnect. I have also restarted my computer several times with no luck. What am I doing wrong?

Okay so I guess my problem is not with the Do Not Disconnect screen, but with not being able to remove songs from my ipod. I tried selecting manully update songs and them unchecking the songs I did not want on my ipod, but when I do this and hit update it ups dates real quickly and nothing I deselected is removed from my ipod. Am I trying to remove songs from my ipod the wrong way? Don't want to delete the song from my library just want to remove from the ipod until i want to load it back on again. Help!

I would first try resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Next would be to restore the iPod from backup

Try outputting it as a MP4 or M4V
If Final Cut won't output it, Mpegstreamclip will convert it. So will Quicktime if you have the pro version.

i loaded my ipod nano 4gb on my puter and i wanted this song off my mate. he has a mac so i coneced it and i started loading his sond off itunes and im like ok the it said my ipod crashed. so i went home and pluged it into my puter and i went into itunes and i looked where your i pod pops up but it wasnt there. so i went into my computer and cliked on it then my puter half froze cause i cliked on it.

Hi Tom. First, since you use a PC and your mate uses a MAC your ipod was either going to have to be formatted for use on a MAC or for the PC. Unless I am mistaken you can't switch back and forth without reformatting. I guess since someone else will likely point this out, you also were trying to do something considered illegal file sharing by taking music from your mate for your own use.
