Nano doesn't display artworks

Hi, u lot, i'm new in here and I have recently purchased a iPod Nano, and have tested it. Now, I'm trouble shooting with a problem, when in the iTunes I put to use a artwork, it appears, then I activate as told to do so in the User's manual, and I transfer my songs to nano. Everything works perfect, however I'd like to be able to use the Artwork display while my song is going on, so I can see the cover of the album is currently on. I don't have any more problems with nano, I think is one of the best Mp3 players, and not only mp3, also mp4. That's all for now. Thanks for your attention. Sorry about my English, I know it's a disaster, but I try to do my best as I'm spanish. CUl8R

Here's a little bug that I found out about a few days ago that will work for you. This is a Bug, so use at your own risk. The most I have had to do is reset my Nano when using this, but it could end up being different for you.
First, start playing a song that has art work on it.
Then, go to the Main Menu where you can select "Now Playing".
Now, this is where you need to get ready. When you click Now Playing, you need to immediately click the center button of the click wheel twice, then menu, and then the center button again.
This will result in the album artwork being displayed permanently in the full screen as long as the song is playing.
To remove the full display of the picture, simply click the center button a few times until it is gone.
If that does not work, you should reset your Nano.
Remember, use at your own risk.

  • ITunes 7 doesn't display artwork of currently playing song

Minor annoyance, it was working correctly for a while but now instead of displaying the artwork for the song that is playing, it displays that for the song that is currently selected. Any ideas as to why?

I guess the Artwork pane is set to 'Selected Item'.
Click on the text 'Selected Item' to change it to 'Now Playing'.
    Hope this helps.

  • Some artwork doesn't display

I am using windows and iTunes.
I have been downloading my cds to my iTunes, but some of the artwork isn't displaying.
After downloading the music, I click on "Get Album Artwork".  Sometimes it works, other times not.  Not a big deal.
When it doesn't work, I go online and download the artwork and save it to my IrfanView software.  I am able to add more artwork this way.
However, there are some albums I have that aren't accepting the artwork.
    I take the following steps:
    1)  Once the pic is saved to my IrfanView, I right-click on Get Info/Artwork/Add Artwork, which opens my IrfanView files.  I open the file and the artwork shows up on the iTunes Artwork pop up.  Everything works fine to this point.
    2) Once I click on "OK", the pop up box goes away, but the artwork doesn't upload the pic into the "Artwork" display box in iTunes.
(This is as far as I get with some artwork I try to add.  Notice the Tattoo You artwork made it all the way to the pop up box.  These same steps have worked for several other albums though.)
Notice the same happened to my Frank Sinatra.
I have tried taking the same steps when I highlight the entire album as well as trying other options.  The files are jpeg file.
There was a suggestion in another post to click on "View" "Show Artwork" or "Display Artwork", but I don't have that option under the "View" heading.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

There are three cases where artwork is not correctly associated with or embedded in your media files:
your media are in a format that doesn't accommodate embedded artwork - typically WAV files.  To embed artwork you'll need to convert to another format - Apple Lossless or AIFF if you want to preserve lossless quality, AAC or MP3 otherwise.
your media files are read only - to fix this, use Windows Explorer to find the folder that contains your files, right-click and select Properties.  On the General tab there's a check box labeled "Read-only" - if this is checked, or is grey (sometimes blue), click the box so that the flag is unchecked and the box is white.  Click OK, and then OK again when the "Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files" option selected.  Now try adding the artwork again.
Windows permissions issues are preventing iTunes from updating your media files (there's some anecdotal evidence of a change in this behavior in iTunes 12).  See turingtest2's notes on Repair security permissions for iTunes for Windows for advice on fixing this, then try adding the artwork again.

  • Artwork doesn't display...

I got a problem after the last update. I have an iMac and a MB with a synchronized iTunes database and files, in iMac when I’m browsing the albums and I select one album, the artwork doesn’t display in the bottom left corner, the album display only if I select to listen a song. In my MB everything is right I select an album (single click) the album display correctly. Any idea about this?

Hi. I've just bought an iPod Classic and transferred all my albums (600 or so) from my old Creative. It picked up about half the album sleeves. On the Creative, I also had one genre, "music" and the iPod has created about a million genres. It's also mixed up some compilations.
So, no probs: I work out what Ctrl I does and try to change thge genres / import album sleeves / tidy up compilations.
However: nothing happens. The best I can say is that it's like it's read only, and won't let me do anything. Any ideas?
Just so you know: I'm doing this on the PC in iTunes with the iPod disconnected.
I have highlighted all the tracks on an album to change genre, ticked the box, tried adding "album artist" but as soon as I press ok, nothing happens.
With the album sleeves, I downloaded an image from Amazon, highlighted all the tracks and pressed Ctrl I, then dragged the image into the box. The image appears in the box, but when I press OK nothing happens. I also tried dragging the image to the box in the iTunes screen where there's a musical note. I get the "no entry" sign on the cursor saying it's not allowed.

  • Nano 4G doesn't display complete notes files

Nano 4th gen with 8GB doesn't display a complete notes file if it's larger than 7K or 8K. Is there a fix or workaround?

The iPod will only display the first 4kB.

  • Movie video artwork doesn't display properly on iPad video app

I have seen the discussion around the problems / solutions regarding the proper displaying of TV shows on the iPad when accessing a shared library, but my problem is with Movie files. The artwork does not display properly. Sometimes the artwork from one movie will be duplicated onto another movie, or they will be all switched around. I have both iTunes purchased movies and converted backups of from my DVD library.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I have tried many things. While I see changes in the displayed artwork, they are generally messed up in one way or another on the iPad when accessing the shared library on my computer.

Curiously enough, if I click on a movie from the shared library on the iPad, the correct artwork shows on the right sight of the window that let's you play the movie or navigate to a chapter. When I go back to the menu screen for all the movies in the shared library, the artwork is still wrong.
Artwork is messed up even for home-created movies - one of them shows a preview screenshot of the Warner Brothers logo instead of the picture I have in the Artwork setting in iTunes.

  • My Album Artwork doesn't display?

I am not sure what's going on, but my iPod classic doesn't display album art any longer.  It always has in the past.  I am not sure how long it hasn't displayed.  I just noticed the issue.  Any ideas out there?

Why don't you, instead of taking time to do that, just backup, and then restore your iPod?
    Just a suggestion..

If you select multiple songs and choose Get Info, the Album Art box will always be blank, even if the individual songs each have the same common Art. This is expected behavior.
Copying the Art directly to the iPod will never work. If your iTunes displays the Art fine, and the nano doesn't, your problem is likely to be a firmware issue with the iPod. I would suggest performing a "restore" and then try again. Otherwise, if issues remain, reinstall iTunes if more than one XP user is affected.

  • Doesn't display album covers for individually selected songs.  Why?

I just synced up my new iPod Classic and am surprised that it doesn't display album covers when I individually select songs or when it shuffles songs. The artwork is there - it displays them in Cover Flow or when I select songs from the Album list, but not when I select songs from the Song list or when it shuffles.  Why not?  Is there a setting I need to fix?

    You're adding the artwork incorrectly.
Instead of selecting the first track of the album, select the complete album. Then select File/Get Info and answer "yes" to the "multpile items" question. The Artwork box is now on the Info tab instead of its own tab. Paste the artwork into that one box and that will add it to the whole album.
I can't be precise about the detail, but as far as I know, there will be one piece of artwork and iTunes and your iPod will refer to that one picture for each track, so it will not be taking up extra storage space.
Pasting the artwork into each track individually will drive you crazy - and I suspect it will take up extra space.
(If fellow "discussions user" tt2 adds to this post, I'm pretty sure he will confirm {or not if I'm wrong} what I've said about the extra space used if you paste into each track individually.)

  • Intranet Doesn't Display Everything

We have a couple of PCs that doesn't display everything on our intranet page. It doesn't matter who logs in, it does it for everyone. When I open the intranet, it libraries on the left like normal but the middle only shows Announcements, not our picture and Quick Links. Also, the links on the right side of the page only show a handful of the links we have. If the user clicks on the Home link above the libraries, it reloads and displays the page normally. Why would this only happen on select PCs, no matter who is logging in. This is SharePoint 2010 on SBS 2011.

  • Ipod nano does not display the picture covers

Hello, I have a 2nd generation nano. I used to "associate" a picture (the album cover) with the song files in itunes and they were displayed in the Nano.
Suddenly the nano stopped to display the pics. I deleted all the songs and put them again and I reseted the nano and now even the old files are not displaying the pictures, although itunes displays them correctly.
I hope I didn't mess too much with the explanation. sorry.
Does anybody know how can I see the covers again?
    Thank you.

If you are using iTunes from version 7 onwards, then when you connect the iPod the summary screen should automatically open.
If you click on the 'music' tab, you will see the option to:
"display album artwork on your iPod".
    Make sure it's still selected.

  • My nano doesn't work, cannot be find in Windows and itunes. please help!

Before it doesn't work, I am charging the battery.
But when I am about to disconnect it from the systme, Windows prompted "can't be disconnected", I tried several times, the same prompts. So I shut off the computer, but the nano doesn't work.
I have tried the 5-R steps, nothing changed.
there's only the picture of a file folder with an exclamation point comes up, and on the bottom it has apples support website, alternating with a apple logo.
The worst thing is that I cannot find my nano in the explorer, so I cannot restore/update or format it.
BTW, I have disconnected the nano from all power sources and left it disconnected for about 24 hours, reconnect to the USB port, a battery displayed on the screen, but for about 20s, display the the picture of a file folder aggain.
    Please help!

  • How to auto display artwork?

I humbly apologize if this question has been asked and answered here before, but a search did not turned up any hits.
Could someone please tell me how to setup iTunes to display ALL album artwork automatically. It's a pain to having to go thru each and every album in your library to set them up one x one, this is especially true if you have a very large library.

You can select multiple albums (up to your entire library, if you wish), right-click and select Get Album Artwork.  This will retrieve artwork automatically for all albums that are available in the iTunes Store (matched by Artist and Title - note that sometimes iTunes will fail to retrieve artwork if the metadata doesn't match, or in some cases will retrieve the wrong artwork).  For everything that doesn't acquire artwork this way, there is (unfortunately) no method to add artwork other that finding or scanning correct images and adding them one album at a time.
