Nano doesnt hold right amount of songs

i have had my nano since march of this year and this is and it works great it just doesnt hold the right amoun of songs it is a 2GB black nano and it is suposed to hold 500 songs put it only holds in the low 400s how can i fix this any help at all would be great

My guess is there's nothing wrong with your Nano at all.
Apple only estimates that you can fit 500 songs on a 2GB Nano.
That estimate is based on all of those tracks being 128kbps AAC files of 4 minutes each, without artwork or lyrics.
If your songs are longe than 4 minutes each or encoded at a higher bitrate than 128kbps... then you'll fit less than the estimated 500 tracks.

Two Windows scripts to make playlists of Duplicates and Exact Duplicates. Use shift-delete to remove selected tracks from the library as well as the playlist.

That depends on a number of variables including how long the songs are and the quality of the format.
A 4 minute song downloaded from iTunes (256k format) is 8MB. That would give you about 1,625 songs if you had nothing else on the Nano.

Apple logo and menu no longer come up when turning on my 2nd gen nano. However, if I just hit the right buttons the songs play and it runs normally. On occasion the logo and menu come on but it is now in chinese. Should I restore or Junk?

How do you select an amount of songs at one time because i need to change my Mp3 tags ( the bands name soo its all the same) =]Help?

in order for this to work all the songs you want to change have to be right next to eachother in a list, one after the other.
Select the first song you want to change. (it will be hilighted in blue)
Hold down the shift key
without letting up the shift key click the last song you wish to change. (any songs betwwen these to songs are now blue also)
right click the blue patch of screen and click "get info"
edit the feilds you wish to change, and click ok.

My iPod Nano gets full with only 14 songs???

Hi all
a couple of days ago I got my new 1GB iPod Nano.
Now, the 1GB Nano is supposed to hold up to 240 songs.
Right?
But what happens with mine is that it gets very quickly filled up and I can’t update it through iTunes!
I tried many things, I even restored it but the problem hasn’t be solved.
Right now, if I go to "settings" "about" it says:
songs 14
photos 0
capacity 892MB
available 188 KB
version 1.1.1
how is this possible?
only 14 songs imported and just 188KB of free space left???
Sorry if this question is naive but I am a newbie to iPods so your help would be much appreciated.

It's probably because you have the import settings and bitrate set wrong. Look in iTunes under edit/preferences/importing. What does it say in settings and import using? You need to compress your music using either mp3 or aac. If you see AIFF, WAV or Apple Lossless then those formats are going to take way more space than mp3 or aac, especially the first 2 which are raw uncompressed formats. Bear in mind that Apple quotes the number of songs you are able to store on any iPod by using aac at 128kbps for a 4 minute song.

I have an iPod mini and a nano and I'd like to use them both on the same system. I know the mini holds more songs than my 2gb nano so I was wondering if there was a way to limit the amount of songs that I can put into iTunes so I can have an equal amount of songs on both iPods, up to the 500 limit of the nano or would I just have to create seperate playlists? Thanks.

Making a few Smart playlists can help you solve the problem.
You can limit the number of songs, MB, GB etc. by checking 'limit to'.

I tired copying all the .dll files to the itunes folder didn't help

I cannot address the sync services error right now, but the error that you receive when you change from sync to manually manage music is what happens when you change. Once you change to manually manage music, it erases all of the music and will only put the music that you want on the phone, content that you manually drag over to it. Unequal amount of songs on ipod compared to Mac iTunes

I have an old 10g ipod (click wheel) v 1.5
The total number that appears on amount of songs on the ipod does not equal the total amount of songs on iTunes.
I don't believe I have anything activated to possibly skip a song (ie I dont have "update checked songs only" on)
yet it says:
iPod 1003
iTunes 1004
I still have plenty of room on the memory to hold more songs.
Suggestions? Solutions?

From the count, you might think that you have one more song in iTunes. Easy to find it. Erase the iPod and automatically sync with iTunes.
But having "about" the same, doesn't mean that all 1003 iPod songs are in iTunes. So this is what you do:
1. Connect your iPod to itunes.
Select the iTunes Library and select all [command]A
2. Paste the results into a spreadsheet. (Should take 7 columns.) While the whole paste is still selected in the spreadsheet, sort on column A.
3. Select the iPod, do a select all, copy and paste that a column over from the first listing (i.e.select cell 1H), leaving a blank column in the middle. (Should take 6 columns.) While the whole paste is still selected in the spreadsheet, sort on column H. Now both libraries should be matched up, sorted by title.
4. In the column between - column G - put the formula =IF(A1=H1,"OK","Missing"). Copy that formula down the entire column to row 1004.
5. Scan down column G until it starts saying "missing" - there's your missing song.

Make sure your iPod is completely flat.
Then charge it fully. (zero to 100% non-stop)
When it goes flat again, leave it alone for a few days.
Then charge it fully again.
Do this a couple of times
This kind of gives the battery a boost.

You don't need to upgrade your software. But if you're struggling with Spry, IMO you should cut your losses and switch to something better for the longrun.
If you have a budget to work with, I highly recommend Project Seven's Pop-Menu Magic 3. It's easy to use in DW CS4, 5, 6 or CC. More importantly, it's bullet proof and works in all devices.

I have an issue, is there any impact to change the withholding tax base amount 20% instead of 10%.When I change the base amount to 20% and post a document system return error message
