Nano pictures to pc

hi there
i bought a new ipod nano one week ago and so far, no problems. its been great to me. I have an iMac at home in which i have transfered music and pictures to my nano but i'm trying to transfer these pictures only, to a PC but i'm having some trouble.
the PC recognizes that the ipod is connected and when I open up My Computer, an E: Drive shows up as Removable Disk. So far, so good. But when I try to open it up, it asks me if I want to format the drive. I'm no computer whiz but I'm under the impression that if I click "yes" that it might erase everything on my ipod.
Do I need iTunes in order to transfer these pictures over or is there another procedure?
I appreciate any help.

I had this problem until today actually, except with music. I had all the music from my computer on my iPod. I then changed computer, and had no music on my new one. If i tried to sync my iPod, all my music and pictures would be erased, so i used a software called Yamipod, which allowed me to transfer all my music from my iPod to my new computer. This may work with your pictures aswell.
If not, search for similar software that may do it for pictures aswell, there are loads of these software packages available. =].

  • IPod nano Tubes, in stock Tuesday.

Ive noticed all the craziness about the lack of nano Tubes.
Good news for you in the UK (or the rest of the world, but face a shipping cost).
The nano Tubes are expected in stock on October 4th from http://www.essentialipod.co.uk/product.php?xProd=1869&xSec=35>Essential iPod
Of course i will post a review if i get them next week, but if they are delayed any longer i will most likely get the zCover for iPod nano.

They dont appear to be Official Apple nano Tubes. The company looks to have used the same screen shown on nano pictures on their tubes.
Still, even though they are ''not real'' Apple nano Tubes, they look great and if they do the job then there is no need to compalin.
Emma, what did the box look like that they came in. If it looked to be an Apple branded box, they may be counterfit and not just a similar design.

  • Corprate ID For Ipod Nano

Hi , I am studying Graphic at my secondary school in the uk , i have chosen to look at corporate identity of Apples 2nd gen nano.
I didnt know where to ask and i couldn't find contact details for apple .
So i was wondering if some of you people could help me out on a presentation pack i will be creating , all i need is information on the ipod nano ( like dimensions. functions. sale information etc.) since im creating a A3 Presentation pack and thought i could include a business card and letterhead . but the brochure it self will have the new nano theme.
I was thinking a A3 sheet ( two side folder and meet in the middle to create a booklet type effect ) with the nano in the middle on the front with the swishy trail effects ( either neon red green blue white)randomly in the background (black)( like on the advert and a hold for the newsletter and business card ( like a flap , if you know what type of presentation pack i mean ?)
So to clear things up because im not great with my gramma or spelling.
    Brochure
    Front
    picture of nano
    backgrounds with trail effect
    Left side (opened)
    Information about apple the company
    Middle
    Information on the nano
Picture of the nano with dimensions
Picture of a graph for sale or alike
    Information on sales
information on technology the nano has
Information on changes between 1st and 2nd gen
    Right side
    Overall function
    Pictures of head phones
    Screen
    Nano
If you know any sources i could use that would be really appreciated

When I called the Apple Store to ask about this, the staff told me there wasn't an upgrade offer for trading your Mini for the Nano.

  • Ipod Photo Not syncing

    Hello,
I've tried to run a search trough the FAQ's and the threads here and have not come across an answer.
I'm trying to put some photos on my Ipod Nano 4Gb. I have about 30mb of space and the photos only take up about 1mb.
I'm using Windows and the latest Itunes software and just updated the nano firmware today. I've checked off the photos folder i want to sync with. however everytime i hit Update Ipod. It never adds any of my photos.
I manually put my music on my Nano. (i have 20 gb+ of music)
    Ideas?

First you plug it in. In iTunes, your iPod's name will come up on the left side, and a fourth little box will pop up on the bottom right side of the screen....follow me?.......
Next, you click that new little box on the bottom right (looks like a tiny iPod).....on the very top of the new window that opens, click the tab "iPod". A second set of tabs appears. Click "Photos".
Now, open a new window that has "My Pictures" in it. Create a "new folder" that has every picture you wish to add to your nano in it. Remember where it is and the name of it.
Go back to iTunes (where you are under the "Photos" tab.)
Check this box - "Synchronize photos from:"
Click the arrow down and select "Choose folder..."
Choose that folder that holds all the nano pictures. The one you were supposed to remember. Click "OK".
Check this box - "Copy all photos"
    Click "OK".
Now your back on the regular iTunes page.
Wait just a minute, then look at the bottom right side of the screen, above those 4 little boxes.
    Mine says "8 photos".
It should tell you however many photos are in your iPod....
    Now, disconnect your Nano.
Click Photos on your iPod.....and there you go!!!.....they should be right there on your Nano.

  • I have a new 16g nano and I have only added about 600 songs and I only have less than a gig left of space.  It says I have used over 9G of other.  I have no movies, pictures, tv shows or anything else on it.  How do I find out what the "other" is?

I have a new 16g nano.  I have only added about 600 songs so far.  It is telling me that I 4.47G of songs and 9.92G of other and only 3.297MB of space left.  I have no tvshows, no movies, no pictures on the Ipod.  How do I find out what the "other" is and get rid of it?

You most likely have some corrupted files in other. Restore it and resync.

  • Hi, Can Some One Please Help Me With Deleting Pictures Off My iPod Nano?

Hi, can somebody please tell me how to delete all the pictures off my iPod nano? I accendenty transfered them all and I dont know how to get rid of them. Thanks
      Windows XP

I'm not sure about what you see in ITunes in XP, but this is how you do it in OSX.
Open ITunes, connect your Nano. Click on the Nano and then Preferences (it's a drop under "ITunes"). Click on IPod, then Photos. UN-CLICK " Auto-Synchronize" and you should get a pop-up that ask if you wish to remove photos from your IPod. Click "Yes"and you are done. It worked for me.

  • Nano and contacts and pictures

    hello,
q.1 - i put the contacts on my nano - thourgh outlook - but now i want to delete a contact or two and don't know how.
q.2 - ias stated i put contacts and pictures in my nano, but i can't see the "folder" when openning itunes (i guess it can't be seen threw it.
q.3 - the instructions on this site say you can drag contacts and pictures but i don't kow how.
    thanx

You need to remove them from the folder you are updating pictures from.
If you want to stop updating all pictures, connect the iPod and go to edit-->preferences when it appears in iTunes. Click the iPod tab. Click the photos tab under that. Uncheck synrhonize photos from. Click OK.
I have my photo library organized on my computer, and didn't want to change it for the iPod. So, I created a folder called "iPod Pics." Under the photo preferences for the iPod, I told iTunes to sync from there. I just put in and remove photos that I want for my iPod there. This way, I don't need to edit the My Pictures folder just for my iPod.

  • Pictures in iPhoto not syncing with 3rd gen Nano

Hi, I posted this in the iPod discussions area also but thought someone here may have the answer.
Hi all. When I go to sync pictures in iPhoto to my 4gig 3rd gen Nano, not all the picture are recognized. One album with 30 pics in it, only 3 are synced. this is happening in iTunes even before I hit the sync button. I have 1650 pictures in the total library but only 1495 are seen by iTunes and the Nano. Any thoughts ? thanks in advance.

    I confirm this problem.
Since I have a iPod Classic and for a few days a iPod nano 3rd gen, I can pre-sets station on the 80GB and not on the nano.
I suspect that the problem is not coming from the radio accessory but the nano.

  • How do I get old pictures off of my Ipod nano 4th generation? I don't care to save them, I just want them off.

I've had the Ipod for a while (by 4th generation, I figured you could tell), and I just want to get the pictures off of it so I have more space for music. I can't figure out how to do so, so any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hello Bekahl,
It sounds like you have photos on your iPod nano that you would like to remove. These pictures would have had to have been synced over through iTunes from a folder on your computer. This article outlines how to sync photos to your device, but you can also use it to disable photo syncing and remove them as well:
    iTunes: Syncing photos
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4236
To delete synced photos and videos from your device
In iTunes, click the Device button in the upper right corner. (If viewing the iTunes Store, click the Library button in the upper-right corner first.)
Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
Note: To delete all synced photos, deselect "Sync Photos from" and, when asked, click "Remove photos."
    Click Apply.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,
    Sterling

  • HOW TO DOWNLOAD PICTURES INTO NANO?

Click on Nano options button (lower right). On one of the tabs is Photo option. Select a directory on your computer to sync to. Adding more or removing photos are uploaded or deleted on every sync.
This is also in the manual if you installed the users guide from the install CD.

  • How to move all music files and pictures from Ipod nano to a new Windows computer that was not backed up on an external harddrive, only found on my ipod.

My windows lap top was recently destroyed to the point of no recovery.
All of my music and picture files are still located on my ipod and I plan on getting a new windows laptop
Is there anyway that I can transfer my (unpurchased) music files and pictures from my ipod nano to my new computer?
The pictures are more important that the music, so if only one is possible, I would prefer that
I appreciate any ones helpful comments

Copy the iTunes library from your backup as below:
iTunes: How to move [or copy] your music to a new computer [or another drive] - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings:  Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive.  Start iTunes with the option (shift on Windows) key held down and guide it to the new location of the library.
    Sync with the restored library.

  • Problems putting pictures on my Nano.

I've had my nano for a few months now and just recently wanted to put pictures on it. I'm pretty good with computers so I just did what looked right at first. It optimized the pictures for my ipod but they don't show up. So then I got out the booklet and did it how apple tells you to. They don't show up. When I update my ipod, the pictures optimize and I don't get any messages saying I don't have enough room. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

    Update your nano:
    http://www.apple.com/ipod/download.
    If that doesn't work:
Are you sure you're doing this correctly?
    1. Plug in iPod, let it update, etc.
    2. Edit>Preferences>iPod>Photos.
2.a. Synchronize From..., then choose a folder.
Every time you update your iPod nano it should update with the pictures.
So if you followed the correct procedures, then either the pictures are too big, in a strange format, or you didn't upload correctly...
    Hope this helped
