Nano Plus 1GB-- Cant play more than 30 songs

I have tried drag and drop it recognizes all songs when attached to my pc, but when I disconnect from pc the songs are not there. Help me thanks.....

What format are the songs in? What file structure are you using? Try deleting the files on the player, creating some folders in the root, then moving songs into the folders on the player.

  • Play more than one song at a time

The apple tv won't play more than one song on my playlist. And why can't there be playlists under "Music" and well as "Computer"?

This has been a condition since day one.  The "working" icon just keeps going and it doesn't move on to the next song.  I've tried using the random play option as well to no avail.
Is this when trying to stream content from iTunes using the Computers icons and Music submenu? I assume  the same happens when you try to play from the internet using the main Music icon too?  Is it only on Shuffle or when playing an album?
What about movie rentals from itunes Store  - will they play ok?
    WLFehrs wrote:
Connectivity isn't a problem, my home network has the latest tech and the Apple TV is within 15 feet anyway.
While that seems logical don't entirely discount it - issues like this are incredibly frustrating to pin down to which component on the network is causing the problem  - your old AppleTV worked (with Windows 8?) so this makes the newer model the more likely culprit I would agree.
Whenever there are issues like this, if you have not done so:
1 - Unpower AppleTV, router and restart along with the computer.
2 - If connecting via wifi and it is feasible to test with ethernet do so to exclude wifi as the problem somewhere in the chain.
3 - If streaming from iTunes check the computer is not going to sleep - power saving with hard drives spinning down could potentially cause a 'timeout' issue for access and worth temporarily disabling to test.
4 - Temporarily disable any security software (firewall/port blocking) on the computer or check if it is detecting AppleTV repeated connections as an unknown intrusion threat.
5 - Reset AppleTV and set it up again from the Settings menu.
6 - Restore AppleTV using iTunes and a microUSB to USB connection:
Apple TV (2nd and 3rd generation): Restoring your Apple TV
7 - Assuming under warranty, take it to an Apple store and see if you can get a replacement.  It may be faulty.
As I said these issues can be very tricky to pin down and it can be a process of elimination.
I had issues last year with connection problems - I thought it was an itunes update as there were threads elsewhere about multiple connections being established.  One day I restarted my router and the problem was fixed.  A few years ago my AppleTV1s were hanging after extended use - it was the Netgear router overheating ( aknown fault with that particular model).

  • ITunes will no longer play more than one song in a row

I upgraded my iTunes and it seemed to be working fine. But all of a sudden I cannot get my libraray or any playlist ti play more than one song at a time automatically. It just stops after each song. Any ideas?
    Thanks

But all of a sudden I cannot get my libraray or any playlist ti play more than one song at a time automatically. It just stops after each song.
head into your itunes main library window. are all the little boxes to the left of your tracks unchecked?
is so, hold down Ctrl and click on one of those boxes to recheck all the songs. (this may take a little time.)
do you get continuous play once all the songs are rechecked?

  • Unable to play more than 1 song at a time

I have been using iTunes on my desktop for years without much trouble. I usually place it on shuffle and let it go. Suddenly, today I am unable to play anything more than 1 song at a time. It no longer will go on to the next song either in shuffle or continuous play. Using the forward or backward button does not work, either. I have to select a song one at a time.
I don't know if this thing is really screwed up or if somebody in the house changed a setting that I just can't figure out.

Did you by any chance uncheck the the boxes beside any or all of the songs in the library? Unchecked songs won't play in a playlist or the library unless you select them individually: iTunes: Understanding the Symbols Next to Songs
Holding down the Control key and clicking the checkbox next to a song in the library or a playlist will toggle the marks for all the songs on or off: : iTunes 7 Keyboard Shortcuts for Windows

  • Ipod mini cant take more than 20 songs

About 2 versions of itunes ago my ipod mini stopped being able to take more than 20-30 songs. I do not synch my mini as it can't hold all the songs I have in itunes. But when I try to drag songs it won't take as much as it used to. I've restored 6 or 7 times and it seems to get worst. I can drag one song at a time but around the tenth it copies really slow and by the time I get to the 20th it just hangs on copying and i have to force quit.
I have an old mini from 3 years ago. It's never been dropped or anything like that. Any thoughts?

When iPod Mini is ON Hold down the center and menu button. When you see the apple you will need to hold the center button and the play/pause button! Here are apple's steps! Then restore you iPod Mini
Learn how to manually put iPod into Disk Mode.
When troubleshooting an issue with your iPod, it's sometimes helpful to manually put it into Disk Mode. Read the instructions below for iPods that have a Click Wheel. If you're not sure if your iPod has a Click Wheel, click here. In order to return it to its normal operating state, you will have to reset iPod. The instructions in this article do not apply to iPod shuffle models.
Putting iPods with a Click Wheel into disk mode
Before placing the iPod into disk mode, you should verify that it is charged.
Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Set it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for at least 6 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
When the Apple logo appears, release the Menu and Select buttons and immediately press and hold the Select and the Play/Pause buttons until the Disk Mode screen appears.
Connect the iPod to your computer; the screen on the iPod will change and say "Do not disconnect"
If you are having difficulty putting the iPod model into disk mode, set it on a flat surface. Make sure that the finger pressing the Select button is not touching the Click Wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Play/Pause button toward the outside of the Click Wheel and not near the center.
If you are still unable to put your iPod with a Click Wheel into Disk Mode, use one finger from one hand to press the Select button, and one finger from the other hand to press the Play/Pause button.
If you have an older iPod model without a Click Wheel
Before placing the iPod into disk mode you should verify that it has a charge.
Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Set it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
Press and hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons until the Apple/iPod logo appears, then release them. This resets iPod. When you reset iPod all your music and data files are saved, but some customized settings may be lost.
When the Apple logo appears, immediately press and hold the Previous and Next buttons until the Disk Mode screen appears.
Connect the iPod to your computer; the screen on the iPod will change and say "Do not disconnect
Now click RESTORE to restore you iPod Mini

  • How do I get iTunes to play more than one song at a time on my PC?

I have selected all in a playlist, then click the play button. It plays only the first song in the playlist. How do I get it to play all of those selected?

My iTunes is doing the same thing: when I select a playlist and hit "play," if shuffle is turned on, iTunes plays only one song and then stops. If shuffle is turned off, it plays just fine (one song after another, in order).
Select the songs, right click - get info.
Select the Options tab and Uncheck *Skip when shuffling*.
Also, when I hit shuffle, it doesn't rearrange the songs in the playlist like it's supposed to.
If you are sorting on any column besides the very first on before the track name, the songs will stay displayed in that same sort order.
When you play the playlist, the list will jump around and be shuffled.
If you are sorting on the very first column, the list will be displayed in the shuffled order and play in that order.

  • Library won't play more than one song at a time

What gives? My iTunes suddenly won't play a sequence of songs. Not from the library as a whole, not from any playlist. The files are all still there and I can highlight and play any ONE, but iTunes won't then go on to the next. Tried 'select all', that didn't work either. What setting have I accidently changed? Just downloaded the newest iTunes just in case, but that didn't help. Still only 1 song at a time. Makes using iTunes as background pretty useless.

Are you saying that when you hit PAUSE the song doesn't stop playing?
If you want to jump to a different song while one is already playing, you don't need to hit pause/stop at all. Simply go to the song you want to here, double click it and the song that was playing will stop and the double clicked song will start. No need to use the Stop/Pause/Play type controls at all.

  • HELP! My library won't play more than one song!

Okay, so I've been using iTunes to listen to my music. I ALWAYS just click on Library in the sources list and then highlight shuffle and repeat then push play and it plays and shuffles through all of my tunes.
All of a sudden last night, I clicked the 'next' button to skip a song I didn't want to hear and instead of skipping to another song, the player stopped and the only option available was play. So I hit play and it played the same song but wouldn't skip to a new one.
I've restarted iTunes, re-installed iTunes... I've tried everything I can think of, but now I can't get my library to play through my songs.
The only way it works now is if I place check marks next to the songs and hit play, but given that I have almost 5,000 mp3s, that would take a really long time. I went to 'edit/select all' but that doesn't check the boxes next to the songs, nor is there an option to do so all at once.
Can anybody give me any siggestions on how to get things back to normal. How to play all the songs in my library without having to check each and every one of them? I am desperate for help and quite frustrated at the lengths I have had to go to to try to find someone to answer my question.
It seems that iTunes (unless you want the music store) does not have an option for contacting customer support... at least not one that I can find. I guess we have to rely on each other or something, or search through the millions of troubleshooting questions, hoping to find the one we need. Whatever! Anyways, please help. Thanks.

you've diagnosed the problem correctly. you need to recheck those boxes to get your shuffle working properly again.
to do a "global recheck", go to your main library view, hold down your Ctrl key, and left-click one of the checkboxes.
(the same technique can be used to do a "global uncheck".)

  • Itunes freezes and cant delete more than one song at a time

I tried syncing my ipod when all my songs were erased from my ipod. I tried to re sync it but it always ends up freezeing up on me. I assume I have a corrupt file so I tried to delete all my songs from my libary and just start from scratch. It freezed up again on me. I read up and then decieded to de install itunes and then re install again. I did but all my songs and play list appeared in the new itunes. What can I do to start from scratch? Is there any way to find out what files are correcupted in my itunes.

Or Command click on the songs if they are not consecutive on the list.

  • Playlists won't play more than one song at a time

    Hi
I have setup some play lists, some play all the songs, others will only play one song then stop and I have to manually go to the next song. I don't understand and it's driving me mad! I read through some old posts on this and made sure that the check boxes next to my songs are ticked. I have also made sure that the shuffle & 'play playlist' icons are in blue. Is there anything else I can try? Please, please help!
    Gemma

Besides the checkboxes next to songs, you might want to check the songs themselves with the Get Info command and make sure the "Skip When Shuffling" option it turned off. If your playlist is set to shuffle and your songs say skip when shuffling, then they won't play.
Also, are these new playlists? Or are they playlists that were ok before but now (after upgrading to iTunes 7.6?) act differently?

  • How can I get iTunes to play more than one song before stopping?

When I click on a song listed in iTunes, iTunes plays it and then stops. How can I get it to continue and play the next song, and then the next..

I just found the answer. iTunes will play consecutively the songs that are checked, if Controls --> Repeat Off is checked. When I asked the question I had unchecked all songs.

  • How to make the new iTunes Radio play more than 2 songs without stopping?

I just upgraded to the latest version of iTunes (11.1.3 (8)) on my Macbook Pro and now the radio stations aren't working! It worked flawlessly before the upgrade! I've searched everywhere for troubleshooting tips and found many, many users with the same problem, but no response from Apple. I'm running OS 10.8.5 - is this the issue?
I can listen to maybe two songs before it stops playing. My internet connection is fine and I never experienced this problem before the upgrade. Also, I hate how you can't see a list of stations. I've searched and added some of my favorite stations I knew about from before, however, they are playing completely different music? How can this be?
    Thanks!

I just found the answer. iTunes will play consecutively the songs that are checked, if Controls --> Repeat Off is checked. When I asked the question I had unchecked all songs.
