Nano Sim card from 5S will work in 6

If you buy unlocked iPhone directly from Apple, it will come with T-Mobile sim card. Apple cannot call it sim-free as yet but it is actually sim free, when you remove T-Mobile sim car before turning the phone on. Once the T-Movile sim card is removed it's sim free unlocked iPhone. This has been confirmed by Apple on 10/2/2014.

The iPhone 4s uses a Micro SIM and the iPhone 6 uses a Nano SIM.  The Nano SIM is smaller and thinner, so you should get a new SIM, but some customers have been able to trim their Micro SIM down and gotten it to work in the newer iPhones.  It is a snug fit since it is also thicker, so I would suggest getting a new SIM if you can.

  • How to remove nano sim card from micro sim slot of Z3

I mistakenly put nano sim card in my new bb Z3 im unable to remove it plz help me out in this issue

You will have to be very careful. You may be able to use an exacto knife to remove the nano sim. However, it is highly likely you will, if you haven't already, damage the sim card reader. You may have to disassemble the device and even then sometimes it's not possible to remove it without damaging the sim card reader.

  • HT1688 If i remove sim card from iphone, will contacts be on my sim card ?

I'm getting a new android tomorrow and I'm wondering if my contacts will still be on my sim card. Do i have to do anything on my iphone to put contacts on sim card ?

No. The iPhone does not save anything on the SIM card. You will have to sync your contacts to either a supported application on the computer, or a cloud service that you will be able to access via the Android phone. First thing that comes to mind is Google.

  • Can I use the nano sim card from my HTC One (M8) for an iPhone 6?

I am getting a Mac and with Yosemite, it's geared towards iPhones. So, I have decided I want to get an iPhone 6. However, I don't want to spend the extra money to upgrade through AT&T. If I order the iPhone 6 off the internet, can I put the nano sim from my current phone (HTC One M8) into the iPhone 6?

A lot would also depend on where on the internet you are making the phone purchase from. Are you trying to purchase an AT&T phone from Apple, or something else? I'm guessing you are located in the US?

  • IPad Air (wifi + cellular) WITHOUT nano sim card

Just recently bought an iPad Air (64 GB, wifi + cellular; A1475) on eBay, brand new, except that the seller removed the Verizon nano sim card.  My questions:
What possible reason(s) would the seller have for only removing/keeping the nano sim card from the iPad?
I assume I won't have any problems getting a new/replacement nano sim card from Verizon when/if I sign up for service with them, correct?
From what I've briefly researched online, it seems as if even though the iPad Air is supposedly specifically for use with Verizon, I can actually obtain/use nano sim cards and service from other cellular providers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Spring), correct?  (See also here.)
FYI:  The iPad Air truly was/is brand new.  Never activated, never used (absolutely spotless).
Thanks in advance for any information/advice!
    Joel

AFAIK, the iPads are not carrier-locked, so IFF you need to have carrier-based Internet connectivity and are willing to pony up the cost, you should be able to get the SIM from the carrier giving you the best deal and live happily ever after.
That being said, I have a Wi-Fi+Cell iPad 4 purchased directly from Apple which has never felt a SIM card in its innards. Bought it instead of the Wi-Fi-only model cause I wanted the full GPS capability. And between the office (BIG 1 Gbps pipe to the Internet on our LAN) or at home (much more modest ADSL wireless router), been quite happy ignoring the No SIM onscreen warning. When not at home or the office and iPad use becomes indispensable, I simply tether it to my iPhone 5's Personal Hotspot and its 4G pipe to the Internet. Will NOT pay twice for the same shît.

  • I bought an iphone6 T-Mobile Contract free from US. Can i gift it to my parents in India. Will a nano-SIM card with any Indian carrier work? Will my international warranty still be valid?

I bought an iphone6 T-Mobile Contract free from US. Can i gift it to my parents in India.?
Will a nano-SIM card with any Indian carrier work? They will have to just toss away the T-Mobile SIM and put in nano sim for any Indian carrier, right?
Will my international warranty still be valid? In case of any repairs/services, can that be done in India? Will these services be charged while the phone is in warranty period?

If the phone is purchased in the united states, warranty service will need to be provided in the united states.

  • HT1316 Can i put my SIM card from my old iphone 5 into my new Iphone 5 i just purcahed? And will my phone start working?

Can i put my SIM card from my old iphone 5 into my new Iphone 5 i just purcahed? And will my phone start working?

Yes all of the iPhone 5 family use the nano sim, so as long as you did not switch to a phone locked to another network it will work.  But you do need to go through the activation/setup procedure with tHat sim.

  • How will i be able to use my micro sim card from my iPhone 4s, in the nano sim card tray in the iphone 5?

How will i be able to use my micro sim card from my iPhone 4s, in the nano sim card tray in the iphone 5?

You can't. The nano SIM is 15% thinner compared to its previous two generations, so even if it is cut in the same size, the thickness would be different, meaning the cut micro SIM cannot fit into the nano SIM slot.

  • HT201269 will a sim card from an iphone 4 work in an iphone 5?

Will a sim card from an iphone 4 work in an iphone5?

YES you can you would need to cut your old sim to make it fit
You need to place the new SIM card on top of the old and cut like that
Just be careful not to cut too much
IT WORKED FOR ME Good Luck

Tale phone to AT&T store and they will change out SIM Card fro free!  Great perk for being an Apple customer, once again they prove themselves over and over again, I believe they've outdone the Energizer Rabbit. Kudos to Apple.

  • I'm interested in iPhone 5s Unlocked and contract-free T-Mobile. It will work in Russia, with Russian nano-SIM card GSM?

I'm interested in iPhone 5s Unlocked and contract-free T-Mobile. It will work in Russia, with Russian nano-SIM card GSM?

Depends on what you mean by "fully operational". As i"ve stated, the phone most likely will not support LTE where you live, & unless you're using a supported iPhone carrier, you'll have to fiddle with the APN settings.
But, an unlocked GSM iPhone will work with any GSM carrier.

  • Will iPhone 5S (contract-free) work in Saudi?? With any carrier? And any sim card from any other countries (other than US)

Will iPhone 5S (T-Mobile contract-free) work in Saudi? With any other carrier? And any sim card from any other countries (other than US)

The phone will "work" with any standard GSM carrier.
However, LTE and iPhone features like FaceTime, iMessage, Visual Voicemail may not work unless you use a carrier that officially supports iPhones.
