Nano using Logitech Speakers ----

I'm having this problem using my nano with Logitech MM50 speakers. When I plug in headphones it works, but when I plop the nano in the docking area of the Logitech speaker box, I get no audio sound?
In checking to see if the docking station works, I plop in my IPod Video and it works fine? Any suggestions or comments is greatly appreciated.

EQ has nothing to do with it. The original nano firmware had the occasional difficulty switching from headphones to line out connections. Hold down the menu and select buttons for several seconds to reboot the Nano. Most of the time this will solve the problem but I would recommend you update your firmware with the ipod updater to 1.1 or higher which has supposdly fixed this problem. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60944

  • Using Logitech Speakers With MacBook

I have a new macbook and I've recently inherited an old full set of logitech X-540 speakers from a friend. I haven't set them up yet because I'm afraid that there might be compatibility problems or they might ruin my macbook. Do I have anything to worry about?

An Airport Express would do the job.

  • Connecting Ipod nano to Logitech mm50 ipod speakers

I just bought the Logitech mm50 Ipod Speakers and can't hear the sound from my Ipod Nano over the speakers. I have fully charged the battery with the included charger and now want to listen to the music using the included adaptor (which plugs into the wall) to no avail. The Ipod shows the songs are playing, but we can't hear them. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, can you help me solve this one, short of returning it to the store?

    Hi Sabir,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions
The Creative speakers should work with the iPod as long as they have a standard headphone jack. I saw some connections from Creative to the iPod, but they were not rated.

  • Using imac speakers on a G5

    Hi there
I was going to use the speakers that came with my wife's imac (G4) with my Mac G5. I realised, however, that the speakers have a 2.5" jack whereas the only audio output socket on the G5 is 3.5". Has anyone else tried to use these speakers with a G5 (they're those white rounded ones) and where do you buy the adpator from that I will need to convert the 2.5" jack into 3.5" (sneekily, there is a short metal round section at the bottom of the jack which means that a normal adaptor from Maplins or wherever won't work!

Hi, and a Warm Welcome to Apple Discussions and the Power Mac G5 Forum!
There is some discussion of this issue here

    and here

As the solutions mentioned are either discontinued or expensive (or both), it would probably be easier to invest in an affordable powered 2.1 speaker system that will connect to the analogue audio-out port on the G5, such as
    http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/GB/EN,CRID=2173,CONTENTID=122 45
    - or a not-so-affordable digital 5.1 system with optical audio-in that can use the optical audio-out on the G5, such as
    http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/GB/EN,CRID=2177,CONTENTID=948 6
No specific product recommendation intended - you will receive as much advice on competing speaker systems from this Forum as you can use, should you require it...

  • Recordings Using External Speakers

Hi, I currently have the new generation of 13 inch MacBook Pro. I have bought Logitech external speakers which I plug into my 3.5mm headphone jack. But when I do this I am unable to record any sound whilst using any software such as Quick Time. If I unplug my Logitech speakers and record via my internal microphone then it works.
Basically I want to DJ using my MacBook Pro. I have a USB external sound card for my headphones to be plugged into whilst using Virtual DJ Limited Edition. The version of Virtual DJ I have you can't record directly from that software.
Is there anyway that I can record sound coming through my external Logitech speakers?
I am new to Mac so please be patient with me. Any help would be appreciated a lot.
    Thanks

Presumably your Logitech speakers have a built-in microphone?  If so, make sure to select it in:
System Preferences > Sound > Input
Or, in QuickTime Player, create a new Audio recording and click the downward-pointing arrow on the far-right of the recording window that appears.
If you're doing this and still experiencing problems, you may need to provide further details.

  • 6.1 Logitech speakers: Connecting

    Hello all,
    Mac Pro3,1
Logitech X-620 speaker system, subwoofer with 6 satellite speakers.
The system has black, green and orange 3mm stereo plugs for connection to computers, nothing else.
I used the speakers on my Windows PC before seeing the light and switching to Mac.
At the moment I can only get the sub-woofer and two speakers to work (left and right), using the green 3mm plug connected to the Line-out jack.
Now that I've got rid of the bong/dong noise, I would very much like to get all the speakers emitting sound.
I'm not looking for an Audiophile solution, too expensive, just something simple.
    Any suggestion please?
    Regards

okay, then, OuBallie. Here's the deal: there used to be a plugin  6 channel sound card you could get for your mac, but not any more, at least not for a reasonable price. What you can do is get a 3.5 mm male plug to 3 3.5 female jacks (a 3 way splitter), and use that. If you can't get a 3 way, use 2 2-way splitters. That way, you will get sound coming out of all speakers. You can also try to get a box from China that will split the sound coming from USB or Toslink out.... I think it's this one. I've never used it before, so I can't say for sure if it works or not...

  • IPhone 6 wont connect to Logitech speakers

    HI
I am ovner of iPhone 6, iPad Air and iPad mini with retina display. They all run iOS 8.1. the thing is when I try to connect my iDevice with Logitech speakers Z500 via bluetooth all they do is only searching for devices and nothing happens afterwards. It doesn't even recognices other devices. And if I try to connect iPad Air with iPhone 6 the same thing happens. That also happened with iOS 7.x.
My speakers are fine, because when i try to connect it with android device it works perfectly.

  • Using ipod speakers/updating software

I got an ihome2go (portable speaker system for ipod) for christmas. i have been trying to get it to play songs from my ipod nano (1st gen). it is compatible with this nano, and when i dock the nano in the ihome, the screen shows the song that should be playing, and shows the "play" symbol, but there is no volume. a friend advised me that i might need to update the software for my nano to get it to play. is this correct? also, when i click on the link to download the new itunes software, it asks me if i want to 'run' or 'save' the file. Which should i do? any help would be greatly appreciated, i really want to be able to use my speakers! thanks.

you should always select save not run. by clicking save it will download it to your directory of your choice for later install.
if you choose run it will run the install from the apple website. if you get a break in connection it will ruin your install.
im not sure if you have to update your ipod or not but is there a button on the speaker system to choose ipod input. im not familar with the speaker setup.
also what is the volume level on your ipod. that could be the problem.
does this speaker system hook up via the headphone jack or the ipod connector.

  • Can I use the speakers on my Thunderbolt as well as my Computer at the same time?

I am trying to use the speakers on my iMac as well as the speakers on the Thunderbolt display. Any one know a way to accomplish this?

This cannot be done on any iMac.  For whatever reason,
there can only be one audio output.  There may be some
third party work arounds, but for a stock system it cannot
be done.  This is nothing new and applies to pretty much
    all Macs.

  • Is it possible to use two speakers with one Apple Tv ?

    Hello everyone,
I bought an Apple Tv and I have one apple express with a Bose speaker and a Bose Link Air speaker.
I would like to see a movie using the two speakers but every time that I try to select two speakers in the airplay Apple Tv menu, it automatically deselect the other speaker.
Is it possible to use two speakers in the same time ? ( I know it's possible with Itunes)
    Thank,
Ps: I have the last Apple TV

No, that is not possible with Apple TV. You can set one 'output' via Apple TV, and 'stream' to multiple speakers from iTunes or via the remote app.

  • How I delete my photos from a 3rd generation nano using version 9.2. there is no photos in library list

I have a 3rd genation nano using version 9.2. I have no problem syn music, but there is no photos listed in library and I can't delete photos on my IPod. Does any one have a solution to this?

iTunes does not store folders.  In order to remove photos from your Nano, you remove them from the folder you have your Nano set to sync photos from.  You can view which folder this is from under your iPod's Photos configuration pane in iTunes.
Plug your iPod in, select it from under Devices in the left hand pane of iTunes to bring yourself to the iPod's Summary tab. Now look for the Photos tab along the top and select it.  Under this tab, it will show you what folder on your PC your iPod is syncing photos from.
Then browse out to that folder and remove the photos you no longer want on the Nano from the folder.  Lastly, resync your iPod.

  • Audio Out of Sync using Logitech C920

    Hello.
I am shooting in 720p with my Logitech C920 the sound is fine as raw file and in windows movie maker even after saving.
When I open it with Premiere it's out of sync before creating track and after saving.  I am new(using the trial) and I am new to having all these crazy settings and my guess is I messed something up perhaps. Everything was working fine the other day.
I have just been using the default settings when I make a new project. I save android  720 H.264
I have attached a screenshot of the file details if that helps. Thank you so much I really hope I can fix this as I don't want to re-film or use another program(WMM sucks lol).

I couldn't find an edit button but also wanted to add.
I cleared the media cache from settings so the files had to conform again. I dragged file to new item as well to no avail.
For other stuff you may need:
What version of Premiere Pro? Include the minor version number (e.g., Premiere Pro CS5.5 with the 5.5.2 update). 8.1 I am using the trial
Have you installed the recent updates? (If not, you should. They fix a lot of problems.) Yes
What operating system? This should include specific minor version numbers, like "Mac OSX v10.6.8"---not just "Mac". Windows 7
What kind(s) of source footage? When telling about your source footage, tell us about the codecs, not just the container types. For example, "H.264 in a .mov container", not just "QuickTime". H.264 MP4 using Logitech C920 webcam
If you are getting error message(s), what is the full text of the error message(s)? None.
What were you doing when the problem occurred? Dragged file in and watched it.
Has this ever worked before? Yes
What other software are you running? Nothing
Do you have any third-party effects or codecs installed? I think I have FFDshow and Divx, I am unsure about these things, maybe I need to fix them?
Tell us about your computer hardware. Be especially certain to tell us about third-party I/O hardware (e.g., AJA, Matrox, Blackmagic, MOTU). ?
Are you using Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration? No idea, how do I check?
Does the problem only happen with your final output, with previews, or both? Both
Here is more details about the video also. Hope this helps let me know if I need to give more info!

Anyone have any suggestions on how to rectify this issue?  In fact, I don't even have to be streaming the movie. • Can I use bluetooth speakers and wired speakers together

Can I use bluetooth speakers and wired speakers together?

You should be able to listen to your music in iTunes through the Bluetooth speakers. If, after buying the speakers, you can't select them in iTunes, just go to System Preferences > Sound > Output, and choose the Bluetooth speakers
