Não consigo acessar qualquer site da google que dá 'Esta conexão não é confiável'

Há mais ou menos uma semana, toda vez que tento entrar em qualquer site da google e agora, está acontecendo em quase todos os sites que tento entrar, está aparecendo a mensagem "Esta conhexão não é confiável", então aperto em adicionar exceção, tudo certinho. Mas exemplo, o facebook após adicionar a excessão, não carrega nada, nenhuma imagem e já outros sites como google mesmo, quando tento entrar novamente, dá a mesma mensagem, como se não tivesse adicionado a exceção. Já tentei restaurar o firefox, já desinstalei-o duas vezes também e nada. E não fiz nenhum download recente de nenhum antivirus, nada. Isso também esta acontecendo com alguém? Alguém tem ideia do que posso fazer? Pois o google chrome é muito ruim, ele trava toda hora e não é problema de atualização, pois atualizei e no mesmo dia travou e muito.

When I swap to private browsing firefox allows me to anter the website address directly into the location bar - but this is a slow [prcess to swap back and forth - also by dint of using private browsing I loose my website information.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Submitting site maps for multiple sites to Google

I sort of glommed on to the end of the thread "meta and google-ing...i give up," but I'll start a fresh post here with this:
I have three sites in iWeb, all of which have their own registered Go Daddy domain names and are forwarded to .mac without masking. I followed James Tseng's instructions and successfully submitted to Google and verified my "www.mac.com/user/iWeb" url.
I also successfully uploaded a site map for one of my sites (let's just call it Site 1), which is in my iWeb folder (not the Site 1 folder).
My question: I assume I can create separate site maps for Sites 2 and 3. Do they also go in the same iWeb folder as the first one? Is that possible if they're all named "sitemap.xml" or do they have to be given different names?
Also... if I want to submit these three sites to other engines like MSN and Yahoo, can I submit the forwarded domain names, or will these engines not follow the forwarding to my .mac url?
If that's the case, is it best to submit the single "www.mac.com/user/iWeb url" as I did with Google, or should I submit each site's .mac url separately?

I hope you've been finding all this helpful so far! It's always fun to see just how much feedback you can get from Google. Sort of gives you a feeling that "you've arrived". haha.
Regarding your question about sitemaps and multiple sites.... My strategy is this... I like to give Google sort of the broadest catch that I can. That's why I really suggest to people that they register the most general URL... http://web.mac.com/username/iWeb/ . You see how that really leaves the door open for the possibility of multiple sites, without having to register multiple sites. Google really doesn't care that you call them separate sites...to Google they appear as part of the same site...with the same base verified URL.
So with that registered URL, there really is only one place where the verification file and sitemap.xml file can go. And that place is in the iDisk/Web/Sites/iWeb/ folder. And there is really only a need for a single verification file and a single sitemap.xml file, no matter how many sites you have. The point here isn't telling Google that you have more sites...it's just about telling Google that you have more LINKS in the site that it already knows about.
So how do you do this? Just spider your new site or gather the links in your own way and then copy and paste the links (just the links section...not the first two lines or the last line of the code) into the sitemap.xml file that you have already submitted before. Then resubmit it to Google.
Does this make sense? Let me know what you think.

Hello,
Looking at the site I assume that you want the navigation menu and black rectangle at the top and rest of the content should scroll below that.
For this you need to make sure rectangle , menu navigation are pinned and they should be in the top layer.
To create a layer go to the layers panel and create a new layer (make sure its at the top of the layers list)
Select the elements that you want to stay over other elements > Right click > Move to Layer > Select newly created top layer.
This should do what you wish for. Please let me know if this not what you are looking for.

hi all i have my site up and running and think i have it indexed?
im after a bit of help regarding how people search for it? for example the website is for my turfing company based in essex called Unique Lawns. i need to know how i go about keywords so if someone was to type in google "turf laid in essex" my site would appear?

i can find my site in google by typing unique lawns usualy in the top 6-7 on the first page which i think is pretty good as i only submitted it a few days ago, i have been reading about META keywords which im a bit confused about as some say they dont work in google?

also are google adwords any good as i have a free £50 voucher that came with my hosting?

If, as you say, some of your pages have been indexed by Google, chances are all pages have been indexed..... including the phrase:
"turf laid in essex"
A quick Google search returns
About 1,440,000 results
for that phrase...and I'll bet your's in there somwhere!
Why even the mention of
"turf laid in essex"
has this Adobe post listed 4th position, first page... saying the post was added 17 minutes ago....
so remember, in that 1,440,000 results, there are a lot of sites... all wanting to be on the first page... so why did the Adobe post make it and your site did not?
Look at the time the Adobe Forum has been around... so you have to consider time.
Look at the massive amount of quality content on the Adobe site... how does your site compare?
Look at all the other inbound links that the Adobe Forum has built up over all those years? How about your site?
Don't be discouraged, Google "SEO Princliple" and topics like that... TONS of info available.
Just remember that pretty much everyone in those 1,440,000 results want to be first page... so competition can be stiff... review and build on sound SEO principles and don't expect it happen overnight.

Trying to add my site to Google is driving me crazy! Please help!!!

I am using domain forwarding through GoDaddy for a site that i made with iweb 08 and is being hosted on .mac. When I go to register my site with Google's search engine, it asks me to go through the steps to verify my site. You cna either add a meta tag or upload an html file to the site in order to do this. However, every time I try this, it says it cannot find the tag or file. I am uploading the file to my idisk, and adding the meta tag to the html files also on the idisk. Nothing seems to be working. I cannot tell you how much I would appreciate someone solving this problem for me! Thanks!

I don't know if this will help because I am uploading to a server other than .Mac.
The file is uploaded to the first level of the site directory as - google....html.
I am also uploading a sitemap - sitemap.xml

When I use it with my temperature logger most of the time I get an Error 66...but some times it does work and actually retrieves the document.
I can use the same address "http://172.22.21.68/XMLfeed.rb" (Internet Explorer or Google Chrome) in my browser and get a response every time. When accessing from my browser the server in the temperature logger does take around 6 seconds to respond, but it does respond every time.
Is the URL Get Document Vi exceeding a timeout? If so, where can I set it to wait longer?

It looks like the TCP Buffered Read has a 2.5 sec timeout, I believe that is where I had trouble as well. Try creating your own URL Get HTTP Doc vi in which you call URL Get Document in normal mode, with an appropriate number of characters to fetch (enough characters so that you capture all the important data in the XML file).

Help preparing site for google search

Hello. I'm not sure if anyone will be able to help me or if I will have to contact google but I am trying to figure out how to prepare my site for Google Search. Right now my site does appear in the search results but not how I would like it to. In the screenshot below my site is The Official Website of Fab Hollie. I do not want the "About" and the "Contact Us" pages to show up as they are child pages and not parent pages. Is there anything I can do in Muse to prevent this or is it a google thing?
I know this is probably a google thing but I would like my search result to display with sitelinks like the example below. I'm new to the whole google webmaster thing so I'm not sure if there is a way I can prepare my site for this in Muse?

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
*Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
*Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
*Check the exceptions in "Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
*Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
Make sure that you do not block third-party images, the permissions.default.image pref should be 1.
There are also extensions like Adblock Plus (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images and other content.

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

I've run LastPass for over a year, with the upgrade to FireFox 6 I can't switch logins on sites like Google where I have more than one login.

I have 6 Google logins stored in LastPass. Since I upgraded FireFox to v.6, I can't choose an alternate login to my normal one. I also have occasional trouble with LastPass simply not filling in my login information at all, for instance on my Merrill Lynch online account. I opened a ticket with them and they said it was Google's fault. It was working perfectly until the last FireFox upgrade.

Just for the record: this turned out to be an issue with backleveled Java code. If you still have it, go to the Java code site and check to make sure you have the latest version. If you don't, download it and it should fix the problem.

hi guys i have iweb 09 and im trying to get google to recognize my site map ,ive posted the site map in to my url folder of my domain name and also ive posted the google html file but google says error and will not verify,why is iweb so bad for this??what can i do i really need help?????????????

An HTML verification file is better than a tag.
You can make up a sitemap for free or use a third party application.

How to hide site from Google?

I have a site that I don't want to appear in Google search rankings. Someone had told me that simply converting my text to image files would accomplish this, but some of my text that I've converted to images is still showing up. Of particular concern is my About page, which is one of two pages appearing in Google. Would titling the pages else help, like "Reach Me" or some nonsense word even? Any easy-to-understand help on how to stay out of Google would be appreciated (not too technical here). Also, would appreciate input from a few different people, since I've found there's generally not one simple answer to these types of things.

Decided to try it and so far it looks easy enough --thanks for the encouragement. Got through step four in which I've created the text file and pasted in what they've generated, but here's where I'm confused:
"Upload the robots.txt to the root of your web site. The root is where your default (index) page is normally located." How do I find the root of my site and upload the file? I created it with iWeb and am hosting on GoDaddy, if that matters.

Cannot create title tag, meta tags for iWeb site, per Google requirements.

I created simple website in iWeb to meet art show deadline

but when I tried to submit to search engines (via GoDaddy "Traffic Blazer" product), several issues or errors noted...no title tag, meta tags, keywords, too little text, etc. Was told by Apple, there is no fix at this time...no way to access to actual HTML code, to add title tag or meta tags, etc...since iWeb is merely a consumer, not professional enterprise, product. Researching further, I even tried to submit to Google directly, not via GoDaddy "Traffic Blazer", but could not "verify" my url site (because meta tag missing and/or could not upload entire html file, as required. I'd produced client websites in past on Adobe GoLive and was learning Dreamweaver, when someone alerted me to simplicity of iWeb. It is clean and simple, but wish I'd anticipated these other issues. Is there a solution to this with iWeb or should I finish learning Dreamweaver and start over? Thanks for any advice you can share.

I could not open home.html file with "text edit", but when using Taco HTML Edit, it would open...so I dusted off (novice) HTML skills and entered the appropriate title tag and meta tag, per Google's requirements. Then, went to my GoDaddy hosting control center and (I think) I uploaded new file with new tags. Seems to be major lag time with any changes, so not sure my site is now successfully "verified", on Google. Hope I did not mess anything up, in the process. There seems to be various lag times before any changes take effect (right??).
So now...I'm very glad to find out about iMap and will buy it and watch the tutorial video, as instructed...since I am unsure if last 'fix'...fixed the problem, etc...and always eager to learn more. This is my first Apple discussion post, and certainly impressed/grateful for expert help. THX again.
