NAT Type 2 but still strict in MW3 - Help please!!
So here's my dilemma. I've been searching for 2 days now how to get an open NAT type in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
I've got a BT HomeHub 2. Simply connecting wirelessly to the network grants me a NAT Type 2, which I understand is supposed to be moderate, and therefore open to a certain extent ... But in-game is says that I have a Strict NAT type and won't let me connect to friends' parties.
I've forwarded all sorts of ports as instructed to do so by various online blogs, that didn't work, neither did portforwarding's website.
I've tried using a static ip and enabling DMZ on the hub, but that wouldn't even allow my PS3 to connect to the router
I've even tried using PPPoE, entering some random's email and password into the boxes as I saw on youtube.
BT's solution is a load of rubbish ... "Try resetting the modem and select static ip in the HH settings".
Has anyone else come across this problem of NAT type 2 being strict on MW3, and have you managed to overcome it??
I'm not a total gimp when it comes to fiddling with computer settings but I can't work this one out.

I was able to quick fix my Nat type by simply loading the multiplayer on cod4 which must open up the required ports but even that is more complicated with the game not loading now at all unless you disable your router (another kettle of fish).
The strict Nat doesn't seem to be as bad lag wise so that's something the developers have fixed with the last MW3 update, however the lack of ability to connect to your friends with a million dollar multiplayer such as MW3 is quite frankly unacceptable and completely defeats the object of such games.
I've tried forwarding ports and all the other methods to no avail, I've yet to try MW2 too see if that will quick fix the problem.
But please let us know if your forwarded ports are still working with an open nat, and if you can join / hear friends.

Otherwise I'm going to try some other routers as I have plenty of friends with different set ups playing fine with open Nat, that being said there are just as many with different providers and routers suffering the same dilemma, this is certainly not just a home hub issue although if I get another router to work I will certainly enjoy throwing the hh out the window...

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

Updated GT70 BIOS but still no vt-x. help please!
Hello everyone! This is my first post so forgive me if I don't sound to competent.
I updated my BIOS to the 10R listed on the MSI Website for the sake of virtualization. I updated from the 10C version.
After the update, I booted into the BIOS to verify that the BIOS version properly updated. It did. Then I searched for the vt-x option but I didn't see it. I read on another topic ( https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165254.0 ) that this is normal, so I didn't give it much thought. I went ahead into Virtualbox to start up my virtual machine and the program tells me that this isn't possible because "vt-x features locked or unavailable in MSR."
Is there something else i have to do to my BIOS to properly unlock this feature?OK so I ran the program and it says "Yes" for hardware virtualization but then it gives a link for "more" information. Upon clicking it it says
"This processor does offer advanced hardware support for virtualization. However, while running under a 64-bit version of Windows this program cannot execute its 32-bit kernel code to determine whether Intel's VMX virtual machine extensions are being locked on, locked off, or neither. Since there's a chance that your system's BIOS may be deliberately disabling support for hardware virtualization (some do) you should re-run this program, if possible, with administrative privileges under a 32-bit version of NT, XP, or Vista. That will allow SecurAble to run a bit of kernel-mode code in order to determine exactly what's going on. So my system is Windows 7 64 bit. I also ran the SecurAble program as administrator but it gives me the same response. I don't have a 32 bit version of Windows so I don't know what to do next...
EDIT: I just checked Microsoft's HAV Detection tool and it says "Hardware-assisted virtualization is not enabled".

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I installed Adobe dlm add-on and now Firefox will not open. I see the process starting in Task Manager but no window opens. Unistalled Firefox then re-installed but still no luck. HELP ME! I do not want to use IE! I presume it has something to do with Adobe DLM as ever since then it is not working.I had this problem for a couple weeks as well and it was extremely frustrating considering we use firefox for all our company tasks. Here is the solution:
First of all if you have no bookmarks you want to save, then go directly to step 7. If you want to save your bookmarks first, then follow these steps.
1. Shut down the computer
2. Reboot and open firefox
3. Go to Task Manager, right click firefox.exe, and click END PROCESS TREE
4. WAIT 30 SECONDS! Then Double-click the shortcut to try and open firefox again
5.Repeat steps 3 and 4 until firefox finally opens (trust me, eventually it will)
6. Once it finally opens, backup your bookmarks,
7. Download a copy of firefox from there website
8. Uninstall from programs menu and make sure to check the box REMOVE ALL COMPONENTS
9. install the new copy and BOOM! it works
If it doesn't work, you're an idiot. If you don't want to reinstall firefox, then you're out of luck. Good Luck! -

Check your System Profiler to see if your computer is recognizing them. You may need to reset the computers SMC.

I have jumped from 5.1 to CC. When I open a file originated in illustrator 5.1 in CC it changes the CMYK breakdown. Have tried colour setting changes in Bridge but still have differences. Help!

You might need to reset all warnings in preferences.
Apart from that itlooks like your color management settings are set to convert into profile. This is absolutely not advisable. -
