Native Email vs. Bridge Email

If you already have your email configured to your mobile device, and it is bridged to the playbook, when you set up native email with the recent update, can these be consolidated under native email? I setup the same email on the playbook native email, and it is working, however, when I send, delete or read an email, it does not sync with the bridged email and email on device. Should the native email not recognise your accounts once you bridge your device to the playbook? Thanks

both are different types and do not interact with each other
the mail server is the common point, so web mail, native meail, BB phone mail, PC mail client and anything else will all behave a lil different between each other as none are the same.
but the mailbox it self will replicate the changes and the others conntections to it will get updated depending on their individual settings and times.

  • Synching Blackberry bridge and native email/calendar/contacts

Is there any way to synchronise between the bridge and the native email/contacts/calendar on the playbook? I prefer the playbook's email etc but don't always have the playbook with me, so I end up putting new contacts etc on my bb phone. What I would like to do is synchronise the new contacts etc onto the playbooks native apps when the two devices are connected by bluetooth.

    Use Google sync.

  • Will the playbook ever get Native email? What about Android Apps?

I was told the bridge was just to be a temporary fix until native email would be compatible on the playbook. Does anyone know if this will ever happen?
I was also told we'd get to download android apps eventually. This also hasn't happened. Does anyone know if this will ever happen?
    Thanks

The Co-CEO of RIM stated very clearly at BlackBerry World Conference that an on-device PIM was coming, within 90 days or end of summer, I don't recall which, as well as promised an Android app player(and Angry Birds for the Playbook!). So far, none of the three have been delivered.
    Waiting with you.

  • Native Email Setup

Ok everyone I'm looking for some help. Maybe others are too?
I was wondering why can't I just import my email account settings from bridge connection (off my BB) into native email. IMO, RIM is dropping the ball here. How convenient and communication friendly would it be if upon launching native email if it gave you the option to do this! Instead were made to manually install all email accounts already on our BB into native email. Again IMO, what a waste of my time!
Furthermore, when I am using PB web Brower and select a link to send an email I am forced to use the native email program. This bring up the whole sync issue and how BB/PB are supposed to be all about secure, seemless communications. I sure wish there was a way to force my PB to use my bridge email.
Overall as an MS exchange user who has POP and IMAP accounts I'm not impressed by native email. Exchange is what keeps my calender not google. If I wanted google then I would have bought a android device.
On the upside, I do like the word suggestions when typing!
    I know you?

    My frustration too!
Why can't I see all my messages, contacts and calendar from either my BB or PlayBook without using the Bridge?
Without that I really see very little reason for the upgrade to v2.
One other frustration: Why change from the panels in BB OS v7? I was just getting used to them and now they're gone. Better yet, why not have both panels and folders?
    Thank you,

  • Native Email on BIS

My native IMAP email is working when I am connected to wifi, but not using BIS from my phone.   The browser works fine, so I know the BIS is working, but no email connection.    Is there a setting somewhere that needs to be activated?
    Thanks.

Please explain BIS! So far I am not happy with the native email. I have 'thousands' of contacts from GMail for instance, which i don't want as they are so old.  Same with my main email, hundreds of emails that I have to delete - AGAIN.  I don't like that my phone is not sync'd with the PB.  Does BIS have something to do with with Sync'ing?  If so how do I get it to work?  If not, how do I remove an email account, two actually, from the PB?
Want to stay with bridge sync as before OS 2 - In fact, that was one of the features that attracted me to PB
    Am I missing something though?
    Regards,
    Merry Me with my Black-Berry

  • Unable to view older emails using native email cli...

I would be grateful for some help.  I use my inbox to store messages until I have acted on them.  The native email client on my E55 will not keep messages older than a month.  Is there a work around or another email programme that someone can recommend to me?  This was not the case with my E71 and is certainly not the case with any other email client I run on an iPod touch or computer.  Thanks.  John

What is different about these particular emails, and what types of files can it not show?
Changing email app won't help if the emails contain attachments the iPhone itself cannot view.

  • Warning. Stop using Apple's native email App.

Stop using Apple's native email App, or else you will end up just like me, with no room for anything else.
The thing is a memory gobbler.
It eats memory like a hog and there is no way in the world to reclaim lost Gigabytes.
You though you can get back your memory by deleting emails? You are wrong!
You thought erasing email accounts will help? No. Another strikeout.
There is no way to get your memory back. Neither the thing can be uninstalled.
You will be better of not using Apple's email app ever!

Been using Apple's mail app in iOS for years with a total of 9 different email accounts without a problem. As always, your personal experience and problems are not an indication of a fundamental flaw or even issue for the many MILLIONS of users world wide.
Perhaps, if you just gave some actual details of your situation, someone here could actually help you.

  • After lollipop update, native email app and third party email apps cannot connect to email server over wifi, only on 4g

Updated to lollipop yesterday.  Now I cannot access email server (POP3) on wifi, only over 4G.  This is happening on native email app and third party apps such as K9.  Any help appreciated.

We're terribly sorry to hear about the email issues. Let's get this resolved immediately. Since the update, have you tried to delete and re add the email account?

  • IMAP push on native email client and dovecot

    Hi.
I'm using nokia's email client (declined the agreement, so the client makes the connection) to connect to a dovecot IMAP server.
My question is, I'm using IMAP push and it works, but the client disconnects from the server (cca 5 min) and makes a traditional sync (if using freq. syncing). If I disable the freq. syncing, it just disconnects.
    Best regards.

It is quite simple: The native email client on e72  does not support IMAP idle / push IMAP.
(The client on my old E51 did though).
If you use Nokia Messaging and give Nokia the email account credentials there should be a push-like function but I did not test that.
I addition, there is no way to get the sent messages to the "sent messages" folder on the server, which makes the use of IMAP totally pointless.
    Get another email client.

  • Native Email in OS2

    Hi
    All --
With OS2 I set up two "native" email accounts (hope this is right terminology).  I set up yahoo account fine - starting getting my emails.  However, when I replied all to one of the emails - and i was included in the "reply all" --- i never got the email.
have i missed something easy that someone can help me with?  I received one bounceback - the message was sent to about ten people, including me.  I see where it was sent.

as far as I know you can't create email folders on PB...you can create the folders on your computer and then they'll show up on PB

  • Native Email App problem

  • How to create MAC JNI call to launch the native email client

How to write JNI code to call native default email client on MAC OSX and add attachment in that email client. Thanks plz help in this regard.

Which suggests that you want to open the actual email client, rather than using java itself to send the email.
    However it doesn't answer why.
At any rate that requires the following.
    1. A platform specific way to run the email client. If you can't figure out how to do this from the command line (nothing to do with java) then you can't do it in java.
    2. A way to manipulate an application that is running. The Robot package is intended for that. It might or might not do it. If not then you would need to find or create something else to do this.
    3. Custom scripts for each possible email client which is fed into part 2 to make it do something.
Obviously a lot of work especially the last as that part might vary not only by vendor by also by version and user configuration.

  • Native email does not notify until I click on an email

When I click on an email it runs rapidly through notifications of other missed emails, but not until I check my mail by clicking on an email.
How can I get the notifications to be pushed properly?
PS I am using the Gmail app as well as the native mail

  • Native email sends message multiple times

Since I have updated to the new OS, the email app is now sending messages multiple times. When I initially send it, it appears to be unsuccessful, as it is in the Inbox with a red X. But the message is sent. The app keeps trying to send the "unsuccessful" message, and the recipient ends up receiving the same message more than once. Anyone else having this problem, or have an answer?

This issue has not yet been resolved in the below thread either.

I would give rim a call to let them know of your problems.
If they can't track it they won't know how many users this is affecting. I imagine it will get solved a lot quicker if they know just how many users it's affecting.
    Good luck
