Native libraries in ABAP runtime

Hello
I have a question. Im developing application which is doing lots of XML processing (quite complicated and time consuming). Since XML support in ABAP itself its very poor we decided to use Java libraries on external server. Comunication between java and abap is done via Jco. But ... the best solution could be if we could use native libraries (java or C JNI wrapper to java) in ABAP. Is there a method or approach to expose interface in ABAP OO and then code implementation to use native library. How to deploy such library in R3.
I saw that all classes from iXML are connected somehow to native runtime.
Does anybody know how to do that, or just can point me to any documentation or example ?

Can you make sure this native library is in the PATH(Windows) or LD_LIBRARY_PATH
(UNIX)?

Everywhere I read not to use (load) native libraries in a bean.
However I couldn't find a reason for not doing so I tried.
The loading of the lib. is successful but when trying to call
a function of it I receive:
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: beanHelloWorld
Could someone explain why this happens?

Hi.
We only support Solaris on Sparc platforms, so there are no intel libs for Solaris 8.

Calling native libraries from OC4J (howto config)

Hello folks,
I need your help. I am trying to set up OC4J so that I can call native libraries from my servlet. Could you point me to the respective documentation or give a hint on how to configure OC4J for this? Thank you.

I don't have an example, so I'm working from memory here and assuming you are using OC4J standalone.
There's two aspects which need to be considered:
1: the Java wrapper classes you have which call out to the native libary.
2: the native libs themselves (which I'll call a .dll from hereon in for simplicity).
What you would need to do is make sure the Java wrapper classes are all available to the web application. This can be done by either packaging them in a jar file and putting it into the web-inf/lib directory of your web application, or leaving them in an unpackaged form and putting it into the web-inf/classes directory.
I do vaguely remember helping someone debug a JSP tag lib issue once before which used native code and we ran into some problems with concurrent use of the same DLL (a Java restriction) because a DLL can only be registered once per JVM instance and the threading model meant it was being loaded more than once -- but it may have also had something to do with the JSP taglib cache.
If you do get some form of Java runtime exception showing concurrent access error for the native lib, what you can do is move the lib with the Java wrapper classes into the global classpath (j2ee/home/applib) meaning it's only ever loaded once..
Then what you need to do is make sure the DLL itself is accessible to the Java process -- on Windows this is done by making sure directory holding the DDL is set in the PATH environment variable before -- before starting OC4J. On other platforms, it can be done using the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable.
That should be all you need to do to make it work.

App started by ProcessBuilder can't find extracted native libraries

Hi all,
I have a strange issue with my application.
This is what I want:
1: My Java bootloader (main class that starts another application with ProcessBuilder) search on the classpath for config files containing startup properties. The bootloader sets environment variables and vm properties like LD_LIBRARY_PATH and the -Xmx and starts the real application.
2: The application extracts native libraries based on OS and Archtype to a temp folder based on a timestamp (LD_LIBRARY_PATH refers to that temp folder). The native libraries are packed in jar files, that are placed on the classpath.
3: The application loads the native libraries. In my scenario there are 3 native libs. 1 of the files have a dependency to the other 2. (loadlibrary of the one use the LD_LIBRARY_PATH to locate the other 2 on Linux)
This is working correctly at Windows and also on Linux when I did NOT use the ProcessBuilder but start the process directly (and set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH before starting the application).
Under Linux (with using my Java bootloader) I have the problem that my application [ System.load(...) ] throws an exception that the related libraries can't be found when loading the library. But when I hardcode/reuse my temp folder, so that the files are already available when starting the bootloader, the loading will succeed. The LD_LIBRARY_PATH always reference to the correct path of the native libraries.
I don't understand what is wrong? Any ideas?

ABAP Runtime Error while executing planning folder

We have a situation where I can access our planning folders but that's not the case for one of our user. She encountered with an ABAP Runtime Error as follow:

ABAP Runtime error while activating Update rules.

Hi Gurus,
Actually we are in NW 2004's SP9.
While activating the update rules of cube "0PY_PPC01" it is going to ABAP runtime error. It is giving the key words like "MESSAGE_TYPE_X"
"%_T005K2" or "INSTANTIATE". And i apply NOTEs also i am unable to fix it.
Can any one give correct NOTE number that can fix it or any suggestions.

ABAP Runtime error in FM BBP_VENDOR_GET_DATA2 in R/3

Hi Gurus
We are receiving nearly 1000 ABAP runtime error in the Functional Module BBP_VENDOR_GET_DATA2 in the user ID as RFCPROD in the ST22 and in the dump details as soon below.
   Possible error causes:
    o The maximum size of an SQL statement was exceeded.
    o The statement contains too many input variables.
    o The input data requires more space than is available.
And this is happening in this place.

Abap runtime error CL_AI_CRM_OBJECT_LMDB============CP

Dear All,
We are setting up Solman 7.1 sp08 for VAR scenario.
As we faced some issues with duplicated ibase components SAP suggested us to implement note 2012029.
After following step by step and running the reporrts mentioned in above note like report AI_CRM_PRODUCT_DELETE we started getting an abap runtime error.
SAP is telling us to re implement the note but it does not resolve our issue.
Now we are unable to create incidents, or to run trx ib_gen.
Because of this, job refresh_admin_data_from_support is getting cancelled.

how often had you restarted ME21N before you posted this message?
In best case this message appears only once, because the program / or dictionary was changed while you executed ME21N
If many times, then contact your ABAPer, because then he probably did not transport all objects that were changed, or the objects have to be regenerated in your system.

I have applied SAP note 1568264 - Budget Changes 2011 as released by
SAP and i also applied the pre-requiste SAP notes mentioned in the
above SAP note
1) SAP Note 1558475- Amendments to IT calculation notified under
circular:08/2010.
2) SAP Note 1572614- Tax calculations inconsistent for emp. without a
vaild PAN.
3) SAP Note 1575366- HINCALC0:Tax calculation inconsistent in case of
invalid PAN.
After applying the SAP notes, when i am trying to execute the T.Code :
PC00_M40_CALC, i am getting an "Abap runtime error"

The dump error is generally encountered if your system is at a lower Support Pack level. For implementing Note 1568264 (Budget Changes 2011), you need to be at the below mentioned pre-requisite level corresponding to your Release:
Prerequisites:
   Release     Support Package
     604         HRSP29
     600         HRSP63
     500         HRSP80
     470         HRSPB4
     46C         HRSPG9
The correct sequence to implement the Notes is:
SAP Note 1558475- Amendments to IT calculation notified under
circular:08/2010.
SAP Note 1572614- Tax calculations inconsistent for emp. without a
vaild PAN.
SAP Note 1575366- HINCALC0:Tax calculation inconsistent in case of
invalid PAN.
SAP Note 1568264- Budget Changes 2011
This should solve the issue unless there is some problem while implementing the Notes.

The event keyword AT SELECTION-SCREEN provides you with several possibilities to carry out processing blocks while the system is processing the selection screen.

After this statement, you can work with the current line of the database table <table>. The data is provided in the table work area <table>.
GET <table> LATE Point after processing all tables which
are hierarchically subordinate to the database table <table> in the structure of the logical database.
To start a processing block at the moment after the system has processed all database tables of a logical database that are hierarchically inferior to a specific database table, use the event keyword GET as follows:

GET <table> LATE FIELDS <list>.
In analogy to report programs that use only SELECT statements (see table in Comparison of Access Methods ), the processing block of a GET <table> LATE statement would appear directly before the ENDSELECT statement in the SELECT loop for the database table <table>.

To define a processing block after the system has read and processed all database tables of a logical database, use the keyword END-OF-SELECTION.

but when i tried samething in development and quality by lastname o'brein in PA20 OR PA30 TRANSACTION i got the 4 names .please let me know what is the problem . it is very urgent.

While doing PGI (Posting Goods Issue) in delivery at t.code [VL01N] there is an ABAP Runtime Error
And some part of the analysis is

In the source fode you have the termination point in line 59 of the (Include) program "LMBWLU21".

The main program was "SAPMV50A".
Go to SE80,choose Program and enter SAPMV50A ,check does it contain your Inlcude LMB* if not check other SAPLMBWL pgm ,n check..
go to the include ,this might be a FM also.. so check properly and than put a break point.
