Nautilus-open-terminal x86_64 does not open to HOME

I just installed the nautilus-open-terminal with "pacman -S".
When I try to right click on desktop, select open terminal, the launched gnome-terminal open to ~/Desktop NOT my home directory ~.
any idea?

Err, thats the point... it opens a terminal in your current location. If you want to open a terminal of your home folder, right click the home folder, or right click in the window when its open.

New Role does not appear in home page after assigned to a user

Hi there!
I'm new at SAP Portals.
I've created a role and assigned it to an user, but the corresponding tab does not appear in home page.
I've already changed permitions to a group that is assigned to the user.
I've seen in some posts that the role's property "Entry point" should have value "Yes", but mine is set to "No". Meanwhile, I can't change it. When I open the role and press button "Properties" nothing happens. The only way I can check role's properties is through "Delta Link tracer", but there I can't change them.
Can you help me, make the new tab (corresponding to role) happear in home page menu?

to track down you problem, you click on "properties", but you can't see the properties? They won't get loaded and therefor, you can't edit the property?
What's your portal version + SPS, which browser are you using + version (IE, FF) and how do you access the portal? IP, FQDN? Are you getting any error message in the browser?
What profile is assigned to your user? What kind of roles are you trying to modify? A new one, or a SAP pre-delivered portal role?

I know there are spacer.gif files under the theme folders but why is it looking for a spacer.gif file in the images folder? Is this a bug?

Yes I just checked it's a problem with theme 9 there are a couple of places where the theme calls #IMAGE_PREFIX#spacer.gif when it should call #IMAGE_PREFIX#themes/theme_9/spacer.gif
There are two ways for you to fix this
1. Copy themes/theme_9/spacer.gif to the top level images directory, I recommend this one because then if someone creates the theme from the repository again it wont' come up agian.
2. Change all #IMAGE_PREFIX#spacer.gif to #IMAGE_PREFIX#themes/theme_9/spacer.gif in theme 9, if you export the theme you can just us a search and replace the export to do this and then reapply the theme.
This as been bugged and will get fixed in future version.

Under Choose a Network, is anything showing for you to select?

Designer 6.0 does not support multiple homes

I installed oracle 8i database version 8.1.6 on my windows NT 4.0 laptop. I need to also install designer 20000 version 6.0 on the same laptop but I get the following errors.
The location e:\oracle \oracle8i is already used as an oracle home for oracle 816 production. It can not be uses as an oracle home for NT.
I then designate a new directory and home name, and get the following errror.
Designer release 6.0 does not support multple home installations and suggest me to change it back to my first choice.
How do I get both the oracle database and designer installed on the same machine without Oracle home problem?

Install designer 6 first in DeFAULT_HOME, directory ORANT. After you've done that, install Oracle 816.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

The browser is running in Win 7.0 64-bit; Norton Internet Suite 21 provides the security functions. There are certain "cloud" solutions also running such as Google Drive, Box, Skydrive and Cubby. The browser behaves similarly in all my machines (the setup and OS is similar to the one described above) and no amount of resetting of "Options" seems to affect it . Nor is it affected by the manner Firefox is closed. It is obviously a bug that needs to be fixed.

Terminal application does not open automatically a window

Suddenly (but don't know when exactly because I don't use this application very often), Terminal will not open by default the window specified in Preferences>Startup. It will simply display nothing and I have to manually choose a window from the menu. I am not sure when this happened for the first time but I am pretty sure that in the past it used to open a window.

Try rebuilding the mailbox (Open mail, select the mailbox, go to the menubar>mailbox>rebuild).
If that does not help, trash a preference file (com.apple.mail.plist) and restart.

Control panel does not show the home page when Newsstand app is open - could this be a bug?

When Newsstand is open and I press the home button twice to access the control panel, the home screen is replaced by the Newsstand app. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a fix?

To access the control panel, press the home button once to get to the home screen. Then swipe up from down near the home button to view the control panel.

Terminal server does not have any installed licenses

Good morning! Faced with a some trouble while configuring Terminal Server (Windows Server 2012 based). I selected licensing mode "Per User" and now I see this message:
“The Remote Desktop Session Host server is in Per User licensing mode and No Redirector Mode, but license server “server name” does not have any installed licenses with the following attributes:
Product version: Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2
Licensing mode: Per User
License type: RDS CALs”
So this is trial using of terminal server - I have 25 days yet but already today I can't connect to server using RDP. There is an error message about absent licensing server. How can I activate licenses in trial mode? Thank you for support.

Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
From the error description it seems that your issue caused by setting up different Licensing mode. We need to install the proper RDS CAL on the License server. If the license server has installed licenses of the other mode, changing the licensing mode
for the terminal server may also resolve the issue.
To change the Licensing mode we can use RD Licensing diagnoser or by PowerShell command.
To change the licensing mode on RDSH/RDVH:
$obj = gwmi -namespace "Root/CIMV2/TerminalServices" Win32_TerminalServiceSetting
$obj.ChangeMode(value) - Value can be 2 - per Device, 4 - Per user

Have you installed License server on Server 2012 and you have RDS CAL of Server 2008 R2?
If that’s the case then first you need to purchase the RDS CAL for server 2012 and then you can configure on server 2012 because server 2012\R2 RDS CAL can work with lower version OS but Server 2008 R2 RDS CAL can’t work on Server 2012\R2.

TS1398 Does not remember my home wifi password

I put in my home wifi password and it does not remember it, if I leave and come back I have to re enter it, I put password in my iPhone and it
T remembers password. Is there any way to save password so I do not have to re enter

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Elements 10 dvd does not loadon my home computer?

I have just purchased a copy of elements 10.
It loaded fine on my lap top.
However it does not load on my home PC. Elements came with additional 'let's create' cd, it loads OK.
I have trie movie dvd as well and it's OK.
To me it seems like my hardware is OK.
Is there a problem with the disk?
Computer is HP Media Center 2005, 2 cpu 2.8GHz, 4GB memory, XP sp 3.
Are there any esoteric limitations built on the disk to limit it to 1 down load?

Elements when you license it on line is limited to two installations for the account that will be set up needed to register the software. Your number came with the the package.
As far as I know there is no code in the DVD that would block reading it. Some DVDs are shallow burned or at the limits of your drive alignment.
The are two things you can try. First on your laptop if you have a DVD write as well as read device, you can copy and burn the DVD image to a blank using this free application;

will let you copy the original DVD to an .iso image and then let you burn that iso to a new blank.
Perhaps you know someone that can do that for you.
If you can network your laptop to your workstation use explorer (for Win) or whatever for the Mac to explore but not open (for execution) the DVD and copy all of the DVD folders to an installation folder on your work station. Another way is to use a large USB flash drive to move copy the files. In one of the folders you'll find the setup.exe file to run for the installation. There might be one for organizer and another for the editor.
This is not very different then using the downloaded version.
If you are not using the barcode of the box for a rebate contact Adobe support with attached sales slip images and and product number code and request a new DVD.
Fortunately I have dual DVD drives on my system and occasionally if a DVD will not read on one it will read on another.

IPhone 4 does not see my home WiFi network anymore.

All of a sudden, a few days ago, my wife's iPhone 4 (initially with iOS 6.0.1, now with iOS 6.1) does not see anymore my home WiFi network (created by a Time Capsule), to which it connected automatically.
This has worked flawlessly for years but now the home network (nothing has been changed to its configuration) does not appear in the list of networks seen by the iPhone 4 (mine, iPhone 5 - iOS 6.1 - has no problem at all) and when trying a manual connection I get an error message saying that the network was not found. When I tested, I was a feet away from the Time Capsule.
I have turned the iPhone off and on again twice, to no avail. Just to try something, I created a new WiFi network from my iMac and it was immediately seen by the iPhone 4.
I don't see what could explain these symptoms and what would be the cure.

Database Instance Install - Does not find Oracle Home

I'm installing SolMan on distributed servers. Oracle 10.20.2 was installed /oracle/product/10.2 (shared db server for sandbox environment); I've set $ORACLE_HOME=/oracle/product/10.2; but SAPINST does not detect and wants to install Oracle under /oracle.
What can I do to have SAPINST see $ORACLE_HOME=/oracle/product/10.2? Is the /oracle hard-coded in the installation? Any suggetsion would be great.

you probably have not installed Oracle with SAP parameters because your ORACLE_HOME should be set as /oracle/[SID]/102_64

Safari 5.1.7 does not return to home page?

After I upgraded to Safari 5.1.7, (MAC OSX 10.7.4) I assigned it a home page to always reopen to. It will not do that even after repeating the steps to set the home page many times. Any others having this problem and what would be a fix for it if someone has found one?
