Navigate Between Multiple Account Log-in and Log-out

I have an iMac running 10.5.8. I have it set up with five user accounts. Each user has to log-in and log-out to navigate between uses. Is there a way to navigate between multiple users without the constant logging in and logging out by the users?

Top right hand corner of the menu bar, right beside the Spotlight icon, is the Fast User Switching menu.

After installing my new product version, when user does log-off and log in again into admin account
or switch from admin account to non-admin account, PATH environment variable shows incorrect path of my product (previous product version’s path) using command prompt.

Why PATH environment variable is not refresh immediately after log off and log in again or Switch

I wouldn't have any expectation of what you are doing to work the way you expect. E.g. why is the %ABC% being replaced at all? There is some help about this ambiguous scenario in the cmd help...
/V:ON Enable delayed environment variable expansion using ! as the
delimiter. For example, /V:ON would allow !var! to expand the
variable var at execution time. The var syntax expands variables
at input time, which is quite a different thing when inside of a FOR
loop.
/V:OFF Disable delayed environment expansion.
So, what's the setting for the /V: switch that your users would be using? Perhaps you should be using the ! instead of the % for your ABC variable?
Oh. There's more below where I found that...
Delayed environment variable expansion is NOT enabled by default. You
can enable or disable delayed environment variable expansion for a
particular invocation of CMD.EXE with the /V:ON or /V:OFF switch. You
can enable or disable delayed expansion for all invocations of CMD.EXE on a
machine and/or user logon session by setting either or both of the
following REG_DWORD values in the registry using REGEDIT.EXE:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Command Processor\DelayedExpansion
and/or
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Command Processor\DelayedExpansion
to either 0x1 or 0x0. The user specific setting takes precedence over
the machine setting. The command line switches take precedence over the
registry settings.
In a batch file the SETLOCAL ENABLEDELAYEDEXPANSION or DISABLEDELAYEDEXPANSION
arguments takes precedence over the /V:ON or /V:OFF switch. See SETLOCAL /?
for details.
If delayed environment variable expansion is enabled, then the exclamation
character can be used to substitute the value of an environment variable
at execution time.
So, I guess the essence of your "bug" will boil down to whether you
need the feature to get the result you want and the
truth of that first sentence but it certainly looks like a "can of worms" to me. ; )

What's the difference between tax account in FTXP and OB40

There are two tax accounts link to same tax code in FTXP for different company codes, but in OB40 I only can assign one account to tax code. What's the difference between tax account in FTXP and OB40?

Hi,
FTXP no need to create a request and it is easy but in OB40 system will ask you create request. and another thing is in FTXP it is at country level but in OB40 it is at chart of accounts level.

How to retrieve users logging-in and logging-out date and times in SharePoint

At the moment I am using SherePoint 2013 with a few tenants.
I am going to have access to the users logging-in and logging-out dates and times.
For instance, I would like to know the detail of the dates and times which a particular user of a tenant has logged-in and logged-out during the past few months.
Any idea?

You can retrieve that info from the IIS log files. Maybe you can use a free IIS reporting tool that I've built and adjust it to your own needs, you can get it here:

Btw, in a web environment usually there is no such thing as the log-out date and time because the end user just stops making requests. So, you've got to take a look at the last request and by default, after 20 minutes the session times out and you can assume
the session has ended.

CUG log in and log out

Hi,
I am testing out the Closed User Group feature. I've created a user group and its members. I applied this group and administrator group to the content page. I have no problem logging in as the admin but when I log in as the user I've created, it shows error page not found. I allowed the group to read pages so I am not sure where the problem is. Also, is there a way to block the cug to log into author?
How do you create a customised log in and log out page?

I've allowed read under page permissions for cug group and members. But still page not found.
Also, http://<host>:<port>/system/console/cug not found.
I've followed the howto guide but /content/geometrixx/en/toolbar/login.html not not exist, so how to I customise login page and how to create a logout page.

Connection between multiple domains of AD and OIM

I am trying to integrate OIM and AD (target resource) and I have 13 domains in AD. For one domain, connection between AD and OIM is established using OOTB connector.

Multiple account contacts - Outlook and Exchange

Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to have contacts of multiple accounts, specifically - work account Exchange contacts via activesync and home Outlook contacts via iTunes, sync to iPad while maintaining them separately? i.e. the contacts does not actually sync between the accounts.
I tired doing this and when I enable the Exchange contacts, I was asked if I want to keep the current contacts that is in my iPad and when I say yes, it warn me able the possibility that the contacts might become duplicated.

I would say no since you have windows and the users guide says:

You can sync contacts with applications such as Mac OS X Address Book, Yahoo!

Sharing an iTunes library between multiple accounts on one machine

I have tried to set up a shared library so that all users on my computer can access the same music. I have tried moving my iTunes folder to the HD under Users, Shared and setting the filepath in the Preferences, Advanced, General to point to that location. It works fine with the main admin account but other users have an empty library despite their paths being altered also.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

It's a misunderstanding that setting the 'iTunes Music folder location' tells iTunes to look at that location.
The iTunes Music folder location is the location where your next imported CD is stored. The song locations however are stored inside the 'iTunes Library' file which is in ./Users/YourUsername/Music/iTunes.
Moving the music folder to another location without 'telling' iTunes normally will lead to loss of links. You will see exclamation marks before the song name, telling that iTunes can't find the files.
Recent versions of iTunes can track a moved folder, when it's moved on the same disk.
The other users will not see this music. You have to copy the 'iTunes Library' file and put it in the iTunes folder of the other user(s).

Instead of copying the 'iTunes Library' file, you can add the entire music folder to each users library.
This will enable every user to apply their own rating (which is not stored in the song file, but in the 'iTunes Library' file).

They will then have full access to the library, which means, every user can add and delete music from the shared library.

Windows 7 takes 15 mins to log in and log off - School Enviroment

Hi All,
We're getting a very weird issue at present, our environment consists of 20
students with Windows 7 SP1. They login with roaming profiles. We've noticed
that when they login it takes up to 15 mins and logging off/shutting down takes
about 15 mins also. We have to re-image the PC's to get them working back to
normal however the problem just comes back!
What we've done so far,
Checked cables - all is ok
Used the Verbrose regedit on start-up to find that we needed to install
this hotfix from Microsoft (KB2537556) (worked for a week but then back to
normal, only for logging in not logging off)
Tried some GP changes
Local GP change - time waiting for network reduced to 15 secs then to 0 - no
change
Local GP change to remove all desktop items to see if that was causing
changes - no change
Only affects Student PC's which are used by all students
Any help would be great :)

First please check to see how big the student’s profiles are, what is the result if we compare it with teacher’s?
You can also enable boot logging in process monitor to find the cause of the slow logon, please refer to this blog.

And check whether you have Enabled “Delete cached copies of roaming profiles” policy setting, enable this policy will delay logoff as some yet-to-be-identified component in the OS is triggering Windows desktop search to cache settings on behalf of each locally
cached profile at logoff.

Is any best practiques, or any informaiton avialble by SAP acording how to configure the SQL logs to minimizate that cases ?
also I will like to ask if there is any information about how much is the impacts of loading data vs change existing data taking into acount the log increase

I dont mean your question about configuration SQL or about SAP MDM?
SAP MDM can work with different SQL Servers Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, Max DB and thats SQL Servers have own configuration parameters for log file management.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
