Navigate BI App in offline mode

Hi Everyone,
I've upgraded OBIEE to 11.1.1.7.1 version for having BI App Designer.
There is the possibility to navigate BI Apps in offline mode after refreshing data?
Thanks in advance.

Could you give us some clear picture what do you mean by navigate BI Apps in offline mode? We can help you.
Thanks,

how to download and save a json file from url to make use of a app in offline mode and if internet is available it should take data from url only and display it in tableview..but  for the second time it should make use of the saved json data to display the table view data in app.

    Hi,
Using F calls a routine and not BAdI.
If record will directly be created then there is no need to write Z program and calling it using F indicator. However, in case there is some logic which can not be written directly in the Dynamic Action then you need to write that logic in a routine and call it using F indicator.

  • Installing Yammer App in offline mode.

We have SharePoint 2013 onpremise instance with internet on. I have successfully added "yammer app for sharepoint" on that instance and I can see that app in 'Manage app licenses' but when i try to add that app on any site collection
it gives the message "You can't add this app here". When I try to go to app details it say " Sorry, we can't seem to connect to the SharePoint Store. Try again in a bit" .
I have given appropriate proxy setting in web.config but in SharePoint ULS logs it gives error.
"Request to office.com with the following
URL:?lc=en%2DUS&type=3&build=15%2E0%2E4420%2E1017&av=OSU150&origin=EC101785291&corr=%7Beb0f799c%2D6abe%2D8010%2D17df%2Df1729bb1c806%7D&clientip=fe80::fde4:cc4d:bd31:de7d%12 caused a URL exception. Maybe marketplace settings are not
setup. Exception details: System.UriFormatException: Invalid URI: The URI scheme is not valid. at System.Uri.CreateThis(String uri, Boolean dontEscape, UriKind uriKind)     at System.Net.WebRequest.Create(String requestUriString)
at Microsoft.SharePoint.Marketplace.OfficeProxy.OfficeProxy.SendWebRequest(String url, Boolean autoRedirect, String userIP, String postBody, String contentType, Encoding encoding, String jobRunIdLogPrefix)"
I assume, error is that proxy is not allowing the app to download through proxy. Is there any way I could download the app in offline mode and install/configure/use it on site collection. Quick help will be really helpfule.

    Hi InderV,
According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you used Yammer app in SharePoint 2013.
Please make sure you have configured domain names, service applications, and URLs for apps for SharePoint 2013. And also make sure you have configured the Subscription Settings and App Management service applications.
More information, please refer to the link:

    I hope this helps.

  • (DESKTOP APP) Can't acsess script in offline mode anymore.

I can’t access my documents using Desktop App in offline mode.
When I go offline all my documents turn marked “RED” even they were marked “GREEN” in online mode.
When I try to open a script in Offline Mode I get the following error: “You are trying to open document in offline mode that has not been downloaded fully from Adobe Story account. …” Even though all documents have been downloaded …
I thought the whole Idea of the DESKTOP APP is to able to work offline.
    Any idea?
    Thanks for your support, Carsten

  • Offline Mode - command line

    Hi,
How can i launch my app in offline mode from a command line ? I have added
<offline-allowed/> to my Jnlp and use the following
    java -Djnlpx.home="c:/program files/java web start" -cp "c:\program files\java web start\javaws.jar" com.sun.javaws.Main http://localhost/tech/tech.jnlp
The application gets downloaded and runs fine. Now if i turn of the Web Server (IIS), then try the above command it won't work. Shoudn't it work as the offline tag is present in local jnlp ? I thought webstart would be using its local cache if the web server is down, as long as the offline tag is present.
With the Offline tag, Offline mode does work fine from webstart application manager even when the Web server is down. Is there a switch to do the same using the above command line ?
    Any response is much appreciated.
    Best regards,
    zap

Marc, thanks for the prompt reply.
I guess its a subtle confusion on my part with the use of offline-mode. From the webstart app manager, i did click the connector plug-icon and the application got launched from the local cache correctly. The scenario is that the the web server is down but the machine still connected to the network and hence my program even does network stuff. Now when i tried to launch the application from command line and still providing a URL argument instead of a path of the Jnlp in the cache, it didn't work. I had thought that either there might be an offline switch in the command line or javaws would automatically launch the jnlp from the local cache even when provided with a bad Url argument. But in the absence of the above, i have now explicitly indicated the local Jnlp path and the following is working fine from the command line in the above context (web server down).
    java -Djnlpx.home="c:/program files/java web start" -cp "c:\program files\java web start\javaws.jar" com.sun.javaws.Main "file:///C:/Program Files/Java Web Start/.javaws/cache/http/Dlocalhost/P80/DMtech/AMTechClient.jnlp"
    Thanks again.
    Best,

  • Mobile POS - Offline Mode

I need to run Mobile POS for a POC with the client... Is there any way to demo the app, without actually installing Store Server and Mobile POS Server... I am looking a way to run the Mobile POS app in offline mode... Please suggest...

    Hi German,
SAP POS and SAP Enterprise POS are architected a little differently. SAP Enterprise POS is built for a "connected" environment and it is anticipated that you would have connectivity all the time to head office. However, we recognized this was not always possible and this is why we built the "Offline Capable Client" option. Now SAP POS is a client/server solution and therefore the solution essentially runs only in the store. If connectivity to the store server is lost, the client will continue to function in an offline mode. You would, however, not have connection to the SAP POS Services such as Returns Authorization, Stored Value or Centralized EFT. Hope this answers your first question.
SAP Enterprise POS has been discontinued and therefore the Mobile POS part of the solution has never expanded past North America for support. I can also tell you that we have completed our final release of SAP POS and only Support Packs are being distributed now.
SAP has now partnered with GK Software to provide a new POS solution called SAP POS by GK. This solution is Java architected solution that provides robust POS capabilities and a superior architecture. Currently, the solution is not delivered as a Cloud option, but I understand it is something that GK is working on.
On to your last question...all SAP POS solutions expect a Retail deployment of ERP and therefore a "non-retail" implementation would not work out of the box. I suppose you could build an integration though.
    Hope this helps!

  • Microstrategy Mobile App crashing on iOS 8.1.2 and above in offline mode

    Hi,
Running iOS 8.2 on iPad Air, 2nd Gen
One of the functionalities of our Microstrategy mobile reports is to enable offline access for its users. As such, the whole data is pre-cached into the device when connected, and this cache is used to power the dashboards when there is no network access.
Until iOS 8, this functionality was working fine. Since the iOS 81.2 update, as soon as the user goes in offline mode and tries to navigate through the dashboards, the Microstrategy app crashes. We are using different models of iPad notably the iPad air.
I tried using a 3rd party tool to monitor the free RAM and observed that RAM falls below 20MB during such navigation on the dashboard in offline mode.
It would be really helpful if someone can suggest a solution.
    Thanks.

    Hi Rachit,
Please contact Microstrategy Support team. They could be solve the issue.

  • Firefox become in Offline mode and unable to open any page and when shut down it remains in processes and freez up, blocking another to be run

When I on my Laptop, Acer Aspire 5735 with Windows 7 Ultimate run Firefox all runs perfectly smooth, all is working as expected, but when I go to Sleep mode or Hibernate (Firefox remains open) after turning on Firefox is not active any more, all open tabs are there but surfing is unavailable. Firefox reports message that it is in Offline mode (but menu File > Work Offline is not checked and if I check it and uncheck it again it doesn't have any impact). Which means If I open new tab and write web address it wont open, if I click any link in opened tabs from before, it wont open anything and it will show message that Firefox is in offline mode. After that I shut down Firefox by using Close(x) button and it disappears from desktop but it remains in memory and active processes not allowing any other instance of Firefox to be run. Finally I shut it down on force (End process) and start another instance and all works perfect. I am not sure is this only my problem with hardware/software configuration so I wanted to share this.

This is a pain but I have resolved it. This is instructions for Windows 7 but it may be the same on other Operating systems.
Note: "''YOUR USERNAME''" relates to the account you log on to Windows with.
    # First go to control '''panel / folder options''' and ''uncheck'' ''''Hide extensions for known file types'''', ''check'' ''''Show hidden files and folders'''' and ''check'' ''''Show hidden operating system files'''' then click ''apply'' and ''OK''.
    # Go here :''' C:\Users\"YOUR USERNAME"\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\''' and copy the '''Profiles''' folder to your desktop.
    # Go here : '''C:\Users\"YOUR USERNAME"\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\''' and copy the '''Profiles''' folder to your desktop. You will need to rename this as you already have a Profiles folder so name it '''Profiles2'''.
    # Uninstall Firefox (''selecting to remove all user settings'') then go here: '''C:\Program Files\''' and delete the ''Mozilla Firefox'' folder.
    # Go here : '''C:\Users\"YOUR USERNAME"\AppData\Roaming''' and delete the ''Mozilla'' folder
    # Go here: '''C:\Users\"YOUR USERNAME"\AppData\Local\ '''delete the ''Mozilla'' folder.
    # Open another browser (i.e.'' Internet Explorer'') and download and install ''C-Cleaner'' here: [http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard]
    # Once installed run the ''''Registry cleaner'''' over and over until no problems are detected and exit the application. You may now uninstall it but it is probably one of the best free apps available as it has a better uninstaller than Windows does and controls which programs run when Windows starts without using the 'msconfig' command.
    # Now download the latest version of Firefox with your other browser and install it then run the application once and close it down.
    # Open the ''Profiles'' folder on your desktop and inside you will find one or more folders with a name ending in '''.default''' (i.e. ''uomifhku.default''). Right click each folder and select '''Properties''' to see which contains the highest amount of data or the bigger file size. Once you have done that open the largest folder and make sure there is nothing in there with '''... @security.compass''' written on it. If there is then delete it. Hold your ''left'' mouse button and move your mouse pointer over all of the files to highlight in blue. Put your mouse cursor on any one of the files, ''right click'' and select 'Copy' to copy them all to system memory and then close the folder.
    # Go here: '''C:\Users\"YOUR USERNAME"\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles''' and find the folder ending in '''.default''' then open it. Now ''right click'' anywhere on the background in the main Payne containing the files and select 'paste'. When prompted to '''Overwrite Files''' and '''Merge Folders''' always accept and proceed. Once done, close the window.
    # Open the '''Profiles2''' folder on your desktop and inside you will find one or more folders with a name ending in '''.default''' (i.e. ''uomifhku.default''). Right click each folder and select '''Properties''' to see which contains the highest amount of data or the bigger file size. Once done, close the window.
Start Firefox and if all is well you should be working again and it back in the state you left it last without the bug.

  • Widgets in offline mode?

    Hello..
Shouldn't the "widget in offline-mode"-setting overrule the settings for each widget?
If I set my RSS/mail to sync every 2 hours, and set the "widget in offline-mode"-setting on, both RSS and mail sync during the online time - which it shouldn't as I understand?
    How do I change this?

The point being, that setting widgets to offline mode, does just that, but you can set mail to sync without using the mail widget, so the app itself is running independently. I tend to update evrything manually and leave my phone on charge over night !

  • Maximum data volume in offline mode supported by Syclo Agentry applications

    Hello Experts,
We are running the SAP Work Manager application 5.3 with Agentry 6.0.
We are using the iOS based client available on the App Store to run the same.
I wanted to ask about how much data volume can be supported by the application when it is running in offline mode.
As the data is stored on the mobile device, is there any upper limit on the data being stored on the device?
Appreciate your help on the same.
    Thank you,
    Arihant Kothari

There is no upper limit beside how much the device memory.  But the more data you put onto the device the reduce performance you will get.  It is recommend only to download what the user needs.

  • Online required to shop when offline mode

dear all, when i try to navigate using offline mode, it will keep asking me to "online required to shop" if i was click no then the navigation is terminated. is it a setting problem?? My mobile is E72

No, its not a settings problem. You are using an older version of maps which do not support free license. Go to map.ovi.com, and follow the links to download Ovi Maps 3.03 for your device. Alternatively, you could go to Nokia Beta Labs website and download the new Ovi Maps 3.04 which has the free licenses.

  • Using both power saving mode and offline mode caus...

So I am having a very strange problem. I have been using the Situations App (formerly Nokia Situations) to automatically put my phone into offline mode, and power saving mode over night. 9pm to 6:30am.
Recently the phone as started refusing to leave the offline mode in the morning. Even if I try to change the profile manually it says "Unable to change profile". The only way I can get out of offline mode is to reboot.
I uninstalled Situations, and manually put the phone into offline mode and power saving mode. By the morning I had the same issue, stuck in offline mode until reboot. So it's not the App causing the problem. I've tried a soft reset, same problem still.
I also noticed that over-night (from fully charged before 9pm) to 6:30am I used about 70% of my charge. (A combination of power saving mode and offline mode is killing my battery!)
I would have to go to work and immediately put my phone on charge! I.e.. 12 hours of offline + power save has drained my battery almost completely.
Last night I decided to use the Situations App to put the phone into offline mode, BUT NOT activate power save mode.
This morning the phone had virtually full charge and it had no problem returning to online mode. So it's ONLY if I use BOTH power-save and offline. (Tonight I will try using power-saving mode and NOT offline mode to see if it's only the power-saving mode causing the issue!)
If I manually enter offline+power-save mode, and then try to return to on-line/non-power-save mode, relatively quickly, i.e.. Not over-night, everything is fine. It's only over night the problems start!
    Any help?
    Rob
PS. I also have the problem where using HSPA+ causes my phone to drop from the network and stop being able to receive/make phone calls. But disabling HSPA+ works around this for now, I think this problem is unrelated however.

I have a similar problem. My 808 PureView loses 70% of its charge overnight if I leave it in normal profile without power-saving. To deal with this issue, I started using the situations app to put the phone in power saving mode overnight. That solved the problem (although I never put my phone to offline mode). This is a weird problem because throughout the day my phone doesn't use 70% of charge, but it does overnight while doing nothing!
I have also experienced the second problem, losing cellular and internet connection, on my 808. I have started a thread to deal with this issue.

I believe it is a firmware bug that causes this problem.

  • N80 stuck in Offline mode

Hi, have already searched all over the net and on these boards to find a reason and solution but nothing concrete as of yet.
First off I have had my N80 on Vodafone contract for about 5 weeks without any major problems apart from poor coverage changing from O2 in my area and what appears to be a temperamental WiFi (only connects when it feels like it!), using standard Firmware v.3.0617.0.6 03-05-2006. I haven't attempted any 'upgrades' or anything that might carry a risk in causing any problems, so am quite confused why I've got this problem? Especially as it appears others only seem to have got this problem with the N80 AFTER upgrading their firmware themselves etc...
Anyway I've just got back from hospital as been in overnight (tonsillectomy ) and since changing between offline and online fine a few of times it got stuck last night. So now when I try to change back to online mode I get an error "Unable to change profile" (I've tried leaving it switched off for 4hours, removing SIM card, battery and memory card numerous times but no luck).
Before I take it into a Nokia Service Centre I'd like to try accessing a 'Test Mode' to take it out of 'Offline Mode' temperarily then try loading up 'Online Mode' again, as I've read on a couple other forums this has worked for someone that got this after flashing to new firmware. So what free and least hassle app. can I download that will allow me to do this without messing with the firmware or anything? (Nokia Software Updater doesn't support N80 :-/ ) uninstalling all Nokia PC Suite software and drivers, then installing 2 other progs and other drivers with a few reboots thrown in for good measure plus not sure on the reliability of this program with regards to 'messing' with my phone).
Sorry for the long post by the way, but I'm not happy about this and having to go to all this trouble to find any info about this never mind an easy solution.
    Thanks In Advance,

Have you tried to borrow a mate's SIM card (will probably need to be vodafone if phone is SIM locked), and also check if SIM card connector is OK, the metal cover is a little weak so might have got bent.
To check if SIM is working you could launch contacts, and go to options - SIM Contacts - SIM Directory to see if card is alive or not.
last gasp solution might be to backup to memory card and then do *#7370# and then restore from memory card. (you'll probably need to reinstall and SIS apps before doing the restore)

  • Mail Account is Stuck in Offline Mode-Can't Send or Receive Mail

A friend's iMac (running Leopard) has a persistent Mail problem. His account is stuck in Offline mode (triangle icon with exclamation point). He cannot send or receive email using the Mail app. His account works fine using Safari. Comcast, the service provider, says all settings are correct.
    Suggestions, please!

    Greetings,
It sounds like the Mail preferences file may be corrupt. Try this:
    Quit Mail if it's running.
Go to Home/Library/Preferences and delete the com.apple.mail.plist file.
Restart Mail and setup the account again; Mail will find the existing account folder automatically. Then see if the problem continues.

  • Can i use the maps application already existing on my i phone in an offline mode?

can i use the maps application -already existing in iphone 4- in an offline mode?

No. It downloads the maps as it needs them.
A very small portion of the map is cached in memory when offline, so you can see the last area you looked at, but as soon as you want to move the map, or look elsewhere it will need an internet connection to download from Google.
There are standalone map apps available in the AppStore if you search for the area you want.
