Navigate to a Website from Infoview

HI,
Could someone tell me how can i, navigate to a such website from a Infoview Document.
The only requisite that i have for this: the website must be open inside Infoview, aslike is showed in Crystal Reports Samples when business object site is openned by clicking in Extreme Montain Bikes logo...
Thanks in advance,
JHF

Hello Joo,

  • Navigating to a website, from a previous one

Sorry if this question is a bit confusing.... Eitherway, what I'm basically trying to do is send javascript function by using GET to send it through the URL. The problem that I seem to have run into is that the website I need to send the javascript function to requires an anthentication key, that can be found within the form on the website, but changes with each refresh. I can get the key from the website page easy enough, however when I then try to goto the correct address using that key it doesn't work, presumably because the key has changed since it's not starting from the instance that I got the key from....
Oh... and I guess I might as well make sure it's even possible to do this, so.. is it technically possible to send a javascript function through the URL? Or better yet is it possible to, through java, somehow just send the function itself?
Once again, sorry if the question isn't very clear :/.

I suppose either you didn't read my question or it wasn't clear....
I'm writing a program in java to do this, but because the authentication key is only valid for 1 instance, and since when I create an URL variable for a website that contains the GET data is a differant instance, I'm wondering if theres a way to navigate to a website, using the same instance, as in, going FROM previous one.

  • Can't navigate the Ryanair website with Firefox but can with Internet Explore

My IP is Sky.com. Their website is not displaying correctly because the search box does not move to the left and anything typed into it redicts back to the home page. Also the ryanair website displays but does not allow one to navigate the whole website. None of these errors occur when using Internet Explorer. This problem only occured today.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

  • Can not schedule from InfoView

    Hi,
I have a newly installed BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 with SP2 installation and I have loaded my first Crystal report into a folder for testing. This is not the first installation of this type I have done and I followed a set of install instructions that have been used for other successful installations.
The problem I am experiencing is that when I attempt to schedule my Crystal report from within InfoView it correctly shows me the schedule options page, but does not allow me to move off the 'Instance Title' tab. When the schedule page is first shown there is an error icon in my browser (IE8) in the bottom left hand corner which when clicked on shows 11 or 12 'Object expected' error messages for schedule.aspx.
If I try to schedule the report through the CMC i don't get this problem.
I can view the report without any problems from InfoView.
Looking at the event log on the server I only get a few warnings relating to a missing yui folder (same as on some of my other installations and I have a call open with SAP on this subject).
The installation is entirely using IIS and no TomCat or java interface was selected during the install process.
Any ideas what is going wrong on this server that's stopping me from scheduling reports?
If no ideas, then any suggestions as to where I can look to get more information on this error?
    Thanks,
    Mike

Looking at the www log at the time I request a schedule I can see that there are a number of 404.0 errors recorded. These relate to the following requested files:
    /PlatformServices/js/callback.js.ashx
    /PlatformServices/js/utils.js.ashx
    /PlatformServices/js/_iframehelper.js.ashx
    /PlatformServices/js/_singlePageActionSetSingleActionUtils.js.ashx
The /PlatformServices/js/ fodler exists and the configured user has permissions to access and read from that folder. The xxx.js files exist in the folder, but they do not exist as xxx.js.ashx extensions. I think that the ashx extension is an indication of a script but  Idon't know if this is how it should be called. Is it likely that my problem is caused because of this naming convention?

  • Navigating to a website from within my app...

    Hi all,
I would like to click on a menu selection, open a browser and navigate to a website. How would I do that?
    regards,
    Mat

    Hi Matll,
I've noticed you've been posting a lot of questions lately. Did you know there is a search page? You can use it to find answers to a lot of your questions. Here is a link to the advanced search page.
    http://search.java.sun.com/search/java/advanced.jsp
Here's a search I made to search for 'open', 'browser' and 'window' in the title of the forums.

  • How to block a page (from a business job searching website) from appearing on my screen without me searching for it?

How to block a page (from a business job searching website) from appearing on my screen without me searching for it?

    Look under:
    System preferences > Network > WiFi > ( Advanced ) > DNS
    System Preferences > Network > Ethernet > ( Advanced ) > DNS
There should be two or more IP addresses there.
Those addresses should be EXACTLY the ones your current ISP provided when you signed up for service. They do not start with 85 or 86 -- those are hacker sites.
If you are in the US, you could also use OpenDNS:
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220

  • HT204053 I cannot log into the iCloud website from my PC laptop. No issues linking to email on iPhone or on my MacBook. Please help?

I have an original @mac.com email address and also use my address at [email protected]
I have no issues logging into iCloud account from my MacBook or accessing my account from my iPhone.
But anytime I try to log into the iCloud website from my work PC laptop, it tells me my Apple ID or password are incorrect.  I try logging in with both address endings, @mac and @me and nothing.
    Any ideas? Thanks!

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")

  • How do I transfer a downloaded offline website from my macbook pro to an ipad2?

I want my sales team to use an ipad2 to sell and present our products.  I have a website built that fully works offline which is our catalog.
Now I want to transfer that website from my macbook pro onto a 'master ipad' so I can then sync up the other ipads with the 'master ipad'.
How do I transfer the site to the ipad?

Have you tried resetting the iPhone and rebooting the Mac?  I don't think iPhoto has an import size limitation, but if you still have trouble then perhaps using a cloud service like Dropbox as an intermediary will get the job done.

  • How can I edit my website from another computer? and how can I create a new website next to the one, I have already? Can anyone help, please?

How can I edit my website from another computer? and how can I create a new website next to the one, I already have? Can anyone help, please?

Move the domain.sites file from one computer to the other.
The file is located under User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites.  Move this file to the same location on the other computer and double click and iWeb will open it.  Remember, it is your User Library that you want and not your System Library, as you will not find iWeb there.
Just create a new site on the same domain file and it will appear below the other site.  If you want them side by side then duplicate your domain file and have one site per a domain file and they can then be side by side.

UPDATE: I had 36 Safari windows open and minimized on the dock from my last session; 20 of those windows failed to open b/c Safari "couldn't find the server"; I just went to the URL bar of all 20 pages and clicked return, and all 20 pages loaded perfectly, without dropping any images or losing formatting. This is a puzzle!!!

  • How to keep the right sidebar on this website from going under the main content (center) column?

Hi...is there a way to keep the right sidebar on this website from going under the main content (center) column when the browser window is made smaller? It would be great if the middle (main content) column could get smaller instead of the sidebar moving under the text when the window is made smaller. I'm working with a fluid layout and this is the first time I've tried this. Any help would be appreciated. Here is the link to the website:

  • Logon failed error when launching Web Intelligence from InfoView

After changing the Web Intelligence preferences in BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.0 Java InfoView to launch the desktop or rich client option, I get a "logon failed" error message. However, when I launch Web Intelligence Rich Client from 'Start > Programs >...' directly, the same logon information is successful. The logon is set to use Enterprise authentication which is the same logon information used to launch InfoView and Web Intelligence.
Why does the logon fail when I launch Web Intelligence from InfoView?
Edited by: Ana on Mar 31, 2009 3:43 PM

I deleted the report completely and rebuilt it from scratch, and also added names for the data table and data set generated within the project and finally, success!
Jason, thanks so much for your help which got me moving on this again.
