Navigation Attiributes not populated properly

Hi,
I am trying to create a POS. I am assigning the Object which has navigational attributes to the POS. When I click on the display navigation attributes, the attributes are not being displayed properly in the POS. Is there something I need to do to display the attributes properly ?

Try activating the POS.
Right click on the POS you will get 2 options Activate and Deactivate, Donot Deactivate just press activate button.
Then you should be able to see the activated POS and all the navigational attributes in the navigational attributes button, by the way you will have to go into the tab / button which says navigational attributes on top of all the characteristics. I think there you should find your navigational attribute.
By the way did you activate the info object once you said this attribute is a navigational attribute, did you give any text to the attribute once you declared it as navigational attribute??

Here is an issue where one of the amount field not populating properly.For some opportunities the amount field will be just displyed as'0' but for some opprtunities the amount field is displaying as'$0'.The data we are pulling is from CRM.

did you already have a look in data in cube?just to make sure,try to display cube's data using List cube transaction .Take this amount field,corresponding Currency Key,and you rmost impotant characteristics...and check whether all records are having entry in 'currency' column?

Values are not populated properly - if then else conditon

I 've a requirement like...
If meinh = ZTU then lfimg/umrez else display the values of lfimg
I 've used if then else condition afterthat i mapped to target field lfimg. But, when i check the queue the result displays correctly, but when i execute the mapping from Test tab it displays all the values for LFIMG
My question here is ...Why the output is not display properly after i use if then else condition
Help me how can i get proper values to display at target

As my understanding you are giving both cases true and false the same input.
If meinh = ZTU then lfimg/umrez else display the values of lfimg
if meinh = ZTU
then umrez
else lfimg
try this
if still its not working write a simple UDF for the same.

Navigation Attributes not populated

Hi ,
I am stuck in a situation with the Master data Navigational Attributes.
I created a "ZMAT" master data infoobject which has the Navigation attributes like "Product Platform". Everything has worked in quality and development but after transporting it to
production the navigational attribute is not being populated in the listcube.
I loaded the data in the master data infoobject and it gets loaded successfully.
I can even see the data for the attribute in the ZMAT master data "manage master data" after the load but when I try to select the navigational attribute in the listcube it doesn't populate anything for that attribute .
I have trying moving the transports thrice from dev to prod but no respite.
Request someone to look and provide a resolution.
Your help will be highly appreciated and points awarded as well
It is worth mentioning that the master data IO is a copy of Material and customized.

Hello,
Make sure you are checking the same 'ZMAT' Keys in both Transaction (Cube) and Master data. Also check whether there is some compounding charateristics to ZMAT. In that case, consider compounded characteristics as well as a Key while comparing the Transaction and master data.

WGM Home directory full path not populating properly

I'm setting up WGM with mobility as all of my network users are on laptops. For some reason some of the users are working and others not. When I try to log in with some I just get told that the user couldn't log on because an error occured. As far as I can work out this is because the home directory for the user on the network can't be found and so a local one can't be created either.
The only difference I can see between the users (bearing in mind this is a brand new network set up so I haven't made many changes) is that for the users that do work when I select the SharePoint I want to use under the home tab in user settings, the Full Path has ...er ...well the full path in it: /network/servers/mynetwork/Volumes/myharddrive/myfolder/myuser
whereas ones that don't work just have the folder name: myuser
This not only happens when I use the auto populated list as well as when I create one from scratch.

You're right, DNS implementation in Leopard server is very poor, especially considering how critical it is.
Time Machine for every user is a bit of a tricky one - I've been thrashing this one out in another thread, and there is an answer, but it's not ideal.

The answer on how to do it is at the end of the thread, but make sure Time Machine isn't used as the only method of Disaster Recovery on a corporate network, it's really only good for a useful extra.
As for an internal and external DNS server, the answer I'm afraid is "not really". The way you have it set up is pretty good, from a redundancy point of view. However, if you have to use an external DNS server, it's always going to be slower, because of the extra distance over slower links that the DNS request has to travel.
Bear in mind, it has to go through your router and/or firewall, all the way out to a busy DNS server somewhere out on the net (probably over a number of routers on the way), then it has to come back the same way before your client can actually resolve the URL to an IP address.
Compare that to internal where it has to travel a matter of metres over a (I assume) 100mbps network to a DNS server that's not processing very many requests.
The only workaround I could suggest would be to employ a second DNS server (perhaps a proxy?) within your network assuming you can separate it from whatever causes your primary DNS server to go down. The costs aren't prohibitive - you could do it on a Mac Mini + cost of a second Leopard Server license.

Page navigation buttons not working properly

Hi,
I am having a multilingual Java Application (e.g. English, Japanese, French...). In this application there are reports which display the data using locale parameter (like en_US, ja_JP etc.) to display the data in selected language.
The problem comes up when I see Japanese reports on English operating system machine and vice versa.
When I click any button of page navigation it changes the page number but does not load and display the page accordingly.
It's like when I run the report it displays the first page, then clicking on Next button brings 2 in navigation field but the report would still show first page, same happens for 3, 4.... all pages.
The other navigation buttons also do not work, they change the page number but display only the first page.
This problem does not occur when I see Japanese reports on Japanese OS machine and English reports on English OS machine.
However my clients need the first case, Japanese reports should work on English OS machine also.
Please advise urgenly.

I resolved the above issue by removing the call to method setProductLocale in jsp file (which was really unnecessary in code as product locale is meant to set languange for crystal report design environment ).
Actually the problem was I had set locale at two place
1. using setLocale method of ReportClientDocument object) after the initialization of report client document object
2. using setProductLocale method of CrystalReportViewer object after the initialization of Crystal Report Viewer object
After commenting out code for setProductLocale, reports in all languages and all their functionalities started working 100% perfectly.

Chain and store data not populating properly in BPARTNER

Hi all,
There is a field 0bpartner2 in the data source name 0BP_RELATIONS_ATTR. This field is also there in DSO1 which fetches the data from the mentioned datasource. Then using routines this field 0bpartner2 splits into two-->chain and store which are getting populated in the next level of DSO, DSO2 which finally goes into 0bpartner infoobject.
But for two particular bp nos the values of chain and store are not getting populated.
Checked in RSA3, the data is OK, but in the PSA level the data is not there.
This is happening only for this two particular bp nos.
Kindly help.

at info package data selection don't have selection please check the below options.
1. go to ECC -> enter the t code- RSA5 -> select the data source -> go to change mode -> select the check boxes possibility.
2. if not there come to BI system select the data source go to change mode -> select selection menu -> browse and choose the X- selection possible.
now it available selections at info package - while seeing the RSA3 data give the selection at info package

Dependent LOVs not populated properly

Hi,
I have an issue regarding dependent LOVs in one of our pages.
1. Child Lov is unable to fetch the results depending on Parent Lov value. Parent Value is not added to the where clause in the query while getting results for child lov.
This is happening only when the user enters some value like (%) in child text box and tab out.
2. If the user directly clicks on child lookup and then enter some search criteria and Click Enter. It works as expected. In this case it is taking the parent lov value and giving the results properly.
I think we may be missing some property to be set in case1. If anyone aware of this issue please help me out with a solution.
It is related to banks and branches in banks... Due to this issue when I search for branches after selecting a bank.... all the branches are shown in the results.

BUG - JSF InputText boxes not populating properly

Okay,
Here's the situation:
I have an edit page (JSF Web) that allows the user to pick an item to edit from a SelectOneMenu tag. When they pick the item the page rerenders and shows the object associated with the selected item allowing the user to edit the object in various InputText controls.
First of all the ValueChangeListener event doesn't work for the SelectOneMenu tag - the event is not recognized in the backing bean (with or without immediate set, the event code is never accessed.) - and so I had to tie the change to the pressing of a command button.
Upon pressing the command button, in the action event, I find the object from the selected item. Now I want to set the input text boxes in the screen to the various values of the object. There are two ways to do this. I either set the value property of the bound (using the binding property) backing bean to the objects property - the code looks like this:

This results in a fatal error that halts the OC4J.
Alternatively; I added various properties to the backing bean one for each property of the object and bound the object's properties to these and then bound the user interface's value properties to the bean properties. For example, imagine a user interface control InputText tag called "name" has it's value property bound to a property on the bean called Name which returns String. This configuration runs but the InputText control when the page is re-rendered (after the submit), is empty even though I've set the value property. However, if I add an OutputText control to the page and bind it's value property to the same String property of the bean, the outputText control correctly shows the value of the object.
The code looks like this:

Yes - this really is a bug. Any changes to make to the selectItems tag through the properties dialog rewrites the tag source code to seperate the selectOne tag and the selectItems tag. For example, before you use the dialog, you tag code could look like this:

id="selectOneMenu1">
<f:selectItems value="#{backing_showFactory.allFactories}"
binding="#{backing_showFactory.selectItems2}"
id="selectItems2"/>

After the use of the dialog the code will be rewritten as:

id="selectOneMenu1"/>
<f:selectItems value="#{backing_showFactory.allFactories}"
binding="#{backing_showFactory.selectItems2}"
id="selectItems2"/>
Notice, the tags are now seperated instead of the selectItems tag being encased in the selectOneMenu tag.

ALV selection field of displayed table is not populated properly

Hi,
I am using OO ALV in my screen. I have two tabs. In one tab I display one ALV output in edit mode with selection option and passing internal table field for box_selection. In the other tab I am displaying another ALV output but in display mode.
My problem is when I switch from tab in edit mode to tab in display mode and back to tab in edit mode, then select a line on the tab in the edit mode, the method I am calling:
CALL METHOD grid1->get_selected_rows
    IMPORTING
      et_index_rows = i_sel_alvrows[].
would return table "i_sel_alvrows" empty.
If i do not switch between the tabs, the ->get_selected_rows logic works perfectly.

This is example:--> if you have selected a line in edit tab and going to display tab and coming back to edit tab, at the point your selected line is there in edit tab as in selected mode ?

Navigation does not work properly, does anybody know why?

Hi,
I am trying to make the http://www.exadel.com/tutorial/jsf/jsftutorial-kickstart.html example work in a NetBeans project. It is a simple Input name -> Greetings example. However, when I enter my name in the input page and click on the 'Say Hello' button, my browser stays on the same page and I don't know why !!!
My faces-config.xml is the following:

In the faces config file, the view ID string must start with a "/" fix the code from:
    <navigation-rule>
        <from-view-id>inputname.jsp</from-view-id>
        <navigation-case>
            <from-outcome>greeting</from-outcome>
            <to-view-id>greeting.jsp</to-view-id>
        </navigation-case>
    </navigation-rule>to something like:
    <navigation-rule>
        <from-view-id>/inputname.jsp</from-view-id>
        <navigation-case>
            <from-outcome>greeting</from-outcome>
            <to-view-id>/greeting.jsp</to-view-id>
        </navigation-case>
    </navigation-rule>** Use the appropriate path inside your web application

Filter and navigation not working properly

Hi Gurus,
I have two reports - report1(source) and report2(target) report.
In report1, it shows two columns - Market_ID, Amount_sold
In report2, it shows two columns - Market_ID, Reasons(where Market_ID is made prompted)
In report1, I have made the Value Interaction as 'Navigate' and the target as 'path of report2' in Column properties ->Column Format
But, when I click on Market_ID(report1), it is NOT showing the details of that particulat Market_ID(report2).
It is showing the details of whole Market_ID in report2. That means, the filter is not working properly.
Is there any method in which the report2 shows the details of particular Market_ID which is selected from report1(market_ID)?

yes you can,
in your source add a master_name column and in that make the navigation.
in the master_id column go to column format and style options and check the Use Custom CSS style option and type,
display: none
now in your source the master_id column will get hidden. in your target make the master_id prompted.
now click on the master_name in your source, your target will get filtered by the corresponding msater_id

Navigation bar does not work properly in CS3

The navigation bar shows only the up and the over pictures in
all browsers. It works properly in a framed site, showing all 4
different pictures. But not in the css-layout based site with files
from the same template, which show all in the same window. Does
anyone know where this problem comes from?

but here's the
executive summary -
1. They are difficult for inexperienced users to get right -
a) pages will not align properly if one of them throws
scrollbars
b) links will not work when targeted into different frames
without
hand-modification of code
c) new (and inexperienced users) have problems with the idea
of a single
frameset page that only specifies constituent frames
d) new (and inexperienced users) can be confused by the fact
that the
<title> tag on the frameset page is the one that
appears in the browser
e) etc., etc., etc.
2. They are difficult for your visitors
a) depending on how savvy you are, you may have removed
scrollbars to
'fix' #1b, not thinking that you have also removed those
scrollbars for
people with smaller viewports
b) search engines will index *all* pages within your
frameset, meaning
that a navigation frame or a content only page MAY be shown
in a search hit
list - imagine the confusion when the page is loaded without
navigation, for
example

With js rollovers it's only *easy* to achieve the up and the
over states.
With CSS rollovers, you can achieve up, over, over while
down, and down.

Process scheduler server list is not populating in SERVER LIST page.

Need urgent help.
We have PeopleSoft Campus Solution 8.52,9.0 application. We had two Process Scheduler server one in Linux and one in NT. There was one issue that all the jobs which processed were getting into success and reports were also posted,however it was not updating the database with data. In order to solve it I created a new Process Scheduler server at onther NT machine. This time when I navigated to Process Monitor --> Server List pages it has no data there. I ran COBOL job but it went to successful and report posetd but nothing was updated into the database.
Please help me out of this situation.

Thanks a lot RCC for your response.
There is actually three issues
1)Process Monitor Server List page has no data.
2)As I go to run a process in the system process request I see that the Server Name,Reccurence,Type and Format are not workin or they are disabled.
3)Cobol jobs which I am running through PSNT is not updating database,however the Process is getting successful and reports are having posted status,but when I go to see Reports it is not having any output file its blank.I tried to check the reports at webserver,there were also no reports were published,However it works properly for all other Process.
For the first problem it has got resolved the solution is in this "Process Monitor Server List Not Populating With Data (Doc ID 615323.1)"( for those who face this problem in future :)).
For your query RCC, I have named same name of PSNT which was earlier in the different machine.

Multiprovider is not acting properly

Hi Gurus,
Need some help on the following issue.
A multiprovider built on 4 cubes and profit centre info objects. For a new reporting requirement on this multiprovider, i had to filter based on navigational attribute. i found after filtering using that navigational attribute one key figure is not populating in the report at all. After detail analysis on the issue i found that the navigatinal attribute is enabled on the multiprovider level but in one of the cube where the unpopulated key figure is based, the navigational attribute is not enabled. So, i enabled the navigational attribute on the cube level. But the key figure is still not populating in the report.
I did the list cube both on multiprovider and on the infocube,
In the infocube's listcube the navigatinal attribute is populating along with key figure.
In the multiprovider's listcube i choose all the field along with field infoprovider to see from which cube data is coming.
I found that navigational attribute is populating for all the cube except for the infocube where the key figure is based on.
I have done some analysis in RSRT using the report. I have run the report with multiprovider explain option. It shows in the infocube some genenal restriction for the navigational attribute. That is why the navigatinal attribute is excluded.
Please help me.

Hi Mitu,
Right click on the navigational attribute in the multiprovider and choose identify/assign.
Check the assignment of the navigational attribute of the infoprovider(cube) with respect to the navigational attribute of the multiprovider.
The checkbox for the assignments should be checked for all the four infocubes.
