Navigation Attributes not populated

Hi ,
I am stuck in a situation with the Master data Navigational Attributes.
I created a "ZMAT" master data infoobject which has the Navigation attributes like "Product Platform". Everything has worked in quality and development but after transporting it to
production the navigational attribute is not being populated in the listcube.
I loaded the data in the master data infoobject and it gets loaded successfully.
I can even see the data for the attribute in the ZMAT master data "manage master data" after the load but when I try to select the navigational attribute in the listcube it doesn't populate anything for that attribute .
I have trying moving the transports thrice from dev to prod but no respite.
Request someone to look and provide a resolution.
Your help will be highly appreciated and points awarded as well
It is worth mentioning that the master data IO is a copy of Material and customized.

Hello,
Make sure you are checking the same 'ZMAT' Keys in both Transaction (Cube) and Master data. Also check whether there is some compounding charateristics to ZMAT. In that case, consider compounded characteristics as well as a Key while comparing the Transaction and master data.

Navigational attribute not showing correct values

Hello,
I have a Notification cube Z_QM_C09, Apart from other infoobjects, it has Notification (0Notificatn) and one of its Nav attr 'Esc Category (0NOTIFICATN_/BIC/Z_ESC_CAT).
The Master data for one of the Notification is as shown below

However, when I check the data in the cube for the same Notification, the data is as shown below;

Can anyone throw some light on why this would be happening?

Hi,
I believe Master data was loaded after the Transactional Data.
You can do a full load for the Master data from the Data soruce from the Navigational Attribute is beng updated.
And then acitvate it, No need to load the Transaction data as in the cube the value of Notificaiton is being refered from Master data.
The above load will not have any side affects and is worth trying for.

Navigation Attiributes not populated properly

Hi,
I am trying to create a POS. I am assigning the Object which has navigational attributes to the POS. When I click on the display navigation attributes, the attributes are not being displayed properly in the POS. Is there something I need to do to display the attributes properly ?

Try activating the POS.
Right click on the POS you will get 2 options Activate and Deactivate, Donot Deactivate just press activate button.
Then you should be able to see the activated POS and all the navigational attributes in the navigational attributes button, by the way you will have to go into the tab / button which says navigational attributes on top of all the characteristics. I think there you should find your navigational attribute.
By the way did you activate the info object once you said this attribute is a navigational attribute, did you give any text to the attribute once you declared it as navigational attribute??

Navigational Attribute not found on Query for an Infoset

Hi Experts,
I have created Infoset on two DSO's and when i'm trying to query on it i'm not able to find the Navigational Attribute which are selected on both of the DSO's.So in order to get the Navigational Attribute on the query of the Infoset what should i need to do.

There is no other way to achieve this from the Infoset....
As suggested by Tulsi.. u can include them in the DSO level.. but it requires enhancement and reloading etc.. and its costly..
Or is it possible to join the master data infoobject if the design works out.. but this also depends how many number of Attributes from how many number of MD that u are looking into..!!

Navigational attribute: "not assigned"

Hi all,
I have a strange situation where I have a characteristic (0NOTIFICATN) in a cube (0QM_C10), where the (navigational) attributes of 0NOTICATN show up as "# not assigned" when I try to report on them.
I have checked under master data maintanence for 0NOTIFICATN that for all notification the attributes have the value I expect.
The attribute I am most interesed in is notification type (0NOT_TYPE), and I have found out that if I add the infoobj 0NOT_TYPE to the cube I can report on it. That means that instead of getting the notification type as an navigational attribute on notification I have to add it to the cube...
(The same argument holds for several other infoobjects and several cubes.)
Am I missing something obvious here?

That is, it works in other cubes, that had the same problem, but it does not work with the cube 0QM_C10 that I have modified several times during my debugging...
I get the error, that the infoobject 0NOTIFICATN__0NOT_TYPE does not exist. I have checked that 0NOTIFICATN is in the cube and that it is a navigational attribute....

Data for navigational attributes # Not Assigned

Hello friends,
Our report is based on Multiprovider which is based on 5 cubes.
These five cubes has one particular Characteristics which hasnavigational Attribute .
We are using the navigational attribute directly under free characteristics Tab in Query.
We are also using Characteristic in Query - for characateristic data is shown in report.
In report we are able to see data as # Not Assigned for navigational attributes.
When we checked data at info object level for that characateristic, correct data is shown for that navigation attributes.
We have checked following settings
At characteristic level - Uncheck Attributes only
At cube level all navigational attributes are checked
In Multi provider identification table - This navigational attribute is checked for all five cubes
In Multi provider Navigational Attributes Tab - This naviagtional attributes is checked
Activation of Master data was done once again
we are not getting any other ideas, can any one please suggest us where the problem is?

I solved my problem
1. Activate the navigation attribute(s) on the underlying basiscube, from which the query displays data
2. Choose the navigation attribute(s) for all relevant basiscubes (multicube -> Change -> Button Identification)

Yes you need to switch on Navigational charateristics at DSO/CUBE and then add them to MultiProvider Dimension and assign then assign the fields.

Integrated Planning - Navigation attribute not shown for Planned figures

Hello,
I have created a Input ready query to get the actual figures from previous years and enabling users to enter the planned figures. I have created Planning functions to copy and revaluate.
Reg   Account    Actual         Planned
US         123000     $3000         $4000
US         124200     $5000         $6000
I have one more report where it shows the Actual & Plan comparision.
In the Actual & Plan comparision report I have an additional Navigational attribute SIC code to be shown for each account.
My Actual & Plan comparision report should ideally be seen like below.
Reg   Account    SIC Actual         Planned
US         123000      3026         $3000         $4000
US         124200      4325         $5000         $6000
But it is showing as below where it has # for Planned figures and it shows blank.
Reg   Account     SIC   Actual         Planned

SIC Code is a navigational attribute of account. What changes do I have to do to make the SIC code to be shown for planned figures.

I figured it out. I didnt assign the navigation attribute to the plan cube in the multiprovider. Thanks!!

Last Logon User name query attribute not populating

I have created a query that looks for all desktops in my environment and returns the hostname of the PC, the computer system model, and the last logon user name of each machine. The problem is about 200 PCs do not have the last logon user name field
populated. The remaining 350 desktops and all laptops are reporting this. I have been looking at this for the last several days but cannot find a reason why. I verifed the PC have had at least one person log into them. I thought maybe
it is an issue with the SCCM client on the PCs so I have tried unistalling/reinstalling the client on a few machines. After the reinstall is complete, the query shows my domain account as last logged into that PC, as I would expect. However, no
matter how many times I log into and out of the same PC with a different domain account, the query doesn't show this. Can anyone help with some direction with this? I am running Config Manager 2012 SP1 CU2.

Audit logon events it set to capture success and failures. The Heartbeat Discovery is set to send every week.
Check your DDM log on site server and look for any error messages.
I personally run my heartbeat discovery every day.
You can try to adjust your discovery interval and see if that helps. If you can run it manually and it works, I can't think of anything that it would prevent it from working site wide with currently scheduled interval.
Also, if you have adjusted your aged data maintenance tasks, this is something worth noting:
The default schedule for Heartbeat Discovery is set to every 7 days. If you change the heartbeat discovery interval, ensure that it runs more frequently than the site maintenance task Delete
Aged Discovery Data, which deletes inactive client records from the site database. You can configure the Delete Aged Discovery Data task
only for primary sites.

Master data values(navigational attributes) are not turning up in the cubes

Hi all,
I have a cube, which contains 0cust_sales as master data and i have clicked on the navigational attributes of 0cust_sales like customer grp1, 2,3,4,5 etc
But then i have the 0cus_sales number 6100034 with all the navigational attributes turning up when i look up at the master data in the quality system.
But then for the same customer number i can see the customer number but no navigational attributes are turning up!!
I have activated master data and the master data contents are active!!
Can anyone pls update me on this!!

It is not part of dimension only 0CUST_SALES is part of dimension,
And ocust_sales-customer grp1, 2,3,4,5 are navigational attributes in the info cube. I have just included them as navigational attributes enabled in the info cube.
And when i loaded the data for customer say 6111035 from the ods to the cube. I can see the data for customer 6110035 but cant see the navigational attributes getting populated.
But when i look at the same in the master data for 0cust_sales i can see the values for the navigational attributes too!!

Navigation Attribut is not shown in two rows in the Query

Hello,
we are using a multiprovider with the infoobject 0material. In the multiprovider we use a navigation attribut MH_PR_ST of 0material.
Normally, the query rows should show the material number and the corresponding attribut MH_PR_ST, but in some materials in the multiprovider exist some rows where the attribute is shown correctly from the master data table and in some rows the attribute is not shown.
Therefore in the query two rows are shown:
Material No. MH_PR_ST Key Figure
4711           A                    10
4711           #                       5
Sum                                  15
With all other navigation attributs there is only 1 row.
Do you have any good ideas?

Hi,
Assuming the second row comes from one of your basic cube; since it looks that 0MATERIAL is populated (it is coorectly identified), ensure that the identification of the nav 0MATERIAL__MH_PR_ST is done properly in your multiprovider.

Attributes are not displaying in Navigational Attributes area of DSO.

I have created a DSO and have included Info Objects 0SOLD_TO & 0SHIP_TO. In the Navigational Attributes area, its attributes are not getting displayed even though the attributes are in the info object.

Hi Shreem,
If you want attributes of any master objects in navigational attributes section, you have make them navigational attributes while defining base info object.
Please follow the below steps.
1) goto RSA1, search for 0SOLD_TO & 0SHIP_TO info objects and open them
2) goto edit mode of info object and goto attributes section.
3) here you will find for every object "DIS" --- this means these attributes are display attributes.
4) If you want to change any attribute to NAV, then click on "Pencil Mark".
5) Now you can see text NAV instead of DIS for that attribute.
activate the info object and goto DSO, now you will see that attribute in navigational attribute folder.

Navigational Attribute Transported but not reflected.

Hi,
Couple of Navigational Attributes were transported from Dev to QA.
But its not reflecting in QA now.
In the Transport Log its giving the warning message message as,
Navigation attribute ZABCLOC_ZZLINETYPE1 is deleted (not in characteristic ZABCLOC)
Navigation attribute ZABCLOC_ZZABCLOC1 is deleted (not in characteristic ZABCLOC)
Please let me know, how to transport the required Navigational Attr from one system to another system

if the primary object is not active then u will face issues..
here as its quality u can try deleting the P table content of the Infoobject and then try activating that infoobject in the Quality system with the program.. some this like it starts with RSDG or RSVDIOBJ Activate.. u can try this in ur system...
and then try reimporting it with the overwrite mode.. this is will solve ur issue.

Navigational Attribute is not properly displaying

Hello,
We have a "Sales Group" navigational attribute YCUST_SAL-YSALE_GRP in a BW report. We have adjusted a sales group for a customer in R3 from F10 to E49 and hte same has been pulled to BW side,.
we have activated the master data manually and we are able to see the new data is available against the customer.
But when we refresh teh report, for that customer we are able to see only F10 as the sales group,.
For cross check, we have sales group display property also. where we are able to see E49.
Please let us know why we are seeing inconsistency between display and navigational attribute for a same infoobject.

It seems Master data is not activated properly....
Whether the query is fetching data from Aggregates, if so you have to do Attribute changerun for this infoobject
goto SE38 and run this program RSDDS_AGGREGATES_MAINTAIN it will Info object name...Provide your info object and execute...
Your problem will solve.
