  • TS2580 Only my welcome page published, not the links to the other pages.  My server says they are there, but not showing up, any ideas?  Thanks.

I developed my web site and published it with myserver.  However only the first page shows up, no other pages, and the links to the other pages are missing on the welcome page.  The host tells me that it is a software problem, that the pages are on the server.  Pleae advise?
    Thank You.

Rest assured, your pages are there :
    http://www.lynxag.com/Welcome.html
    http://www.lynxag.com/Products.html
    http://www.lynxag.com/Photos.html
    http://www.lynxag.com/Contact_Us.html
    http://www.lynxag.com/feed.xml
You could have determined the presence of the pages by typing the pagenames in the URL.
The second option was to connect to the server and see with your own eyes what is there.
And since you do not use a Sitename in the URL, I assume you uploaded the files yourself instead of letting iWeb do the honours.
Regarding the Photo page, I do not see any photos on the page. Yet they are on the server too :
    http://www.lynxag.com/Photos_files/Media/
If you did put the files on the server yourself, verify that you did upload every single file iWeb creates.
Edit : since the directories are open, you may want to consider closing them. Ask your webhoster to do it for you.

  • Navigation bar refuses to delete prior page results.

In the navigation bar, when I physically type in an address, the OLD address information refuses to delte. This creates a mess of letters and numbers that cannot be read.
    Solution: <br />
A subroutine that forces the navigation bar to "CLEAR" upon highlight or upin the entery of the first letter of a person typing a new address.

  • My navigation bar will only remain in view for one request after using alt key

Everything worked fine for over a year on Mozilla firefox, suddenly I have no navigation or tool bar. If I press the alt key the bar appears and I am able to click on one command and then the bar disapears again. I followed the instructions online and clicked on the restore default bar, to no avail. It is a royal pain to have to alt key to open a new tab from the bookmarks everytime. If I can't figure it out I will have to stop using firefox which until now I was in love with. Please Help

After pressing Alt, in the View menu select Toolbars, then click on "Menu Bar" in the list of toolbars. That should make it permanently display.

  • Navigation bar mixed on only welcome page

Hi...reposting...may have messed up first time as box about "question" appeared. Anyway, I'm baffled by the Welcome page nav bar. works but mixed up...others are fine ideas??

All the nav bar links in the Welcome page work correctly for me. Try clearing your browsers caches and give it another go.

  • "Reload current page/Stop loading current page" seems to be missing from Navigation Bar customization. How do I get it back?

I am loading Firefox on a new computer, and I can't find the Navigation Bar button for "Reload current page/Stop loading current page". Is there any way to get it back as a choice under Navigation Bar customization or to create a new function? CTRL-R used to work for this function, but I'd like to have the button on the Navigation Bar.

View Page Source has been moved to the "Web Developer" sub-menu. You can use any of the following to View Page Source:
    *CTRL+U
*Right-click a blank area of the page and choose "View Page Source"
*Firefox button > Web Developer > View Page Source
*Using the Menu Bar: Tools > Web Developer > Page Source
*ALT+T+W, release ALT key, letter O key

  • Tab Style Navigation Bar for Pages in Page group

    Hi
Is there a way to create a tab style navigation bar for a group of pages that will appear at the top of a page?
    Regards
    Harry

You might try using Language_Switcher  Language Switcher while working on the English page.  That might allow you to create the navbar in English.
Otherwise you could use a text based navbar like in this demo page: Text Based Navbar

  • Just published site - navigation bar doesn't work

    Hi Everyone -
I'm brand new here and apologize if I'm about to ask something that's been asked and answered a hundred times. I looked through the questions and found instances where navigation bars are missing once the site has been published, but my issue is different (though the solution may be the same - I don't know).
I just published my iWeb site (www.thewordwise.com) and found a couple issues (my site doesn't fill the screen, but I'll wank about that later). My navigation bar appears properly at the top, but does not work at all. Only the Welcome page is accessible.
In looking through the various missing navigation bar questions posed here, I would hazard a guess that not all of my pages have been properly uploaded to the hosting site I'm using (godaddy) and that the solution may be to use a third party FTP folder? This is unfortunately Greek to me.
Any assistance would be enormously appreciated. Thank you.

I think you'll find that your navigation menu is not working as your image is overlapping with it - The Word Wise image. An image only has to be overlapping a little and it will then not work. Move the image down so that it is clear of the nav menu and it should then work.
As for your site name - the second is your site name in iWeb - you named your site that and you can change it so that it is not as long - do this in iWeb and then republish your site.

  • How can i edit / customize the font in the navigation bar in iweb?r

how can I edit / customize font size and color in the navigation bar on an iweb created page?

This tutorial may help: #24 - How to Change the Basic, Rollover and Visited Color of an iWeb Navbar.  It only applies to the various colors.
Wyodor has posted code to be put in an HTML snippet that will increase the font size.
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    navDiv = parent.document.getElementById("widget0-navbar-list");
    navDiv.setAttribute("style", "font-size: 1.1em;");
    // -->
    </script>
Increase the size by increments of .1 until you get the size you want.  You'll need to publish the site before you'll see the change.
If you only have a couple of pages in your site you can create your own text based navbar.  That will give you complete  control over font, size, color, spacing, etc. However, be sure to use only  Web Safe Fonts or the navbar will not look like you want it on those computers that do not have the font you used installed. This demo page is an example: Text Based Navbar.  With more than a couplke of pages updating such a navbar can become a real pain.  However, it is much more search engine friendly.

  • Using navigation bar in manual mode

Im trying to create a secondary Navigation bar onto a page called 'projects' I have created two child pages on the map called 'selected works' and '2012-13' and when i try to add a navigation bar the only pages that link are the main ones. Is there a way to overcome this? I have tried using the manual mode, however when previewd this hasn't been working.
    Many thanks

    Hi Philip,
Are the child pages showing up in the menu? What is the "Menu option" for the child pages you have created?

  • Navigation bar does not work properly in CS3

The navigation bar shows only the up and the over pictures in
all browsers. It works properly in a framed site, showing all 4
different pictures. But not in the css-layout based site with files
from the same template, which show all in the same window. Does
anyone know where this problem comes from?

    > Why not use frames again?
This question is answered in detail several times a day here,
    but here's the
    executive summary -
    1. They are difficult for inexperienced users to get right -
    a) pages will not align properly if one of them throws
    scrollbars
    b) links will not work when targeted into different frames
    without
    hand-modification of code
    c) new (and inexperienced users) have problems with the idea
    of a single
frameset page that only specifies constituent frames
    d) new (and inexperienced users) can be confused by the fact
    that the
<title> tag on the frameset page is the one that
    appears in the browser
    e) etc., etc., etc.
    2. They are difficult for your visitors
    a) depending on how savvy you are, you may have removed
    scrollbars to
'fix' #1b, not thinking that you have also removed those
    scrollbars for
    people with smaller viewports
    b) search engines will index *all* pages within your
    frameset, meaning
that a navigation frame or a content only page MAY be shown
    in a search hit
list - imagine the confusion when the page is loaded without
    navigation, for
    example
And - they are so amateur. Really.

    > matter if I use javascript or CSS rollovers, only up and
    over will work

With js rollovers it's only *easy* to achieve the up and the
    over states.
With CSS rollovers, you can achieve up, over, over while
    down, and down.

Much of this has been removed in CS4.

The DivaHTML extension is a good deal. It is just a CSS
    rollover with an
    'easy' user interface.

  • Moving navigation bar

I would like to have the navigation bar going vertically down one side of the page, rather than across the top. How can this be done.
Also, how can I change the size of font, and the colour, in the navigation bar?
    Liz Donlan

Liz ~ Welcome to the discussions. For the vertical navigation bar, see Chapter 4 here:
    http://iwebfaq.org/site/iWebNavigationmenu.html
...And Chapter 3 may answer your other qstns.

  • With version 5 of Firefox, if I open more than 1 session, most of the time I cannot see anything in the navigation bar and my back and forward buttons do not work.

I open 1 session of Firefox 5.0.1 and everything seems to work fine. Then I open a second session of Firefox and most of the time the navigation bar does not show the page that I am on and the back and forward buttons do not work. When this happens, the first session always remains working. I am an internet marketer so I have at least 2 or 3 sessions going at any given time.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

  • Navigation Bar Problem

    Hello
I have a problem with my navigation bar, took a page out, and so it trimmed the bar down, but i want to take it a bit more because all the other pages look off centre. However when i do this on one page, it does not replicate what i done to the bar on all of my other pages.
    Any advice?
    Thanks
    Dan

Are you talking about a navigation bar that you have made yourself or the navigation bar that comes with the page template?
If you have made your own nav bar, then of course you can cut and paste and delete what is there.
If you are using the nav bar that comes with the page template, then you cannot cut and paste or delete it, but you can alter the width of where it is on the page. You need to look and see on the first page and see if these settings are correct. Make a note of the settings and go through your site and alter every page to those settings and then they should all look the same.
It all depends on which nav bar you are using.
