Navigation not Appearing

Hi,
Can anyone help me. I am publishing using flash help on
RoboHelp X5 Pro and it has worked without issue for some time. We
have decided to set up websites in IIS on all our servers and
publish to them all individually rather than through our intranet
as some lines to our sites are slow. The prefix would be
http://server/documentation.
Publishing web help is fine but when I try to publish flash help
you can view the navigation and toc etc.
I have tried adding the URL into the global settings in flash
player but this has no effect. If I browse to a file path or add a
traditional address e.g.
http://www.server.com/documentation
then it works fine.
This is driving me mad, I really don't want to go back to
using WebHelp

Alix-Louise,
See if following this changes anything:
"To publish projects to an IIS HTTP server other than
RoboHelp Server, the HTTP server root folder must contain the
/scripts/cpshost.dll file. A Windows system does not contain this
file, by default. You can download the file from the Microsoft web
site." (Issue # 1338237 "Cannot publish WebHelp/FlashHelp through
HTTP" on
this
page of known issues under RH6.)
Let us know how it goes,
Ben

    The Dynamic Navigation Editor opens.
           2.      In the Portal Catalog, right-click the page/iView that you want to assign as a dynamic navigation iView, and from the context menu choose Add to Dynamic Navigation.
           3.      Continue to assign navigation objects as needed.
           4.      Choose Save.
    But there nothing happen. Left colomn in main iView is empty. What I miss? (EP 6.0)

  • TOC, Search, Index not appearing in navigation pane in Firefox

    I have a problem with a Help system that seems familiar with a number of other discussions on this forum, but I haven't found anything directly relatable to it.
    I have a WebHelp system generated using RH8. The Help has window-level context sensitivity. The Help system is deployed on a secure (HTTPS) server. When launching the Help from IE8, everything works as expected. However, launching the Help from Firefox (3, 8, or 9), the default topic appears and the Help is fully navicable except the contents for the navigation pane will not appear. The frame and the buttons (Contents, Index, Search) appear, but the content is missing. I can enter an Index term to search, but search doesn't return anything.
    When I access the compiled Help system locally (not from a Web server), the navigation pane works correctly within Firefox.
    My best guess after scouring a number of discussions, threads, and forums, is that it would appear that there is some issue with the Javascript affecting the context sensitivity and the left-frame functionality when deployed on a secure server using Firefox. However, I haven't come across anything that has worked as a solution.
    Any other avenues to explore?

  • Navigation Drop Down Menu Does Not Appear Correctly with Internet Explorer.

    Website was designed with Dreamweaver CS5 on a Mac. The navigation drop down menu does not appear correctly with Internet Explorer. When you mouse over a navigation option that has a drop-down menu, the drop-down portion appears on top of the first level. Hope someone can help me out.Thanks!

    Hi,
    and you should then iron out this minor inaccuracy, which I found in your source code, for example here:
    <div align="center"><a class="MenuBarItemSubmenu" href="hays.html">HAYS</a>
            <ul>
              <li><a href="hayswalkingtour.html">Walking Tour</a> </li>
              <li><a href="forthays.html">Fort Hays</a></li>
            </ul>
    All your "first" entries have to show a '#", like this:
          <div align="center"><a class="MenuBarItemSubmenu" href="#">HAYS</a>
            <ul>
              <li><a href="hayswalkingtour.html">Walking Tour</a> </li>
              <li><a href="forthays.html">Fort Hays</a></li>
            </ul>
          </div>
    after that you can link to the individual subgroups. See here e.g. (screenshots from my German DW):

  • Role not appearing in Top Navigation Level

    I have to roles ESS and MSS, I want to add UWL on the Top Navigation Level as a separate role.  I have created the UWL role and assigned to the User.  However, it is not appearing when logging on to the ESS and MSS roles.
    Are there some other settings I need to make?
    Any ideas?  Points awarded.
    Thanks
    MN

    Hi Monkey,
    you have to define this role as an "entry point". Please go to the PCD, select the role and click on the "Entry Point" option on the details. Then save the role.
    And do not forget to check if the user has proper permissions for the role.
    When you log on to the ESS and MSS roles you should see the role.
    Hope this helps,

  • Navigation bar does not appear on published page, Replaced by a "bullet"

    Navigation bar does not appear on the published page, but is replaced by a "bullet".
    "Include page in Navigation menu" is checked on every page.
    Therefore unable to navigate to other pages.
    If other pages are moved to the first position, the same thing occurs - ie  unable to navigate to any other page.

    One frequent reason for that is the fact that not all the files in the Scripts folder for the site are getting uploaded.  While viewing the site bring up the Activity Window (Command+Option+A) and see if any of the files are listed as missing. If there are you'll need to upload the Scripts folder to the server.
    If you're using iWeb the only option there is to try the File ➙ Publish Entire Site menu option.
    Or, you can publish you site to a folder on your hard drive and use a 3rd party FTP client like  Cyberduck to upload just the Scripts folder to the server.

  • Navigation Bar does not appear on website after upload

    I use i-web to create my website, save it to a folder and then upload to the web using GoDaddy. For some reason, the navigation bar at the top of every page does not appear. Instead, there's a black dot to the left of the page. When in the i-web program NavBar is there and functions normally. I just redesigned my website and uploaded everything and had this problem. It's never happened before. Can anyone help?

  • Page Fragment not appearing in Page Navigation!!

    My project contains a Page Fragment named Logo.jspf which is intended to be displayed on the top of every page in my project.
    I have a Link Action element on Logo.jspf and when clicked it should load Login.jsp only if the user is not loged in, and if the user is already loged in it should load some other page. I aware that I have to add codes in the action listener method in Logo.java.
    As the Page Fragment (in my case that is Logo.jspf) is not appearing in Page Navigaton window it is not possible to add code like following: (Because I cannot visually draw an arrow with name login from Logo.jspf to Login.jsp)
    public String linkAction1_action() {
    return login;
    Please anyone help to do this. Thank you very much.

    To forward to a particular page from a servlet we usually use codes similar to the following:
    request.getRequestDispatcher("/Login.jsp").forward(request, response);
    How can I get rhe request object (or the session object) from a bean in a JSC project?
    Any suggestions very much appreciated. Thank you very much.

  • Import Data Option Does not appear in navigation

    I need to test the import capabilities as a Developer, but I do not see the options that are referenced in the help.
    I installed NAV Dynamics 2013 R2 Developer Version on a development computer with "SQL Server 2014 - Developer" installed. I copied a demo company. The option "Import from Data File" does not appear under Departments/ Administration/
    IT Administration/ General. Many other options are also missing.
    I reviewed the security setting for the Domain User and enabled the db_owner and db_AccessAdmin for the user. It was installed with the same administrative user account and the user has SysAdmin rights.
    I assume that this is some sort of security/authentication issue, but I also saw references that certain things are disabled in the demo. I can perform most basic functions, but many administrative functions are not visible.
    How can I enable \the import capabilities?

  • Next & Prev buttons in Navigation pane appear in skin but not in HTML

    I have customized the standard template and its components in flash according to my requirement and created a skin. When the skin is generated all the images/buttons gets displayed perfectly but on generation with FlashHelp the Next, Prev and Sync buttons do not appear in the HTML format.
    Kindly assist what may be the reason for the same.

    Hi there
    If you have configured things (or more accurately, LEFT them configured for auto-sync - it is configured by default) then the sync button isn't presented.
    You don't see Prev or Next because you either haven't defined or haven't enabled a Browse Sequence. More on that at the link below:

  • This file does not appear to be a photoshop file error.

    Hello,
    I know this has been covered a few times already, but none of the previous threads about it were able to help my situation.
    Ok so here is what i did:
    Exported a JPEG from a timeline in FCP. Brought that JPEG into PS (i am using CS3), and changed the image size from 1920x1080 to 720x480. Then saved as a JPEG, didn't tick any boxes, just used default save as settings.
    I then brought those images into my Encore DVD Project, added them to the library, then placed one into a already made menu, and "sent to back".. so it became the new background. I did this with two menu's today. Note i have actually done this same exact process many times without problem. I then tried to build a dvd image of the project, and i got the "this file does not appear to be a photoshop file". Now it won't even let me open those menu's (plus another one, which i made a long time ago, and have even successfully built DVD's with), to edit them. I tried removing all the new JPEGS i added today, from the library, but still i get the same message.
    The menu's that i now can't open, took a very long time to make, and i need to have this DVD completed ASAP.. as it is being released world wide in a couple of weeks and i need to get it replicated. So i don't actually have time to remake these menu's. So if anyone can help me, that would be much appreciated, as i have studio exec's cracking down on me.
    Thanks in advance :-)

    Now, if one Imports the JPEG with its extension changed to PSD as a Menu, then the Menu is created, including the necessary Layers. The Menu is NOW a PSD, and when Opened in PS will reflect the Layer structure (try this at home). If one had constructed Buttons in the JPEG, they would now only be graphics on that one single Background Layer in the JPEG. They would not function as Buttons, but could be useful graphics for other things. One would then need to add real Button Layer Sets to the PSD to be able to add any navigation.
    Back in the post above, I suggested doing the Save_As to JPEG to see how things get changed. Use that in another test - Import that JPEG as a Menu. In Encore, try to Link to what had originally been Buttons in that Imported JPEG. What happens? Can you Link to them, even though you are now working with the created PSD?
    Now, add a Button, or two, from the Library. Choose Edit in Photoshop, and look at the Layer and Layer Set structure. Things have changed from the original JPEG, with only the Background Layer. You now have that Library Button's Layer Set structure.
    Good luck, and hope that this helps,
    Hunt
    Here are looks at the structure, using the Library Menu Business>Clock:
    The Menu in PSD with the Layers Palette Open
    Same Image With Layers Flattened to Save As a JPEG
    What the JPEG Looks Like As a Flattened JPEG
    The only way to Import that JPEG into Encore as a Menu would be to change the file extension to PSD, but what appear to be Buttons would NOT be Buttons, but just static pixels in the Background.
