Navigation panel - how to turn it on?

Hi,
We had a SP16 NW2004 running. We applied SP17 patch to our netweaver 2004 portal server.
We lost the navigation panel after applying SP17 to our server. As a result several of the users are facing the difficulty of navigating to the appropriate collaboration rooms.
Would anybody know how to get the navigation bar back.
Thank You.
Sumit.

Copy the original framework page (located in : Content Provided by SAP> End User Content> Standard portal Users ) to where you have you custom one and add it to your desktop.
The Framework page is used for the whole portal; there are just not all parts active on all pages (e.g.Related Rooms or My Rooms Dropdown Menu in your Rooms).
If you just want to add certain iviews go to : Content Provided by SAP> Admin Interfaces > Admin iView Templates.
I advise to just copy the SAP  Framework page and rename it (including the ID).
Regards,
Kai

  • Navigation Panel - how hide completely?

    Hi
I would like to completely remove the navigation panel from the portal framework page. I know how to keep it closed, but not how to remove it.

    Hi
    Here is a pdf [link|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e549a890-0201-0010-3f8b-d3b852457ebd]
You can remove the Detailed navigation iView from the default framework page or create a new framework page as per ur requirement.
Make sure that u made the navigation level 2 level or 3 level.

  • How to create links under Detailed Navigation Panel

    Hi All,
Our reqt is to create many links under "Detailed Navigation Panel" so that portal users may click on any of those links to navigate to that particular iView.
For example. I have created 3 iViews ( A,B and C). In the "Detailed Navigation Panel" i would like to have three links( One, Two and Three). If user clicks "One", it should go to iView A.
Kindly help me how to do this. Many Thanks in Advance. Appreciate if any one could send me the detailed steps involved on this.
    Regs/Venkat

    Hi Venkat,
As far as I understand your requirement, you don't want to have these links as part of the detailed navigation within the navigation hierarchy, but below, within the navigation panel, statically, right?!
For such a static solution, you could just create an iView displaying these links, and put that iView into the navigation panel of the desktop innerpage, see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/b4/771158e4cb4bf6af9974380948db86/frameset.htm for the structure details (below the Detailed Navigation iView).
    Hope it helps

  • How to remove white status bar (or navigation panels) in photo app

Since I downloaded the new iOS7, the status bar (or navigation bars on top and bottom) in the photo app stays and is white. With the older OS version, it was black and disappeared after a couple of second.  Now the white bar stays and you do not have a full view of the picture (top and bottom is cut off when holding it lengthwise)  Any idea how to remove this?  Thanks

Not sure what you mean by "status bar". There are two navigation panels, one at the top and one at the bottom. No, you can't remove those if that is what you mean.

  • How to move Navigator Panel in PSE 9

    I just got PSE 9 because I hate PSE 10 and 11.
I'm used to being able to move the Navigator Panel wherever I want, but in PSE 9 it seems to be locked in the panel area and I don't see how to move it elsewhere.
How do I move the Navigatore Panel?
Also, just wondering, since I didn't sign in how will I be notified if anyone responds to my question?
    I guess I'll find out.

Please try to drag from depicted area in the snapshot.

  • How to add links in the detailed navigation area of the navigation panel

    hi everyone,
I had developed 4 iviews. 2 of those iviews i added to 2 different pages. And the 2 pages added to workse and assigned a role. i assigned this role to user. and it is working fine.
i want to add remaining to iviews as links.
how to add the links in the detailed navigation area of the navigation panel.
    regards
    sunil kumar.ch

    Hi sunil,
Create a JSPDynPage component(C) having 2 hbj:link whose hrefs point to these 2 iViews(A and B). U can get the href of the iView by previewing it(for A and B). Create an iview from the par component (C) and add it to the DLN so that it shows the links to ur iViews(A and B). U can make the Show Tray property of this iView (C) to false.

  • How can you display only one artboard in the Navigation Panel?

I would like to be able take advantage of the Navigation Panel as a thumbnail view of the artwork I am illustrating. The Adobe Illustrator file has 5 art boards. Is there an option in the Navigation Panel to view the art board I am working with, alone?

    > That could work if all of the group items were the same size.
Why would that matter? Each GroupItem has its own controlBounds, height, width, position properties. Each Document has its own height, width, pageOrigin properties. The script would reference those properties to position the Group in the center of the document.

  • How to make Navigation Panel invisible on portal screen????

    Hi,
    I need to create two roles ( X and Y ).
when the user is assgned role X: he should see standard portal screen
When user is assigned role Y: he should see customized portal screen.
    Features of customized portal screen:
All features of portal should not be seen. The user should see only the iview and nothing else.
    What I have done:
Created Role ( X and Y ) and respective iviews
    With Framework page:
I copied standard framework page. made all iviews invisible except Desktop Innerpage.
I opend the Innerpage. I made all all iviews invisible except the Content Area.
    With Desktop:
I create new desktop and assigned the new framework page to deaktop and made it default.
With Rule Collection: I created new rule collection where:
    if Role = Y
    display: new desktop
    if role = X
    display: default desktop
    Result:
when I login with role X it shows default Desktop
Problem Area: When i login with ROLE Y, No portal feature is visible But We can still Expand and collapse Navigation panel.
Requirement: I do not want the user should see the navigation panel. It should not be visible on screen even though it is empty.
I tried lots almost all properties. Please help.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Aditya Deshpande

    hi;
Then you have to create Role Y without workset or Page only with iViews, so no Navigation will be generated. :h1
But if you habe Workset and Page in your role , just go to all Page and workset and set this properties>navigation>Invisible in Navigation Areas  to false.
    I Hoppe it will help
    Take care

  • How to merge top level navigation into detail navigation panel.

    Hi All,
I want to add all the contents of top level navigation into detail navigation panel and  remove top level navigation.I am looking for the code with which i can shift the top level navigation to detail level navigation.

You could edit the top-level navigation iview and set the <b>Number of Display levels</b> property's value to 0.
you can reach the Top-level navigation iview by going through the following path
    1) <b>Content Administration --> Portal Content --> Content Provided by SAP --> Admin Interfaces --> Top-level navigation</b>
However, note that once you do this the whatever menus that are available in the top level will not be available anymore.
Maybe, you could copy the standard Top-level navigation into a framework page that you have created and then make the change. After doing so, you can assign it to groups/roles you want. This will ensure that the CONTENT/SYSTEM/USER administrators see the normal portal framework and specific user groups alone dont see the Top level navigation..
