Navigation puts 2440 M St NW, Washington DC in Chevy Chase MD

Navigation places any address on M St NW, Washington DC

Apple needs to FIX the Navigation for iPhone 5, the errors are the following:
1. 2440 M St NW, Washington DC is pinned on the Navigation as 2440 Washington Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20815.
NOT THE SAME PLACE
2. 2440 M St NW, Washington DC 20037 is pinned on the Navigation map as 2440 Washington Circle NW, Washington DC 20037.
NOT THE SAME PLACE
3. Any address entered in the iPhone 5 Navigation on M St NW, SW, NE, or SE, is changed to some place in either Maryland or Virginia.
4. 900 M St SE, Washington DC is changed to 900 N Washington St Alexandria VA 22314. Again, NOT THE SAME PLACE.
2440 M St NW, Washington DC 20037 is at 24th Street NW & M Street NW in Washington DC not SIlver Spring Maryland
Please repair the M Street NW, SE, NE, & SW debacle. The issue is with the navigation software and not my iPhone.
Thank you

  • TOC, resuming a captivate presentation

    Hi all-
    I'm trying to think through the setup of my course.  It has 8 modules and each module has a few lessons associated with it.  A question -
    I'd like the learner to be able to resume the course where they left off, since it's rather large to do in one sitting.  I understand I can do this through the TOC, Self-paced Learning option.  Are there other options to do this that I should consider, given that I do not have an LMS?
    If I use the TOC option, I'd guess that this becomes the primary navigation for my course. Does that sound right?
    Thanks!

    Without LMS, TOC is indeed the way to go for bookmarking. You can use other ways of navigation, put the TOC in overlay, can be opened and closed by the user and/or by actions. Definitely I would hide it on the question slides.

  • Struts, how to approach things

    Coming from a PHP background and having written some moderately complex systems in PHP I'm now in a job that requires me to use Java/JSP and Struts. I've spent the past two days looking it these technologies, I have a few years of experience with Java, but nothing big. I have no experience with JSP/Struts. I do however understand the MVC concept.
    So I set out to write my first little test application, just to get a feel with things. Let''s say it's an application for doing CRUD work on different entities. In PHP in generally do this by creating modules, each module maps to an entity, and all modules offer the same CRUD operations. This resembles the DispatchAction class, so I decided to go with it because Actions are after all supposed to be fairly small and simple? So for each entity, let's just say we have Users and Cars, I would have a dispatcher with implemented the CRUD operations, i.e. CarDispatch and UserDispatch with create, retrieve, update, delete operations.
    But the problem arises with the JSP. The menu (navigation) would allow you to choose what entity (module) to work on. So you can choose between Cars and Users. But the template should be the same in both cases, it's basically just a navigation area listing the modules, and a work area. As you switch between Cars and Users, you will get a list of either Cars or Users, and operations to perform on these. Nothing new.
    But I can figure out how to do this! It's the forwards that are giving me problems, because they eventually lead to separate jsp pages. But I want to "include" the view component of the current entity or module in the work area of the page. Otherwise I would have to have at least one template for each entity, meaning lots of replicated HTML. In PHP I simply solve this by always passing a module parameter around, so that I know what module to load. The module then knows what to display within the work area depending on the current action.
    The company I'm working for does have an application that I'm supposed to work on. In this application there are tons of JSP pages. They have solved the problem using HTML Frames, a solution I find rather hideous.
    I've also looked at Tiles, but that just got me even more confused (remember, I'm learning JSP and Struts and my experience with Java is limited). I also looked at SiteMesh, whose concept of decoration immediately made me go yeah! But the current SiteMesh system seems a bit unstable, I had to manually patch it to get it to run under Tomcat, and whenever I made the slightest typo in a configuration file everything would silently fail with no information written to the logs.
    Any ideas? This must be a very common thing, but having searched forums and looked at tutorials for days know I haven't found a good approach to this.

    I've also looked at Tiles, but that just got me even more confused
    (remember, I'm learning JSP and Struts and my experience with
    Java is limited).Tiles really isn't that complicated and it comes with a large number of examples to start from. In fact, the basic Struts template found in struts-blank.war includes all of the necessary Tiles components to get started. Once you have a set of tiles definitions (which define the combinations of JSPs to form a complete page) you can reference directly them in your action mappings. Here are the main components you'd expect to see:
    In tiles-defs.xml:...
    <definition name=".mainLayout" path="/common/layouts/myLayout.jsp">
      <!-- All tiles definitions which extend mainLayout will 'inherit' this navigation -->
      <put name="header" value="/common/navigation.jsp" />
    </definition>
    <definition name=".cars.list.screen" extends=".mainLayout">
      <put name="title" value="List of Cars"/>
      <!-- The body references listOfThings.jsp which could be a generic JSP capable of
              handling cars and users -->
      <put name="body" value="/listOfThings.jsp"/>
    </definition>
    ...In mainLayout.jsp:...
    <html>
      <head>
        <title><tiles:getAsString name="title"/></title>
      </head>
      <body>
        <!-- navigation along the top... -->
        <tiles:insert attribute="navigation"/><br/>
        <!-- ... followed by the body content, i.e. your workarea... -->
        <tiles:insert attribute="body"/>
      </body>
    </html>In struts-config.xml:...
    <action
        path="/displayCars"
        type="com...CarDispatchAction">
      <forward name="success" path=".car.list.screen"/>
    </action>
    ...(I can't remember whether the dot notation naming convention for referencing tiles definitions is enforced or just simply encouraged.)
    Obviously, you could be more fancy with your layout. But crucially, you could change the layout of all of your screens just modifiying mainLayout.jsp.

    Try recreating your preferences first (hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift during launch and confirm the dialog that asks to delete the settings file).

    Community synopsis
    From Dan Harmon ("The Sarah Silverman Program") and Emmy Award winners Joe and Anthony Russo ("Arrested Development") comes "Community," a smart comedy series about a band of misfits who attend Greendale Community College. At the center of the group is Jeff Winger (Joel McHale, "The Soup"), a fast-talking lawyer whose degree has been revoked. With some help from his fellow classmates, Winger forms a study group that eventually learns more about themselves than their course work.
    Also among the series stars who comprise the group are comedy legend Chevy Chase ("Chuck") as Pierce, a man whose life experience has brought him infinite wisdom; Gillian Jacobs ("The Book of Daniel") as Britta, the 20-something dropout with something to prove; Yvette Nicole Brown ("Rules of Engagement") as Shirley, a sassy middle-aged divorcée; Danny Pudi ("Greek") as Abed, a pop culture junkie; Alison Brie ("Mad Men") as Annie, a high-strung perfectionist; Donald Glover ("30 Rock") as Troy, a former high school football star trying to find his way, and Ken Jeong ("The Hangover") as Señor Chang.
    YVETTE NICOLE BROWN
    One word best describes the unfolding of
    Yvette Nicole Brown's career, and it is:
    serendipity (noun)
    1. an aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident.
    2. good fortune; luck; blessing.
    Yvette landed her first television role - - a two-episode gig playing Toni Childs' sister, Sherri, on GIRLFRIENDS - - by chance. Casting director Robi Reed called her in to audition from a post card submission. Yvette had no credits and no agent. That stroke of serendipity at the beginning of her career, taught Yvette that you never know how God is going to move in your life and career. Booking a series regular role two months later, on the first pilot she auditioned for further proved the point. That show, ABC's THE BIG HOUSE, only lasted a few episodes; but that experience proved to be a blessing as well. Through it, Yvette learned the transient nature of the business and to always "travel light".
    Yvette has since appeared (and often recurred) on shows as varied as ENTOURAGE, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, THE OFFICE, THAT'S SO RAVEN, HALF & HALF, SLEEPER CELL, HOUSE, TWO AND A HALF MEN, THAT 70'S SHOW and BOSTON LEGAL - - where she got to perform "Big, Blonde & Beautiful" from Hairspray. It was a bit of a homecoming because Yvette is no stranger to singing. She was managed by Michael Bivins (of New Edition and BBD) and signed to Motown Records when she was just a teen.
    Younger viewers may know Yvette from her recurring role on Nickelodeon's "DRAKE & JOSH," where she played movie theater manager, Helen Ophelia Dubois.  Landing that role was another serendipitous experience. The role of Helen was to be a one-time role; one that Yvette auditioned for while on hiatus from THE BIG HOUSE. That one-time role turned into four years of employment and introduced Yvette and her silliness to the best group of fans in the world...kids!  The cast of DRAKE & JOSH recently reunited in 2008 for the holiday movie, "Merry Christmas: Drake & Josh," a film that broke Nickelodeon viewership records when it was seen by over 8 million viewers the night it debuted. It has since gone on to become an annual holiday favorite.
    Yvette is also the voice of the tough, sassy and smart Cookie on The HUB’s “Pound Puppies” which begins its second season in June, 2012.  The “Pound Puppies” are a team of fearless dogs whose sworn mission is to find homes for lonely puppies.  They only look like regular dogs.  In fact these pooches are dogs of action who match up pups with loving families while they keep the humans at Shelter 17 clueless.
    Yvette has also had a successful career in commercials. She's appeared in over 40 national spots. You may have seen her in ads for BIG LOTS, PINE SOL, CITIBANK, FIBER ONE YOGURT, DAIRY QUEEN, HAMBURGER HELPER, ARROWHEAD WATER, HOME DEPOT, COMCAST, LG and DiGIORNO'S PIZZA to name a few.  Yvette has also been immortalized in puppet form as "Mrs. Lewis, from downstairs" in a series of NIKE spots alongside puppet versions of Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.
    In addition to her commercial and television work, Yvette also has a burgeoning film career. She made her film debut in the romantic comedy, "Little Black Book," working alongside Brittany Murphy and Oscar winners, Holly Hunter and Kathy Bates. Her next film, Michael Bay's futuristic thriller, "The Island" put her on the set with Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson. Supporting roles in other films including "Dreamgirls" and "The Kid and I," - - where she first met and worked with one of her childhood heroes, Henry Winkler - - soon followed.  In 2008, she was in the box office hit, "Tropic Thunder" (directed by Ben Stiller) where she worked with Matthew McConaughey; as well as the family film, "Meet Dave" where she realized a childhood dream by sharing the screen with Eddie Murphy.
    In 2009 and 2010, Yvette could be seen on the big screen again in the family film, "Hotel for Dogs" starring Emma Roberts and Don Cheadle, the romantic comedy, "The Ugly Truth" starring Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler, the indie hit, "(500) Days of Summer" starring Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt; as well as the action thriller, "Repo Men" where she played against type and shared the screen with Jude Law and Oscar winner, Forest Whitaker.
    Currently, you can catch Yvette every week on the single-camera comedy, COMMUNITY, which airs Thursdays at 8pm/7c on NBC. The same Thursday 8pm timeslot that was once home to the hit NBC comedies: FRIENDS and THE COSBY SHOW...how's that for blessed?
    In addition to her work on Community, Yvette can also be heard as the voice of "Cookie" on the NEW animated series, POUND PUPPIES; which airs weekly on the HUB Network (formerly Discovery Kids).
    A proud native of East Cleveland Ohio, Yvette currently resides in Los Angeles California.

    Unfortunately not. Peter's advice is spot on. I knew an

  • Crashing/Dying Here

    Sold myself on a high profile web gig for major network doing sound through soundtrack pro (lower budgets).
    I have 3+ years as senior editor in a local studio and have used sountrack to mix for broadcast in the past (dirty secret). I think it's great and have been raving about it for a year. I attended the FCPS2 demonstration and was one of the many gasping at the new features.
    Now I'm in session and it's really frustrating that I'm crashing about every 15 to 30 minutes, most notably when I try the new audio editor on the bottom. It's an awesome feature when it works which seems about 50% at the moment. Otherwise it crashes me for dragging selected cuts to a track.
    What's not awsome is how I would rather be back at my clunky pro tools rig right now.
    I'm getting a little ****** and I rarely post. Sorry if this seems negative.
    But what what gives? I'm used a a few bugs but it feels like I'm stepping back in time here.
    Using a fresh install and new mac pro 8 core - 4 gigs of ram - 12TB of SAN. Kona 3 and Blackmagic Videohub on the outboard. Could it be the Kona?
    Any thoughts or similar vents are appreciated. I would gladly accept miserable company to let me know that it's not just me. If it is then I don't know where to start troubleshooting. Everything is up to date including the 2.0.1 install.
    Peace and Elbow Grease,

    I feel like Chevy Chase driving around Big Ben and Parlament. It's the same story over and over.
    I cannot edit in the file editor without pinwheeling. That and the conform feature were want I wanted to try most in this new version. I now wish I had my old version back or was just not even using soundtrack for this.
    This is tough to swallow and I'm going to have to go back to pro tools. The studio brass was especially excited about the conform feature. I'll have to tell them to wait a while.
    Right after I get the egg off my face and put in the extra hours to start over on another platform.
    Wit's end,

  • "Add New Tab" button does not exist in the Window -Customize Toolbar, and not on my Navigator toolbar. Where can I find one to put on my Navigator toolbar, please?

    I see "Add New Window" but..."Add New Tab" button does not exist in the Window -Customize Toolbar any longer, and not on my Navigator toolbar. Where can I find one to put on my Navigator toolbar, please?
    Thanks

    It's the "+" on the Tab bar. You can move it to the Navigation Toolbar if you prefer. When you start Customize, the + moves to the far right end of the Tab bar. You can drag it where you want (see attached image).
    Any luck?

  • How to put a web link in the detailed navigation

    How can you put a web link in the detailed navigation?
    I know that if your role contains iviews that are 3 levels down (default), then the link to the iview will appear in the detailed navigation. But, I want to put a link to a external site in the detailed navigation - is this possible?
    Thanks
    Patrick

    I have a page set with a url iview and it opens from the detailed navigation in a  new window fine.
    however when clicking on a link to the page via a landing page which displays the KM content page folders, it loads it in the portal active window still (with nav and masthead).
    Any ideas how to get the km link to open in a new browser window?
    thanks

  • Put iView UNDER Detailed Navigation on certain pages

    Hey guys,
    anyone have a hint on this??
    I want to have some pages (some - not all where an iView is displayed under the Detailed Navigation iView.
    I have tried to put the standard DTN iView onto the page together with the rest of the content but this DTN iView is not displaying anything - the "normal" DTN iView is still there and displayes the navi structure correctly.
    Working with NW Portal SPS 16.
    Thx and best regards,
    Michael

    Hi Tegala,
    thats guiding me into the right direction.
    Unfortunately, I want to have a KM navigation iView there which is triggering another iView on the page to display the choosen folder.
    At the moment the KM navigation iView is browsing the folders on its own...
    But anyway - a big step forward!
    Thx,

  • How to add the ability to put EL expressions in Navigation Rules

    I had a need to dynamically determine what page to return to in a JSF application. There has to be an easier way, but here's how I wanted to do it. I wanted to put an EL expression in my <to-view-id> nav rules in the JSF config file (e.g. faces-config.xml). This isn't allowed. So I built my own custom ViewHandler to do it.
    1) Define the ViewHandler in faces-config.xml:
         <application>
              <view-handler>com.msd.tts.pluggable.MyDynamicViewHandler</view-handler>
         </application>2) Create the class:
    package com.msd.tts.pluggable;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.util.Locale;
    import javax.faces.*;
    import javax.faces.application.ViewHandler;
    import javax.faces.component.UIViewRoot;
    import javax.faces.context.*;
    import javax.faces.el.ValueBinding;
    import com.sun.faces.util.Util;
    * Adds ability to put EL expressions in the <to-view-id> Navigation Rules in JSF
    * configuration file (faces-config.xml).
    * @author          Craig Peters
    * @version          1.0
    public class MyDynamicViewHandler extends ViewHandler {
         * The original handler we are customizing.
        private ViewHandler prevHandler = null;
        /** Creates a new instance of MappingViewHandler. By including
         * a parameter of the same type, we encourage the JSF framework
         * to pass a reference of the previously used ViewHandler. This way
         * we can use all the previous functionality and override only the
         * method we are interested in (in this case, the getActionURL() method).

                   result = vb.getValue(context).toString();
              if (result.charAt(0) != '/')
                   throw new IllegalArgumentException("Illegal view ID " + result + ". The ID must begin with '/'");
              viewToRender.setViewId(result);

         @Override
         public void writeState(FacesContext context) throws IOException {
              prevHandler.writeState(context);
    }3) Use EL in navigation rules:
         <navigation-rule>
              <from-view-id>/CommonForm.jsp</from-view-id>
              <navigation-case>
                   <to-view-id>#{bean.caller}</to-view-id>
              </navigation-case>
         </navigation-rule>The "bean.caller" method will have saved the page to go back to.
    Comments are welcome. I just didn't see any other way to dynamically go back to an arbitrary page.
    Thanks.

    CraigRPeters wrote:
    Comments are welcome.Nice stuff. But that means that navigation is hardwired in the backing bean instead of faces-config.xml. Forget this comment if you've maintained a propertiesfile/configurationfile for that.
    I just didn't see any other way to dynamically go back to an arbitrary page.You can declare more than one from-outcome and/or from-action for one from-view-id.

  • Where to put maps when using navigation software, ...

    anyone with a mobile navigator for symbian, and particulary n95 8gb, where do you put the maps? my navigon navigator 6 cant find any maps, but i have a .map file in the navigon map in the mass storage of the phone, what do you do?

    I have a suggestion where you can store them, but I don't think the moderators would find it as funny as I might.
    Seriously, either wrap them around the case with the iPod inside, or coil them up and store them in another pocket. It's really up to you.
