I would like to have each region's link in the list re-display the same page with just that region. I would pass in a hidden parameter in the link's URL and conditionally display each region depending on that value.
Simple stuff, but I ran into a roadblock right off the bat. As soon as I mark the page "current" for all 3 list entries, all of them become "unclickable"! :-(

Ah, indeed. I didnt realize there are multiple choices for "List Entry Current for Pages Type".
But if I choose PL/SQL expression from that list, what does that mean? The expression has to evaluate to an integer and that is taken as the "current" page number?
OK I put in the following PL/SQL expression for the first list entry

What am I doing wrong?
Ah, I got it, I needed to use an expression that returns true/false like
case when :P130_REGION_NO=1 and :APP_PAGE_ID=130 then true else false end;Thanks

    i am making an rpg style game in actionscript 3.0 and i want to make a multiple choice list. I know how to make the list with buttons and how to control it. My question is, how do you make a list that can be navigated using the keyborad arrows? What i am after is being able to hit up, and down to highlight the buttons and enter to chose the button.

    You'll need to make the buttons as movieclips so that you can control which display state they are in (highlighted versus not).
    Then you need to set up a listener for the keyboard keys so that you can have the selected button change and the execute if the Enter is pressed.  Here is a basic setup for a keyboard listener that shows how to detect the three keys you mentioned...

    I am using Apex Version 4.2
    At first, I had created an item P31_JOB_CATEGORY that was a radio button. Upon selecting a value for the radio button, a report was generated. The query is as follows

    where A.Job_Category = :P31_JOB_CATEGORYThis gave me the desired report. Now I want to change the radio button to a shuttle list so multiple values can be selected for the job category and generate a the report accordingly. Instead of one value, I can have 2, 3, or all. How would I alter my query to change this? would I have to use an array. I was thinking some type of "Where....In.." clause.

  • Reminder does not work properly, when using multiple lists

    I am using Reminders on my iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.. I am using several Lists for Reminders, such as Job, Home, General et cetera.. Everytime I am not using the standard List, set a Reminder in the future and save the event, the event will be displayed on the standard List with the current timing. Very annoying as I need to amend the Reminder for a second time.

    I opened my Word for Mac 2011, opened a document, and Then opened my Dashboard on top of that and used the Dictionary to look up a definition, and changed the month on the Calendar widget, and changed my stock graph interval.  It all worked just as it was supposed to: fine.  You apparently have a corrupted file somewhere.  I do not know where.

    I create a background job using Spool List Recipient to email me the reports. The program that I scheduled to run creates 2 spools. When the spools are sent via email, only the last spool is sent.
    Please advise on how I can get the 2 spools sent via email.

    i would not use the Spool List recipient from Job and use the function RSPO_SPOOLJOB_TO_OFFICE in your Program instead.

    Hello Experts,
    I think I have encountered an error in the functionality of the S_ALR_87013431 "Confirmation Using Operation List" in ECC 6.0.
    When I select the "collective time confirmation" checkbox, the intended functionality is (form the transaction help) "If you select this field, the report program enters the selection result directly in the collective entry screen, without previously displaying a list of results from which you can reselect."
    However, if I check the box, the results still don't appear directly in the collective entry screen, but still as a list of results.
    Is there some configuration missing? Have you encountered a similar error?

    i think there is some problem with the transaction ,in easy access menu it is displayed as S_ALR_87013431 confirmation with operation selection.
    i think same screen it has incorporated

    There's been a problem with this all day.  Seems to be a server problem  -  wait a day and try again, or use itunes on the computer to update, that works.

  • Problem Setting Item on a Page when using a List

    I have setup a List of reports. On the Page where the List displays, the user selects a Project Manager from a select list. In the List target section, I set the item for the project manager on the report page to the project manager selected on the List page.
    When I click on the report in the list, I am directed to the correct page, but the project manager item is not being set to the project manager selected on the original page. The report is showing information for all project managers.
    I am able to accomplish what I want if I use buttons, but I would prefer to use a list of all the reports. Why is the item not being set as indicated in the target section of the list?

    It sounds like you have two different items on two different pages for your project manager value. ApEx will treat them separately unless you tell it otherwise, via a calculation/process. In otherwords, if you want the second list set to the value of the first one then do it in a page process on the second page. Something like:
    :P2_PM_ID := :P1_PM_ID;
    This particular example would be a 'page rendering' process with the process type of PL/SQL Expression. There are certainly other options possible as well.

  • Using a List Component to create a photo gallery.

    This feels like a lot to be asking but i'm gonna go ahead and
    ask to see what happens.
    I'm trying to figure out how to use a list component to
    select 6 items from a large list, display the words to the 6
    selected items (in a text field), then finally (by pressing a
    button) I would like to load the 6 corresponding pictures for the
    selected items into a seperate frame. If there is anyone that could
    point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. I
    have been trying to find information online about programming the
    List Component but haven't had any luck. Is there a book that
    anyone recommends that could help me? I've been doing simple
    animations and websites in flash but i'm now looking to learn some
    actionscripting as well. Thanks.

    Per my understanding that you have two fields in the table "Date and Time picker" which is Date/time type and another is "Item ID", you need to get the Month from the Date field to display in the X-axis and count(Item ID) related to each
    month to display in the Y-Axis, right?
    I have tested on my local environment and can do this by create two calculated fields to get the month and year values from the Date/Time field.
    Details information below for your reference:
    Right click the main dataset to select the "Add Calculated field", specify an name of the new calculated field and add the expression in the field source as below:
    Year:    =Year(Fields!Date.Value)
    Month:  =MonthName(Month(Fields!Date.Value))
    Add the three field in the Chart as below and remember in the Value area you have got the Count(ItemID) but not SUM(ItemID):
    Preview you will got the chart like below:

    How can I use a collection list in a subquery?

    When I try something like this, I get "invalid datatype" on the collection type, listOfIDs_t. Any suggestions? Basically, I want to use the list of values in my collection to restrict my cursor/query without having to loop through my collection and execute the cursor/query each time.

    PL/SQL is two languages. PL is a programming language based on ADA. It is a formal procedural declarative language. It is "Turing complete". SQL is neither - not procedural and not Turing complete.
    PL/SQL mashes these two in a single integrated coding environment - you can write and mix PL and SQL code and the PL engine will figure out where it needs to make calls to the SQL engine, what PL variables it need to pass to the SQL engine (using SQL bind variables) and so on.
    Now you define a structure in the PL engine. The structure resides in the PL engine memory area (the process global area or PGA).
    You now want to pass that structure to the SQL engine and run SQL on it. The SQL engine cannot reference that local PL variable directly. PL has to copy it into the SQL engine.. as what?
    The SQL engine only supports SQL data types. The SQL engine does not know of the PL engine's existence. Just like it does not know about Java, C/C++, Delphi, C#, Visual Basic etc. Nor does the SQL engine support data types of these languages.
    All these languages, including PL, supports the SQL engine in some form or another. Via ODBC, BDE, OCI, JDBC, etc.
    Okay, now how does PL pass that local PL structure to the SQL engine? It cannot. That is a custom PL structure. It can contain (and often does) have features that are not supported by the SQL engine. Like boolean fields.
    What PL can do and does support is SQL data types. Including user defined data types. And these it can use itself natively inside PL (as you also can as objects in Delphi, Java etc).
    And these it can also pass back to the SQL engine for processing.
    That all said - the best place for data is inside the SQL engine (i.e. in tables). It is not the best of ideas to create data structures in PL and then continually pass (copy) these to the SQL engine to run SQLs against. It is slow. It does not scale.
    So make sure that you have sound technical reasons when actually doing this - creating a PL variable of a SQL table type, stuffing data into it, and then running SQLs on it.
