Navigator page fails to display after form creation

We have sucessfully installed Minimal Edition of the 9iAS version 1.0.2.0 and Portal version 3.0.7 was also running fine. After a test Form was created and then saved in the database, the portal still seem to work fine.
However, after the user logs off and then logs on again, when the Navigator link at the top right hand corner is clicked, a "404 Document Error". We also noticed that the Database tabpage at the Administrator Page.
Has anyone else encountered this or have a solution to this?
Thanx a million!

Got a couple follow up questions.  Postiing the response here.
1.  Please send us step by step method on how to recreate the problem, and the URL of the PDF file that shows the issue.
* Write a simple console application that does nothing but starting a browser. Browser URL set to any web site with embedded PDF. I believe I used a sample on Adobe's site for last test.
2. Is everyone in your company experiencing the same issue?
* Yes, everyone can be affected.
3. Does the error show up on any PDF or just the embedded PDF?
* Only embedded.
4. Does the problem occur with Firefox?
* Not browser specific.
5. Do you have any other version of Reader or Acrobat installed on the same system?
* No, clean test box. Tested with 10.0.0 first. Failed. Then cleaned up install and installed 10.1.3. Cannot repro with 9.5.
Root cause appears to be Protected Mode. If I disable that, it works.

  • Oem web page will not display after O/S dst patch

    Hello,
The Grid web page will not display after we DST patch for the o/s.
All below start fine without any errors:
    emctl start oms
    emctl start iasconsole
    opmnctl startall
    emctl start agent
The Grid web page is not displaying. What might happened after the o/s dst patch that might cause this? Our GRID is 10204 with a 10104 repository. The 10104 has not yet been dst patch.
What logs should I be looking at to figure why the web page is not displaying? Thank you.

Provide the output of these comands:
    $OMS_HOME/bin/emctl status oms
    $OMS_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl status

  • Embedded PDF on web page fails to display

We have a number of PDFs that are shown embedded in IE (versions vary).  This worked fine with Adobe Reader 9.5 but with 10, PDF fails to display.
Page takes a while to report error.  Error:
There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader.  If it is running, please exit and try again.  (103:103)
I found a few other discussion similar to this in the forum but didn't find a definitive root cause.
In our situation, we found that if the user launching the web page runs Adobe Reader as standalone first, the error doesn't happen.
While workaround exists, I am trying to understand the root cause to see if we can correct this for all the users in automated manner instead of
mandating launching of Reader standalone as a prerequite step.  Quite a few users using this web app.
Since launching of Reader standalone works, my guess is that some config/setup is done only after first use.  I see that, for example,
reg keys are added under HKCU on first use.  I don't know why first use from browser differs from first use from standalone though.  Difference in
reg access?  Enable/Disable browser plug-in produces different behavior so I don't think the setting is on the browser side.  What other factors
    may be in play here?
All ideas welcome.  Thanks in advance.

  • IOS Pages fails to display documents

Pages on my iPhone 5 fails to display any documents or controls - only shows gray background. It worked on my iPhone 4, but doesn't work since I've upgraded. I've removed it from the iPhone and reinstalled. No change at all. The only thing it shows is "Pages" at the top of the screen, and the gray background (see graphic below). Nothing happens when I swipe or tap. No controls at all.
    Thoughts?

SOLVED:  I encountered another problem trying to use the printer, which as an all-in-one, specifically, trying to use it to scan docs to a computer.  This also failed.
I disconnected the printer from the wireless network.  Then I changed both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks to use Security Mode "WPA2/WPA mixed personal" with all other settings as before.  I then reconnected the printer to the wireless network (using the manual mode and entering the network passphrase).  I was then able to scan from the printer, over the wireless network, to my laptop.  Since that worked, I tried printing from Pages on my iPhone...which also worked.

    Hi,
    What is the application release?
Was this working before? If yes, what changes have been done recently?
Please verify that no errors can be found in the database log file.
If the document referenced above did not help, I would suggest you enable debug to collect more details about the error -- See (249669.1 - How To Collect Apache and Jserv Debugging Details For Applications 11i) for details.

  • Same JSF page is being displayed after submitting form

I have a situation where some of my JSF pages occassionally misbehave. For example, sometimes when I click a <h:commandButton/> (which is located within a <h:form> tag) the action which the button is wired to is not executed. Instead the same page is displayed.
Please note that this glitch happens intermittently with no fixed pattern.
It is also interesting to note that the data which the user enters (prior to clicking the button) on the JSF form is also lost and has to be re-entered again by the user.
Functionally, this is only a minor problem however from a usability perspective this is a major major problem!
    I have tried:
Adding <h:messages /> components to jsp pages in order to see if there are any errors.
Verified the spelling of the outcomes ("success", "cancel") in my navigation rules and in the action methods.
Verified the spelling of my bean in the definition as a managed bean in the faces-config.xml file and in the jsp page.
Verified the name of my action method, in the jsp and in the backing bean.
Checked by logging if the action method is reached.
Used the jsf phase tracker to print life cycles phases. However, when the page "misbehaves" this misses out all the application level phases i.e only phases restore view and render response are actually passed.
Created getters and setters for all bean attributes
I am desperate to fix this. Has anybody found a solution to this problem? Please let me know!
    Thank you.

I am using JSF version 1.1 and the application server I am using is BEA WebLogic Server 9.1.
The page is one in a series like a "bread crumb" trail or in the style of a wizard if you like. The user goes from one page to the next and can go back if he so wishes.
I have a user form. One part of the form requests the user to enter an email address and then click an "Add" command button. However, sometimes instead of adding the email address to the data table the same JSF page is displayed when the button is clicked and all the data is lost, resulting in the user having to re-enter all the information on the form again!
    Hope this helps.

Could someone HELP me with the following issue pls?
    regards

    ------------------------------------------------------------- PROBLEM DESCRIPTION --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    1. Whenever I launch a JSP page, it takes significant time and fails to render with "No back end server available for connection. Timed out after 300 seconds or idempotent set to OFF" message.
    2. These JSP pages are not doing any I/O intensive activities (NO long DB read...) as well (reads a 10-15 KB file from local disk and display some simple UI)
    3. WL Console shows all the THREADS as HOGGING and eventually, the log file shows them as STUCK !!
    4. After some random period of time (1 hr, 2 hr or 5 hr), IF I try to launch the same JSP page, it might succeed.
    5. Re-deploying the .war file/Restarting the weblogic instance, SOMETIME helps !!!
Based Google search, I have done following changes with NO LUCK.
        1.  Changed JVM parameters (--Xms1024m --Xmx024m, MazPermSize=512m ) with NO LUCK
        2. Changed the Java Muxer from native I/O to Java based – NO LUCK
        3.  Changed Deployment Plan to increase  #BackLog request  - NO LUCK

I have run the autoconfig successfuly in all the Application Tiers and generated Product JAR Files. But still the Error Exists.
Please help to resolve this issue.

    Thank You Helios.
The thread which you had mentioned in your previous reply had the similar issue which i was facing.
I moved forward with the remaining Pre-Upgrade Tasks, Applied Maintainence Pack and then completed the Post Upgrade Tasks.
I am very delighted to let you know that my Upgrade from 12.0.6 to 12.1.1 was successful. I got the feeling of GLADIATOR :) when I saw the Login Page appearing for the first
    time after the Upgrade.
Thank you all for your help and Support.

  • Internet appears connected but pages fail to load after 3-5 minutes!  HELP!

I purchased my Macbook three weeks ago and it immediately found my network and connected. A few days later my computer failed to load internet pages (both in firefox and safari). The connection would not disconnect, or seem to slow. I diagnosed and found no problems. To get it to work for small amounts of time I turn off airport and then turn it back on and get a few minutes before I get "Problem Loading Page".
I have updated the firmware in my router. I use a D-Link Router WBR-1310 and a D-Link Cable Modem DCM-202. I have called my cable provider, Comcast, and they tested the connection saying it was strong. I connected directly to the modem and it never failed to stop loading pages the full 20 minutes I was connected.
My computer has no problem connecting to other connections: The Library, neighbors, my parents' home. There are no time outs and it automatically connects through Airport, no problem.
I have called D-Link about the router. They're a bit confusing in troubleshooting the problem. They told me to connect my Ethernet cable to the computer and manually put in IP address, subnet mask, router address, and name server address. First, I don't know where to find any of that except for the IP address. Secondly, do they expect me to connect and leave the ethernet cable in my computer?
Have there been any problems with Macs and this router? What am I doing wrong and has D-Link given me good steps to take? My experience with them hasn't been so great so I'm skeptical. All of this is very upsetting, I can't enjoy my new Macbook at home.

    FrankInColorado wrote:
Yes I had read about this. The point is, especially with something such as wireless, it has to inter-operate with everyone else out there. You would think Apple would do some testing before going to some "recommended" standard that obviously is not widely used in the real world. To someone who just bought a new MacBook, it doesn't matter that Apple is using the "new" recommended way. They just want to be able to connect everywhere they go.
No, networking is a world of standards and recommended procedures. This all used to be a lot easier when there were actual engineers who understood the RFCs running most networks.
You seem to think Apple just throws software over the wall. If that's true, you should swing by Cupertino some time and see if you can meet with a member of their software test groups; I'm sure they'd love to know that you think they don't do anything.
Or perhaps Apple is supposed to test their software with every ISP on the planet first.
And how many people posting in these forums have said when they turn Airport off and back on, then things work again for a while. If the issues are on the other side, why would that make any difference?
Did I or anyone else here say that changing to OpenDNS' servers would solve every issue with every person in each and every one of these threads?
But there have been many cases where switching to OpenDNS' servers does solve people's network delay issues. Hmmm, I guess Apple's cluelessness doesn't apply in those cases.
Come on. He connected directly to the modem and was loading Web pages for 20 minutes without any problem. He goes back to using Airport and the problem reappears. And you think it's reasonable to assume it was just a coincidence that the supposed DNS issue went away while he was connected to the modem and reappeared when he went back to Airport?
It depends now, doesn't it, as I just said.
Perhaps he tried "surfing to a few sites" while connected directly, and when that worked he went back to AirPort. Did he try going to the same sites? Different ones? We don't know.
In fact, even if he did visit the same sites, that wouldn't tell us anything either way as the DNS resolutions for those sites would have been cached when he was connected to the wired network.
This is the same thing that has happened to me since upgrading to Leopard. My wireless started going bad after some minutes of accessing Web sites. If I rebooted the machine, it would be fine again for a while. I finally just turned Airport off and plugged in an Ethernet cable. I have not had any trouble with accessing Web sites since - same ISP (Comcast), same DNS servers.
Tell me there is no Airport issue.
I never said there weren't issues. No one did. Except you implied I did.
Your approach to troubleshooting seems to be "Ah, Apple's software is broken, why bother."
    1) There are many people whose problems have been solved by switching to OpenDNS' servers. That's fact.
    2) There are many ISPs who have broken DNS servers. That's also fact.
    3) Comcast has a variety of DNS servers spread across the country, so your results in Colorado may differ from those of a Comcast subscriber in a different state. Fact again.
    4) You asked for reasons, I gave them, you don't like them. Obviously I must be an Apple shill. Funny, I'll have to ask why I haven't received a paycheck from Cupertino. Ever.
I understand your frustrations if AirPort isn't working for you, but don't turn around and drop into troubleshooting threads and tell people why suggestions we're making can't possibly address their issues just because they haven't solved your particular issue.
That would be just as silly as me assuming that because I haven't seen an AirPort drop since 2007, all of those posting in threads here are simply delusional or incompetent.
The only way to find out what's wrong in each case is to be methodical, and step one in diagnosing network delays is to see if DNS is at fault.
If it is, great, problem solved. If not, on to step two of a nearly infinite sequence.
    One step at a time.

  • WebForms 9i R2: Fails to display application form

    Hi,
I re-installed Forms 9i R2 (Windows XP Pro) because it had ceased working after installing Patch 3 over it, but now it is not working. • Problem with display after forms migration

We are in the process of migrating forms 6i to forms 9i.

Anyone know how of fix this?
We have thousands of forms, so manually changing it is not an option.
    Thanks
    Charles

    We also have this problem.
Boilerplate text requires more space above it, and sometimes gets pushed down by another object. This is particularly evident when boilerplate is split over multiple lines, such as would be used for a column heading.
Apparently this is a Java text rendering issue and "not a bug". Nothing good comes easy...
There is a server solution you could try. It involves setting mapFonts="yes" in the basejinin.htm file.
Setting mapFonts causes all fonts to appear smaller, with less vertical space between text.
The alternative is to use JDAPI, which is the Oracle-supplied Java Design-time API, to modify all your Forms. Have a look at ChangeColors.java in the Forms Demos.
I have thus far used JDAPI only for impact analysis (eg. to find LOVs that display too low on the screen because we were catering for a bug that is now fixed).

  • Web Pages do not display after new installation on Windows 2008 64 bit

    Hi All...
    Environment: Window 2008 64 bit.
Installing: Latest WebTools compatible with 64 bit.
    Installed: 2.0 asp.net
After installing webtools in this environment we attempt to register/request the license.
After clicking on the request - windows prompts you to open.
If you attempt to open, you are asked which program to open with...?
    That seems odd.
At this point this is all I have and am stuck as the system is inaccessible.
    Rob.

    Bryce...
    This did help.
Also - I discovered that the webserver was not previously connected to the domain and was not inheriting permissions.
    Steps Taken:
Uninstalled the IIS and ASP Roles from the web server as local server administrator.
    Joined web server to domain.
Added the IIS and ASP Role.
    Re-installed webtools.
    Registration launched - no exceptions.
    Gracias.

  • Work managers threads constraint and page cannot be displayed

    Hi,
We have a memory intensive processing for certain functionality and we would like to limit the number of parallel requests to process these requests. We are able to acheive configure by using "Work Managers" in WebLogic and putting a limit on the number of threads for that servlet.
For example, if we put maximim thread limit as 3, then if there are 10 parallel requests; 7 requests are in queue. There could be situations where these the requests waiting in queue could take up to 30-40 minutes to be processed.
We are observing that some times we get page cannot be displayed after 15 mins and some times we get this afer 1 hour. Is there a setting in WebLogic that drives page cannot be displayed or is this a browser setting?
    Thanks

  • "Page Not Found" Err after arnd 5 mins of processing on SAP Trans iView

    Hello All,
We are facing an issue related to a SAP Transaction iView on our portal.
This transaction is supposed to upload an excel file in RPM and provide a log after the upload is performed. We are trying to upload around 180 projects and the processing goes on in the backend. The program in the backend works as required, but as the iView shows a page not found after around 5-6 mins of processing, the users cannot see the logs in the end!
I suppose there should be some kind of time-out parameter for the Transaction type iView, but we are not able to figure it out!!
We have tried the following parameters without success:
    icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP, PORT=8035, TIMEOUT=3600, PROCTIMEOUT=3600
    icm/keep_alive_timeout (sec.) = 3600
    icm/conn_timeout = 5000
    rdisp/plugin_auto_logout = 1800
Please do suggest if there is anything else that we need to update to get this process to continue on the Portal and avoid the 'Page Not Found' issue.
For the current on-going discussion for the same issue, please refer:
    ["Page Not Found" Error after arnd 5 mins of processing on SAP Trans iView;
    Thank you for your time!
    Regards,
    Gaurav

    Hi Gaurav,
I know this thread is old. but i am getting the similar page cannot be displayed after 600 seconds.
I changed the ICM timeout to 1800 from 600 but it still doesnt seem to work. Were you able to resolve the issue. If yes then please let me know the fix.
    Regards
    Aditya
