Do anyone know when Verizon is going to add the NBA TV Channel?

Probably not until fall when/if they add NBA League Pass. It was expected this Jan, but never materialized.

I recevied several advertisements for FIOS that showed "NBA-TV" as coming soon to the service. Yet, there has been no addition of the NBA-TV channel. Why was it in your advertising, but now is not provided on your service?

HD wrap-up for 2012

As much as it seems like Verizon never adds HD, I wanted to check to see how many channels I could find that were added this year. In no particular order, I thought of-
4 more NBA/MLS channels

Cartoon Network HD
BBC America HD
Multimedios HD
Ultra Docu HD
Ultra Luna HD
Ultra Macho HD

Two temporary HD channels and one 3D channel appeared for the Summer Olympics.
The NYC region saw the addition of MSG 2 HD this year, not too long after MSG HD and MSG+ HD were added late last year. They are still waiting for MSG+2 HD (and any NHL games) this fall.
The Philadelphia sports region still lacks The Comcast Network HD, and Delaware is without MASN2 HD.

Thanks. I also remembered after I posted that only 3 MLB/NHL channels were added to bring the number to 5. The local addition in New York makes 20 national, 1 local for New York, and 1 regional for the NY sports region. I expect they would add the other sports channel for the NY region this year.

NBA CHANNELS????

Please tell me that Fios will be getting NBA League Pass or at least the NBA channel before the **bleep** season is over. I am a die hard NBA fan who recently traded in her Directv NBA League Pass for Verizon Fios. I love verizon, but a big piece of me is missing....NO NBA CHANNELS...Does anyone have any idea what happened to the coming soon NBA channel?

I couldn't take it anymore after missing the first 20 games of the season -
I switched one TV back to DIRECTV back in early December
Rumor has it Verizon may get it by the all star break - but I wouldn't count on it.
(I read the rumor on this forum somewhere - I did not hear it from Verizon)

Does anybody have the NBA channel in HD yet?
I have had the SD channel since september but am still waiting for the promised HD.

NBA League Pass - Only One HD channel?

I'm interested in the NBA League Pass package but I noticed on Verion Fios only one HD channel is offered for the games at any given time. Almost all NBA teams have a local HD feed. Even the NBA League Pass Broadband has all their feeds in HD 16:9 format.
Does anyone know if there are plans to make available HD feeds for the NBA games? League Pass isn't worth it for standard def.

try going to the menu and then help on the box, then run a self diagnostic, there will be an oob ratio you want it to be over 19. Try adjusting the cable from the wall to see if that helps at all too.

Right now, we can watch MLB or NHL on Apple TV in El Salvador. When will the NBA channel be added?
There is no point to not having it, right now I can access NBA TV on my phone in El Salvador, and send it to my Apple TV via Airplay. So why not just have the app directly in Apple TV?

NBA Channel??? What Happened?

What happened to the NBA Channel? I convinced my brother to switch over to FIOS from Comcast. His main concern was the NBA Channel and I was assured by Verion that it would be coming soon. Now there's no evidence of that and we're locked into FIOS for the next 10 months. Yes, I'm counting the days. I would rather have FIOS, but I'm very dissappointed that you didn't keep your word.

NBA League Pass only has 4-5 channels in HD Come on Man

This is the dumbest thing, come on fios it is 2014, Direct TV has all there games in HD. And don't get me started on H2 history channel 2 only available in SD.

When they did this last year for the additional NHL/MLB HD channels, subscribers to Center Ice/Extra Innings were able to replace their 6000 series STB's with 7000 series STBs. The new channels were MPEG4, and the 6000 boxes can not display MPEG4.
So, if you have a 6000 series STB, it is time to request a change.
p.s. I don't know if that is the case for NBA but I would assume it is. I will check here in a few.

Why arent the nba league pass HD channels turned on for the free preview?

They better be turned on by tommrrow or else i wont be too happy!!

This is because Verizon is in the process if replacing lots of boxes for people to see subscribed channels that are being converted to MPEG-4. If someone is subscribed to the package and can't see the HD channels, they will swap out the box. Verizon doesn't want to swap out boxes at this point for people to see a two week preview and nothing else. I was kind of bummed that I couldn't see the HD channels in the NHL package, but if I wanted them that bad, I would have subscribed.
On another note, I just bought an Apple TV unit, and I will never bother with buying a sports package of regular TV channels again. If I ever subscribe, I'll get the online version and watch it on Apple TV so I can get either teams' broadcasts in HD every day. The only exception is if a local team is involved, and I could only watch on my region's RSN.

Can't watch NBA League Pass on WiFi

I am experiencing the following with NBA League Pass:
1) On TV: I can watch all teams.
2) On my iPad and iPhone with AT&T cellular data: I can watch all teams. But this is too expensive, as one game will eat up 3 Gigs of data.
3) On my computer, iPad, and iPhone with WiFi from Time Warner cable Internet: I can't watch my favorite team. I can watch all of the 29 other teams, but not the only team I care about. And that one team is 2,000 miles from where I live, and so it is not my local team and therefore it should not be blacked out -- but it is for all live and archived games.
4) A Time Warner technician came to my home today and found that if I hook up my computer and Time Warner router directly to Ethernet, I can watch my favorite team on my computer. But this is not a solution, because then I don't have WiFi at all for anything. The technician said the problem is with my Apple Airport Express WiFi device because it is somehow blocking my favorite team and he suggested calling Apple, but my Airport Express is just now out of warranty. He also said I could purchase a new Airport Express.
I work late and many times there is another team that plays on my team's channel for a later game, and so I need to be able to watch archived games on my computer or iPad with WiFi. I know that games are not available for two hours after they are played, but for me all of my team's archived games are blocked for the entire season when I try to use WiFi.
NBA League Pass said the problem is with Time Warner and claimed that the proof of that is that I can watch NBA League Pass games on my iPad and iPhone using AT&T cellular data -- and so that narrowed down the problem to WiFi from Time Warner cable Internet. I can toggle back and forth from cellular data and see the game, and then to WiFi but the same game is blacked out. I am not using a VPN that masks my location, but NBA League Pass said there is something about my WiFi that is misreporting my location. I tried using NBA League Pass' tool that checks my IP address location, and it shows that it is local to my area as it should. NBA League Pass said that when someone moves there is often a problem, and I did move six weeks ago 30 miles to a new Time Warner zone.
This is frustrating because I spent $189 for NBA League Pass to watch my favorite team but can't watch many of its games. I am also concerned that next season the same problem will occur and I won't be able to watch my favorite team on WiFi.
I am getting 33 Mbps speeds on my computer and about 27 Mbps on my Ipad with WiFi, so the speed is okay.
I am seeking help from anyone who knows how to fix this problem with watching NBA League Pass on WiFi. Should I buy another AirPort Express (I just bought one three months ago)? Should I dump Time Warner and go to Verizon FIOS? Or is there a setting I can change that would solve this problem? Thank you in advance.

Been looking for NBA League Pass for a long time - anybody got any positive news ?

I bundled FIOS TV with Verizon back in the summer (2008) -
I dropped DIRECTV because I was assured Verizon FIOS TV carried NBA League Pass -
Well it is 20 games into the season now and still no NBA League Pass on Verizon FIOS TV (at least not in Northern Va)
3 weeks ago the channel guide from "MENU" on the FIOS TV remote control says NBA Channels "Coming soon" for channels 1490 to 1499 or so.
I have called Verizon at the 1-888 and 1-800 #s several times and questioned what is going on but nobody seems to knows anything ,
I even got an email from a Verizon store on November 18 that stated
"The NBA package went active on Saturday. If we can assist you in placing your order to make it go as smooth as possible please let us know".
Does anybody know what is going on ?
I think I have been patiently waiting way too long .
I hate to have to get DIRECTV or Dishnetwork on just one TV , (I bundled because I was trying to save money) but .....

Shortly after I posted my "issue" I finally got some accurate information (I believe) from Techman - who I think is a Verizon employee -
anyway Techman seems to know more than anyone else I talked to with Verizon , and he said something about NBA LP might possibly be on Verizon
TV -by the end of January, but nothing "set in stone" - so ...
(I was definitely tired of waiting way back in early November... know what I mean?)

Hello, I'm trying to record start a YouTube channel for doing NBA Basketball videos, but when I go to record on ps4 it always come up that recording has paused or has been blocked,
I spoke to playstation about this problem and they said its with the licensed agreements that you are not aloud to record....

Review NBA league pass in NZ

I live in New Zealand.
Normally watch NBA live around 5pm NZ time.
I have a couple of comments:
1) my other channels has very good connections, but watching live games I have not encountered a smooth broadcast. My view is often interrupted by error in connection every 2-3 minutes. Only very very rarely I am able to watch a full game without such frequent interruption.
2) I opted for the more extensive subscription , but I realised youtube NBA has faster more up to date highlights or video of the Starters show than NBA league pass. Otherwise the league pass has some old games and a show by hosted by Grant Hill but only once a week, and no option or viewing it electively any time.
I have regrets subscribing to the channel. I would at least hope that (other than the better connection) as subscriber we can have more access to other NBA shows and that it would-be archived so we can access it anytime.

Ok. Just got off the phone with Verizon and here is their answer:
"The NBA League Pass will be shown in HD once the Free Trial is over. Direct TV and Comcast are not offering the games in HD either until the Free Trial is over."
I don't know if there is any truth to this because you would think they would show the games in HD for the free trial to get more people to purchase the league pass. Sounds fishy. Then he tried to get me to sign up today for the league pass after I just told him I did not want it unless the package was in HD.
I'm going to wait until after the free trial is over and ask some of my buddies if all the games are in HD.
He tried to convince me to order it and he'll make a "note" on my account to refund all my money for the league pass if it is not in HD. You can only imagine what aheadache that would be trying to get my money back.
