NDR not sending to group members

I have tried as both a distribution group and a shared mailbox.  as a dist group, all members receive regular email.  but in the instance of an NDR, none of the members will receive.  if I log into the group mailbox directly, I see the NDR
message.  I have tried creating rules specifically looking for the undeliverable message and forwarding the the members, but this doesnt work either.

Hi w.alexLNRA,
According to your description, I understand that DG isn't forward the NDR to members, when someone send as DG and return an NDR.
As my per knowledge, if you send email as DG, and for some reasons, NDR returned, the NDR would delivered according to the configuration in the advanced TAB,
1. Send delivery reports to group manager.
2. Send delivery reports to messager originator.
3. Do not send delivery reports.
When you send as DG, the messager originator is DG, and so the NDR would not be found though your mailbox, you could check the log to confirm where the NDR go.
So, if you want to receive the NDR you could add your account as the owner/manager of the DG.

  • RRM RF Group Leader not updating RF Group Members

We cannot get RRM RF Group Leader to update the RF Group Members. On our group leader controller, it sees our other controllers in the RF group. We have APs assigned to all four of our controllers and the tx power and dynamic channel assignment do not work. When we put all of the APs onto the RF group leader controller, the tx power levels and dynamic channel assignment both work as they are supposed to. All of our settings on our controllers are exactly the same. I guess my question is, is there a set of specific settings that I need to apply before RRM starts to update from the RF group leader?

We have all four of our controllers on the same RF Domain Name. We have verified the status of the Mobility Group using eping and mping. We split up our APs on two of our controllers that are in the same 6500 and it still would not update from the RRM Group Leader. We "tricked" the WLC into moving the group leader onto the other controller that was in the same 6500. The same thing happened, now the 2nd controller won't send updates to the original controller. We moved all the APs onto the group leader and everything worked fine.

  • Can send individual email but can not send to group

I am setting up a new pop account using gmail on the mail program. I am able to send email to an individual or reply to an individual but I am unable to send an email to a group. I get the message that I was unable to send using my smtp.
When I use the connection doctor it says the outgoing server is connecting/working.
    Any ideas or solutions?

I figured it out: gmail has a maximum number of people in a group it will send from a pop. the max is 100. if you send from their server it is 500.

  • Mail app will not send to groups

I have a group defined in contacts called Jokes..
The iPad mail program does not recognize the word Jokes as a group of addresses.
Is this a bug or a feature..?

I'm having the exact same problem on my iMac. I can receive email from imap.mail.yahoo.com, but cannot receive from smtp.mail.yahoo.com. I have not changed these settings in years and as of a few days ago they stopped working. These settings work fine on my iPhone and iPad.
    So far I have:
    -Deleted accounts and reestablished them
-Deleted the Mail preference file ->com.apple.mail.plist

  • My mac mail is not sending certain groups when I drag the list over from address book. It is also sending to addresses in older groups I have deleted frm the group!

    Thoughts?

One thing to try would be to clean up the previous recipients list in Mail > Window > Previous Recipients

    Hi Richard,
Thanks for the reply - I think I've sorted it though and there isn't actually an issue.
The whole group wasn't receiving the NDR, only the group manager which I setup a few weeks prior. This is a new feature so it complies with certain RFC's, basically the group manager will recieive the NDR to let them know there is a problem.

  • SharePoint 2010 email enabled groups do not deliver messages to group members

I configured my SP2010 farm to send and receive email propperly.  How do I know this?
Because I receive alerts from SharePoint all the time.
Because I can email enable a library and I can send documents to it successfully
Because I can look at AD and see that the contacts have been created in the appropriate OU
So the problem is only with the SharePoint groups and corresponding AD Distribution List.
I can assign an email addres to a SharePoint group from the SP interface
I can verify that the Universal Group is created in AD as expected
BUT, email sent to the group email address is not sent to the members of the group. I also know this doesn't happen because the distribution list in AD has no members.  If I add a member to it manually from the AD Computer and Users console then the
    member get the message.
The bottom line is that SharePoint is not pupulating or updating the Distribution List in AD as it should.
I can rule out permissions because the the DL is created and the FARM Account and APP Pool account both have FULL Control over the OU where those contacts and Groups are created.
Does any one have a light to shed on this?
    Thanks a lot,
    Fernando

    Great article here:
    http://joyknows.wordpress.com/2011/01/12/sharepoint-alerts-not-working-for-group-recipients/
Unchecking “Require that all senders are authenticated” on the mail enabled group in Exchange Management Console, allowed Alerts to come through to AD groups using
    SharePoint.
I struggled with this but the steps in the post resolved it for me.
    Thanks.

    Hey Grupo Castillo,
Thanks for the question. You can actually configure this behavior from Mail preferences:
    1. Choose Preferences from the Mail menu.
    2. Click Composing.
    3. Deselect the checkbox for "When sending to a group, show all member addresses".
When you send an email to the group, only the groups name will be seen.

  • HELP....why do I keep getting "Not Delivered" errors when trying to send a Group MMS text message?

I am trying to send a Group MMS text. There are 6 recipients. I hit "send" and the progress bar goes almost to the very end, and then hangs up....and eventually I get a "Not Delivered" error message. I click on the "i" icon and it says "your message was not sent. Tap try again to send this message." I've done that time and time again, and the same thing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Try sending it as a regular text message... turn off iMessage.

  • Task Assignment to Ggroup - Group Members Not Getting Email

I have a process with an approval activity with initial user selection set to a group rather than a specific user. I want all selected users to receive an email notification that a new task awaits them. When I assign to a specific user, the custom email template is sent to the user. When I assign to a group, the group members don't get the task assignment email.
How do I change that so that group members will receive email notification of task assignment?
    Thanks in advance!
    Eric

    One possible solution:
You can use our Group Lookup component to get a comma-separated list of the emails of the members of the group. Then, in the step before the User>assignTask step, send the group an email. The only problem is that you won't be able to embed a link directly to the task, because the task doesn't exist yet.

To work around this problem, you can use the technique outlined here:

  • When I send a group email why does the address bar not present the names alphabetically?

I frequently send emails to groups.  Sometimes, for one reason or another, I want to delete one or more contacts from the list that appears in the address bar.  Why does the list not  appear in alphabetical order and is there any way that I can edit my contact lists to make it do so? It means picking through a list one by one rather than scrolling down a list to find a contact in the correct order.

Basically I suggest you keep using Eudora.
Like most of those moving now, they are unlikely to be happy with anything else. But then that is to be expected, you have clung to abondonware for 5+ years after it's replacement. People that dedicated are unlikely to be happy with anything else.
The Business standard and professionalism are not based on the Eudora way of things. I suggest you stick undisclosed-recipients: into a google search box and get instructions on how to do things for all the major mail clients.
Of note Thunderbird displays nothing in the To field, even though the undisclosed-recipients: is inserted in the outgoing mail.
    <blockquote>
I have tried using Bcc, and indeed, the recipients are suppressed, but not as a group. I have to change every recipient address from To: to Bcc: manually.
    </blockquote>
Perhaps if you use the buttons at the bottom of the contact pane to add the list to BCC you would not have to manually change anything. See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/addressing-email#w_selecting-the-entries-from-the-contact-pane
I am interested however how when you added a list so it appears on multiple lines. All I see is he list name until after I press the send button and look at it in the sent folder.
Most people use another address entirely in the to:, in conjunction with the BCC list. It verifies the list mail is sent by coming back and you can put whatever you like in the display name of the email address.

  • How do I send a group text and not have everyone else get the responses

How do I send a group text and not have everyone else get the responses?   Thx

Whether or not everyone gets the response depends solely on the person responding. i.e. you send a group text and i am one of the reciepients. From here i have two options, reply to the group text (everyone gets my reply) or i could text just you on the side (by opeining a new window in messages with just you as the reciepient) and replying to just you. Theres nothing you can do, its up to the person replying whether or not they reply to the entire group or just you seperately.

  • 6.1 SP2 Caching realm not caching group members

    Hello:
We have caching realm set over LDAP security realm.
We see caching realm never caching group members.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks
    Gennadiy
Here is the sequence we see:
    1) Search for user name - OK
    2) Search for group name - OK
    3) - ALWAYS going to LDAP to get group members even though they should be cached
    at this point.
The question is - why does it go to LDAP at all?
I am doing the same call a 1-2 seconds apart. The group members should be cached.
It looks like caching realm does not actually cache the members within a group.
The realm is configured to cache group membership:
    Enable Group Cache true
    Group Cache Size: 211
    Group Cache TTLPositive: 600
    Group Cache TTLNegative: 600
    Group Membership Cache TTL: 300

  • Custom ICF Connector; Upd ChildTableValues (delete) not sending group name

I'm building a custom ICF connector implemented as a .Net bundle. The UpdateChildTableValues operations for add and update on groups pass the group name into the code but the delete does not. There doesn't seem to be any indication of the operation itself for groups so it seems the developer must handle target group memberships in the code, which is fine. However, if a delete doesn't send the group name, how do I know what group to even look for? It seems this also adds the burden of API calls against OIM to identify the user's group assignments as well as a target search to compare and decide what was removed.
    OIM 11gR1 on RHEL 6.4 (64-bit)
    11.1.2 Connector Server on Win2K8R2 (64-bit)
    .Net 4 target build/C# 4.0

You have 2 options when working with child tables:
    1) use ICProvisioningManager#updateChildTableValues -- this provides the list of values after the update, so let's say the attribute has values group1, group2, group3, you remove group1 then the UpdateOp#update with attribute values group2, group3 will be called on your connector (so in this case your connector needs to implement UpdateOp). You are right, it might mean additional target API call in your connector (depending on target).
    2) use ICProvisioningManager#addChildTableValue, ICProvisioningManager#updateChildTableValue, ICProvisioningManager#removeChildTableValue -- when you use these methods, the connector will get the changes only. In the previous example UpdateAttributeValuesOp#removeAttributeValues with value group1 would be called on your connector. You connector needs to implement UpdateAttributeValuesOp to make this work.
