Neat Little Trick!!!

So today I turned on my Macbook and opened iTunes then as i went to minimize it by clicking the yellow gem button i hit shift while clicking the button. As you know most people have the Genie effect turned on so it kind of ***** the open window into the taskbar, well by holding shift while you click minimize it does the whole genie effect in slow motion haha
not sure what youd use it for but still fun.
also let me know if this is a glitch with my macbook or it really is a little trick haha

Yeh I love doing that, mostly to impress people.
I like this sort of inverted colour thing LOL. Im joking....
But for some reason I have not yet turned it off.....
EDIT: ARGGHHH!!! Just turned off anf now temporary blinded, I love the brightness of this screen!!!!

  • Secret Little Trick....

    There is a Secret little trick that Apple™ hasn't told you about the iPhone and iTouch.....
    I call it Screen shot:
    (This is How you do it)
    -Hold down home button
    -While holding that down press the sleep button once.
    it should show ur screen flash to white and fade back in.
    Go to your Photos and a picture of your Home screen should be there
    Now you can do this to anything for example: a website, a problem you are having with a App, or anything else from iPhone/iTouch.
    Thanks,
    Dylan

    Yeah this is pretty old since it's been mentioned in so many threads. Just look up tips and tricks and you'll find 50 other great tips....some of which aren't even mentioned on apple's site.
    Since you are on the screenshot topic...something interesting:
    "Jonathan Zdziarski showed that every time you press the Home button on your iPhone, a screen capture is taken in order to produce a visual effect. This image is then cached and later deleted. Zdziarski says that there have been cases of law enforcement looking up sex offenders' old data and checking recovered screenshots." This revelation occurred in the midst of a webcast on iPhone forensics, demonstrating how to bypass the iPhone's password security (not trivial but doable). Video from the talk is not online yet but is promised soon over at O'Reilly.

  • Neat little spooky "Home" icon gone missing on iPhone.  Anyone know about it?

    I've had a neat little icon that can be moved around on my Home Page that will take me home at a flick, as well as take me other places I might choose.  It was a dark circle with a lighter circle in the center and could be moved anywhere on the face of the iPhone.  It was present on all pages and was a real boon.  Does anyone know what it is called and how I can get it back?
    Thanks in advance.   ....goldie

    Thank you so much Mr. Allen Sampson for your prompt and acurate response!  That is what I was looking for.  I really do like it even though it's like a little puppy dog always getting under foot.

  • I wonder if you have missed a free neat little plug-in?

    I downloaded a plug-in from Noise Industries recently:
    http://www.noiseindustries.com
    and in correspondence from this company it was mentioned that few movie makers had downloaded it.
    It is part of an FXFactoryFreebie pack and I found is fabulously easy to use and a great deal of fun, thoughtfully and beautifully engineered, just, I might add, as it is with those of their other products I have tried.
    I think perhaps the title may have put people off, and if you were deterred, stay with me for a few seconds.
    Star Wars.
    I am wondering if some glanced at this and thought, "Oh, pooh, they already made that movie. I am not into sci-fi, even tho I could certainly do a better job than that Lucas guy." A natural thought. I thought it myself.
    However.
    I used that slanting back and away rolling script for the opening of a family movie with my house standing in for Tara. ( It is nothing like Tara; it is a four bedroom house with a creek in back, standing on a slope overlooking the mortgage.)
    Then I noticed something. The rolling script can be changed so that it runs absolutely vertically. Switch to some neat white fonts and you have a rolling opening title. Put it at the end of your movie and you have a fine looking credit scroll. You could insert expository text in the middle. (When the police arrested Blenkinsop it dawned on him that using a machete on his employer in front of 20 witnesses may have been a tad indiscreet.)
    Boris has a fine rolling scroll, and there are others. I found this one very easy and pleasant to use and so I prefer it.
    If you don't have it, take a look at it, and while you are there, eyeball their free Ken Burns plug-in, too.
    Disclosure. Alas, I have no financial interest in this company.

    Thanks a lot for this information !
    Is It the list of installed add-ins from your SRM system ?
    In fact, It seems that BW and SRM are linked with PI_BASIS installed in each systems ... So, these is no PI at all ...

  • A Little Trick of iPod and iPhone

    Hello,
    Well here's the trick.
    Go to the music app on your iPhone or iPod Touch
    then play a song that has lyrics with it.
    Then, tap once on the screen so the lyrics are shown.
    Then, tap and hold with one finger.
    Then, rub the screen with another finger.
    Then it will return to the home screen immediately.
    I don't know if anyone posted it before just delete this if it's already posted.

    yep its a bit useless...
    but it comes handy in a your-home-button-is-broken-and-you-are-playing-a-song-with-lyrics-and-you-will- die-if-you-don't-pause-immediately situation

  • So I was face timing my girlfriend and it just stopped working, it says "Error occurred during activation, Try again" :/ what do I do? Is there a way to fix this? I tried the dns thing, and every little trick in the book. What if she restored it?

    Any help would be amazing.

    I suspect an Apple server problem. Many users have been reporting problems with Messages and Facetime today.

  • Neat OAM Trick (showing users' groups), but a problem...

    Hi,
    I took an OAM class this week, and the instructor showed us a way to show users' group membership in User Manager.
    To do this, create a derived attribute for the inetorgperson attribute, e.g., named "ThisUsersGroupMembership", and configure it with:
    Self
    groupofuniquenames
    uniquemember
    Then, add the derived attribute to the user panel, and then go into User Manager and display an individual user's profile. The user's group membership should be displayed as the "ThisUsersGroupMembership".
    I thought that this was pretty nice, but I noticed that if I go to the User Manager's main page and customize it to display the "ThisUsersGroupMembership" attribute,
    the attribute name is shown, but no values are shown for that attribute.
    I'm trying to figure out why the values for the derived attributes are not being displayed on the main User Manager page, and also if it's possible to get that working?
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Jim,
    Yes even I am not able to list users. I did not understand what you were exactly pointing to in your earlier mail.
    This seems to be a bug with OAM but before we arrive at this conclusion. I think we should try and look at the xml response sent by OAM for search result. I am not able to recall how we can see the xml response in the browser. If you know then you can try and see if the Groups of the user are returned? If groups are returned then you will have to look at the stylesheet being used and modify it to display the groups.
    If groups are not fetched then it must be a bug with OAM.
    Thanks
    Preetam

  • Ical Applescript questions and missing commands

    This is an advanced itunes question....
    I am using itunes with ical and applescript to run a radio station.   I have used alot of things from Doug Adam's and taken some things past where i can get help.   I am using itunes 7...and os X 10.5.8 .   i am also using ical buddy, gcal(for xml) and a few other neat little tricks.
    I have run into a few technical problems and was wondering if anyone knew how to fix them.
    1 Problems happen:    is there a way to disable ALL pop-up warnings in itunes........not just sync, or playlist warnings, but all errors that require someone to click......
    2 is there a way to Toggle (on/off) itunes soundcheck in the preferences when you set a playlist to play with an applescript
    Thank you,
    Jacob Bouchard
    www.wfku.org

    I  have updated to Itunes 10.4, and have encountered a whole new set of problems
    1. (solved)  the popup warnings in Itunes 10.4 are gone.   I have a good backup applescript that forcequits the applescript app, or forces a return Key press into the warning window.   It works but i want to make it better
    2. (solved)   I have solved the soundcheck problem with an applescript (its not pretty, but does the job)
    NEW PROBLEM:
    upgrading to Itunes 10.4 removed the *Smart shuffle features that were in Itunes 7.6.   (this is much different from smart playlists)
    I NEED THAT FEATURE
    Can someone at apple please give me the Hexidecimal code  i need to replace in the com.apple.itunes prefs file that will re-orient the smart-shuffle  to *shuffle "Songs"  with "least likely artist repeat" Setting
    Thanks in Advance,
    Jacob
    *Removed in iTunes 8
    also as a sidenote iCal version 4.04 is doing something shady when i export the event information.   It feeds garbage into my code which creates errors apparently at random.   The problem is resolved with earlier and later releases of iCal (That i cannot use becuase i have a Macbook pro 2006 Intel Duo core which will not take the lion operation system)   Sometimes it feeds garbage after the ical information that my shellscript is requesting

  • Introduction to regular expressions ... continued.

    After some very positive feedback from Introduction to regular expressions ... I'm now continuing on this topic for the interested audience. As always, if you have questions or problems that you think could be solved through regular expression, please post them.
    Having fun with regular expressions - Part 2
    Finishing my example with decimal numbers, I thought about a method to test regular expressions. A question from another user who was looking for a way to show all possible combinations inspired me in writing a small package.
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE regex_utils AS
      -- Regular Expression Utilities
      -- Version 0.1
      TYPE t_outrec IS RECORD(
        data VARCHAR2(255)
      TYPE t_outtab IS TABLE OF t_outrec;
      FUNCTION gen_data(
        p_charset IN VARCHAR2 -- character set that is used for generation
      , p_length  IN NUMBER   -- length of the generated
      ) RETURN t_outtab PIPELINED;
    END regex_utils;
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE BODY regex_utils AS
    -- FUNCTION gen_data returns a collection of generated varchar2 elements
      FUNCTION gen_data(
        p_charset IN VARCHAR2 -- character set that is used for generation
      , p_length  IN NUMBER   -- length of the generated
      ) RETURN t_outtab PIPELINED
      IS
        TYPE t_counter IS TABLE OF PLS_INTEGER INDEX BY PLS_INTEGER;
        v_counter t_counter;
        v_exit    BOOLEAN;
        v_string  VARCHAR2(255);
        v_outrec  t_outrec;
      BEGIN
        FOR max_length IN 1..p_length
        LOOP
          -- init counter loop
          FOR i IN 1..max_length
          LOOP
            v_counter(i) := 1;
          END LOOP;
          -- start data generation loop
          v_exit := FALSE;
          WHILE NOT v_exit
          LOOP
            -- start generation
            v_string := '';
            FOR i IN 1..max_length
            LOOP
              v_string := v_string || SUBSTR(p_charset, v_counter(i), 1);
            END LOOP;
            -- set outgoing record
            v_outrec.data := v_string;
            -- now pipe the result
            PIPE ROW(v_outrec);
            -- increment loop
            <<inc_loop>>
            FOR i IN REVERSE 1..max_length
            LOOP
              v_counter(i) := v_counter(i) + 1;
              IF v_counter(i) > LENGTH(p_charset) THEN
                 IF i > 1 THEN
                    v_counter(i) := 1;
                 ELSE
                    v_exit := TRUE;
                 END IF;
              ELSE
                 -- no further processing required
                 EXIT inc_loop;
              END IF;
            END LOOP;
          END LOOP;
        END LOOP;
      END gen_data;
    END regex_utils;
    /This package is a brute force string generator using all possible combinations of a characters in a string up to a maximum length. Together with the regular expressions, I can now show what combinations my solution would allow to pass. But see for yourself:
    SELECT *
      FROM (SELECT data col1
              FROM TABLE(regex_utils.gen_data('+-.0', 5))
           ) t
    WHERE REGEXP_LIKE(NVL(REGEXP_SUBSTR(t.col1,
                                         '^([+-]?[^+-]+|[^+-]+[+-]?)$'
                       '^[+-]?(\.[0-9]+|[0-9]+(\.[0-9]*)?)[+-]?$'
    ;You will see some results, which are perfectly valid for my definition of decimal numbers but haven't been mentioned, like '000' or '+.00'. From now on I will also use this package to verify the solutions I'll present to you and hopefully reduce my share of typos.
    Counting and finding certain characters or words in a string can be a tedious task. I'll show you how it's done with regular expressions. I'll start with an easy example, count all spaces in the string "Having fun with regular expressions.":
    SELECT NVL(LENGTH(REGEXP_REPLACE('Having fun with regular expressions', '[^ ]')), 0)
      FROM dual
      ;No surprise there. I'm replacing all characters except spaces with a null string. Since REGEXP_REPLACE assumes a NULL string as replacement argument, I can save on adding a third argument, which would look like this:
    REGEXP_REPLACE('Having fun with regular expressions', '[^ ]', '')So REPLACE will return all the spaces which we can count with the LENGTH function. If there aren't any, I will get a NULL string, which is checked by the NVL function. If you want you can play around by changing the space character to somethin else.
    A variation of this theme could be counting the number of words. Counting spaces and adding 1 to this result could be misleading if there are duplicate spaces. Thanks to regular expressions, I can of course eliminate duplicates.
    Using the old method on the string "Having fun with regular expressions" would return anything but the right number. This is, where Backreferences come into play. REGEXP_REPLACE uses them in the replacement argument, a backslash plus a single digit, like this: '\1'. To reference a string in a search pattern, I have to use subexpressions (remember the round brackets?).
    SELECT NVL(LENGTH(REGEXP_REPLACE('Having  fun  with  regular  expressions', '( )\1*|.', '\1')))
      FROM dual
      ;You may have noticed that I changed from using the "^" as a NOT operator to using the "|" OR operator and the "." any character placeholder. This neat little trick allows to filter all other characters except the one we're looking in the first place. "\1" as backreference is outside of our subexpression since I don't want to count the trailing spaces and is used both in the search pattern and the replacement argument.
    Still I'm not satisfied with this: What about leading/trailing blanks, what if there are any special characters, numbers, etc.? Finally, it's time to only count words. For the purpose of this demonstration, I define a word as one or more consecutive letters. If by now you're already thinking in regular expressions, the solution is not far away. One hint: you may want to check on the "i" match parameter which allows for case insensitive search. Another one: You won't need a back reference in the search pattern this time.
    Let's compare our solutions than, shall we?
    SELECT NVL(LENGTH(REGEXP_REPLACE('Having  fun  with  regular  expressions.  !',
                                     '([a-z])+|.', '\1', 1, 0, 'i')), 0)
      FROM dual;This time I don't use a backreference, the "+" operator (remember? 1 or more) will suffice. And since I want to count the occurences, not the letters, I moved the "+" meta character outside of the subexpression. The "|." trick again proved to be useful.
    Case insensitive search does have its merits. It will only search but not transform the any found substring. If I want, for example, extract any occurence of the word fun, I'll just use the "i" match parameter and get this substring, whether it's written as "Fun", "FUN" or "fun". Can be very useful if you're looking for example for names of customers, streets, etc.
    Enough about counting, how about finding? What if I want to know the last occurence of a certain character or string, for example the postition of the last space in this string "Where is the last space?"?
    Addendum: Thanks to another forum member, I should mention that using the INSTR function can do a reverse search by itself.[i]
    WITH t AS (SELECT 'Where is the last space?' col1
                 FROM dual)
    SELECT INSTR(col1, ' ', -1)
      FROM DUAL;Now regular expressions are powerful, but there is no parameter that allows us to reverse the search direction. However, remembering that we have the "$" meta character that means (until the) end of string, all I have to do is use a search pattern that looks for a combination of space and non-space characters including the end of a string. Now compare the REGEXP_INSTR function to the previous solution:
    SELECT REGEXP_INSTR(t.col1, ' [^ ]*$')
      FROM t;So in this case, it'll remain a matter of taste what you want to use. If the search pattern has to look for the last occurrence of another regular expression, this is the way to solve such a requirement.
    One more thing about backreferences. They can be used for a sort of primitive "string swapping". If for example you have to transform column values like swapping first and last name, backreferenc is your friend. Here's an example:
    SELECT REGEXP_REPLACE('John Doe', '^(.*) (.*)$', '\2, \1')
      FROM dual
      ;What about middle names, for example 'John J. Doe'? Look for yourself, it still works.
    You can even use that for strings with delimiters, for example reversing delimited "fields" like in this string '10~20~30~40~50' into '50~40~30~20~10'. Using REVERSE, I would get '05~04~03~02~01', so there has to be another way. Using backreferences however is limited to 9 subexpressions, which limits the following solution a bit, if you need to process strings with more than 9 fields. If you want, you can think this example through and see if your solution matches mine.
    SELECT REGEXP_REPLACE('10~20~30~40~50',
                          '^(.*)~(.*)~(.*)~(.*)~(.*)$',
                          '\5~\4~\3~\2~\1'
      FROM dual;After what you've learned so far, that wasn't too hard, was it? Enough for now ...
    Continued in Introduction to regular expressions ... last part..
    C.
    Fixed some typos and a flawed example ...
    cd

    Thank you very much C. Awaiting other parts.... keep going.
    One german typo :-)

  • Photoshop window disappears

    So Photoshop just started this neat little trick today where everytime i open the program, the program window pushes itself to the far right corner of my screen and no matter what i click i can't get Photoshop centered on my screen.  I can't open any files and I can't see any tools except the Photoshop logo and the File button...which I can't select for some reason.  I've tried rebooting the program as well as rebooting the whole machine, but the problem has persisted.
    I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I was upgraded to Windows 7 about a month ago...would this cause my Photoshop to operate like this?

    Reset your graphics driver by uninstalling it and then reinstalling it. It has stored some bad config data. You may also do this manualyl by sifting through the registry and erasing all stored window positions, but the first methosd would be easier (and safer).

  • OBIEE Control Formatting of Chart

    Hi all
    I am just starting to use/learn about charts in OBIEE
    I was wondering, is there anyway I can control the spacing between columns in a regular vertical bar graph?
    Currently my chart is showing up with all the measures/values side by side
    It would be nice to have a bit of white space in between certain sets to provide some spacing.
    Any help appreciated
    Thanks

    That empty fact/measure is a neat little trick
    Would it be possible to create some "grouping" or white spacing if it is all the same measure seperated by groupings?
    So for example I have course registrations as follows
    Course 1 Course 2 Course 3
    Registration 2012 6 4 6
    Registration 2013 4 54 60
    So right now the vertical bars for course 1, 2 & 3 are all side by side, 2 bars for each course (2012/2013 year)
    I wanted to group 2012/2013 on top of course 1 - white space - group 2012/2013 on top of course 2 etc
    Would this be possible?

  • Modem for use with airport extreme?

    I know that the AirPort Time Capsules do not have a built in modem and I need an external one.
    I also have ADSL internet as opposed to Fibre so I need to find something suitable to sit between the Time Capsule and the interent. I realise that I could simply use the modem / router supplied by my ISP and switch off the wi-fi on that and just use the modem aspects, but this uses an additiional power source.
    My question is: Is there a suitable modem that will sit between the AirPort Time Capsule and an ADSL internet connection that does not need and additional power source?
    If not (and I suspect there isn't as I can't find one), then is there any benefit in having a independent modem only device over using the ISP supplied modem / router and switching the router aspects off?
    Thanks for any advice as I am having a real nightmare setting up my third party modem / router to work with an Apple network with some additional non-Apple devices and feel that going down the all Apple route of an AirPort would just make my life so much simple...

    PPPOA is the big issue..
    You cannot bridge to a modem running that authentication. There is no client that will work so the Apple has to be in bridge.. or some dicey double NAT setup.
    The Thomson/Technicolor offers a dhcp spoofing but it goes through the NAT and it also causes heaps of issues.. Thomson modem routers have the worst possible NAT called full cone. You must manually bind all UDP ports to the NAT to get access.. and even that is not workable for many functions.
    So you are quite right.. it is a mess.
    Hence my thought to switch to an Apple router as it automatically opens relevant ports and recognises Apple devices. I have no idea (at this stage) how to set up a router / modem or bridge or other device to sit between the Apple AirPort Time Capsule and the ADSL internet connection.
    Using the Apple router to open ports, is not going to help.. because you cannot bridge the modem.
    So where do you end up.
    The reason I am struggling with my Asus DSL-55n modem is that it is just too complex for me to get to grips with and there is little in the way of support documentation from Asus to assist me is overcoming the specific difficulties I have been having.
    What issues are they?
    I do not particularly like Asus modems.. they are generally poor firmware.. but have you loaded in the latest firmware.. check for updates because they have been improving.
    A solution might be the Draytek 120 modem.. it has a neat little trick where you do PPPoE to PPPoA on the modem.. there are a few that can do it but the only readily available now that I know of is the draytek.
    There is a mode in the Thomson called PPTP to PPPoA relay.. this also works very well but Apple do not support these more esoteric connections.. it is better used on a third party router.
    If it makes any difference at all, my ISP allocates me a static external IP address which I have paid for and is automatically pushed to whatever router I seem to use.
    It is only significant if the authentication method is IPOA .. where you use the IP as static on the router and have no authentication.. but static IP for PPPOA simply means your public IP doesn't change.. useful and helpful but not a solution to this problem.
    http://www.draytek.co.uk/products/vigor120.html
    Look at the setup for pppoa bridge.

  • My camcorder plays a 'fluid' 50 stills per sec, FCP not as smooth at 25fps?

    Hi,.. I'm obviously still new to Final Cut Studio 2 and understand some basics, however I still haven't got my head around a simple issue with FCP that's bugging me a little and no doubt it's something ridiculously simple and is going to make me look stupid.
    I'm using a Sony TG3E/TG1 camcorder, ok it's a consumer camcorder but its both 'tiny' in size and the 1080i video and 5.1 audio is shockingly good, no actually its amazing! However having a tiny camcorder fitted my requirement.
    My original AVCHD video footage form the Sony TG3E/TG1 camcorder is incredibly smooth and lifelike in it's motion. I was able to verify this by being able to pause the picture and was able to display '50' separate still pictures/frames one by one within a one second time period or time line, by naturally advancing the 'frame/still advance button' forward one at a time until the next 'minute' was reached in the timeline on the camera display and each still looked very good and clear.
    However once logged and transfered into FCP, the browser window showed 25fps and does not appear to have that 'real lifelike fluidity motion' when played back in either FCP clip browser viewer or the timeline sequence, as that played back from original AVCHD from the camcorder to external LCD panel.
    I had previously set the 'sequence preset' within the 'Audio and Video Settings' for FCP's timeline to 1920x1080i 50 and I'm assuming that the '50' denotes fifty separate fields/stills (frames?) per second, or does it really mean each of the 25fps have two separate interlaced fields and thus producing 50 separate fields and giving the effect of 50 frames per second, as it did in practice from camcorder to external monitor. However I don't see this on playback, nor when advancing still picture by still picture when on pause. Whatever the process, the result is that I'm only getting 25fps in the FCP timeline and I can't seem to work out how to get the 50 separate stills per second on playback viewing, as I'm only able to advance 25 stills per second in the timeline and playback just hasn't got that fluid motion smoothness magic as experienced from camcorder.
    Any advice is welcome and appreciated, thanks.

    cool, thanks..
    It's safe to assume then, that once the final edit has been completed and outputted/exported to disk, the played back version on HD TV from a blu-ray player (or other) will be displayed at the super smooth 50 fields/stills per second?
    I have to admit that when I was 'pausing' the picture previously on either the camcorder or on the blu-ray player (both giving the mentioned 50 stills per seconds), the actual quality appeared deceptively good and I wouldn't have guest I was viewing only half the vertical resolution at a mere 540 pixels. Impressive! Unless of course the LCD TV is doing its own upscaling routine to improve each field's quality when receiving an interlaced source..
    Just for reference sake (and worth noting), 'blu-ray' player playback of original AVCHD footage is possible by transferring the AVCHD footage including its correct file structure (as normally stored within the camcorder's storage media) straight onto a regular single layer DVD, then it can be actually decoded and played back on a blu-ray player in it's HD detail.. a neat little trick and nice to know. The Sony VRD-MC5 Multi-Function DVD Recorder makes transferring the AVCHD footage direct from camcorder to DVD possible and a breeze (no I DON'T work for Sony)..

  • Tutorial: Integrating Blogger into iWeb

    I hate how you have to be at your home computer to do any changes to your website or even post something to your blog, so using blogger I figured out a neat little trick I thought might be of some use.
    Create your website like you normally would in iWeb, and go ahead and create a news/blog page, just leave it blank. You want to create the page so that in ieb you can go ahead and make links to it from your other pages. Publish your site.
    Next sign up for a blogger account and start blogging. When you are done, publish your site through ftp, with the same title as your iweb page (usually blog.html or in my case news.html) Make sure to publish to the right folder on your website. Also don't use index.html, this is generally reserved for the first page a visitor sees and will write over your website. It may take some time to figure out just what to enter into the ftp form. Publish your blog and voila.
    The layout will not be the same as your iweb layout unfortunately, but you can link back and forth between the two and can update your blog from anywhere.
    If anyone knows how to copy the layout from blogger and incorporate it into iweb, please let me know.

  • Open First time?

    EVERY time I open Fetch, I get that box "You are opening this for the first time..." (takes 40 seconds to appear, too. Drives me insane). I dumped the LaunchServices pref, and that doesn't help. Got a neat little trick anyone? Thanks.

    Proggie,
    Apple's operating system normally doesn't keep track of when third party programs are installed on the Mac. Every software developer typically writes their own DRM to prevent people from installing software on so many machines that licenses aren't overused without just compensation. Thus a good compiled non-free application will check for the preferences it wrote to make sure you only installed on that particular machine a copy of the program, and usually use the registration code as something to build those preferences with.
    That's what the case was with Fetch, which is not free. Flock on the other hand, I googled and found:

    As it is free, and is having issues like this, I'd contact their technical support.
