Insistiré hasta la saciedad: MI IMAC 8,1 Y OSX LEOPARD LLEVAN YA CASI 3 MESES IMPIDIÉNDOME AVANZAR EN MI TRABAJO LITERARIO, MUSICAL Y FOTOGRÁFICO.

Pues a mi me pasa lo mismo pero con un iPhone 4 y con la música y lo más importante, las Notas de voz. Si le daoy a sincronizar me dice que me lo borra todo en el iPhone y a mi me da algo si me lo borra todo. Qué hacemos? las pestañas nuevas se abren con otro buscador y necesito que abran con google.
Para resolver tu problema debes hacer click en Firefox > Opciones (Editar > Preferencias o Herramientas > Opciones si tienes barra de menús), y en la pestaña General, estable en Página de inicio http://www.google.es/ o la página que tú prefieras.
Imagino que el buscador se te ha cambiado con la instalación de una barra de herramientas que seguramente impida este cambio. En ese caso, ve a about:addons (escríbelo en la barra de direcciones) y haz clic en Extensiones. Allí busca alguna extensión llamada "toolbar" o "search", haz clic sobre el nombre y luego sobre Desinstalar (o Desactivar si lo prefieres). Reinicia Firefox y vuelve a probar a cambiar la página de inicio. También deberás cambiar el buscador predeterminado en la barra de búsqueda, para ello haz clic sobre el icono del buscador que tiene una flecha desplegable, y elige Editar motores de búsqueda... Suprime el motor non-grato y sube Google hasta la primera posición.
Por último, si la barra se reactivara o cualquier otra cosa, ve a Agregar o quitar programas (XP) o Programas y características (Vista / 7 / 8) en el Panel de control y desinstala cualquier "toolbar" o barra de herramientas que veas. -

I have a 3 year old MacBook Pro with MAC OSX 10.6.8, iPhoto ’09 version 8.1.2 and have downloaded two software programs: one is Aperture 3.2 and the other is Photoshop Elements 9 (which I got from a friend who didn’t need it).
I am totally happy with the way iPhoto organizes my photos and how I can work with iMovie to create slide shows with music from iTunes, etc.
I have been shooting mostly high resolution jpegs and I continue to learn more and more about photography, post processing etc. I realize that the small adjustments I can make in iPhoto are good, and are adequate most of the time. However, a have started to experiment with shooting RAW images and would like to go the next step, ie. post processing.I am totally technically challenged and need SIMPLE, INTUITIVE programs and am certainly NOT anywhere ready for Photoshop CS whatever!
After having these programs sit on my computer, I decided to try to see if I could figure them out. When I opened Aperture, this is what first comes up.

I have heard horror stories about moving your entire library to Aperture, ending up with 2 libraries, etc. etc. hence my previous reluctance in attempting Aperture. In addition, many of my photography friends are saying: Go with Lightroom 3.....you’ll love it!
So here is my dilemma. I don’t want to mess around with my iPhoto library. All I want to be able to do, is to isolate a few photos, export them to Aperture, Elements, and work on them there, then bring them back into iPhoto.
Can I do this? Should I forget about Aperture and Elements and look at purchasing yet another program like Lightroom?Export those few photos via the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export menu option with Kind = Original to the Desktop. Then import them into the Aperture library. That would keep one copy in your iPhoto library and another in your Aperture library to edit, etc.
You can use Photoshop Elements 9 from within iPhoto as your editor of choice. However, if you edit a raw file in iPhoto with PSE9 the resulting edited version must be saved outside the iPhoto Library and imported back in as a new file. For editing jpegs just do a Save (not a Save As) and it all will be kept within iPhoto.
Using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop or Photoshop Elememts as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop. When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window
that indicates that PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file. You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
NOTE: With Photoshop Elements the Saving File preferences should be configured as shown:
I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always. In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:
Note: to switch between iPhoto and PS or PSE as the editor of choice Control (right)-click on the thumbnail and select either Edit in iPhoto or Edit in External Editor from the contextual menu. If you use iPhoto to edit more than PSE re-select iPhoto in the iPhoto General preference pane. Then iPhoto will be the default editor and you can use the contextual menu to select PSE for your editor when desired.

You can't. iCloud is not for general file backup from a Mac. It's for backup up and syncing data between mobile devices and and Macs and The following is from this Apple document: iCloud: Backup and restore overview.

But not from a Mac. If you want to backup your photos and other important files I suggest you get an external hard drive and use it with Time Machine.

QUESTION.
Hallo , my question is ;whenever I delete a photo and restore it through Time machine and Western digital external hard drive , I am able to restore the photo but not the titles and descriptions . Western Digital inform me that it isn't their external hard drive problem and suggest that it is an Apple software problem ?
I am using a Macbook 4.1 , with Mac OSX 10.5.8 . I photo 7.1.5 , last modifie4d 01/05/2010 -universal . Should I be upgrading Iphoto ?
I hope that someone is able to help in this matter , as i have to restore 12000 photos !

I am not quite ready to restore the full iphoto library , as I have days of work re - imputting titles,descriptions and enhancement . I hope that your suggestion works , as I use my Macbook basically to work with digital photography. Through time , I will need to delete my library to recover more disc space and I would hate to have to spend more time re - imputting titles and descriptions all over again .

When using Iphoto to import photo from existing folder to iphoto, what happens if:
1. I delete that photo in iphoto? will the original file in the folder be deleted too ?
2. when importing, does the hard disk store 2 versions of the photo, hence occupying additional space in the harddisk?1 - no -- iPhoto only manages fiel within the iPhoto library - it does not ever do anything with files outside the library
2 - No idea what you are asking - by default (and strongly recommended) iPhoto copies the original to the iPhoto library and you delete the source file outside the iPhoto library - iPhoto alwasy has at least two versions of every photo and some times three - it always have the original, a thumbnail and once a photo is modified a preview - this is not optional - if it is not what you want then iPhoto is not the correct progrtam to be using for phopto management

I tried the adobe removal tool
removing all copies of adobe software manually
installing from a new account, safe mode, plist everything suggested that i found did not work.
A colleague suggested that removing the below folder would allow the installation:
/Library/Application Supports/Adobe
They turned out to be correct, so i am passing this on, because this took far too many hours of my time.

I was just trying to clean up my computer a bit and saw that I have versions 1.4.2_04, _05 and _06. They are 107MB, 108MB and 108MB, respectively. Do I need all three of those or can I delete 4 and 5? Michele
