Necessity EP in NW BI 7.0?

Hi all,
We are facing an upgrade from BW 3.5 > NW BI 7.0. I'm a little bit confused about the (functional) necessity of EP. In most documentation I understood EP is at least a necessity as technical platform but also for publishing WebTemplates as the role menu's are obsolete in NW BI 7.0. On the other hand some documentation suggest otherwise, like the "Publishing Strategies" from Prakash (see slide 77 of https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/70e18305-2356-2910-4bbe-9c1ebd751032) showing a publication of a WebTemplate in a BI role and that's exactly what my client wants: new front-end functionality but still use the role-concept.
Can anyone help me on this issue?

Hello Henk,
Java (EP) is needed for <b>ALL</b> BI 7.0 specific functions: 7.0 web templates, 7.0 queries, PDF printing, portal broadcaster. These are all handled by J2EE portal services.
It is<u> no problem</u> to choose a upgrade without the EP, then you'll have a 1 on 1 upgrade and keep using your 3.5 templates, with the roles handled by the abap Web Application Server (WAS). Also the reporting agent, Bex download scheduler, 3.5 broadcasting is still available and working as before. DTP can be used this has no interaction with the portal since this is abap functionality.

Na realidade, se voce for realmente trabalhar com o GRC, dependendo da secretaria da fazenda que voce ira trabalhar aconselhor que voce aplique o sp15 no grc, consule SAP Note 1487119, nessa nota haverao todos os procedimentos necessarios.
Como haviamos falado anteriormente por e-mail, seria necessario, caso vc realmente queira trabalhar com o GRC a aplicacao de algumas notas tecnicas no proprio GRC.

Incoterms relevance in business: Commonly-used trading terms that comply with the standards established by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
Use: Incoterms specify certain internationally recognised procedures that the shipper and the receiving party must follow for the shipping transaction to be successfully completed.
Example
If goods are shipped through a port of departure, the appropriate Incoterm might be: FOB ("Free On Board"). You can provide further details (for example, the name of the port) in the secondary Incoterm field: FOB Boston, for example.
Different types of inco terms
"EXW"- Ex Works
Title and risk pass to buyer including payment of all transportation and insurance cost from the seller's door. Used for any mode of transportation.
Seller : In EXW shipment terms the Seller (Exporter) provides the goods for collection by the Buyer (Importer) on the seller or exporter's promise. Responsibility for the seller is to put the goods, in a good package which is adaptable and disposable by the transport.
Buyer : The buyer or Importer arranges insurance for damage transit goods. The Buyer or importer has to bear all costs and risks involved in shipment transactions.
(However, if the parties wish the seller to be responsible for the loading of the goods on departure and to bear the risks and all the costs of such loading, this should be made clear by adding explicit wording to this effect in the contract of sale. )
"FCA"- Free Carrier named point
"FCA"- Free Carrier named point: Title and risk pass to buyer including transportation and insurance cost when the seller delivers goods cleared for export to the carrier. Seller is obligated to load the goods on the Buyer's collecting vehicle; it is the Buyer's obligation to receive the Seller's arriving vehicle unloaded.
Seller : The Sellers responsibility is to deliver the goods into the custody of the transporters at defined points. It is important for the chosen place of delivery to have an impact on the obligations of loading and unloading the goods.
Buyer : The Buyer nominates the means of transport or shipping mode and pays the shipment charges.
The seller and the buyer agree upon the place for delivery of goods. If the buyer nominates a person other than a carrier or transporter to receive the goods, the seller is deemed to fulfill his obligation to deliver the goods when they are delivered to that person.
"FAS"- Free Alongside Ship
FAS- Free Alongside ship: Title and risk pass to buyer including payment of all transportation and insurance cost once delivered alongside ship by the seller. Used for sea or inland waterway transportation. The export clearance obligation rests with the seller.
In FAS has price includes all the costs incurred in delivering the goods alongside the vessel at the port or nominated place of the buyer but there is not applicable charges to the seller for loading the goods on board of vessel and no ocean freight charges and marine insurance.
Seller: The responsibility of the seller are fulfilled when the goods are placed cleared along the ship.
Buyer: Buyer or Importer bear all the expenses and risks of loss or damage of transit goods which are delivered along the ship.
"FOB" - Free On Board
The FOB (Free on Board) price is inclusive of Ex-Works price, packing charges, transportation charges upto the place of shipment., Seller also responsible for o clear customs dues, quality inspection charges, weight measurement charges and other export related dues. It is important that the shipment term in the Bill of Lading must carry the wording "Shipped on Board' it must bear with signature of transporter or carrier or his authorized representative with the date on which goods were "Boarded".
Seller :Seller responsible for clear customs dues, quality inspection charges, weight measurement charges and other export related dues. Seller: The chooses the carrier, concludes and bears the expenses by paying freight to the agreed port of destination, unloading not included. The loading of the duty-paid goods on the ship falls on him as well as the formalities of forwarding. On the other hand, the transfer of risks is the same one as in FOB.
Buyer: The buyers supports all the risk of transport, when the goods are delivered aboard by ship at the loading port, buyer receives it from the carrier and takes delivery of the goods from nominated destination port.
"CIF"- Cost, Insurance And Freight
CIF- Cost, Insurance and Freight: Title and risk pass to buyer when delivered on board the ship by seller who pays transportation and insurance cost to destination port. Used for sea or inland waterway transportation.
This Term involves insurance with FOB price and ocean freight. The marine insurance is obtained by the exporter at his cost against the risk of loss or damage to the goods during the carriage.
Seller: The CFR extends additional obligation to the seller for providing a maritime So insurance against the risk of loss or damage to the goods. The seller pays the insurance premium.
Buyer: He supports the risk of transportation, when the goods have been delivered aboard the ship at the loading port. He takes delivery of the goods from the carrier to the appointed port or destination.
"CPT"- Carriage Paid To
CPT- Carriage Paid To: Title, risk and insurance cost pass to buyer when delivered to carrier by seller who pays transportation cost to destination. Used for any mode of transportation.
This term uses land transport by rail, road and inland waterways. The seller and exporter are responsible for the carriage of goods to the nominated destination and have to pay freight up the first carrier.
Seller: The seller or exporter controls the supply chain after paying customs clearance for export. Seller or Exporter select the carrier and pay the expenses up to the destination.
Buyer: The risks of goods damages or loss are supported by the buyer as goods are given by the first carrier. The buyer or importer has to pay importation customs clearance and the unloading costs.
"CIP"- Carriage And Insurance Paid To
CIP- Carriage and Insurance Paid To: Title and risk pass to buyer when delivered to carrier by seller who pays transportation and insurance cost to destination. Used for any mode of transportation.
This term is similar to Carriage Paid To but the seller has to arrange and pay for the insurance against the risk or loss or damage of the goods during the shipment.
Seller: The seller or buyer has to provide insurance and seller pays the freight and insurance premium.
Buyer: The buyer or importer supports the risks of damages or loss, as goods are given to the first carrier. The buyer has to pay customs clearance and unloading charges.
"DAF"- Delivered At Frontier
DAF- Delivered At Frontier: Title, risk and responsibility for import clearance pass to buyer when delivered to named border point by seller. Used for any mode of transportation.
This term is used when the goods are to be carried by rail or road.
Seller : The seller is responsible to make the goods available to the buyer by the carrier till the customs border as defined in sales contract.
Buyer : The buyer takes delivery of the goods at the contract agreed point border and he is responsible for bearing all customs formalities.
DES"- Delivered Ex-Ship
DES- Delivered Ex-Ship: Title, risk, responsibility for vessel discharge and import clearance pass to buyer when seller delivers goods on board the ship to destination port. Used for sea or inland waterway transportation.

DEQ"- Delivered Ex-Quay

So we can reprocess the same IDOC by using this T-code after solving the system problem. There is no need to create new IDOC.

No for client server deployment you don't need iAS.
On the second issue Forms server (the bit of forms used to web deploy) is no longer sold stand-alone - it is part of the iAS suite.

I'm taking a guess here, Labview is an interpreted language and that means
it needs something to convert the labview code into machine instructions,
the converter is the Labview runtime engine.
I think even if you create a *.exe file you need the runtime engine to run
it. I don't have the full d
evelopment version though so don't quote me on

anyway we do all that in the assembly backflush.
in assembly backflush , system do backflush the activity and the component.

1. Assembly backflush - GR(131) & GI(261) & activities will get posted (If in REM profile check box for
post activities is included means) and a material document will be generated.This is the normal
backflush used for production confirmation.
2. Component backflush - Only 261 movement for the component's will be taking place and a material
document will be generated and no GR or no activities will be posted.This will be used for posting extra
consumption of component's than the planned one.
3.Activity B/F:
Using the activity backflush in Repetitive Manufacturing, you can backflush activities separately, that is, independently of the goods receipts..By choosing Activity scrap, you can switch from the excess activity consumption to the activity scrap. A separate movement type is provided for the scrap backflush. This means you can also define a separate cost element in Controlling.

Hi Sasi,
You can run Abap Web Dynpro applications without browser by using a SAP Web Dynpro Client. This will give you an extra tabpage in the SAPlogon which you can use to start applications.
You can download this from https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f941800e-0701-0010-29ba-b29c5caa8eeb. It is possible that there are more current releases, just do a search on "Web Dynpro Client".

Anche io vorrei segnalare l'atteggiamento scorbutico e arrogante di un operatore del centro apple di Orio
mi sono recato da loro per un iphone5 che non riuscivo a resettare, ho chiesto di collegare il telefono al pc
mi è stato detto che il telefono era bagnato ed era inutile collegarlo ma poteva essere solo sostituito.
Al di la del fatto che non mi risulta nel modo più assoluto di aver bagnato il telefono, avendo bisogno del telefono ho dovuto pagare e sostituirlo
quello che mi ha fatto arrabbiare è l'atteggiamento indisponente dell'operatore che al mio diniego per il suo rifiuto nel voler collegare il telefono al pc
se ne è andato demandando ad un menager l'intervento che a sua volta ci ha passato ad un terzo per la sostituzione
sostenendo che loro sanno fare il loro lavoro !
non mi dilungo oltre ma ho trovato l'operatore molto stupido, saccente e non degno del marchio che rappresenta
bastava avere la pazienza di collegare il telefono al pc e dimostrarmi quello che asseriva
ho un'azienda grafica da 25 anni, uso solo Apple,
anche io mi sono sentito trattato come un incompetente con aria arrogante da uno stupido saputello.

It may happen that in a business transaction the partner in the document header does not apply to all items, for example, if specific goods for a customer are normally delivered to another ship-to party.
In sales documents and billing documents you can enter one of the deviating partners from the document header at item level.
You have planned to have the partner function in the partner determination procedure for sales document items or billing items.
When creating a document , the system copies the document header partners to the items. If you want to define another partner than the one in the document header at item level, overwrite the proposal from the item partner screen.
You have planned the partner function ship-to party in the partner determination procedure in Customizing for sales document items and have defined this as changeable.
Create a customer sales order as usual.
The system copies the partner from the customer master into the document header and then from the document header into the items.
Select the item, that should receive a deviating partner.
Choose Goto --> Item --> Partners.
The partner screen for the item appears. Here you can overwrite the changeable partner functions.
Try to read the SAP help. U will find some more info.
